The best in town. Eaten curry for 50 years and these guys are consistently the best for flavour, price and service. Love the Dhansak🥰

I went here with a couple of my friends and we really enjoyed our visit. The food was tasty, the service was excellent and the staff were really friendly and attentive. We were served by a young man named Samir who helped us to decide what to order. He was working very hard but still made time to check our meals were okay and that all was good!!

We had a very unfortunate delivery experience. Food is okay but service is poor. Long wait times and poor communication for delivery. Would rather pick up from somewhere else where food is better and service is way better. Such a shame as it’s one of the few that that delivers.

I have had a lot of take aways and they have all been good. Friendly staff.

We did a large corporate takeaway for lunch. Imam was excellent, so organised, really helpful and the food was amazingly good! It's hard to deliver a takeaway to a high standard when you're doing it on mass, but they did it! I know I definitely want to go and eat in!

A really friendly place with excellent food.

We tried Bengal Bite Tandoori for the first time tonight. Our new landlord left the menu in the kitchen drawer so I thought we'd give it a try. We didn't eat in and ordered a takeaway online for delivery. We chose our time slot but had a call from a member of staff to say that our meal would be delayed but it was delivered on time with the new time stated. Myself and my partner couldn't find any fault with our meal. It was hot on arrival and absolutely delicious 😋 We had Chicken Tikka Masala, Mushroom rice, Special fried rice, Pershwari nann and a couple of poppadoms with a mint yoghurt. I will definitely be ordering from here again and I'll be sure to thank our landlord for leaving the menu in the drawer.

A good find in one of Devizes many side roads but seconds from the town centre. There are only around 8 tables downstairs but more upstairs. We arrived well on time for our pre-booked table and were the first here. Chose our food while eating poppadoms with the usual accompaniments. Main courses were an extremely tasty Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi with a vegetable side dish. My wife had Lemon chicken and found it was just the right level of spice. Other dishes were 2 lots of Rice and a nan bread, coffees and a large orange juice. Friendly service from the waiter and owner. We'll definitely be back and very pleased we found the place.

I would highly recommend this Indian especially during their non busy days. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing environment, even if there are noisy customers the staff can arrange to take you to another floor where it's quieter. Food is delicious, writing this review is already making me crave another meal, I look forward to another evening here.

Delivery was good and food is decent. Look elsewhere of you want a hot curry though, even the naga(hottest dish) with special request to be spicy is mild and not hot.

I ordered a murgh masala, when it came it was almost entirely bones and cartilage with next to no meat. When we rang Bengal Bite they denied the allegation and then lied by doubling down saying "thats how they always come". After 10 minutes of rudeness and lying from the manager, we gave up and threw it away.

Arrived 6pm, only us, but quickly filled. Difficulty with tightly packed tables and chairs, but quickly sorted. Wonderful food. I had a King prawn main course, excellent, lovely flavours. Disconcerting to a point, two young lads waitering, smartly dressed and efficient, but on asking one of them about a particular dish on the menu it quickly became obvious he could hardly decipher or speak a word of English. But that aside, highly recommend this restaurant.

Went in on spec on Sunday evening and had great meal, staff were very attentive, our meals came promptly despite the kitchen being busy with take-aways, evident from the large footfall in the bar waiting area. Definitely recommend

Delivery was an hour late and food was cold. No apology from the restaurant or the driver.

Really good curry, probably the best in Devizes actually. Dhansak is really on point! Go in to eat if you can for best experience. Delivery can be slow on a busy night due to small team so collect if you're super hungry.

We have been coming here for 5 years or so, and we love it. The food is great, the staff are lovely. When you come here, you feel like you belong here. If you don't fancy cooking, come along!

Really tasty, proper good food! The delivery was running late (20mins over, driver was still out), I rang them, the food was ready and so they sent a chef/the owner straight away so we didn't have to wait another 20 mins. Really happy, best Indian in Devizes!

A friend who lives in Devizes recommended this place. He is no longer a friend. Came here on a stag weekend and boy what a disappointment. I read the reviews and such a contrasting views. Service was slow, fizzy drinks served flat, upstairs better decorated but downstairs is in need of TLC. Food, give me a few minutes and I'll let you know and if the above is not enough.

Attended as a pre-booked table of 9. Before tonight, I was under the impression that you cannot beat the service received at an Indian restaurant, boy was I wrong! Firstly the restaurant did not seem aware that we had booked, we were placed upstairs in the function room. We ordered drinks while waiting for the rest of the party to arrive, these arrived promptly, however concern from my sons (aged 8 and 4) that their orange juice tasted wrong. On taste it had gone off and had bits of white mould floating in the drink. I returned these to the bar and did not receive an apology! We were offered poppadoms while we looked through the menu, unfortunately I do not know whether these were complimentary or not due to further events. We ordered and the first round of drinks for the table came at an okay speed, after these drinks had been finished, we ordered more and waited over 20 minutes for the new drinks to arrive. Being upstairs on our own, im not too sure whether we were forgotten about and/or that the takeaway orders appeared to have been prioritised. After we had been waiting over an hour for our mains, we complained to the bar and were advised that they would speak to the kitchen. Throughout, the service was non-existant and there weren't any empathic apologies about the service that we were receiving. We left after waiting almost two hours for our mains, hungry. Would not step back in this restaurant even if they offered a complimentary meal to entice us back. The management is lacking and the staff do not appear to care about the business. Avoid.

Food presented well. Flavours ok could do with more fresh spice. Tried there buffet deal on Wednesday . Service was lacking unfortunately. Over charged by nearly £15 once I highlighted the error it was rectified but we were treated like the plaque after that. Shame as the service is a key part of any dinning experience. This is directed at the owner not waiting staff as he dealt with it. So no excuse

My issue was that priority was made to take away orders made on the night even though I booked days in advance. :-( if you want to spend 2 1/2 hrs In a restaurant then, that's fine... not for me, though

Absolutely shocking service. We have ordered from here twice and both times the food has been over an hour and a half late. Owner is very abrupt and unapologetic. Will not be ordering from here again.

Horrible place. Bucket food. Boss has a cold manor toward staff and was overheard being rude on the phone to a customer. Waiter doesn’t speak a word or English. And hide the pain Harold was very unhelpful when it came to my wife asking how long my food shall be. I will NOT be returning. Avoid at all costs. Thank me later

Fantastic Indian cuisine of the quality, certainly one of the best Indian restaurants Wiltshire has to offer!!! Staff and service are brilliant. We asked change the choice of our menu after 15 mins or order, no issues. As usual our food is hot absolutely delicious and delivered by fantastic young men polite , happy a credit to you, compliments to the owner and the team highly recommended 👌👌👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the best Indian restaurant I have visited so far in the UK. The food quality and taste is 10/10. Great environment and not the typical Indian restaurant. The service is amazing too. I would definitely recommend the restaurant for its food and ambiance. The menu you have a lot of dishes including plenty of options for desert. The quality and taste I’m sure you wouldn’t be disappointed. I highly recommend it!!

A disgraceful episode from the start to finish . Ordered online , waited 1 and half hours before making contact with restaurant to see where the food was . Was left hanging on phone for over five minutes before staff member returned and stated another half hour /45 mins ( no apology). Food then turns up 45 mins later ,cold and without a meal that was ordered. When contacted again to see what they are playing at the staff member on phone ,who yet again seemed to be unaware that an apology was the correct course of action, puffed down the phone as if it was a chore to deal with. When told they would send it out , I told them that I'm no longer willing to wait another hour while the parts of the meal that had turned up go even colder whilst waiting and I want a refund . The staff member said he couldnt do anything and the manger would ring to speak to me ......... I'm still waiting. So all in all, the worst experience I've had ordering EVER. A two and a half hour wait for Cold food ,food paid for that didn't turn up and zero customer service skills when I tried to establish what was happening that could take nearly 2 and a half hours to deliver(live 20 mins away). Do yourself a favour ,stay well clear if ordering take away Update: After having to ring and get hold of the the manager ,who was polite enough, I will be refunded for the missing items ( after trying to get away with a credit note but I won't be ordering from these again ).

Absolutely appalling. Was told 30-45 minutes for delivery. Then was told 3 times that it would be 3 minutes. It arrived 1 1/2 hours later, stone cold. I'd ordered prawns, which I couldn't reheat. £30 wasted.

Ordered my food at 7.15 pm got told it will get here for 8pm got it at 9.15pm, 2 of my dishes were like warm, not happy. 😡😡

A pleasant atmosphere with friendly staff. We ordered the food to take out and it was excellent. The portions were great value & they were seasoned well. We will definitely call again as we were so impressed.

I always like the atmosphere in this smaller curry house. Feels more intimate and I like the darker decor. Food has always been just right and prices reasonable and often do special offer nights. This is always the curry house I bring out of town friends to to make sure we have a good meal.

Was treated here for a pre birthday dinner, courtesy of a very kind friend, who is a well known regular at this establishment. The restaurant was surprisingly busy, despite being under Covid restrictions. Sanitiser was supplied at the entrance .We were greeted by the friendly manager, who came across that nothing was too much trouble. The Banquet deal (Wednesday nights only) was good value, the Chicken Korma was very tasty, aswell as the rice dishes, I could not fault any of the food and Im a fussy person, having eaten out in numerous eateries. The service was efficient , the food was delivered fairly quickly, I would definitely recommend.

We were the only ones for a while eating in, yet it took 20minutes to even get a drink! Poppadoms came only shortly before starter. Didn't get offered more drinks. Etc etc. No excuse for such poor service. Will not be returning.

Had to ask to take the order for starters, then waited until we were eating starters to take main orders. Ordered chicken Shaslik, way too hot could not eat it.

Our first choice of Indian restaurant was fully booked. Got a table at this place, wasn't really expecting it to be as nice as the old spot, but, NOW my favourite! Amazing food which totally blew me away.

Went with friends for dinner for first time since Covid lockdown. The restaurant was surprisingly crowded, and nothing appeared to be different for Covid reasons, other than sanitiser available at the doors. Tables busy & close together, re-use of menus etc. The food was very tasty, and the Banquet deal (Wednesday nights only) was good value, but several dishes arrived not very hot, and a couple had to be sent back to be reheated. An order for an extra beer took forever to arrive, and we had to ask for extra side-plates and replacement knives missing from the table setting. The service overall was rather too casual to be described as good or attentive. A good meal, but won't be in a hurry to return.

If I could give a zero star I would. I preordered a take away at 3.30 for a delivery at 6.30 didn't turn up I then call up at 6.50 get told they will call me back in 5 mins they didn't I had to call them back 15mins later and they still had to tell me to wait 2 mins later they say it has left. Food didn't turn up untill just after 7.30 an hour late after a preorder delivery was made. They wouldn't give a partial refund or anything just said next time I order they will do it half price.. But I won't ever be ordering from here again. Unless you like food turning up late and being told to wait go for it... Very disappointing. there is better options in town than this place and the food wasn't that good chicken was a bit dry. So much oil in the sauce I could oil up my bike chain. Some of the rice was either over cooked or under cooked. For a restaurant that I would say doesn't get alot of business atm and they get my order late and taste less then I don't know what else to say

Best Indian- Bangladeshi restaurant in small town Devizes with delicious food and friendly service.

Ordered food at 5.30 lady on other end of phone a bit rude. She said 40mins until delivery. 1hour and 20mins later I rang back she assured me it was on way and hung up on me. Eventually after 2hours the guy turned up all apologetic and said he got lost ? I live in Devizes. Apparently he had a delivery in Stert first and so took my food for a little drive hence it was cold when he arrived. I said I’m not paying for that and he left me the food and off he went. Tried to warm it up but by then the evening was ruined. So don’t bother unless you like cold food!!!!!!!!🤬😡

Popped in here late on a friday night for food without booking in advance. We did not have to wait long at all before the friendly waitress took our order and the food was very quick too. Brilliant service! Tasty food and a lovely atmosphere. Considering we turned up on mad friday one of the busiest nights of the year the service was faultless. The restaurant was very clean and so was the cutlery and drinks glasses. Looking forward to my next visit already!

We dashed into The Bengal Bite on a horrible, rainy Saturday evening, although we hadn't booked we were able to have a table straightaway. We ordered poppadoms and sauces to munch while we perused their comprehensive menu, in the end we chose a chicken balti and a chicken ceylonand we shared a mushroom fried rice and a mixed vegetable curry. The quality was very good and generous portion sizes. WE also had a bottle of house white wine and the bill was very reasonable. A good value curry house to remember.

Excellent food location and services

Cheap and Cheerful. Not the worst curry I've ever had but far from the best. My mate's was closer to the worst. Too many other better choices in the area to bother with this anytime soon. Need to up their game.

My Dad & Mum’s Golden Wedding Anniversary (low key at their request) celebrations could not have gone any better when we dined here. Great staff, great banter, great food, great atmosphere, just GREAT really!! Very reasonable prices too!

We have visited this restaurant a number of times over the years and it has always been amazing food and serviceOur last couple of visits have unfortunately been very disappointing, this has been due to the food rather than service.Main meals have been tasteless and it seems the normal chief is no longer cooking dishes in the restaurant. Due to this we will not be coming back to our usual favourite Indian Restaurant in Devizes which makes us very sad.Hopefully things will get back to the usual standards in the near future.

Have had a few meals here before but tonight unfortunately was very poor!Didn’t feel very welcome to begin with in the restaurant, waited quite a while to order drinks and then food. Too much time being taken on the phone with takeaway orders rather than paying attention to customers in the restaurant. The temperature was uncomfortably cold where we were sitting just one small heater near the bar but we could feel no benefit from it at all.When the food arrived within a very short time it had gone cold!The Korma has to be the worst I’ve ever tasted .... watery and tasteless and the chicken dry .... there is far more flavour in Morrisons own brand korma sauce. The Nan bread over cooked and way too crispy .We were hungry and had elsewhere to go after so decided to eat and leave rather than complain! We won’t be returning as there are lots of other Indian restaurants to try in the Devizes/Wiltshire area.

We should have guessed there would be issues when we arrived, we had to stand (crammed in a small area) with people waiting to collect take,-away orders. Staff didn't notice us for a while even.Our drinks came fairly quickly and our order was taken, it went downhill rapidly from there.We waited for 45 minutes for our starter to arrive, and there was only 12 other people in the restaurant, 6 of which were preparing to leave! We heard the couple on the table next to us asking where there food was, they had been waiting 45 minutes already and weren't impressed at all, they had missed an appointment they had because of the ridiculous delay. When asked why so long for food the managers pathetic response was 'we've just had a big take-away order phoned in'! So customers seated in the restaurant are insignificant and ignored while take-away orders have total priority, what a joke! When we were waiting for our main course (another half an hour wait after our starters plates were cleared) I flagged down a waitress to order more drinks, having already been sat with am empty glass for some time. Ten minutes later she still hadn't bothered so I had to flag down a waiter and ask him for more drinks too. At the time there was 4 members of waiting staff and just 4 tables (including ours) with customers. 1 member of staff per table and they still didn't bother doing check backs or offering more drinks. No rose wine available and £18 for a bottle of poor quality house white wine! You'd think they'd be keen to increase their extortionate profits on drinks. There's no WiFi in this place. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the perfect temperature too. Fortunately my chicken tikka starter was perfect, and the king prawn makani main course was delicious (only 4 prawns in it, but very tasty sauce). The keema rice was very good. The lamb in the mixed starter was tough unfortunately. When we asked for the bill I told the waiter the food was good but also said the service sucked and we weren't happy about it. He just smiled and said thank you! I thought he had misunderstood so I explained above the service issues, again he smiled and said thank you, and winked at me! No idea what customer service is here, we definitely won't be back. Shame the good work the chef does is ruined by the manager and useless waiting staff. The two stars I have given were purely for my food, service deserves a minus star. If you are ordering a take-away you will be treated like a king, if you're stupid enough to bother eating in the restaurant expect to be treated like something the manager stepped in at the dog park!

I’ve eaten here twice in the past month. My food each time has been fine, although my could have been hotter in temperature last night. I’ve had a hot curry using the Naga chilli and a medium one. My partner has been disappointed - she felt the first time that unnecessary colouring had been added to her food. Last nights she thought was ok but nothing special. However the main gripe is with the guy who appears to be the manager. He is quite abrupt and can be abrasive. The is nothing welcoming about his attitude. He is very rude to his staff. Not sure I’ll bother to go again.

I also drove to this restaurant, which said it would be open on its website (and door times on arrival). Inside a little old lady said it was, but was wasn’t?!Unbelievable attitude to running a business,.....mirrored by the other one I tried earlier just up the road.Gave up and went to Trowbridge.........I’d give these a miss as well if you want to eat with any degree of certainty.

We have tried all the indians within Devizes but this is by far the best. Lovely friendly staff, gorgeous fresh food and good price. We don't get chance to go to the banquet as much as we'd like but that is brilliant value for money.

We have been regular customers of this excellent eateries for over 20 years now. Great menu, excellent service and the staff are always willing to go that extra step adjust the food to your exact taste. There are several restaurants offering similar cuisine in Devizes and some offer keener prices but in my opinion this one is consistently the best.
