Lovely food and lovely people :)

Food was very salty and it seems like it was overcooked Papa’s used to cook very good food before but not anymore that taste has changed it’s very disappointing moment.

We usually love it here but there was a table next to us of about 20 people that were so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves think. Such a shame when you’re trying to catch up with people and talk. The staff didn’t intervene.

Havent been for a few years but better than what i remembered. Great service and warm atmosphere

Ajwain Paneer tikka was too salty and Aloo chat was overcooked also the Chat does not have Chat type of taste.

We were hosted by Natalia who was so lovely and accommodating and ensured we were comfortable with a baby and provided a high chair and pillow (as he isn’t big enough for them) food was great and the atmosphere was nice and christmassy :)

Amazing food and large portions. Slow service due to how busy it was but waiter was great. Not a great drinks selection and I would say they are also slightly over priced.

Been going to Papa J's since last 10 years, the food is still amazing, does meet the authentic Indian food taste. Ambience is improved and Natalia served us well and looked after our needs. Keep it going Papa Js still a fan of your authentic Indian Food.

Had a really disappointing meal here, which is a shame as I’m a regular customer. The chicken in the curries tastes gone off and the curry sauces tasted really bad. The naan was also extremely salty and like a cracker. We complained and they replaced the meat dishes but it was still awful. No one even bothered to check if the food was better and no discount was offered. Just awful.

Our first ever Indian restaurant in Luton, absolutely fabulous with their menu and the taste! Hope to come here rather soon!

I went to Papa Js on Friday and the food and atmosphere was great as always. I was served by Pawel, who was my previous school student for the last 3 years. I can tell he has matured a lot since then and delivered great service. His manners have greatly improved and did a great job serving me and my husband.

The place randomly caught my eye while spending one night in Luton and it was a delicious, different, Indian tapas-style restaurant with endless options. I was dining alone and definitely over-indulged with three tapas platters and a paratha, but everything was super tasty with the perfect level of spice. I was served by Laila, who was absolutely lovely 🌹

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant, thanks to Maryam! Her service was outstanding from start to finish. She was attentive, friendly, and ensured everything was perfect with our meal. It’s not the same under newish management but the food is still good quality and very good services as well which you were pleased about the menu is original and interesting with good quality food and we were very happy with our meal and drinks and service

Had to review uber eats delivery order on here as it is impossible to do so on uber eats itself. Portions were extremely small and prices are very large even with a discount. 4 tiny pieces of chicken and no sauce at all for what would be £11 normal price. Rice tasted worse than uncle bens microwave rice and they are charging £6 per portion!! Shame as I thought this was a reputable establishment. They certainly won’t be getting any more orders from me. Absolute rip off

I had dinner at Papa J's yesterday, and it was fantastic! The atmosphere was cozy, but the highlight of the evening was definitely our waitress, Iman. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. For being a fairly new staff member, Iman was super knowledgeable about the menu and helped us pick out some amazing dishes. Her energy was infectious; from her lovely attitude to her resourcefulness even when she wasn’t 100% sure on certain things, and she checked in on us frequently, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was delicious, specifically the dishes Iman recommended. If you go to Papa J's, make sure to ask for Iman. She’ll make your experience truly memorable! Today, my family and I had another amazing meal at Papa J’s, and I have to give a shoutout to our waitress, Natalia. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel right at home. Her friendly vibe and attention to detail were just fantastic. Natalia really knew the menu and helped us pick out some amazing dishes. We went with her recommendations and they did not disappoint! She was so enthusiastic about the food, it made us even more excited to dig in. What I loved most was how she kept checking in on us without being overbearing. It felt like she genuinely cared about making our experience great. It’s refreshing to have a server who really puts in the effort to make you feel special. If you’re looking for a place with delicious Indian food and top-notch service, definitely head to Papa J’s and ask for Natalia. She’ll make your meal even better!

absolutely loved this restaurant, i’ve seen reviews and decided to check it out and see if it was as good as it seems.. and it was! i think this is my new go to restaurant if i want indian food. i LOVED the chicken curry it was amazing and served by a lovely waitress, Iman. the manners and politeness of this lovely server for me tonight was beyond me, not only did she take my order with a smile she was very lovely and kind throughout my time here.. i would most definitely come back here and recommend coming here with family and friends for a nice meal out x

Visited Papa J's at Luton today. Ordered butter chicken and butter nan. The butter chicken came quite fast, but tasted like it was made from one of the 'heat and eat' packages. The naans were also not made properly. They were undercooked and were raw from the inside. Overall, a total disappointment from what was once upon a time a good restaurant.
