The best restaurants serving Indian food in Wiltshire South West

The food arrived at the time we were told, very polite delivery guy, the food was ok, not the worse I have had, most of the food was lukewarm which is not great, thank god for microwaves 😂

Just ordered takeaway - naan was burnt and inedible. Samosas were stale and popadom dips were warm and tasted off. Avoid.

Excellent food, the service was a little slow to get my starter, however the main course followed on quite quickly. Overall I was very happy with the service and the food was very nice, spicy and flavourful!

For the past year, I have run regular charity Quiz & Curry nights at Moonlight Indian Restaurant. We usually have around 35-45 attendees and the event always runs really smoothly. The food is delicious, and the warm welcome, hospitality and service from the owner, Mynah, and his team is second-to-none! We're looking forward to the next one already.

Had one last night 22nd march 2025 and spent £106 we received the food and it was really salty and horrible have emailed and made a complaint but not had any contact back.! Very disappointed won’t order again

Me enviaron una hamburguesa de pollo, aros de cebolla, alitas de pollo y papas fritas con 3 batidos. ¿Cuando llamé dijeron que no tenían nada de lo que pedí en stock? Así que en lugar de llamarme y avisarme me dieron una orden al azar sin saber si soy alérgico a algo o nada. Cosas absolutamente impactantes, nunca ordenes desde aquí

Attention to detail done correctly would recommend

Firstly I've given this rating on just the food alone as this was an online order from justeast. I've been generous with the atmosphere and service ratings (as I've never been to the restaurant). To the food, the sizzling chicken tikka I ordered was not cooked. Inedible. The Naga rice, which was nice included uncooked rice. Largely inedible. Will I order again, no.

I was so looking forward to going to this restaurant for some time as family & friends gave highly rated it. Had a 5:15pm booking (the earliest evening opening time) felt rushed to order and after the starters my plate was taken away whilst I was still eating the last mouthful! We were not offered the early evening menu value menu which I have now seen on their website so didn’t know there was one until the couple on the next table asked for it which prompted the table on the other side to also ask for it as they didn’t know either. By then we were on our mains so too late for us to do anything about it. There’s was large portions so that’s a plus but I felt hurried and the food was nice but only average tasting. I feel the items on the menu are ‘hyped up’ In description to make it sound fancier than it really is. No where to hang your coats etc so had to put them on the floor under out table, we were not offered a place to put them we were seated by the mirror and it was a tight squeeze for just the 3 of us on a table for 4! Different waiting staff throughout and apart from the lady who attended to us with drinks there wasn’t much smiling and interaction from the other staff no one came & asked if we were enjoying our meals or if there was anything else we needed.

Just had my first takeaway from Chutneys and oh my gosh...it was amazing! Tasted different to the usual thoroughfare you get from Indian takeaways. Like they really knew how to use their spices! I recommend. 5/5 for sure!

Really nice food. The butter chicken was scrumptious if I had to say one point to improve was that we were a little cramped, we're not a petite family but it'd be nice to have some elbow room.

Arrived early evening for a meal warm and friendly welcome. Food service was excellent and the food was delicious. Great prices too, we live in Bath and the restaurants there are too fancy and expensive would rather visit here for the more personal experience and great food.
