One of the best Indian meals I have ever eaten and I have eaten a few! I can highly recommend the Pressure Cooker Lamb, the Vegetable Rice and the Peshwari Naan. Friendly and efficient service, too. Highly recommended.

The quality of food has gone downhill big time, the pieces of paneer are very thin these days.. they don’t read what the order is and if there is any special request .. 3 times in a row these people do the same blunder .. the person over the phone just says sorry and says it wouldn’t happen next time .. these people are just taking their customers for granted .. i have left a message for the owner to ring me back on my number but i don’t have any hope .. rated ZERO for shrinking the portion sizes and simultaneously increasing the costs .. i hope they listen to their regular customers and stop fiddling with their food taste/ portion size/ costing..

We came here on a friend's recommendation to celebrate my dad's birthday. The whole staff was so welcoming, Nikhil took great care of us and then they surprised us with a cake. Naveen the manager, very kindly took the video while we were busy celebrating. Everyone truly went above and beyond and the food was also exceptional. Highly recommend the Rajasthani Lal Maas, Chilli Wala Prawns and Matka Kulfi. Would definitely come here again when we visit Luton, it was a beautiful experience.

This is a halal restaurant on a road with several Indian restaurants so it’s a great place to come and find a place to eat in Luton. If you’re in the city, you should try this place. The menu offers a wide array of starters which come in small plates (but are a generous portion) and a select few main curry dishes. The starters we tried were chilli king prawns, mogo (Casava) chips and chilli paneer. Each of these were delicious and we could not finish them. The mains we tried were black pepper chicken and Rogan Josh lamb. The chicken dish was quite unique, I’ve never had this before. It was tasty. The lamb was delicious. My colleague enjoyed quite a few cocktails (naughty mango was very nice) and I enjoyed 3 of the 6 mocktails on the menu. While there are a lot fewer mocktails, they were all interesting. I was not too keen on the basket of naans (some 3 naans served in quarters) as some were quite oily. However, overall, it was a good value choice. I highly recommend this palace which was fairly busy on a Monday evening; this shows that it’s a local favourite.

Me and my friend decided re visit papajs this evening and much to our disappointment and the food wasn’t as it use to once taste. The food tasted as if it was made with no love or passion. The manager Navi and his staff were very attentive and they did their best to rectify the situation and satisfy us. Thank you Navi and your colleague for reassuring us. We hope the food quality improves and meets high standards as it advertises, when we visit again next time.

Timely service, great atmosphere and decor. Busy with people.

Food was overall very good however the Lamb Chops were smelly either due to it being out for too long or being over marinated.

Everything was good. Our favourite was chicken chettinad. Also, Nikhil took a beautiful pic and made it memorable

Came for dinner this evening with my dad. Food was delicious but a little heavy on the chili. Would be nice if that was dialled back so you could appreciate all the other flavours. Good drinks selection, lovely atmosphere & very attentive staff, particularly Navin. The momos & chili prawns were tasty 😋

Absolutely phenomenal. Papa J’s has been a family favourite for years. Their chilli chicken & chatpata wings are a must order. Whenever we have dined in, all staff members have been extremely attentive with the restaurant always providing a buzzing atmosphere, perfect for a local date night or celebration. The standard is maintained in takeaways, arriving hot and fresh, with no compromise in their signature taste. A very special thank you to manager Pam who epitomises gold-standard customer service. I am always greeted by name, be that whilst placing an order over the phone, upon collection or dining in.. Not only that, Pam remembers my go-to order and customisations, without prompt. It is this very personal touch that Pam provides, making each and every dining experience a true pleasure. A final thanks to Head Chef, Rahul, who has mastered our customisations and always cooks our dishes to complete perfection - Ask for ‘Kiara’s chilli chicken & chatpata wings’ and you wont be left disappointed! Fantastic restaurant in the centre of Luton. The food is delicious with a variety of dishes to choose from. In fact it’s hard to choose as it’s all so good! It has a relaxed atmosphere and staff are very friendly. I will definitely be back!

Not a great first experience, sauces felt like they were " watered down " the naan was overcooked and im pretty sure not fresh and one of the kormas exploded over the order !! .... probably more of a delivery issue but still !
