The best restaurants serving Indian food in Calderdale Yorkshire and The Humber

This is a brilliant warm and friendly restaurant. The ambiance was lovely, the service was excellent and the food was superb. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back.

Our first time with a meal delivered to our home. No pictures as we immediately scoffed all the delights. Extremely happy with the deliciousness and quality of everything. I was a bit hesitant as Mexican food was on offer for today's eat at home menu - not my partner's favourite but we needn't have worried, a ting of chilli, but not too hot - that was made up for with wondrous tastiness. And a very cheery delivery to boot! Thank you, we will be back!

We arrived at 6:50pm and ordered food at 7:10pm food didn’t arrive until 8:50pm. The service was diabolical. None of the servers talked and kept leaning over people eating. We had to ask multiple times when our food was coming and only one person didn’t ignore us but told us it was about to come out. This was half an hour before we got our food. The plate was hotter than our food. The food was ok the chicken was burnt. This was appalling service. None of the staff are friendly and they don’t want to listen to you. There was dirty cutlery and dirty dishes put on the table. They tried to wipe the old food off before we noticed it was dirty. We will not be coming back to this establishment as we feel like they don’t want us to enjoy our time and they are just here for the wage.

We were vastly disappointed by the second rate food refued a sweet menu we're to busy and you need to leave the table in a few minutes as it is booked. Plus we were told when booking it was the normal menu at 5 pm until 8 when they have a event on totally miss leading a fixed price menu only available at£ 27.95 it was kayotic and really poor service I would not have booked had I known it was a fixed price I didn't usually bother with reviews was served 2 small side dishes as her meal cold and.. enadable . they were greedy and totally over booked so cinnamon but you have seen the last of my family you totally ruined the first new years eve we've had off work for the past 30 years retired chef and restaurant er any poor reviews you get for that poor performance are richly deserved

Had a brilliant night. Polite lovely staff showed us what to do as we hadn’t been before. Food was beautiful! we really enjoyed the atmosphere and staff were so helpful bringing us another Pepsi seconds after we asked. Will definitely be returning soon

Really lovely experience overall. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The server took care to ensure we understood the menu and chose a dish which suited our spice preference.

Brilliant starters and main courses. One of the best curries ever. Everything was beautifully cooked and spiced.

I cannot understand all of the great reviews. The restaurant was not inviting. Food OK. Staff OK. Did not want to stay any longer than need be due to there being no heating.

I cannot write a review on the food on account it didn't show up! Called 10 minutes after the eta on just eat to be told it was running late, still didn't arrive, phoned back again and was told it had been delivered, which it hadn't. The operative argued it had been delivered. Poor customer service with no apology or offer of a replacement when we've ordered from there several times before. Now having to faff about getting a sizable refund via Just Eat 👎

Had a takeaway from the Lounge tonight. Food was excellent, really tasty and well cooked. Prompt delivery on time and very polite driver. Naan bread was to die for as usual. Glad that it's still very, very good. Well worth trying if you either live in Todmorden or just visiting.

Edit: Oct 2024 - Sadly, despite rumours of just closed for a refit, now seems to have closed down. Shame. Update: Dec 2024 - Good news! They're back and food as good as ever!

Lovely food, friendly owner! A great place with great tasting food, a good variety on the buffet they offer and a friendly staff to-boot. It's run by an owner who takes great pride in the running of his business. He even suggested that if we have specific requests for the buffet, to ring ahead so that he can have them specifically prepared fresh. More restaurants should be run like this. 😊

Good meat curries, lovely naans. Good people working there. Feels a bit cramped inside but takeaways are good.
