Always delicious good quality food

As you can see I wrote a review back in may giving 5* rating Well I got back late from a trip and me and my wife were quite hungry so we decided to order a curry I had a plain chicken madras and my wife had a veg curry couple of rice couple of sides which going by the menu it should have been about £33 quid when he gave me the price I had to call him back to double check he told me I had an old menu like he has done many times as they as over the years they have been sneakily adding 10/15 pence to items but this time it had gone up to nearly £40 quid my wife didn’t even have any meat in her curry and my chicken was pink in the middle I couldn’t believe it that has never happened before I was very disappointed.

The food is excellent as always .

The quantity is not sufficient and the prices are more. I have had food in Bangladeshi and Indian restaurants before, the taste was similar and the quantity provided was filling.

Probably one of the worse currys ive had tbh. The lamb was chewy and the sauce was like tap water mixed with spit. Oh I did get a quarter of a tomato though #winning. Wouldn’t order again from there sorry guys but must do way better.

I order from this Indian all the tune and normally it’s spot on. On this occasion it wasn’t great, the salad bag didn’t come with the onion bhajis, which it normally does. The pilau rice was hard and wasn’t fresh at all, and I tried a new dish called the Village special, the meat was very hard, there was hardly any meat in the dish and wasn’t much sauce at all. So for the first time it was a very disappointing dinner. Not happy!

Very tasty set meal for four. Portions generous for four hungry adults. Two dishes had only seven cubes of chicken in them not so easy to share between four. To be fair some chunks were very large and could be cut. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal good variety of flavours. Would have liked a little more heat but very tasty.

Wonderful takeaway. Hot, fresh, non-oily and lots of authentic flavour. Will be our new regular! Lots of variety on the menu and my son loves the chicken tikka noodles 😊

Delivery was bang on time. I’ve just eaten the best Bombay Aloo ever. The lamb was a tad tough but not enough for me to stop eating it. I look forward to many meals and sampling a lot from the menu.

Gone downhill fast. Shame as it use to be the best indian in borehamwood. Food given to someone else. Was told they would re cook as we didn't want our food handled and taken home and bought back. Only to realise when we got in thay the food wasn't hot so made us wait to be given the same order.

Excellent quality and we enjoyed our choice of meals very much. Importantly we have never had a meal from Saffron Authentic Cuisine which has been disappointing.

Delivery was fine but it came early at 5.50pm and we informed it would be coming some time between 6pm and 6.20pm.

Ordered 2 Tandoori mixed grill and they gave a naan bread this time but usual they don’t so ordered 2 so have 2 spare (which was £4 worth). 1 salad to share between 2 mixed grills (as apparently there’s 1 extra lemon slice and abit more lettuce do classes as a double). Apart from that the food was really nice.

my wife ordered Lamb tikka Korma,rice and nan bread i ordered Lamb Karhi rice and onion Salad to be delivered,food came very quickly my wife was violently sick all night think it could have been onions which caused as she is allergic to pieces of onion they had said it was liquified in the sauce and this is normally ok.....my Karhi was nothing like i have had before not the right sauce and the meat was like leather will not order from them again.

Plastic was found in nann bread. Just eat said I’m sorry u thought there was foreign objects in food!! I didn’t think..there was! How condescending!! Not happy with restaurant or just eats customer service.

I’ve ordered from here a lot and tonight was the first time I was disappointed with the taste of the curry - just very watery and not up to the usual standard. Everything else was spot on as usual so hopefully just a bad night.

This is not the first time my food has been 30 mins or so late from this restaurant. Unfortunately I cannot get through on the phone to them either so frustrating.

Food was due at 7:15 and was 40 mins late and still didn’t arrive and restaurant didn’t pick up the phone

Really tasty food. Not ordered from here for a while still just as good. Good range of Vege dishes. Especially loved the mince meat stuffed mushrooms

We were unfortunately left very disappointed with the quality of food from Saffron. The butter chicken was excessively oily and the lamb over cooked in the passanda. Haven’t been able to try others in the local area yet but certainly will be in the hope they are better.

The order came early, but not impressed with the food. Chicken Korma tasted only coconut. It's like they missed some sauce and the chef added more coconut milk. Was watery too. Not impressed. Worst Korma ever tasted, will give them another try. Rice, Naan and Salad where fresh.

My son and I live just outside Borehamwood but luckily they deliver to us as it is by far the best takeaway food we have used. My favourite is tandoori chicken and vegetable rice. The chicken is moist with a few onions and plenty of salad love the rice is good too. I have had other meals Biryani, Rogan Rosh , a lovely sweet dish with mangos ect always tasty and from a personal point of view not too hot. My son says the slightly hotter meals are good also. Never been disappointed yet.

Order came early which was fantastic. Food was piping hot. The korma wasn’t as flavourful as I’ve had else where but was still very delicious and the portions were huge. We’d definitely order from here again.
