Pre-ordered a take away for 8pm and the staff show up with it at 6:25pm. I showed him the order confirmation but his suggestion was to keep the order and microwave it. Eventually, he agreed to return at 8pm with a fresh order. However, it was clear that they had just returned with the same order heated up. Mistakes happen, I get that, but unfortunately, this was a bad decision from the restaurant that could have been handled better. This was our first time ordering from here but will be our last.

We went for my nieces birthday, the food as always was superb- really tasty and plenty of it. The service was good, even though they were busy! the food came out quick and very good value. Will be going back soon :)

We 've been regular local customers for forty years and quite simply Pubali consistently delivers fantastic Indian cuisine. Now we have moved to Suffolk we have yet to find a restaurant of comparable standard. Every time we're back in London we get a takeaway to carry back to Suffolk. Fantastic food, fantastic service. Dilip, you're simply the best.

Got a takeaway from here (chicken biriyani and chicken bhuna), really enjoyed it. Staff were friendly when collecting the order and the food was really tasty. The chicken in both curries was tender and food was packed full of flavour. Would order from here again.

First time visiting this wonderful restaurant in Potters Bar. Possibly some of the best curries I’ve ever had particularly the Chicken Patia. Will visit again regularly. Highly recommended. Five ⭐️⭐️🤣🤣🤣

Not been for a while although had take away few times To be honest was disappointed this time its usually really good but the tandoori prawn Korai had very little sauce could usially lour it over a portion of rice and it covered it this time it was greasy and wouldn't have filled a tra cup! The veg curry had no flavour and was watery the kema nan was thick and quite stodgy Probably a bad day or they changed chef ! Will.go again and give them another chance as been going for years and never had bad meal

We booked easily online and was welcomed and shown to our table by the wall. The restaurant is so clean, professional and decorated to a high standard. The menu has a great selection of options to choose between, everything tasted really nice, the quality is definitely a step up here, such nice flavours, well presented food and really tender meat and with a very reasonable price attached to it too. You could come here as a couple, a group, or however, perfect for any occasion, we was mixed in smart dress and casual as we all came after work, but you wouldn't feel out of place in either outfit, which is nice as if you did want to dress up to come here you definitely could do that. I've already started recommending this place to people, I've only been here the once but I hope when I return to this place that it is consistent as we honestly really liked it here!

Grabbed a lamb biryani tge restaurant service person never sounded professrather cocky from start unlike my midlands indian local polite & professional at all time overcharged on lying avout starters , stated a different orice would recommend this place personally I'd avoid it

We had a take-away and I collected for speed. The papadums were fresh and crisp, the naans delicious. My vegetable biriany was very tasty and it was a generous portion too. Pubali and Brothers have maintained their very high standard.

This was my second visit to this restaurant, now called PB, I think, and I enjoyed as much as the first. The food is good, we had a mix of veggie dishes, all of them were different, all tasty. The service was delightful too. If you're looking for an Indian restaurant in Potters Bar, then I thoroughly recommend it.

I have been a regular for both eating in and takeaway for many years. Last night a group of 6 of us ate in which included a couple of first timers. All were very impressed with the quality of food and the reasonable cost. As one of my friends said who has also been a regular it is very rare to have a disappointing meal. The service is always excellent and the owner is very attentive and a friendly chap. Usually under £30 per head but on this occasion we opted for desert which sneaked price into early 30's.

Been many times before - although not frequently - thought we'd try it again as it's been refurbed. One of our dishes came out raw in the middle and it was re-cooked rather than replaced, which meant most of the outside was burned. Otherwise decent food and relatively friendly / helpful service.

Came here with work colleagues, two of us had chicken and it was awful and undercooked, when the waiter came to ask how our food was we told them about the chicken being awful and undercooked and he just walked off, no apology or anything to resolve the issue, they gave us the bill and didn’t even take off the two dishes so i said im not happy about paying for food we didnt enjoy or finish. They then took off the two chicken dishes but were very rude. Not a nice experience in here, been here a few times in the past and no problems but last night was awful and not a nice atmosphere.

I have visited 3 times. The first 2 times, the service and food excellent. The 3rd time, the food was good, but service very disappointing. I had reserved a table a while ago to celebrate a friends birthday. When I asked to sit on the side tables. I was told they were reserved, another waiter then heard and came and moved us to the side table. It took a while to give us menus and take a drink order. When we tried to order a cocktail from the menu, we were told they were unavailable. The food came and was delicious . whilst we were eating, the waiter was spraying a strong smelling surface spray to clean the tables around us, this was very off putting and interfered with the enjoyment of the food. Once we ate the bill was brought to us. We were not asked if we wanted any drinks or desserts. I booked this restaurant to treat a friend for her birthday, and actually I was deeply embarrassed, for the service we got.

Superb food , really modern surroundings nice and bright and colourful, the staff are so friendly. I’ve been twice now and both times the food was delicious. We had the chilli fish and chilli paneer each one was beautiful. I’m introducing my work friends 15 of them to this lovely restaurant this week, I’m sure they will all love it like I do.

Lovely service but unfortunately have all been unwell since eating there. Literally 1hr afterwards. Food tasted ok, not fabulous. Obviously something went wrong. Shame.

I've been eating from the Pubali since 1999, consistently good food and service. No wonder Dilu and the team have won HERTS curry chef of the year several times.

We are regular visitors to the Pubali and highly recommend it. Varied menu, food is always delicious and well presented. Fish and prawn dishes especially good, as are all vegetable dishes. Lovely decor, welcoming relaxed atmosphere with helpful attentive staff. Always a pleasure, thank you.

Very impressed by this place. The smart interior and toilets were spotless, service prompt and friendly, delicious food, and reasonable prices. And in the evening you can park right outside. Definitely recommended.

I was advised to try this restaurant and now visit when I am in the area. There's not a lot to say except that the food is so tasty, well presented, top quality chicken, drinks reasonable and pleasant staff!

Pubali has been our go-to eat-in Indian restaurant (and take-away for that matter) for many years now. Newly refurbished, the staff are always very welcoming and the service is great. If you’re up for trying new things they will happily recommend dishes to try, and if you just like the plainest Korma and rice…there’s no judgement there either! Highly recommend. So much so, we’re planning on going back there tonight!

What a treat! Was driving around trying to find something to eat and decided to give this a try. Wow amazing food and lovely staff/owners. Really made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Perfect.

To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. I never ever been treated badly in my life when I go to a restaurant. I felt a little awkward asking for things by the way a waiter gave attitude. I had a bad toothache so couldn’t finish my food and asked a older fair skin gentleman to pack my food to go home. When I got home I saw my food was leaking everywhere and they shoved my food rice, curry and naan bread in a bread bag!! Unbelievable I was horrified and felt like crap! I strongly feel this was due to do with the colour of my skin as I sensed it being at the restaurant and now to have this treatment I know that they would do it to a European person. Im always going all kinds of restaurants and always have my food properly packed with care. I literally threw the whole thing in the bin as I didn’t feel I trusted it the way it was handled. I certainly will not be going back there again! Such a shame as the food was ok.

Haven't been here for ages, it's now called Pubali 3 Brother (P3B) but I have to say the food was excellent, all of it. The rice was perfect, the meat was succulent. The staff were very nice. I stronghly recommend.

This is hands down the best curry house in the area. Always buy from here, and always recommend all my friends/family do. They never disappoint! Amazing food and always great service!

Just went for a pint of beer and non veg starter. The waiter was rude and said it's fine dining. No where it looks fine dining and mentioned minimum 20 pounds bill. After I start having my beer he tells. Very pathetic service and place.

Second time visiting this restaurant since it's refurb, which looks very plush with nice cutlery, seating and wine glasses....but a couple of notes to owners...you need ditch the "temporary A4 sheets of paper menus now" they're grubby and not necessary plus you need wider tables or loose 2 spaces and give folks 2 Square tables....there were only us 2 but we didn't have enough room for the meal, wine bottle, water so shared a neighbouring tables space! Food excellent quality for those that like trying new dishes I have to say it's a small limited menu (but suits me!) quantity and quality lovely. Definitely recommend trying :)

I love the food from this restaurant. Everything is amazing. HOWEVER, It really bothers me the amount of plastic packaging that I receive everytime that we order from here. It is honestly painful to throw away SO much plastic. Some people might think it's not worth taking a whole star from a review for this, but is time we realize how important it is to reduce our waste. I try to recycle as many containers as I can, but I have so many of them at this point I don't need anymore. I would suggest you guys find sustainable packaging options. At some point, younger genetarions (Millenials, Gen Z and Gen Alpha) will be your customers and based on research climate change and sustainability are our top priorities. So, think about it.

Food so greasy it will block arteries. Surprised to see potato in a vindaloo to bulk it up and the naan bread very doughy. However 2 stars to flavor.

Below average. Unusual pilau rice. It was multicoloured in places and the rest was white. It tasted like plain rice. Curry was very oily.

We had a delicious takeaway from P&B (formerly Pubali) last night and it was so delicious! The chicken was so tender! It was our first time ordering from here and we will definitely return perhaps to dine in as the deco is gorgeous. I would definitely recommend either dining in or ordering a takeaway from this restaurant.

I've been going to this restaurant for the last couple of years. I must admit it's the best Indian food I've ever had in Hertfordshire. The staff are absolutely amazing and the chef cooks a mean vinderloo! Would recommend to anyone looking to eat an Indian in the area!

A great find, Very tasty takeaway with great quality meat. Had a simple Lamb Bhuna which was very tastful, together with a saag paneer which was super creamy. Definitely recommend

Had a family take out on Saturday. Truly the best Indian food I've tasted since I left New York. Chicken Tikka Masala is supreme. Kids loved their dishes (Korma and Butter Chicken) my wife loved her Lamb curry. Wow, this place is AMAZING! Great staff, great food. 10 out of 10!

Been ordering regularly the last few months and can honestly say it is my favourite restaurant in potters bar! Food is always great and they even offer free delivery so no complaints here I would recommend anyone to give it a try!

Covid-19 has meant we haven't been able to eat in the restaurant but the quality of the takeaways is absolutely the best!! We like to have one at least every couple of weeks. The chicken tikka main dish is so delicious!!

Been using this restaurant for a few years now as I love the lamb dopiaza, but the last four or five times I have ordered from them I have always gotten stale poppadoms even though I ask to make sure they are fresh. And I didn't get the little bag of onion & lettuce salad this time either.

Ordered over the phone yesterday. Very polite man took my order. Ordered both veg and meat meals. Chicken tikka starter very well cooked and tasty. Mushroom biryani good quality. All food cooked very well and good quality. Delivery time was good. All in all, very happy customer. Keep up the good quality and service Guys!

This is hands down the best curry house that I have ever been too. Food is incredible and staff are so friendly. Before lockdown we ate in the Pubali most Saturday evenings and have been regular customers for many years, so very pleased it's now open for takeaways. Have really missed the delicious food and our two recent takeaway meals were extremely good. Thank you Dilu and all at the Pubali for our return to some Saturday night normality. The best meal I have had for the past 12 weeks! Absolutely incredible food with the Lamb Katchi Aloo being the outstanding dish. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough to anyone who appreciates superb Indian food.

Pubali were closed for some time during the lockdown. I really missed the consistently delicious vegetable birianies, fresh baked naans and crisp, ungreasy papadums. The sauce in the sag paneer is a bit too sweet for my taste but otherwise wonderful.

We have had takeaways from this restaurant on 3 occasions and they never disappoint. We enjoyed generous portions of vegetable biriany with the perfect amount of spicy heat, fluffy naans and crisp and dry papadums

The chicken jalfrezi is amazing as is their prawn purée. I was a little disappointed with the lamb madras but would definitely try it again!

First time visiting after recently moving to the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Tasty and not greasy, all the meat was very tender. Naga lamb had a decent kick and amazing naan. Only downside for me was a lack of very hot specials but that's my palate rather than criticism of the food. Will be back

I came here with my family and really enjoyed the food. I loved the meat biryani and the service was excellent. My sister ordered the chicken korma which she said was one of the best she ever tried. Will be definitely coming back here.
