Papa J's Indian Tapas Restaurant Bar Luton in Luton

Thoroughly impressed with the dining experience at Papa J’s in Luton! Lamb chops were juicy, succulent & cooked to perfection. Kudos to Chef Shivam for preparing them so well. This dish is a gastronomic delight. We also tried the Tandoori Chicken which was equally delicious and as authentic as the Tandoori found at some of the best restaurants in North India. Special thanks to our server Manav who was friendly, polite and kind enough to allow us in during the fading hours. Looking forward to our next visit !

We had the best night here. There was a large table there at the same time as us but the staff were attentive, friendly and prompt. The food was so so tasty. Fresh and hot. Everything was great.

The food was alright especially the Veg Manchurian bursting with flavor and cooked well.I believe it's not the same taste that used to be before months think the management or chef changed. They're using sweet corn in Veg kadai which felt like the cheap mixed veggies bag from Lidl and the Fried Okra is shrunk I mean there's more flour than the ladiesfinger. A big shoutout to Natalia for her warm hospitality and made sure everything's right atleast. But there was another girl who I asked for the bill and when paying she made us uncomfortable pushing us to tip more that was really annoying I tipped already and said that's it and again she's keep on asking my friend so you wanna tip I mean wtf was that.

My first experience with Indian cuisine was wonderful, The food was incredibly flavorful. The staff were genuinely delightful, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.

I have ordered online yesterday and when we started eating food it was very disappointing moment we had because Ajwaini Paneer Tikka was too salty and Aloo chat was cold and very chewy it was look like overcooked and it does not have chat taste to it. It was taste like Sweet (in taste) potato curry with pomegranate.

Havent been for a few years but better than what i remembered. Great service and warm atmosphere

We usually love it here but there was a table next to us of about 20 people that were so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves think. Such a shame when you’re trying to catch up with people and talk. The staff didn’t intervene.

Food was very salty and it seems like it was overcooked Papa’s used to cook very good food before but not anymore that taste has changed it’s very disappointing moment.

We were hosted by Natalia who was so lovely and accommodating and ensured we were comfortable with a baby and provided a high chair and pillow (as he isn’t big enough for them) food was great and the atmosphere was nice and christmassy :)

Amazing food and large portions. Slow service due to how busy it was but waiter was great. Not a great drinks selection and I would say they are also slightly over priced.

Been going to Papa J's since last 10 years, the food is still amazing, does meet the authentic Indian food taste. Ambience is improved and Natalia served us well and looked after our needs. Keep it going Papa Js still a fan of your authentic Indian Food.

Had a really disappointing meal here, which is a shame as I’m a regular customer. The chicken in the curries tastes gone off and the curry sauces tasted really bad. The naan was also extremely salty and like a cracker. We complained and they replaced the meat dishes but it was still awful. No one even bothered to check if the food was better and no discount was offered. Just awful.

I went to Papa Js on Friday and the food and atmosphere was great as always. I was served by Pawel, who was my previous school student for the last 3 years. I can tell he has matured a lot since then and delivered great service. His manners have greatly improved and did a great job serving me and my husband.

Our first ever Indian restaurant in Luton, absolutely fabulous with their menu and the taste! Hope to come here rather soon!
