UPDATE. It’s been over a year since my last visit. Life has been busy. I’m pleased to say the food is still excellent. The king prawn puree was delicious as was the chicken Kazana. The naan was also very good. We washed it down with a lovely gavi ! Sal and his team delivered the normal excellent service you’d expect. Thanks again Nick Wow, we love The Drovers Arms ! Sal and his team there never fail to deliver. The food is always excellent as is the wine. The mussel starter is the best I’ve ever had. We live 12 miles away and it’s definitely worth the taxi ride. I’d recommend 100% as I’m sure you’ll not be disappointed. Look forward to seeing you soon. Congratulations on your Dads Curry Club award. Well deserved :) Cheers Nick

Great Indian restaurant, slightly more expensive than others in the local area but you get what you pay for. Just a gentle word to the owner/manager, it really is about time to take down the ‘curry of the year award’ poster dated 2004 and the other various outdated award posters that are from the last century. Also it’s about time to retire the plastic flowers and the conservatory type furniture that resides opposite the bar area. Splendid meal all the same, we will be back.

We have travelled to many Indian restaurants across the counties. This truly has got to have the most welcoming and warm atmosphere. The food has to be tge best Indian certainly for miles around. Sal the loveliest gentleman and a fantastic host. Thank you.

Right let me tell you something I’ve been to many Indian restaurants but this place is the best I’ve had by far, the staff are amazing with recommendations from them with food and drinks! Please please please give them a try the best by far I will be back although 25 miles away it’s definitely the best by far Thanks guys for making my night the best

Food is always amazing and service is friendly

Tasty food. The peshwari naan was pillowy, Bhindi Bhaji (Okra) fresh and the Lamb Chop Bhuna indulgegent. Meat was cooked well in both dishes. Good selection of wine and varied menu. Pilau Rice could have been better and portion larger. Service provided at moderate pace with welcoming staff. Saw they do a gourmet fixed menu (pre-booked) on Sundays and Wednesdays for £12.95pp so will return for that

Back to the Drovers again for a lovely dinner. The food here is reliably delicious, high quality, clever cooking. The menu offers standard favourites and exciting innovations. Don't order too much, the portions are generous! Always friendly and efficient.

I hadn't been here for quite a while and was pleased that it was the same owner! We chatted while i was waiting for my takeaway. He gave me a complimentary cobra to take home which went down well with the delicious food!!!

Had a takeaway paneer starter was awful dry and not edible and lamb tikka masala was basically appeared to be roast lamb covered in sauce. Within an an hour a eating was violently sick

I have been living abroad for three years, really missed my Indian food. Came back for a week and a friend suggested we try this - more than satisfied it was really nice atmosphere and the food was really good. Takes a lot for me to make comment. Well done if ever I am back in that area I’m back in your restaurant. You have a funny typo, it says “Indian cousin” lol.

rubbish the waiter speaks ancient chinese and the only thing on the menu is a sandwich with an egg on top 🧗🏾‍♀️

Very slow service. The starter was served an hour after we arrived. The staff apologised, but it was still frustrating. The manager told us this was due to the high number of take-away orders. There is plenty of parking on site.

Held a family leaving-do event for around 30 people. Sal the owner was fantastic from very first contact. Very relaxed and accommodating. Buffet style meal with big range of food which everyone was impressed with. Prices more than reasonable and fair. Great venue for such an event and as always, exceeded expectations! Thank you!

Come this end of the world every year, and visit the Drovers arms. Been to many restaurants, but by far this is the best food (take away and eat in) I have ever had.clean, welcoming,staff are brilliant, all ways excellent service. Price is very reasonable, And again amazing authentic food.

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were very impressed with the food and service. The menu was different from a standard Indian restaurant with so many unusual dishes to choose from. I have certainly never tried tandoori venison before and it was delicious! All the food is freshly cooked with care and attention to detail. The service was efficient and friendly, we’ll certain be returning and would recommend to anyone who loves Indian cuisine.

The food was so fresh and delicious, we all had different choices and each one was exceptional and thoroughly enjoyed. Wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant and the customer service was first class! I'm sorry but I can't see how the food is "award winning", we were excited to try it but the food was bland, undercooked and the korma was grainy. I'm from an Asian background and I'm sorry but you're letting the side down team. Sadly disappointed with this order.

If carlsberg did Indian restaurants..... an absolutely amazing meal with a varied menu that you dont get in other restaurants. I had ostrich for my starter and venison for my main both were cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and welcoming. To give you an idea how good this place is we travel 30 mins to get here passing numerous other Indian restaurants on the way.

What a lovely evening with friends. Great service and the best food I have had in a long time. I had the Tandoori Mix Grill and it was delicious. My husband had the venison and loved it. Equally our friends were very impressed as this was our 1st time here. Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back soon.

Went to this restaurant, didn't know what to expect. Was greeted very warmly by staff. Was very busy but got served very quickly. The food was so good I will definitely be back. Theres a lot to choose from on the menu too. If you do happen to be in the area, do pay this lovely restaurant a visit. You'll definitely not be disappointed

Been there a few times now. Continues to be a warm welcoming atmosphere in which is a pleasure to dine. Food continues to be amazing, freshly made, seasoned delicately that enables you to enjoy the different flavours of all ingredients. Hummed at every dish and we had quite a few from starters to main.

I ordered takeaway from here tonight for the first time, as my usual Indian was closed, and I’ll definitely be ordering again! This was one of the best Indian takeaways I’ve ever eaten. I was a little confused about the carrots in my pilau rice but other than that it was amazing!!

This was our fist visit, we are fairly new to the area so we were looking for somewhere nice to go for Sunday lunch. The food was very good with great service from the friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

An interesting menu, with a good range of more unusual or regional dishes. My choices were enjoyable, and you can have the spice level adjusted. Some food choices were not to everyone's taste, such as carrot in the pilau rice (i hate carrot so did not enjoy that). This is one of the dearer indians i have visited.

I have had previous negative experiences with regards to one of the staff members at this restaurant and their unprofessional attitude. However, last night myself and a group of friends decided to give it another go. I gave them a call in advance and arranged a booking for 9:30 with no hassle. We were seated and had very friendly and accommodating waiting staff. I ordered a lamb shatkhora which was amazing and tasted exactly how it should. We really enjoyed our meal and I would now return.

Went for my birthday meal with 15 friends. They were clearly used to catering for big groups and our food was prompt and absolutely delicious. The staff were so attentive and we had a fantastic evening out. Really recommend.
