I have been to the Raj garden many times over the years and it never fails to disappoint. Our server Ali was very attentive and did very good check backs. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures. However, the service was great really genuinely lovely staff. Although when the order was taken,(not by Ali) it was a bit hap Hazard.t he was aking everyone mains dishes then rice dishes and then breads. The chicken in my butter chicken was nice. But I could tell it wasn't fresh. My mother had a chicken shashlik which is a staple for her. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. For me the poppadoms are my wife's fave. Make sure you get a good amount. They have red dyed coconut shavings which are delicious.

Always a pleasure, went there on the opening night around 27 years ago. Still the best food. I try and go whenever I am in the area. Went again last night with my daughter and her friends. Lovely to see Saddiq and the food and service was great as usual.

A very busy restaurant even on a Tuesday. But food quality wasn't good. Had the butter chicken but wasn't that nice. naan bread was burnt. Friendly staff but overall not impressed

We had the pleasure of visiting The Raj tonight. We had the jalfrazy, korma paneer, garlic naan and rice between two of us. The whole meal was outstanding and flavoursome (as usual). The service was excellent throughout, very friendly and attentive. 10/10 all round. Can’t wait to come back again!! 😊😊

Came here for friends' birthday after work on a Tuesday when they had their offer on. Their was 8 of us. The staff were friendly and despite the restaurant being packed, all meals came out together so noone was waiting around. Food was delicious and will be back. I had the lamb kebab, butter chicken, rice and bombay aloo. Highly recommend 👌

Friendliest restaurant ever ! Another great experience at Raj Garden last night. Always a warm welcome on arrival, we were a table of 6 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had old favourites and tried some new things too. Very accommodating when I wanted to swap one item for another - this was no problem at all. Good value for money and the staff and service are superb. Highly recommend ! : x

Ordered takeaway at 5pm for delivery at 6.45pm.order number 9346. It didn’t arrive by 7.20pm so I called. It then arrived about 5 mins later albeit warm with no raita for the starter. I usually collect which is normally good but was very disappointed tonight.

Not bad but not as good as the reviews say. Whilst the food was ok it wasn't as good as what we are used to, the potatoes were dry and not much taste, the naan was well overdone and I couldn't taste any cheese and as for my Jalfrezi well that was so hot I couldn't eat it all and I like hot food. That was hotter than any vindaloo I've ever had and my work mate said the same. I think personally they made a mistake in the kitchen as that was nuclear! That aside as I said it wasn't' bad but not as nice as I've had around the country as you'll see from my other reviews. Also I know they were busy but an hour and a half for my main to come out and 45mins after my starters is way too long so never really enjoyed the experience either! Also the presentation of the food could do with some work.

A great restaurant very friendly service

I had a delightful experience at this restaurant. The service was commendable, with attentive and friendly server personnel. The chicken and lamb dishes were particularly outstanding, showcasing the chef’s skill and flavor expertise. While the overall dining experience was impressive, I believe there’s room for improvement in the prawn Biryani. It could be enhanced for an even more satisfying taste. Nevertheless, I’m giving it a solid 4 stars, appreciating the positive aspects and looking forward to returning.

Found on internet staying in area overnight had excellent meal and amazing service on Sunday night special offer. Well worth a visit.

Terrible food We ordered paneer tikka masala - it was red in colour like beet red so clearly loads of colour added. Paneer was chewy and the curry was sweet like made with tomato ketchup. Mix veg dry was below average but not as bad as the paneer. We have eaten here once before and the food was decent. Last night was a shocker.

Best Indian restaurant in Watford been getting food from here for over 15 years. Always delicious.

So very disappointed at being lied to. Without shadow of a doubt the best restaurant about and used it for 10 to 15 years but after 2 hours of waiting for a delivery that was said to be "on the road" when it hadn't even been cooked. I don't know what to say to that. Something has changed and not for the better.

Great food every time I have been

I took my mum for a birthday meal here (just the two of us) as we wanted to try something local and fancied Indian food and I must say - we were not left disappointed. From the food to the quality and attentiveness of the staff we were very impressed. The food was absolutely delicious! Plenty of parking in and around the restaurant as non permitted (we managed to park directly outside) I have just popped in once again to thank the staff as I happened to be driving past for going above and beyond. This restaurant without doubt deserves 5 stars. I have recommended to friends and family and would not hesitate to do so to anyone else. Thank you Rajs Garden!💛

Well been visiting this place for many a year as from Newcastle a little bit infrequent but at least once a year . What can I say tasty food reasonable price good portions staff fab and look after you nothing not to enjoy

What an AMAZING find. We were staying in Bushey to visit London and fell across this restaurant. The food was great value for money. Staff were very attentive, but not pushy. The only down side is that we don't leave near enough to visit. Would not hesitate to recommend and visit again.

(Had this for delivery) This was my first Indian curry from a restaurant and I got to say that there could not be a better first time, food was hot and the right spicy for the dish, also incredible price for what it is, if there was more stars I would put it! Dish - lamb tikka madras.

The dishes were severely “dumbed” down for the western palate. Very little on the vegetarian spreads. Generous use of sugar in curries. Definitely, not for the South Asian natives, however got the impression that the place is quite popular amongst the non SA natives (being speculative, we were the only browns in the room).

naaaa.. not an indian but bangladeshi restaurant, and you can tell it by tasting their daal which they have spelled "DALL". I won't recommend if you are a vegetarian/vegan. Anyways, not a bad restaurant to try otherwise.

Very bad app with bad pictures of the menu. Takeaway order super bland have tasted better from a supermarket, not fresh, overcooked lamb rogon, rubbery tandoori chicken, garlic nan without garlic. Website says 20% off if collected but was told cash only and you can have discount!! This is why uber eats, and others spoil what may be a better service.. Opt out and concentrate on giving your customers authentic and quality food. I live locally and this is the 3rd time I've been dissatisfied with the service and food. Avoid😡

The staff were really friendly and helpful with explaining the types of foods and recommendations. We went with a really good deal on a Wednesday evening which was the Thali night. Which included mixed meat Thali or vegetable Thali with a start for 14

we are 60 plus and only have a takeaway. We have used the same restaurant for our Indian takeaway for years. A couple of weeks ago a friend of ours suggested try Raj Garden as that is his must use place. We had a takeaway last Saturday, delivery was well within the time span given and the food was extremely good. We have just had another delivery, have tried a different variety of food and again extremely good food. We wont be ordering elsewhere again, absolutley grat food and service

This is now my go to Indian restaurant in the Watford area, wonderful, plentiful, affordable food served by an attentive staff. Notwithstanding for a main it is half the price of other local Indian restaurants. I have never had a bad meal at or from this restaurant and I highly recommend it.

We normally have a great meal at the Raj, but something went wrong last night there was nine of us and we arrived on time at 7:30 pm. Our order was taken at 7:45Pm the starters turning up at 8:30pm, a long wait. By 9:30pm I was getting quiet agitated and wondered what happened to the mains. Finally at 9:40pm they arrived…..COLD so all sent back. A disappointing evening. Would we go back? Think we’ll give it a rest for a while

Rang up restaurant on a Friday night after arriving at a local hotel with my children. We had a really nice meal here. The staff were friendly and the menu is really worth exploring. They have you "traditional curry house" favourites but also some really flavoursome items I'd not experienced before. The prices are very reasonable. We will be coming back to try some more of the menu. Thanks guys, see you soon.
