Just ordered twice in 2 days after loving everything I ordered the first time , such good quality food , very tasty and speedy delivery and all At a great price however the second time I ordered there was hardly any meat in the curry dish which for me was disappointing but I still enjoyed it and won’t put me off so as far as I’m concerned it’s the best curry house in Halifax and I will keep on ordering

Great food and very friendly staff. We ordered butter chicken and it was best so far I had. The fried momos was yummy. We enjoyed a lot and will go again soon.

Had a takeaway this weekend and while I can't fault the delivery speed and overall taste of the dishes, unfortunately my starter, main and even pilau rice were all literally swimming in oil. Far too much in my opinion and sadly I was up in the night taking indigestion tablets which I rarely do after a curry. Shame as this has put me off ordering again.

On a trip to Halifax to test the Halifax Courier’s claim that this town was ‘The Shoreditch of the North’ we planned to finish with a Rubi and had asked a couple of the barmen in town where was the best spot for a curry and this place kept coming up, so we booked it. Very good and efficient service levels which started when we realised we had miscounted our numbers and they squeezed another table for two on for us. Decent traditional Indian menu and all the options the group went for were considered very good, especially my murgh tikka masala which I considered extremely good. Certainly one of the most flavoursome Indian meals I’ve had in a while. And I know it’s all relative, but the price point for my London wallet was excellent and I would have to pay a lot more for this quality of food back down in the smoke. Yes it is cash only but they do tell you that at time of booking and there are cash points nearby. I personally don’t have a problem with that, it’s card only that I am not enamoured by. Would certainly recommend this one if you are in town. Best complement I can pay the Spice Delight is that it would not be out of place on Brick Lane, you know the one near Shoreditch. As for Halifax being the Shoreditch of the North? Well we’ll take that with a pinch of salt. However with all its recent additions of new shiny bars in recent years, especially the Victorian craft beer cafe and København, I would certainly agree that Halifax is punching above its weight in that respect at the moment

First time here what an amazing meal it was delicious we just went in on the off chance of a table it was really busy had to wait a few minutes but it was so worth the wait the food was fresh and well presented we really did enjoy it the atmosphere in the restaurant was nice aswell we will definatley be returning the staff had excellent customer service all in all an amazing restaurant

Wonderful Experience. Everything about the whole evening was spot on! Food was delicious. No swimming in ghee! We had beautiful lamb and paneer dishes with sides, and just a couple of Indian beers. Very reasonably priced. Asked for extra coriander, and got it without having to ask again, which was great attention to detail. The decor and ambiance were spot on. Even the rest room ares were clean and well presented. The staff were attentive without being over the top, but were lovely and friendly and made us feel like they appreciated our custom. If you want an authentic curry then this is the place to go. Full of flavour, spice and just tastes quality. Really enjoyed the meal and would recommend this place to anyone! Managed to cater for a huge group of us extremely well with ease!

Best curry in Halifax, vegetarian options are amazing and happy to accommodate our daughter who is also vegetarian. Great atmosphere. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

Taken to this gem of a curry house by a friend who said “this place does great food” well I was not disappointed ,simply one of the best curries I have had ,I asked for hot ,it was hot perfect heat for me BUT OMG the flavour just stunning well balanced with the heat ,every mouthful a delight indeed they live up to their name ,, couple this with friendly chatty staff well its a winning combo for me ,,,highly highly advised to visit ,you wont be disappointed I am looking forward to my next opportunity to avail myself of their food ,sadly might be a while as I live in Eastbourne ,,,,Go and sample yourself ,,,,,,,,,just do it !!!!!!

We visited Spice Delight for the first time after a film at the cinema, and were indeed delighted. Lovely starters and curries, including excellent vegetarian and vegan options, as well as excellent service. We would strongly recommend - this is the restaurant in Halifax we have been looking for.
