The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

first time ordering from Gandhi, all the dishes were really tasty and arrived piping hot, will order again!

Booked a table prior for 2 people at 7.30pm on Friday. Arrived on time to find a large group of dine in and takeaway customers looking fed up. Waited til 7.55pm and then walked out- one party of 3 ushered through who arrived after us and also booked at 7.30pm (they confided in us). No explanation given, no potential time for being seated given, no drink offered while waiting not even water! It was like waiting at Heathrow for a delayed flight on a budget airline. In addition to this 80% of customers coming in started coughing violently while waiting in the foyer/waiting area including my daughter- the air quality was drying everyone’s throat. Very disappointing experience and it could have been rectified but there was no communication and absolutely no service.

in future please don't put on my phone that my food has been delivered only to have it sent an 1 hour and 45 minutes later with me calling yourselves you 6 or 7 times to find out where it is. if I could give no stars I would.

I have had takeaways from here a few times and rhey have generally been very good. However, yesterday I ordered a curry which was tasty but sparse on the lamb component and the two boxes of rice were overcooked, saturated and almost mashed. Had to throw them away.. Very disappointed.

first time ordering from here & the food was really tasty. Really good portions, the food was hot plus was delived on time. i got a chicken korma & chicken madras. will order again thank you 👏

Just got a delivery it was cold and vile. Waited 1 hour 30 mins for the most disappointing Indian I've ever had!! Rubbish!!!!

We got a takeaway from here while we were staying at the woodland lake lodges. Service was excellent and the food was beautiful. Thank you.

One word to say awful the worst curry house I’ve ever been to. We had ants in our food they ordered the wrong food it’s very expensive and the owner is very rude. Save your money and you will find better.

I am sitting here still waiting here after 1hr 20mins for my starter! They knew we were coming, they knew there were 20 of us but still we are waiting and we are starving. They have fed us popadoms and yoghurt dip thats all! We will not be coming back, Qmin is 100x better

Great tasting foods. Shame the mint sauce and my kebab was neon green far too much food colour , was off putting
