The best restaurants serving Indian food in East of England

Visited one evening during a Post Christmas stay in Long Melford. Surprised at how buzzy and welcoming the restaurant was. Paneer Shaslik and Cauliflower Bhaji were the best!!!

Popped in whist on business trip mid week. A warm welcome, attentive staff. Food was excellent. I got talked into getting an onion Bhaji by the waiter... they are massive. I was almost full before my main course so pace yourself. Nice place with a good atmosphere- thanks guys.

I am shocked to how bad this meal was Apparently the driver was knocking on our door and I never heard it so I had to wait another 40 mins why they supposedly cooked me a fresh one 🤔 The king prawn Pathia was inedible as the prawns where like rubber I used to use this takeaway many years ago and thought I'd give it another try. What a mistake and what a waste of £20

Another incredible curry, we have been using them weekly for 18 months and by far our favourite in the area!

The food was really delicious and the portion sizes were great. There’s so many food options and everything we got was really yummy. Definitely would recommend.

Usually we have amazing food but this time curries we're bland and onion bhaji tasted undercooked. Hopefully this is just a one-off.

We are regulars at mim, whether it’s eating in or having a take out. The food and service is outstanding. We are so lucky to have such a great Indian in our little village.

Could not fault either the service or food. As soon as we walked into the restaurant we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble.The dishes we selected(a couple with the guidance of the waiter) were all really tasty and packed with interesting ingredients. Particularly recommend the 'special' dishes. Portions were generous and the overall cost was reasonable. What not to like?! We will definitely be going back next time we are staying in Watford.

I have no idea why, but we haven’t been here for a long time. Having returned tonight, we can’t believe what we’ve been missing for so many years. The food really is exceptionally high quality. For a provincial Indian restaurant - the food served here would grace the plates of many great restaurant in London. Could not recommend highly enough.

What a lovely place, would recommend to anyone who loves curry and friendly staff

Had hair in mango sauce and crackers were like little bits rather than whole 😞
