I’d probably say that on the day of our visit the Harrow Inn was good as opposed to very good. But it’s a great looking pub, management we’re friendly and they had a gluten free beer (just one bottle unfortunately). The lunches my friends had looked fine and I had the chicken curry, which was nice if a little uninspiring on the plate.

Popped in on a Sat lunchtime just to watch the first game of the footy season with my 11 year old… hardly anyone on there. One really small TV with 5/6 locals huddled around and the different in another room didn’t have the football on. So we found a small space to see the football on the small tv, which meant my boy was sat close to the bar. Then we get told by someone I can only assume was the landlord “no kids can be sat at the bar”. I told him he wasn’t sat at the bar, the bar was behind him and he was watching the football. The bloke was being pedantic for the sake of it. I moved the chair 10cm and apparently that was ok. So rude. I won’t be returning to this pub.

Met up with friends as we were nearby. Service was excellent with a very friendly and knowledgeable lady serving us. Persuaded to try vegetable samosas/lamb as a starter - delicious. Followed by curry, which was equally delicious. The sausage and mash/chicken burger and chips was equally tasty and generous, as was the sticky toffee pud. Very happy to recommend this place, which we also discovered that some of the building dates from the 1200s. Fyi the car park is on the other side of the road, opposite the Harrow Inn, which fooled our group on arrival.

It was the only pub in walking distance of our B&B so we had supper there. Looked proper Olde World from the outside. It was pretty much the same inside when it came to the food. We both had a curry. It was just about ok. If anything it seemed like it was pre-cooked, pre-frozen then thawed and finished off in the microwave. Staff were ok, quite attentive without being obsequious. The entrance to the pub would be a challenge for those with mobility disabilities. Awkward steps, with quite a longer than normal drop on the steps.

Popped in to this lovely looking thatched village pub in Charlton Village. The outside was adorned with beautiful hanging baskets and flowers. The outside seating area was very busy as was the inside, which has low beams and is very quaint, so gave a very nice atmosphere. We sat in the restaurant area which was very pleasant. The service was quick, friendly and efficient. We ordered vegetable samosas and traditional chicken curry (medium) with pilau rice and plain Nan bread. The food was piping hot and extremely tasty. The quality of the Nan bread was amazing, very authentic like it was out of a authentic curry house, but better. We got so much chicken as well as sauce, just enough to dip my Nan bread in. Good value for money and I will definitely be back, soon.

Been here once before and thought it was a lovely place with a good atmosphere. However, I was disappointed by very poor (passive aggressive) customer service when making an enquiry the other day: I enquired about extending hours for a crew night the other day (I was organising a wrap event for my crew at Shepperton on behalf of the Production). While I noted that 'I will be calling around other places' and 'will get back to you if anything' the person I spoke to took my enquiry as a given and called me back later in the evening angry that I hadn't arrived. I apologised for any misunderstanding and began to explain how I made no commitment, rather just enquired on a possibility and the circumstances of hour extension. The employee however, retaliated with a lot of attitude and sarcasm, scolding me for my lack of communication and interrupting my explanation with 'fine' 'and 'its alright' in a clearly passive aggressive manner. While I appreciate the venues willingness to extend hours, I had zero obligation to them at that point of initial enquiry: no agreement was made and so it is unfair for said employee to take out her anger on me for the way she misunderstood the situation (presumably making herself and other employees stay behind for extra hours for no reason). Safe to say I will not be trying to organise any further events or bookings here.

I love the curries at this place, there is a fresh taste to them that is unusual. I called this pub the day before I wanted to go, to book a table and asked if it was accessible for wheelchairs. The person I spoke to said yes, so I booked for Sunday lunch. When I turned up on Sunday with my 90 year old mother in her wheelchair, there was no way that we could get into the pub as there was a big step at the door. I asked if there was another way in was and told that there wasn’t but was offered help in lifting the my mother in, which I declined. I had to call four other restaurants in the area before I could find a table. Very disappointing.

The sunday roast menu included some non-roast options and across the range of starters and mains we chose, there was good variety and quality to avoid menu envy. Service was excellent, albeit the kitchen let front of house down as they didn’t seem to be able to serve up 8 covers for starters nor main at the same time so for each course someone was watching the rest eat. We had taken our own birthday cake and they kindly obliged with plates, allowed lit candles, and let us enjoy our celebration at our own pace. I would go again, maybe in a slightly smaller group.

Our good old local pub. It's lovely having a thatched roof, country style pub just down the road from us. It's especially great here in summer, as there's plenty of room out in the beer garden at the back.If you're looking for food, this pub is great. On my last visit, I had the vegetarian lasagne which comes with some nice bread and is well priced at £8.50. However, if you're a fan of curry, then this place will be right up your street. It's not often you expect a pub to be one of the best curry houses in town, but The Harrow is absolutely fantastic. If you want to make a night of it, there's an indoor restaurant area which is lovely too.The atmosphere can be a bit loud and rowdy at times, but you can usually find a quiet enough spot. My only other feedback would be that the drinks list could do with a bit of work, as there's nowhere near enough to choose from. More beer, some good wines and a bit more variety at the bar would definitely not go amiss!

The vegeatables came in a separate dish, they were nice and crunchy, not too over cooked. My food was quite bland, but nice, my hubbys lamb balti was nice we ordered it mild. We had apple pie for desert, it was nice. The other diners had left by about 8.30ishWe sat until after nine pm, the waitress started to clean up the tables, as the kitchen stops serving food by 9pm. Kim our waitress was lovely and the other young waitress was good too. They have a good menu choice of Indian and English food, the chef is Indian, so the Indian food will be authentic. The bar area was still busy with a lot of customers.Nice outside seating area, (if good weather), the inn is quite picturesque , I'm not sure if I'd visit again though, as I'm used to eating in bigger restaurants , which have more space. Were envied to a birthday party at this venue with 20 other people. To find that we eating in a tent at the back of the pub, this had little or no heating in. Are menu had been pre ordered I had ordered prawn cocktail followed by fillet steak both of witch were disappointing. It's a shame as we were looking forward to the evening, I will not be going back to try this pud again

Lovely cosy atmosphere of an old world pub. Mainly Indian food but do the traditional English as well. Food good reasonably priced.

We stopped here for a bite of lunch which was absolutely lovely. My boyfriend had the chicken curry which was on special and I had the chicken burger. The food and service was great. Such a lovely old fashioned pub with low ceilings and little doorways a bit like a hobbit house. Really cozy and welcoming. We will definitely come back.

Been here a few times now, I always get the chicken madras which is lovely and tender, not too spicy. The waiting time is a little long and wanted to mention the drinks, ask for them to be from a glass bottle because otherwise it seems like they pore from a plastic one as its flat😔 but food is lovely!

The food was very nice, but instead of the lamb chilli masala, another chicken dish was delivered
