The best restaurants serving Indian food in Calderdale Yorkshire and The Humber

Our first time with a meal delivered to our home. No pictures as we immediately scoffed all the delights. Extremely happy with the deliciousness and quality of everything. I was a bit hesitant as Mexican food was on offer for today's eat at home menu - not my partner's favourite but we needn't have worried, a ting of chilli, but not too hot - that was made up for with wondrous tastiness. And a very cheery delivery to boot! Thank you, we will be back!

Arrived on Saturday to stay for one night and the lady that greeted us was very warm and welcoming we did not eat at the restaurant and that’s only because we had had an Indian meal the night before - the lady showed us to our room the room itself was quite big and clean furniture a bit dated it’s only opened as a hotel since 30th April so I was surprised to see a big hole in the back of the bathroom door some areas of tiling had not been done properly and the extractor fan in bathroom was full of dust - that said room was ok - we went down for breakfast in morning with the knowledge from the booking saying it was continental or halal breakfast so we had it in mind to go for continental - when we arrived downstairs their were already 3 couples downstairs eating breakfast we didn’t know whether to wait or just go and sit at a table after a few minutes we were asked to go and sit in the lounge area which was dirty from the night before we asked if it could be cleaned and he said your not going to be sitting there that’s why I said sit on settee???? we sat there for a total of about 10 minutes in this time I said to my fiancée I can’t see a table with continental breakfast options on it eventually he seated us and went off again - 2 people came downstairs and he said yes go and sit down there at this point we was getting really annoyed why was it ok for them to be seated and we had to wait he then came out with a breakfast of 2 small sausage a pot of beans and an egg that looked like it had been run over by a lorry off the M62 it was that flat and dirty looking and 2 toast with one sachet of Lurpak butter he then asked if we wanted tea or coffee we asked for orange juice and he gave us a glass each I couldn’t finish it as it was cheap watered down orange in all this time he didn’t ask if we wanted a halal breakfast in the first place he did not ask if we had any allergies or in fact if we were vegetarian in fact he gave us no option at all the breakfast I could not eat as it was disgusting to look at and for £98.00 for the room I would have expected more and more so if that’s all you have as an option for a halal breakfast then that’s shocking - Breakfast is supposed to start your day - you are running a hotel where you will have all different ethnicities so you should be accommodating a breakfast that everyone is able to eat this has let you down considerably for the price we just paid so we ended up getting up and leaving we definitely would not stay here again just shocking I wish I had brought my phone downstairs like I usually do as I would have put a picture on to show how shocking this breakfast was.

The food did not taste nice at all, it was reminiscent of an old fridge smell. The naan was good but would not recommend their curries

I’m a regular but the service this week was absolutely appalling, even though only 4 tables in :- - After ordering ( and reminding them ) waited 20 mins for popadom’s - lost our order ! - requested extra chilli’s on food, didn’t get added - Forgot Chapattis, had to wait 10 mins - Ordered beer & Tea - they forgot ! Left extremely disappointed.

First time went there with a group of 14, Had a awful moment I don't think I'd ever go there again or recommend to anyone. for a buffet restaurant they were slow filling in food, had to wait or either come back, Starters weren't all that! Not much a variety! Deserts were horrible! staff was rude had attitude, very poor service!!

Really lovely experience overall. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. The server took care to ensure we understood the menu and chose a dish which suited our spice preference.

I cannot understand all of the great reviews. The restaurant was not inviting. Food OK. Staff OK. Did not want to stay any longer than need be due to there being no heating.

Ordered a takeaway from here and really enjoyed it. I thought it was very tasty.

Been here tonight with my partner and two children, friendly atmosphere not felt rushed like some places, staff lovely stand watching you, great value for money definitely will return xxx

I cannot write a review on the food on account it didn't show up! Called 10 minutes after the eta on just eat to be told it was running late, still didn't arrive, phoned back again and was told it had been delivered, which it hadn't. The operative argued it had been delivered. Poor customer service with no apology or offer of a replacement when we've ordered from there several times before. Now having to faff about getting a sizable refund via Just Eat 👎

Came here for a curry club, absolutely phenomenal curry, arguably best I have ever eaten. Fantastic place. Will return.

Ordered chicken korma (takeaway), very bland and also expensive. Have enjoyed in the past but will try somewhere else next time

Lovely food, friendly owner! A great place with great tasting food, a good variety on the buffet they offer and a friendly staff to-boot. It's run by an owner who takes great pride in the running of his business. He even suggested that if we have specific requests for the buffet, to ring ahead so that he can have them specifically prepared fresh. More restaurants should be run like this. 😊

Excellent food and great atmosphere, perfect for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was buzzing for a Monday evening.
