Agra Tandoori in Harrow

Couple of my friends have said good things, but we had poor experience. The gentleman there was rude and the food was ok. Maybe give good service to everyone that walks in not just your regulars.

The Agra, what more can you say about this restaurant, outstanding food with all the flavour you could ever need. A fantastic Indian restaurant that hits all the right spots! Nothing beats it!

We had a really enjoyable evening out at the Agra. It’s a family friendly and family run restaurant with amazing food and fantastic service. The King prawn bhuna was exceptional and highly recommended. Drinks were also reasonably priced, a must visit!

This place has been a staple for years, I remember coming 30 years ago and not much has changed . It's reasonably priced and friendly. I would call this a traditional tandoori restaurant as opposed to a Indian lounge etc. I like it...

They clearly had some troublesome customers trying to ruin their evening and my food was still hot, fresh and tasty. Will be back for sure, great staff and food!

Exceptional. Nice buzzy atmosphere with great service. I was expecting the usual but was astounded at the prices and food. Starters were lamb tikka followed by King prawn korma. My fellow diners had prawn dishes as well and said theirs were equally delicious. What I do appreciate in restaurants are clean toilets with everything working, again exceptional, sparkling clean and modern. Well done to this crew, I'll be back!

Absolutely spot on. Been going here for almost 40 years. Never a bad meal ever. They are always happy to exchange a plain naan for a peshwari with my balti. Nothing is too much trouble. Try it, you will love it.

I'm a vegetarian. I don't even eat egg. I went to The Agra Tandoori and ordered Indian Vegetarian Cuisine. In one of the dishes we found out chicken pieces with bones. I left eating then and there and was left feeling so disgusted as any vegetarian would. These type of unethical ignorant behaviors make you loose trust on other good restaurants. Very unprofessional.

Was very disappointed with our meal at the Agra. Food was very average. Restaurant felt very old fashioned. The chicken in our main dishes was dry. The Nan breads were good though. Dessert was again very disappointing.

The Agra is decorated in a traditional Indian restaurant style and there are few frills, with the emphasis on take-away/deliveries, (as drivers coming and going were non-stop), but from a diner's viewpoint, service is always attentive and very friendly. What sets The Agra apart and secures its spot as 'our favourite', is the food, after all, that's why we go there. The menu is extensive, very extensive, but my wife and I always stick to 'our usual' and we've never been let down. Portion size is generous, food is always served piping hot and when it comes to pricing, their competitive edge is that they've retained modest pricing, when almost everyone else has increased theirs dramatically. For a no-frills authentic Indian dining experience, you'd be hard pushed to beat its quality and value and that's why we've remained loyal for twenty years and will continue to do so.

Very familiar and happy with the Agra takeaway service but decided to eat in tonight. Fabulous meal and importantly GREAT value - this is not a restaurant that has used covid as an excuse to increase its prices. Great value, great food and we will be back to eat in the restaurant soon. Thank you very much.

Never had a bad meal from here before but last night's delivery was inedible. The amount of oil in the food and all over the bag was disgusting, I can get food like that cheaper round the corner if I wanted bad food. I ordered a chicken tikka masala which is my usual order and the sauce was like water with sultanas in it -since when? Never known that in the 20 odd years I've been going here and ordering. Very disappointing and no option through uber to rectify the situation

I doubt if they have the authentic taste since name seems to be very asian however will not recommend at all. Their naan is sweet and can not be chewed, onion raita was not the raita at all. It was just dahi and onion pieces were cut on the top. Veg curry was smelly and oily. Please don't get fooled by the name and will not recommend it at all.

I went here today for dinner from 5pm with my carer to celebrate my first day at work what I did well . Total bill £38 for two including tip . I had lamb biryani what came with veg curry , also had a Keema naan with poppadoms , carer not want the poppadoms so I had , also got a Cobra beer , and water for the table . I enjoyed my food . Not been to an Indian restaurant for awhile so the experience, place , service , food was good . I liked the way that they brought a tray so meaning you can put your food on to keep it warm. I would say the value is good apart from £4.50 for a Cobra beer abit expensive but as a treat nice . I enjoyed my time even my carer enjoyed. Thank you Ken

What can i say, this was a best Indian restaurant i have ever seen! The waiter was super nice and helpful. The food was brought to us in about 20 minutes and it was delicious. And at the and we were presented with liquors that were on the house. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you want to try real Indian cuisine!

Always our 1st choice Eat-in or Take-away local Indian restuarant. Food is always tasty & the mince lamb samosa' are amazing. Staff are always so nice & the restuarant is often busy. Always a fairly quick delivery too, we just keep coming back.

We live 5 mins away from here and pass the restaurant on a daily basis however only visited for the first time yesterday. We were extremely impressed with both the food and service. We ordered lamb chops, chicken tikka, lamb biriyani and peshwari naan. All the food we ordered was delicious and I honestly have nothing negative to say about this restaurant. I can’t believe this gem had gone unnoticed. We will most definitely be back. Thanks to Monir for the great service!

So we came for a last minute meal. Food was good , portion sizes were shockingly small and the service was not the best! Coke and Diet Coke was flat. The people serving shouldn’t be in customer service due to being quite abrupt and awkward. End bill wasn’t terrible just probably won’t go back

I’ve been highly recommended here by so many people for so many years. I’ve never been a huge Indian food fan so wasn’t in a rush to go but I’m so pleased we did this evening. The food was fantastic and I wouldn’t honestly say it was probably one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had. It was a Saturday night and busy but the service was fantastic and the time food all came out in perfect time. We can’t wait to come back!

This place is always my go to when I’m in Harrow! The food is great, portions are fantastic and prices even better. Would highly recommend :)

Been going to this restaurant for years every week, sometimes twice a week. Throughout our whole meal a couple stood immediately at the side of our table, blocking the gangway and talking to the people on the table next to us. The waiters found struggled today serve us with this couple standing by our table the whole evening. The people seated at the table next to us were uncaring, rude and totally oblivious of the fact that they were totally spoiling our evening and meal. Management were made aware of the situation and did nothing to put a stop to this unacceptable behaviour, other than to offer us an ice cream in the house, which was a total insult. This restaurant has been excellent over the years. We just hope that new management does not ruin this hard earnt and reliable past reputation.

The best indian I've ever had. Top class service, the sizzlers are unbelievable, I loves a bit of Jalfrazi on a Saturday night. Maynul the man, outstanding customer service, well looked after, he even offered me a beer, had to reject it as i like to keep it halal. Presentation and atmosphere on point. 10/10

We ate in the restaurant on a Saturday night. The food was very tasty and not at all spicy. Service was friendly but slow because the kitchen was busy preparing food for deliveries. The price was very reasonable.

It's been a while since,I visited The Agra Tandoori and do my surprise, the premises is more brighter and very much modernised. The menu has changed for the better and quality of food is very tasty and presentation is has improved. Thanks to a Family run business for now 43 years. A place worth a visit and be sure to book in advance. They also do takeaway via Just eat,uber and Deliveroo. Best wishes to Mohammed (Owners son) and team. Definitely will be visiting soon.

The Agra tandoori is terrible , they serve 2 days old food which is not hygiene standards .Placed an order for a full family meal 1 days ago, when I received the food I could tell is was not freshly prepared, it was luke warm and oily, while eating realising the smell of the food not so fresh as it had gone off ,the potatoes and cauliflower tasted sour Called them up to inform them , this is when the manager confirms the food doesn’t stay more than 2 days , I asked for a full refund instead only got £10 in spite of serving the public with gone off food , I should have gotten an apology and my money back ( full refund) . Last night felt a bit unwell and I am % it’s from this spoilt food by #agratandoori, truly felt an unpleasant taste in my mouth .

I was sold food that was gone off when I called and explained to them I just fed my family and myself, they tried to reassure me by telling me they keep cooked food for no longer then two days 🤢🤮. The first person I spoke to told me they would give me a full refund and then I had some one call me to actually let me know they will not give me full refund just the £10 for the two dishes that were gone off. I have been a customer here for over ten years that’s definitely the last time I buy food here.

I ordered takeaway , found hair in it. Complained and they tried to convince me it was hair from a brush they use. It was a long curly strand of hair. They then said they could not refund me and that I had to go through deliveroo to complain, like the delivery had anything to do with good standards of hygiene. So pissed off. Will not be ordering from there again.

Delicious! I had a vegetarian thali which was tasty. Slightly too salty for me, would be even better if they used less. Quick pick up for Saturday evening. Love that take away mostly comes in aluminium/carboard boxes which you can recycle.

Not recommended.Hard chicken in biryani. Rice quality very poor. And who use coconut in butter chicken? Highly disappointed.

Delicious curry at a good price.

Lovely and amazing food, but disappointing customer service and delivery service. Order via Uber eats and was told 30 min, after an hour I called the restaurant to find out where my food is and the waiter said it was still in the restaurant. Had not left yet as it was a Saturday night. Not acceptable if it is Saturday night.

Terrible service. Ordered take away via Uber eats, as per the order delivered to us within 45 minutes. Waited patiently for an 1 hour, when we call to find out how much longer for the delivery, the staff at the restaurant said the food is on its way, let me find out where the driver is. We were put on hold, came back few minutes later, and said they are about to leave for delivery. On the Uber app is said it will be delivered with in 45 minutes. When asked, the reason for the delay, the staff said it’s is Saturday night and we are busy. He said sorry in a rude manner. Poor customer service and no etiquacy to talk. The food lacked flavours. The naan bread was sweet. Some of the cuties were salty. The biryani we ordered was over cooked and salty. We were really hungry and looking forward for the meal. Had ruined our evening as we had waited long enough for the food . I wish, I should have v]cancelled the order. Will not order from this restaurant again.

(Takeaway) Very much let down tonight. Mains were... plain, the opposite of what you expect of a good curry - but the tandoori lamp chops were ridiculous. A favourite of mine at most Indian restaurants, the priciest starter on the menu at Agra, I couldn't wait to tuck in, but I couldn't believe it when I opened up to reveal two teeny tiny pieces. Worse still, on closer inspection they were (in a fair assessment) >80% bone, with a mini bit bit of meat at the end of each. Honestly they were so pathetic, they've inspired this, my first review in about 10 years... I still can't believe Agra would give that to a customer whilst charging a price not that far off a main course. We have eaten here before, and it has been better, but the fact that Agra can take your money and then send out something so glaringly pathetic in return, its not worth risking our dinner from there any more

I hate putting on this bad review as this restaurant has been so good. However we had a delivery in early December which was truly awful. The chicken tikka was smoked and inedible, the lamb balti was too salty and flavourless and the papadoms went straight in the bin as they had been cooked in stale oil. I complained on their website but sadly didn't get any response until I complained again. They apologised and asked me to call. I waited until I wanted to take another chance, I was offered a small discount and trustingly ordered again. Although it was better the papadoms were once again awful having been cooked in smelly oil. This was their chance to redeem themselves but sadly we won't be going or ordering from them again. Its a shame that a local restaurant let's its regular clients down.

It's the beast India food in the area

Ordered a takeaway last night and wasn't impressed. The puri was more like a popadom and the main course which was supposed to be medium hot was very hot. Won't be ordering from there again

Pleasant welcome very busy, but tables spaced accordingly to government ideals,staff all masked , cutlery wrapped in paper napkins. Excellent choice on menu, prompt service, food served hot and all at once a fabulous evening

Really upset and disappointed . We have been going to this restaurant for years 2 to 3 times a week . This evening no one seemed to notice we were here. Take away and other tables seem to be more important. Took ages to take our order, then even longer to bring the food. When the food came we had 25 mins to eat it before 10pm as well as a sweet. No drinks offered on the house. Just could not care less about regular customers.

If I could give 10stars out of 5, I would. Absolutely amazing food and very friendly and helpful staff. Portions are very big, I didn't expect that so we slightly over-ordered 😂 Samosas were really good, full of flavour, Agra's Special was just amazing- still sizzling chunks and pieces of grilled meat, saag paneer just delicious and Prawn Madras just makes the dream come true 😉 They kindly packed the rest of the food in takeaway boxes so today will be round 2 😂 I am definitely going to be back. Thank you very much😊
