Was missing 2 sides worth £8, rung the restaurant to be told that they were ticked off on the ticket so I must have them... and I still haven't found them!! Awful service and another place to add to the list of awful, sub-standard rip-off takeaways in the area.

Very poor quality looks like the chef needs lessons in Indian cuisine I place d an order and the chicken Tikka masala was sweet looks like it was cooked with pumping and coconut disgrace nothing like our Indian Cuisine very sad never to order again

We went as family group of 8 and everyone had great food no complaints at all. Will be going back considering there are two other Indian restaurants on the block and the competition keeps Deli lounge on top for me.

Terrible service!! Ordered in Uber eats. They have their own driver, he got my address wrong called me and shouted and was extremely aggressive and rude. Called the store they don’t seem to care

As part of our ongoing Curry Tour, we visited the Delhi Lounge in Sundon Park, Luton, but wish we hadn’t! There are not enough words in the English language to describe how bad the food was at this restaurant, but awful, terrible, nasty, vile, rank, dire, dreadful, horrible seem fairly appropriate! The restaurant presents fairly well and appears relatively smart from the outside. Inside however was cold and we had an electric heater plugged into a scorched plug socket next to our table. There were no other customers in the restaurant at all – we should have taken this as a big warning sign. We ordered a couple of poppadums whilst we started to look through the sticky menu and these arrived almost instantaneously. I wish that they had disappeared as quickly as the poppadums were stale and chewy. They’d certainly been hanging around for a while! The ‘pickles’ were as equally disappointing. At this point I suggested that we pay and leave, but was persuaded to stay to see if things improved (Spoiler Alert: They didn’t!) We went for the ‘Banquet Night Special’ which states in the menu that it includes: Starter, Main, Side, Naan and Rice for £18.95. We started to order and were told on various menu choices we made that ‘those dishes were extra’. The choice on the so-called Banquet was actually pretty limited, especially compared to other restaurants in the locality offering full menus as options. When asked whether or not the Onion Bhajis were made at the restaurant, the waiter assured me that they were made in the kitchen. I didn’t catch his name, but let’s call him Pinocchio. It was very apparent that both the Bhajis and Samosas were bought in frozen and refried. I’m pretty sure I have seen bags of these at C*stco. They were bland, tasteless pap. The salad also on the plate was somewhat ‘limp’. Mains arrived… …we really should have just paid then and gone to the Subway next door. Everything was just absolutely terrible. The vegetable Dhansak had no lentils in it, despite being a lentil-based dish! The other chicken main (which we paid extra for as it was ‘not included’) consisted of curried Bisto and 5 small pieces of cheap chewy chicken. Even the small amount of chicken in it was left as it was so bad. The Sweetcorn Bhaji side was a tinned sweetcorn with a bit of onion mixed in. The Bombay Aloo was so greasy it was inedible. On a small positive note, the plain pilau was OK, but how can you get plain rice wrong? Naan breads were probably the nicest bit of the main course, but the rest was so bad you just didn’t want to eat any of it. If this was a French restaurant, it would be described as ‘merde’ The comedy moment was when the waiter asked if everything was OK… …he was like a rabbit in the headlights when we told him that it was actually terrible and probably the worst Indian food we’d ever had. His response was that other customers like it. I think Pinocchio didn’t realise that the other 2 Indian restaurants close by (which we have also visited) actually HAD customers. Now we know why! The highlight of the entire meal was the After Eight mint that came with the bill. Drinks were exorbitantly expensive too – a diet coke and a bottle of Cobra was over £10. We both believe that this is probably the worst Indian Restaurant that we have visited throughout Bedfordshire. Avoid at all costs. Eating your own earwax would be more enjoyable.

Ordered a takeaway from Just Eat. Onion Bahji missing, mixed grill was cold, rubbery and tasted awe full (clearly past its best). To top it off, I found wire in my Lamb Dansak. Reported to Just Eat, who took nearly a week to respond to be told there was nothing they could do. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE - exceptionally poor food hygiene standards! Will report to EHO.

Delivery came on time and the food tasted amazing I will be ordering again

Delivery driver was so rude .Could the restaurant owner came to deliver this food .Misbehaving with me .Made me wait for food then when i came was being so rude that he got so many order to deliver this and that.Why he take so many order at the same time as i paid for my delivery. Ordered takeout from here on a recommendation. The popadoms were fresh but that was about as good as it got I’m afraid. In particular, the curry’s were awful.Tasteless and just swimming in oil! Most of it went straight in the bin. I will not be ordering from here again.

Genuinely one of the best takeaway curries we’ve had in a while. Hot and tasty food delivered on time with a smile. We’ll definitely be ordering again 👍🏼

Nope don't do it! The reviews that say the service is appalling and rude staff are all true. They also add charges to your bill without telling you the item is chargeable . We had poppadoms and they brought them out to us with dips. We assumed the dips came with the poppadoms as complementary seeing as we didn't order them. When the bill came we saw we were charged £2.50 for the dips. The waiter never mentioned they were a chargeable item in addition to the poppadoms as we wouldnt have bothered with them. Other restaurants give you the dips for free when ordering poppadoms. The dips were also very bland and tasteless. The food is mediocre too . A vile sneaky underhand way to charge customers extra for items they didn't ask for and other places do for free. The place was completely dead and had just 1 other customer aside from us , now I understand why..... I would never go back.

This is my first time here, my experience was not so impress, food wise and hospitality experience from the staff was not so impressive. Price and portion of it is good. Personally I won’t recommend it, the way staffs appearance and the way deal is not so acceptable. I won’t try it again and I won’t recommend it.

The food was close to average. Owner was very rude on the other hand the staff was very helpful and kind. Not a good experience would definitely not recommend it.

Nice but was told 45mins -1hr for delivery and it took just under 2hrs. Called a few times and the driver was on his way each time. I'm an 8min drive away...

I’ve just moved into the area and was concerned I might not get a nice curry like I’m used to but the Delhi lounge has just delivered an absolute delight Reshmi kebab starter,lamb katta masala main side of chana masala,pilau rice and a Nan delivered for £13.95 which is outstanding value especially when the food is this good Can’t wait to eat in Highly recommended

I ordered at 6.30 and at 8.30 still no sign and restaurant put the phone off the hook so can't get through. Will never use again. What a disgrace on new years eve

Very highly recommend the Delhi Lounge. The food is always fresh and incredibly tasty. Have had takeaway deliveries all through the two lockdowns and the delivery drivers are so polite and friendly. The service and food could not be better. Kevin and Jackie

Good food for Decent money with fabulous biriami,

We had our first Takeaway one week and we thought it was very nice so the next week we went into the Restaurant and had a meal and that was even better . The staff are very nice and looked after us very well .

Six of us arrived for dinner that we booked three days previous. Only one person working in the restaurant who was unaware of our booking. No Covid measures in place, no hand sanitiser available in the restaurant or the toilets, multiple people collecting orders with no social distance in place, no PPE worn by the member of staff, no disposable menus, standard menus supplied. Only five bottles of Cobra available, after that no beer in stock! Mixed vegetable Tikka Masala consisted of only half a potato! Awful!

Highly recommend the Delhi Lounge to either eat in or takeaway. The food is always fresh and tasty and the staff are always so friendly giving it that more personal and relaxed feel. The staff are happy to cook anything that's not on the menu. They do an outstanding chicken tikka achari! Fantastic service all round!

Had a meal that didn’t overwhelm or disappoint. Some nice flavours in the dishes I had Garlic mushroom starter followed by chefs special chicken curry , wife had butterfly King prawn starter which initially was over cooked but swapped for a lovely dish hassle free Tandoori Prawn was tasty but only appeared to have 3 King prawns so wives experience different to mine

Lovely authentic food, tried a chicken dish that I'd never seen on any Indian menu. Superb. Atmosphere & decor was brilliant. The hospitality was fantastic & all staff very accommodating. When they didn't have any house champagne they reduced the price of their Möet for us. Amazing. Thank you ...we will be back.

I ordered a takeaway meal, which arrived in good time. However upon opening the order i had items missing and one dish prepared not how it is described on the menu (contained cheese) the person it was for is lactose intolerant. I called up to let them know, and was basically called a liar & that I hadn’t ordered the missing dish he then said they had not charged for it (they had). it was the first thing I ordered. They offered to remake the wrongly prepared dish, which was going to take an additional 30minutes. They were unwilling to make any concessions for inconvenience. Because of the poor customer experience i said i no longer wanted to give them my custom, and requested they collect their food (untouched) and refund my money. They refused and were very rude. I ended up going to the restaurant and having a stand up row for 30 minutes before I got my money back.. I wasn’t the first time they’d got my order wrong. I will never use their service again.

We popped in for a takeaway and decided to dine in instead. The food was de with plenty of fresh flavours. The service was outstanding. We will be back

Stopped off here with my family for an evening meal and I must say we were all delighted at how delicious the food was. Really nice atmosphere and the service was great. Really attentive and up for a bit of craic. Great value for money too. Would highly recommend his restaurant.

Went to the Delhi Lounge last night for a quick Indian with my partner and a friend. The restaurant had been refurbished recently and looked absolutely lovely, some really nice touches. The service was really good, our waiter Jay really looked after us and nothing was to much bother. My partner tried a new dish and he was so glad he did as it was lovely and I had my usual which honestly was the best I’d had locally in a long time and we are frequent to eat out. Overall it was really reasonable as they offer dine in qourmet night Sun to Thursday which was superb value for money and we will definitely be returning soon.

Lovely place to eat, recently re decorated so lovely ambience. We had the banquet menu, starters main side rice and naan and it was absolutely delicious with a pint and a bottle of wine it was only £44. Excellent value for good quality food. Also the service is really good.

1st time users and wont be back. 35 minutes late, naan had to be microwaved because they were cold, chippatti was hard where it was cold and the currys were very average.

This is a small but wonderful restaurant, the service is excellent, food arrived hot and very tasty, it's a very family orientated place. I would recommend this restaurant all day long they look after you and are very attentive. Well worth giving it a try .

We visited as a family get together and decided to go to the Delih Lounge, on entry to the resteraunt it was almost empty and only noticed 1 waiter who was by himself throughout the whole evening, once the food had been ordered we waited over 1 hour until it got served, food tasted basic but plentiful, ambience was good though, would i recommend... no, would i return.. doubt it.

Mi madre y yo fuimos el sábado por la noche, ya que quería tratar a ella. Cuando llegamos nos recibió enseguida y nos llevaron a nuestra mesa, nos dieron los menús y no eran presionados para ordenar. De hecho, teníamos que coger el ojo del camarero que estaba esperando pacientemente en el bar. Pedimos una botella de vino, y fue guardado en un refrigerador pequeño. El restaurante sólo tiene 8 mesas y un pequeño bar, es muy bonito y acogedor, y mi madre me encantó. Nos dieron una mesa que estaba en un stand, así que tenía un poco más de privacidad que pensamos. Una vez que pedimos nuestra comida, y nos sirvieron un poco de bandeja poppadoms chapuzón Después de un tiempo que no era ningún problema para pedir otra botella de vino o de otra bandeja o poppadoms realmente cuidó de nosotros. El personal mantiene el registro en nosotros y charlando con nosotros, lo cual fue agradable, una vez la comida venía parecía y olía increíble, que no podíamos esperar para comer. Era tan sabroso que no podía creer, el pollo Korma era la más increíble korma que jamás he tenido. De nuevo los camareros nos registramos en nosotros para asegurarse de que todo estaba bien, al final ya que no podíamos comer todo lo que no era ningún problema para ellos a la caja y dejaron llevar a casa. No eran prisa para deshacerse de nosotros, ya sea como algunos restaurantes pueden hacer, nos sentimos tan bienvenidos. Mi madre y yo por un tiempo mientras sábado terminamos nuestro vino y de nuevo los camareros estaban conversando con nosotros e incluso tomó una foto de nosotros. Fue una agradable velada, con magnífica comida, buen vino, personal profesional y muy atento y un ambiente encantador. Recomiendo encarecidamente este restaurante y sin duda volveremos, ya que realmente disfrutamos. Gracias a todo el personal que nos hizo sentir bienvenidos y hizo una noche memorable

Food was Ok. All food was lovely and hot and excellent value for money but everything seemed like it was missing something to make it amazing instead of just OK.

He estado en el salón de Delhi sobre 5 veces - la primera vez para mi cumpleaños, fue fantástica; la segunda vez, fue buena, la comida parece compensar la escasez de personal; la tercera y cuarta vez también estaban bien y el presupuesto era más o menos la de sam, pero anoche me fui con mis dos hijas y dos nietos, y encontré que el 'banquete' ha aumentado en 2 libras. 00, y donde el poppadums originalmente fueron incluidas en el banquete, nos enteramos al final de la tarde que estaban ahora pagamos por separado. Aunque mi hija y yo éramos los únicos dos de los cinco de nosotros tener un agua tónica, la factura subió a 60 libras! ! Casi el doble de lo que solíamos pagar, la comida no era como mucho. . porque tengo un Biriyani, por consiguiente el plato de verdura está incluido, esta vez no fue sustituido por otra cosa. Porque la comida es buena, sólo ve ahora cuando se trata de una ocasión especial, mientras que antes, me habría ido más regularmente.

My daughters took me there for the first time for my birthday and the friendliness of the staff was astonishing. They offered to take photos for us, so everyone could be included, the presentation was excellent, the taste was not watered down for the westernised palate, yet it was not too hot. My grandchildren were with me, and also enjoyed the food. I have since been again, to make sure it wasn't a flook, and even though it was a Tuesday with one staff member serving everyone (it wasn't full, maybe 20 people), he remained calm, unflustered and very pleasant and no-one was kept waiting to a point where they might feel restless. An added bonus is that all the staff are very easy on the eye!! This restaurant is definitely on my monthly visit list.

Se ofrecieron a tomar fotos para nosotros, así que todo el mundo podía ser incluido, la presentación era excelente, el sabor no estaba rebajado para el paladar occidentalizados, pero no estaba demasiado caliente. Mis nietos estaban conmigo, y también disfrutamos de la comida. He estado un par de veces, para asegurarse de que no era un flook, y no fue. Visité este martes, y había un miembro del personal que sirve a todo el mundo (no estaba lleno, quizás 20 personas), permaneció tranquilo, profesional y muy agradable, y unflustered nadie quede esperando a un punto donde se puede sentir inquieto. Una ventaja es que todo el personal es muy fácil en el ojo! ! Este restaurante es, sin duda, en mi lista de visitas mensuales.

Great food and comfortable surroundings, friendly service and excellent value for money. The side dishes were full of flavour and the chicken tikka cooked to perfection. Definitely recommended.

Eaten in here and had takeaway so many times.really nice guys very helpful very polite and getting busier by the day.they do a dine in/takeaway set menu for £10.95 huge menu to choose from,I recommend the eggplant starter, best Indian starter I've ever had and I'm a real Curry addict!!!! Try it out,you don't know what your missing.

Great food, delivery time quite good. A product was missing but they redelivered it and gave us a bottle of Coke for their mistake. Great customer service and with that great tasty food = we will definitely will be ordering again!

Whenever I get a night off and fancy an Indian this is the place to go haven't made it in, in awhile as just wanted some chill time at home however been ordering as a take away and no matter what the food is always great. Staff are great always remember us wouldn't have a bad word to say

visited this restaurant for the first time last week what a surprise staff very helpful food superb having gone to the dildar for 30 years gave it a try absolutely wonderful will take a lot to return to the dildar again please please try it you wont be disappointed a great find

We visited the restaurant quite early so it was quiet, the food was ok can't really complain. The restaurant decor is nice.Unfortunately the service wasn't great, the manager didn't seem happy and was very to the point, we felt uncomfortable. The one thing we didn't like there was staff or friends coming in and just sitting there talking to the manager across the bar quite loudly and swearing, they wasn't ordering food just come for a chat but he didn't really care we were there, we had to get his attention for the bill or to get a drink. We won't go back but at least we enjoyed the food.

From Sun-Thu in house they do the banquet menu which is excellent value. They also deliver this all through the week. The food is usually pretty good but occasionally they do get things wrong. The staff have generally been very approachable and friendly. Drinks choice is limited but overall you will usually get a decent curry here. There are other curry houses nearby but presently this is our preferred choice.

My husband and I always go here the food is excellent and really good value for money, its a shame that more people in Sundon park go to the other two Curry houses but we prefere this.Thanks again for great food !!!

Ok so we waited quite a while for our food because it seemed they were short on staff front of house and it was busy due to the occasion, but apart from that the food was delicious. So tasty, gorgeous flavours. One of the waiters could not apologise enough for the delay with our food, he was so polite, he kept calm and even gave me (and my fiancé ) a couple of roses to take away with us. "All good things come to those who wait" We will definitely be coming back here. The food is lush and the customer service is very welcoming.

I went to The Dehli Lounge last night and had an outstanding meal! The portions are very generous and the food is very flavored. From the outside the indian looks very small and possibly would look like a take away shop however the inside of the restaurant is very well presented, clean and comfortable. The menu has a wide variety of options. TThe service/customer service is spot on. I would highly recommend anyone to come to the Delhi Lounge and you will be forever returning.
