Mumbai Square Restaurant in Spelthorne

Had an excellent take away tonight form Mumbai square first time I've used them . Looking forward to eat in the restaurant. Really good curry ,and good value

Book a table of 8 for the cruiser section of Desborough sailing club. Unbeknown to me it was gourmet meal night. Good price and curry, you have some more people that who have not been before but said they will come back. DSC is down Ferry lane main entrance.

Food really tasty - no complaints - but, 3 items missing and one item not even ours! Shame because the food was great

Mostly lovely as usual. However, there was a small piece of plastic in the peshwari naan. I have taken a photo in case they read these reviews. Also, we ordered 4 mint sauce- as a side with bhajis, lamb tikka, and chicken tikka, and also an extra portion we paid for. There were only 3 delivered despite a specific comment about ensuring all were included (as it has happened several times before).

I visited Mumbai-Square on a Sunday evening, table for 1 as I was staying in the area for a work training course. I always eat Indian / Bangladesh cuisine whenever I'm away. On arrival, the waiter who greeted me ( the chap who's making the most of his hair ) wasn't very welcoming at all, he pointed to my table next to the door and I had to move the table away from the wall and sit myself down. The food was very basic, my chicken tikka vindaloo was disappointing although I must say my king prawn puree starter was very nice, the best thing I ate on my visit to Mumbai- Square. Overall I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, would I go back? No I wouldn't. There's better indian restaurants in the area.

A bit disappointed with today's meal as my son's vindaloo had squashed out over everything in the delivery bag, so my son didn't have much juice left in his vindaloo, also the meal was cold!!

We moved over from another local Indian over a year ago as one of our neighbours recommended here…well, we haven’t looked back since! The food is always very very good, and super tasty 😋 AND great value too! Place is quite basic, nothing fancy but good service inside the restaurant and fast delivery on takeaways too! always 10/10! Great little find in Shepperton 😊

As usual, the flavour of the food was excellent - but the last couple of times we’ve ordered a couple of the items were cold. Disappointing

Lovely food as usual. Yummy Lamb biryani, amazing tandoori chicken.. always come with complimentary pappodoms and the extras, which are amazing. Highly recommend. 👍

Waited an hour for food, whilst serving people next to us who came in 15 minutes after us. No apology. We left in disgust without eating. Shocking. Totally arrogant. Avoid

Awful just awful. Me my dad and my sister walked in at 6:30 ordered within ten minutes by 7:45 are food hadn’t come we paid for our drinks and walked out. The staff didn’t even apologise. They were very rude stuck up an arrogant. The table next to us came in about 10 minutes after us and their food came before genuinely felt like someone was putting a prank on us. Please don’t go here I know it’s quite cheap, but it’s for a reason.

Delivery food is best received hot which ours was not. I think this is due to no thermal bags being supplied.

Use to be the best Indian restaurant around, then it became very hit and miss, now it’s just awful.

The ‘banquet special’ on a Wednesday for £15 is an absolute bargain .. a stater , a main , a side dish and rice ..excellent and all for £15. On the flip side we have had several takeaways that have been wrong with items missing and on occasion not at all what we ordered on each of these occasions causing us a lot of grief to put right .. disappointedly although apologies offered never even an offer of a free drink on the house by way of apologies ..so that’s why we couldn’t give it 5 stars

We waited near 90 minutes for a takeaway advertised at 45, and on arrival the food was stone cold. We also live within a mile of the restaurant. The food was only delivered after we called to chase up our missing order, and I assume someone jumped in a car to deliver with the staff having realised the order had been forgotten having been prepped. I just called the restaurant to report this and the response was just “sorry, we are busy”. When I contested that level of service they offered to return, collect the order and rebook it for us. We are more than capable of reheating ourselves at home. Do not get a takeaway. The food is good in the restaurant.

Always terrific food from the Mumbai Square

Been here a few times now, I always get the chicken madras which is lovely and tender, not too spicy. The waiting time is a little long and wanted to mention the drinks, ask for them to be from a glass bottle because otherwise it seems like they pore from a plastic one as its flat😔 but food is lovely!

We ate here last night as the Ivory Tusk has closed sadly. The food was really good, not oily, fresh, tasty and hot. However, the service was very slow particularly bringing drinks. We had to ask a couple of times each time and it appeared that the order hadn't been forgotten just not done. The waiter also cleared our table including the tablecloth after the main course without checking if any of our party wanted dessert or coffee which we did. It is such a shame as we probably won't go back back as the service was so poor.

Good food as always. However, food was late. I had to call and I was promised that the food will be delivered in 5 minutes, which turned out to be more like 15 minutes in the end. Would be great for the restaurant to try and send the food out earlier if they anticipate the delivery to take place around rush hour time. Thank you.

Just one advice for everyone NEVER order from here otherwise you’ll get wrong food under wrong name. On top of that Owner will tell you this is what we do and just take it

I have been ordering from these guys for at least 9 years with the occasional hiccup here and there. We went here Wednesday for dinner with my family and the drink service was very very slow, having to keep asking for the drinks that were missed, they ran out of Cobra on both draught and bottles. The real issue though was the uncooked Naan bread! They took this off the bill but no apology and no replacement!

Very reasonable price with good portion size, arrived warm and was delicious- can't ask for much else.

Ordered 4 poppadoms and there were 2 normal size and a small one. Of three salads there was one. Meat was dry. Disappointed.

fantastic salmon tikka masala, just incredible! enough for 2 persons I'd say. naan bread delicious and pilau rice lovely and fragrant. delivery driver was lovely which just made it an overall great service. Oh and the food was piping hot so amazing! Early delivery a bonus. thank you.

30 mins late with a pre order of a hour and a halfs notice. was supposed to be delevered at half 7 and turnt up at 8. there phone lines off the hook so you cant get through. also said on the app it had been delevered on time.

One of the best Indian restaurants I have taken away from. The food is always consistently good…the chefs do an amazing job with their flavours and we have never had a bad experience. Not eaten in the restaurant before, just take away, but I am sure it is of the same quality.

Ordered food at 7.37 food arrived at 8.57 it was cold and missing part of the order. delivered by there own driver no sorry we are late nothing just couldn’t get away fast enough didn’t even let me check the order! I rang them he said I can send out the missing item WHAT and wait another hour and a half for more cold food, he then said he will have a word with the driver what good is that, and to cap it all the garlic mushrooms we’re not only cold but just about covered the bottom of the tin foil

Mumbai Square is always amazing

The only reason I’m not giving 5 star is because I didn’t think much of the mixed salad but the lamb saaag and the rice was amazing thank you I’m happy with my just eat order today was cooked well and when I opened the steam came out was very fresh I recommend the sag lamb and two rice. Very nice

One of the worst Bangladeshi restaurants trying to sell themselves as Indian restaurant. The first time ever I tasted a 'sweet' chicken tikka masala which was mentioned as one of the specialities. The borders of the naan were an uncooked plump of dough that I could not do anything about but to throw away. This is one of the worst Bangladeshi/Pakistani run restaurant trying to sell themselves as Indian restaurant.

I really enjoyed my meal. It was prepared within a reasonable time and the staff are pleasant.

Food was genuinely nice and good value. Delivery was terribly late, tried to ring the restaurant repeatedly but engaged. Had a text from the restaurant when i chased further with a new time given, was still late even with the new delayed time. Shame really as i won't order again despite the quality of food as delivery was so poor. Delivery driver seemed embarrassed by the situation, explaining that the previous delivery he made was 50 minutes late and that there are "really no excuses" for the situation.

The food was cold when it arrived, it had to be heated up in the microwave. The onions and peppers in the chiken balti were under cooked. We have been using this takeaway for a while, the last 2 meals have not been good, we will be looking for somewhere else.

My food is still not here and I can’t get through to the restaurant?

Went to this Resturant a few weeks ago with family. Service was fine. Ordered a coke, it tasted flat and wasn't a coke cola, was a cheap brand. Was given a paper photocopied menu which seemed a bit odd. Never been here before so ask the waiter if the Mumbai Special was any good. Was told its one of their most popular dishes. Well, I thought can't go wrong here then. Food came out, the Mumbai special looked a right mess. It was absoletely taste less, chicken was hard as well. Admitally the rest of the family were happy with their food. I left half of mine, but a family member said they would take it for lunch tomorrow. Crack on, I definitely didn't want it. Following day got a message agreeing it was awful. Portions were large and cheap. From my point of view the ingredients used were just that, cheap. I will not be returning.

Hi. I am a regular customer of your restaurant specially ordering specific items every time. Not sure if your cook changed but the Paneer Shashlik that I ordered today was way too oily. May be for next time this needs to be taken care of. Rest food was good as always!

Mumbai Square is our go-to Indian restaurant - they have a great selection of vegetarian curries we can't find anywhere else, and the food is always tasty.

Expensive and felt intimidating sorry but great food just annoyed as I think they over charged me also wanted to eat in but they put it in a bag and sent me and my partner on our way for no reason.

Ordered take takeaway received our food order had curry sauce and starter sauces missing and we were told they would bring it out to us - never turned up and not helpful when called to complain.
