Food was nice but it was very busy with Christmas parties, and had incredibly slow service.

Absolutely shocking 2 hours been ordered and can't get through on the phone. This place needs closing down

Pleasant Sunday afternoon spent at the restaurant with family. Good food supported by efficient and polite service.

Very disappointed, ordered food tonight, I know it's new years eve but have been waiting 2 hours so far and been trying to telephone but no one is picking up, it's a regular restaurant for me and I am very angry, will not be using them again! Very rude not to even answer the phone!!

Was driving past stopped at indian ocean what a service from rumez, foyzu l and jay never experienced such a wonderful service and such great food!! i am fooodie and i can confirm indian ocean is pure class!!! will be back again

I am very sorry to say that after years of being a customer at this local restaurant we went for the very last time yesterday. We will not be going back. Table booked for 6pm and when we turned up (on time!) the table wasn't ready for us. We had to sit and wait in the corner until they acknowledged us. At the very least we should have been offered either a drink or some nibbles etc while we waited. That did not bode well and should have been our warning sign! Then it just got worse tbh. Ordered drinks that didn't come until gone 7pm (yes an hour later!). We chased them a few times and also asked them what was going on with the service as it was really not good but they just seemed to laugh it off and weren't concerned. The service was horrendous. The starters took an absolute eternity to arrive also and then the mains never even arrived .....! 8.15pm we had had enough. We had given the staff plenty of opportunities to resolve the issue (which when we did speak to them as I mentioned they didn't seem to think the wait was a problem but sitting in there for over 2 hours without our food says otherwise....!). There was 1 large table which seemed to be taking all their priority and they were neglecting everyone else. However there were empty tables and so it was nowhere near full capacity. Some staff were standing around not doing much at all and so there really are no excuses. We gave them plenty of chances to resolve before we had had enough. 3 tables ended up walking out due to the terrible service. One table had a child that was crying their eyes out due to being so hungry, poor thing. Just awful. We had a bad experience here just after COVID too and this is the icing on the cake and we will not be back. You have lost a loyal customer. Dreadful and slow service. Not good enough.

The owner of this restaurant should be ashamed. Three tables walked due to lack of food. Some people had been sitting there waiting for the food for over 2 hours. No apology from any staff at all or any timescale for the food. The staff just ignored you and when they did answer all you got was we are busy. I have been going to this restaurant for a long time. Never again. So disappointed with their attitude and customer service. One more thing they were doing the takeaways quick enough just didn't care about the customers that were sitting in the restaurant.

Collected a takeaway. Ample portions of everything I ordered. Very tasty and great value for money compared with some other curry houses. When I entered the restaurant was almost half full which is a good indicator on a Sunday night. Definitely would recommend and will use as my go to for an Indian.

Nice food but needs an improvement on the chana masala. Parata is too oily, my hands were covered in oil. Be careful OK.

Waited hours for our food they keep saying we are busy but the restaurant nearly empty taking home delivery orders before the people that made a effort to visit the restaurant and dress nice for it not good for business I would not come here again everybody was complaining and wanted to leave

We Arrived at 4 and it was a little busy but out food come out after 6,,we wasn't happy all in all we left about 640,also they tried to charge us extra on the bill when we confronted them they had a bad attitude will never go bk there again

Delivery was over two hours and il still waiting. Won’t order from here again.

So, we went to this restaurant for the first time and it was pretty good. The waiter was quick to come over and take our order, and he even offered us some poppadoms. The condiments they gave us were really fresh and generous. The food was tasty overall, but the lamb was a bit tough. The chicken curry and grill were great though. I was a little disappointed with the shish kebabs because they were smaller than I'm used to. But overall, it's a good restaurant with good service and good food. You should definitely try it out.

We’ve come here numerous times and we have never ever had a negative experience! The staff have always been exceptional, pleasant and the service has been spot on every time. Food is always served piping hot, fresh and delicious. The value for food is perfect!

Very disappointed with my most recent experience. Been going to this restaurant for years & introduced countless people to it & recommended it as food is usually great. However last night was extremely disappointed & embarrassed. Had a friend visiting from out of town & raved about my favourite Indian place to her. Ordered around 7pm & an hour for delivery is quite normal & acceptable on a Saturday night. Sadly it took 1 hour 40 mins to arrive & was not up to the usual standard & we only ordered food for two people. I called after 1 hr & 15 mins & was told it was already on its way but still took a further 25 mins to arrive. Food was not very hot. Naan was not what we ordered no cheese or garlic just plain & completely burnt on the bottom. Hardly any lamb in the passanda & l was completely embarrassed since I'd raved about it to my friend. Usually the food is excellent & the delivery much quicker. Very disappointed. Maybe because of Ramadan things got delayed but they should have warned us as then we could have decided whether to order or not.

We enjoyed our meal at the Indian Ocean. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food was presented in cute mini karai style dishes and tasted really good. The restaurant was spacious, well maintained and clean. The restroom was spotless. Convenient parking spaces adjacent to the restaurant. Would recommend

I had high expectations for this place given the reviews and other recommendations. Food was lukewarm on arrival - it’s a good job I heated our plates otherwise would have been cold. The naan bread was stone cold and stale, onion bhaji I’d say was very overcooked - quite hard to eat. Chicken also very dry. Maybe just having an “off” night or super busy. But I expected better. I’d probably order again but I will leave a while before doing so.

Our Curry Tour continues with the The Indian Ocean in Sundon Park, Luton. This is one of 3 Indian restaurants in very close proximity - they are literally yards apart! From the outside, the venue looks really impressive and modern, which is echoed inside too. We visited the restaurant on a Saturday night and was expecting it to be busy, but it was surprisingly fairly quiet inside with very few tables occupied. We ordered poppadums whilst looking through the menu. The list of dishes is impressive and not too expensive in comparison to other restaurants we have visited as part of the Curry Tour. The poppadums arrived fairly quickly and were crisp and fresh, with the pickle tray being particularly worthy of mention with selection of 6 or so different accompaniments. These were really good! Orders were given and we waited. We drank our drinks and waited some more…. …and after 45 mins of waiting, we collared a passing waiter to ask how long the food would be. Soon after, the plates were put on the table and a trolley with main courses and rice arrived. Unfortunately, the cling film had been left covering one of the rice sides, so I can only presume it had been cooked earlier and reheated in a microwave? Not a great impression and it was not the greatest rice either. The main courses were actually good… …but we had to wait (again!) for naan breads to turn up. We were well stuck into our main courses when they finally arrived. Due to the length of time we had to wait for food, in a quiet restaurant, it spoilt the whole experience for us. Waiting the best part of an hour from ordering for a main to arrive is pretty unacceptable. I would dread to think how long we would have to wait if the restaurant was packed! In summary, the food is good and fairly well priced, but standards (microwaved rice?) should be better. Service time is the big let down and it has certainly made us decide not to return. We wanted the Indian Ocean for my mum’s wake and Fazil agreed to provide a buffet for us. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It gave us time to catch up with family and friends in a warm and inviting setting.

I was very disappointed, we are regular customers, tonight our onion bargi was burnt, very hard and unedible (usually amazing) our naan breads had coriander all over, asked for no coriander on anything. Shame as has put me off now

Disappointed this time. Ordered the food at 7pm. It turned up at 8.30pm. Food was cold. Asked for biryani to be spicy, but this was very mild. Our experience was better eating in the restaurant. Will not order a delivery again., but eat in the restaurant instead.

Absolutely delicious, I have been looking for an Indian Restaurant that I would be happy to return to and I’ve just found it! Chef made my curry how I requested it! Best selection of dips I have ever had!! Lovely staff who are very happy to accommodate special requests. Thank you, it was great!

My partner and I came a few weeks ago. Definitely not the best Indian. They just didn't bother with us as we weren't drinking alcohol so we were left unattended. Would go back. Sorry no.
