Amazing service and without a doubt the best food I’ve ever tasted ❤️

Our favourite Indian restaurant even though its not the nearest to us. Service is always excellent, friendly and the food superb.

Two of our curries were luminous (clearly food colouring in droves) and sweeter than a £1 cheesecake with extra icing. I ate one spoonful and still felt rough. So bad i wrote my first Google review.

We were on a golfing tour,fancied a good curry, found Neelakash,looked very good and busy, so that's a good sign,the Food was bland the service was poor and portions were too small,the food arrived without the garlic bread,they arrived ten minutes later,spent nearly £200,we asked for a coffee on the house,The owner refused,how lame is that, very poor guys.

Visted tonight and the service was very poor. It was probably the worst service I've experienced for a long time. They were clearly short staffed as to get any service we had to go to the bar and ask for, a menu, cutlery, drinks and finally for the bill. Only once did the staff come to us. The service was very slow. The starter was good. However the mains were only ok. Some of sides were swimming in oil. The group of woman next to us had a similar experience and waited over a hour for their food. It was very loud in there and there was no apology for the poor experience. We won't be returning.

The best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. Modern, spacious, clean with attentive staff and delicious food. Everything was cooked fresh to order and was tasty and full of flavour. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last.

Tuesday night visit. Food superb. Cannot fault this restaurant. But I did feel we were being rushed by the guy, even though the restaurant wasn't so busy and there were spare tables. So marked service down on that basis.

Fantastic food and service , great portion sizes , even had leftover food which they packed and we took home Ambience fantastic , lovely clean restaurant, we have been going to this restaurant for 20 plus years , plus have a regular take away 100% recommend, thank you for the great meal and service

The best Indian in Ware, Sunday buffet is great value.

Came here as a group of five for dinner on Friday evening. Positives: The food quality and flavours were excellent, consistently so across all the dishes. The portion sizes are large, so for me a main course (salmon shashlik) with rice was plenty. Service was generally friendly and was efficient for a busy Friday evening. The seating is very well spaced, creating a great environment for conversation (shouting not required). The toilet facilities are very clean and well maintained. Negatives: One of our group asked for tap water and received a dirty look from the waiter. And the cost of buying half-pints of lager is disproportionately more expensive than buying full-pints (£1 more per pint).

what an excellent dining experience, from the high spec interior design through out the restaurant. The Food was incredible, each dish having distinct different flavours, usually standard British curry houses can be a bit samey, this place is in a league of its own. The service was very attentive and food was served in no time! We will certainly be making more visits.

Changed my review now, used these guys and spent a lot of money over the years and tonight they said they aren't taking collection orders.will never go there again. Edited - It's equally appaling to be rude to long standing customers and you look after them before taking on new customers.

Place is lovely, the vegan options needed thinking about..# does cabbage go in every meal... They need to ficus and celebrate on veg not add them all in like pot luck

Best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. Food, service and ambience all impeccable. This is not your typical tired curry house. You won't find everything garnished with dead coriander leaves or stalks lol... Really enjoyed all the dishes.

We really love this restaurant. The decor and ambience are great and the food is really excellent. We agreed that the onion bhajis were the best we had ever had, and the main courses were that little bit different with an edge of quality. Really special.

Fabulous food and the team there are always willing to stretch your palette and will encourage you to try new things. Super food from Bangladesh. My friend who loves chicken with pineapple was thrilled to find that when they said with, they meant with... Another return meal (to beat the Valentines crush!) we had a tandoori mixed grill (huge! 1/4 chicken, butterfly prawn, lamb chop, lamb kebab, chicken wings) a mirch chicken (coriander and Tamarind sauce) rice and Daal. The mixed grill came with a salad and a naan. Absolutely delicious although the mixed grill was (unusually) a tad overcooked.

Been quite a few times over the years and their food is excellent. Unfortunately this time the service was incredibly bad. We waited an hour for our main course which is totally unacceptable. Such a shame as we will not be going back for a long time.

Best curry house in Hertfordshire for sure!

Visited the Neelakash on a cold Thursday evening in late December. Even at the early hour of 6pm the restaurant was already busy, always a good sign. The majority of my family are strict vegetarians and the menu does cater for them. We ordered poppadoms to start, I was very surprised to later learn we charged extra for the pickles per person - Ouch! I was the only meat eater amongst our party and ordered the chicken naga, the rest of the family ordered a mixture of vegetable biryianis, a mushroom bhaji, an alu gobi and a vegetable buna. The food took a while to come, but we didn't mind the wait as all the food is freshly prepared here. My Chicken Naga was rather on the dry side, not enough sauce and quite mild for a Naga curry, but the chicken had nice flavour and was well cooked. The veggie biryanis got the thumbs up as did the mushroom bhaji. The veggie buna like my dish was on the dry side. Not exactly cheap here, but the food is good.

Exceptional food. Wonderful service The best onion bhajees I’ve ever had(and I’ve had a few) and 4 wonderful main dishes. The staff are delightful and the house wine is nice. There is nothing not to like and 4 very full very happy customers left the restaurant last night. We will be back!!

Service excellent but unfortunately the tandoori chicken masala was very sweet & the egg fried rice was quite greasy.

A little overpriced and rather disappointing. Good size portions and excellent booking but will head over to Stortford where Masala's food is on another level.

I've been to Neelakash a number of times for the Sunday Buffet service. The food is always tasty with good service. I need to visit more often. Always an enjoyable meal and good experience and reasonably priced.

Excellent Indian restaurant. Lovely, intimate decor with comfortable seating and spacious dining area. Clean, modern premises, warm and welcoming staff, extensive and exquisite menu with tasty, perfectly presented cuisine, reasonably priced. For an unhurried, relaxed meal that will make you happily repeat, look no further. Simply the best Indian restaurant for miles.

Took a chance and drove to Ware to try this restaurant. It was outstanding and I will be returning.

After everyone telling me its a great curry house, i was seriously disappointed! Serve was horrendous, had to ask more than four times for the other half of our order. Food was edible but lacked flavour, not presented well and some food was dry from been in the kitchen warmer for to long. Toilets were disgustingly dirty and the ceiling above us looked like it would fall on us at any minute. I would certainly NOT recommend Neelakash.

Lovely little place but did not enjoy the food, we started off with some starters, the portions were too small for 3 people, taste was 5/10, thought as we there now we might as well give them a try on mains. Sorry to say, but food was very bland and again portion sizes were too small. On top of that they charged us each to have chutneys, never have I ever had that before, we couldn’t stop laughing. Honestly I think me and my friends were better off staying at home and making the food ourselves. They were busy on the Saturday night, so understandably the service was slow. Waited over an hour for mains. Drinks were fine, no complaints there. We won’t be going again, if you don’t mind simple bland food then it’s worth a try. I love the fact that you knew which table it was and have the timings. Also I’ve never been charged for chutney before.

Went here on a recommendation from a friend. We opted for the buffet and were very disappointed. The buffet was in the back room of the restaurant, which was dark and dismal. There wasn’t much choice of food at all and what was there, was bland and overcooked. Even the Nan breads we ordered were burnt. The restaurant was empty when we got there and hardly anyone had buffet when they did arrive. Maybe food to order is better, but we won’t be going back to find out. It was quite expensive for the standard of the food too. All in all, one of the worst Indian restaurants we’ve been to.

The standard itinerary for a reunion - a few beers followed by a curry. My friends recommended this Indian restaurant to finish the evening. What a lovely meal! The menu was intriguing, a number of standard dishes but a few twists on the usual preparation and the list of chef specials was impressive. We all enjoyed our selections. The bright green colour of the spinach and coriander sauce was a little unusual but tasted great. My garlic chilli chicken was delicious. Attentive service in a modern, light and airy space. Very relaxing. I didn’t pay for my food (no, I didn’t do a runner!) so don’t know how much. But the pricing on the menu and wine list were all reasonable. If I’m in aware again, I will definitely revisit

Gets very busy and the food looked good, I say looked because we could only see what other people had been served, having ordered it was noticeable that they significantly prioritise takeaways over restaurant service, ended up leaving following an hour long wait for mains

Normal go to place for a great curry is the Ruby in Hertford but decided to go a little further afield this time. We made a great choice in choosing the Neelakash Restaurant. We all had different dishes and no one out of our party of six was disappointed. Food was well cooked, good portions and a very good service provided. Prices are probably a little higher then other restaurants we have tried and the beer on offer limited but would definitely revisit if I was in Ware looking for a good meal.

Service is very good. food is very delicious. Tawa garlic chili chicken, kali mirchi chicken and chicken pasanda is best.

Food is top notch, best in the area, had to wait a little bit longer when collecting but shows how nice it is. Elise and hammed and akmel were very professional behind the beer tap.

We were recommended to try this place and it didn’t disappoint. Delicious food and friendly staff, will definitely be coming again.

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times over the last four weeks. Lovely restaurant , very pleasant friendly staff and service , but I do find the food slightly on the bland side overcooked and overspiced It really doesn’t compare with other restaurants nearby in Hertford,

We booked a table for 12, it was set up and ready when we arrived. The welcome was warm and all the staff have excellent customer service skills. The food was excellent and the service FIRST CLASS ! We will be back, thank you. Tim.

This restaurant delivers everytime! The food is delicious and presented so nicely. Myself and my family have been coming to this restaurant many times over the years and I have never had a bad experience. From the minute you walk in the owner and his staff welcome you in to the restaurant in a warm and friendly Manor. The restaurant has recently been redecorated and looks modern and sophisticated. We were a party of 13 on this occasion and we were very well looked after and nothing was too much. I can't reccomend this place enough! If you're looking for delicious, authentic Indian cuisine, this restaurant is the place. Thank you Neelakash!

Service was slow and it's loud but the food was amazing

We didn't eat in the restaurant but had food delivered to us. Quick delivery. Good quality. If you are in the area and want a curry delivered, Neelakash is a very good choice.

Very spacious restaurant and we were the first customers, we were well cared for. Lacking was the fact the waiters did not understand English, I asked for a none alcoholic ginger beer and was given a none alcoholic beer, ok I took that one, we had to ask for the tables to be cleared still no other customers at this point. The ladies toilets were, not what I would say up dated, floor slippery, and not the sort of toilet I would use. Food well you have to pay for things usually with the meal, mint yogurt was mint sauce. It took 20 mins for our desert and 3 came out but the ice cream had to be asked for. Very busy restaurant, not sure how. The young English lady worked hard and very attentive when none of the waiters knew what we were wanting.shame really as first impression were good.

We have visited Neelakash several times and the food has always been nothing short of delicious. The food is authentic, flavourful and there is a dish for everyone! We particularly enjoy the prawn dishes and biryani. The staff have always been accommodating with our special requests and considerate about allergies. It is a family friendly restaurant and hygiene levels are great. They definitely go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and welcomed. Overall, lovely service, the food comes out within a reasonable amount of time and well priced for the portions you get. We wish we could visit more often!

I had the King Prawn Butter curry. The prawns were meaty but were unfortunately overcooked and tasteless. However, the sauce itself was very tasty. The staff also seemed nice. Unfortunately I suffered bad stomach cramps etc. afterwards and as I hadn't had anything else to eat that evening I feel it was caused by the meal. I subsequently checked their food safety rating and noted that it was 1/5. It looks like it's a popular restaurant and i've just been a bit unlucky, but I wouldn't risk going there again.

Our first trip back after a couple of years due to living away from the area for a while but we were delighted to find it's still the same special restaurant with lovely ambience, amazing food and attentive staff. Travelling with work and staying in different places means I get to eat at a lot of different Tandoori /Indian restaurants and this is one of the best I have been to. The owner manager is a true gentleman and strives so hard to ensure that customers have a lovely experience. It was a Birthday celebration and he went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. Even though we hadn't visited in over 2 years he remembered our specific drinks order and it's that kind of attentive service in addition to the great food that makes it such a special place. Now that we are back in the area it will certainly be one of our favourite restaurants to visit regularly.

After visiting the Neelakash for several years, I can honestly say that not only are they the best Indian cuisine within 10 miles of SG12, but by far the best service I have ever received at any eatery to date. The staff are always friendly, attentive, kind and understanding and very generous on birthdays! If you aren’t coming for the food, come for the people at least! Outstanding food, drink, and atmosphere!

Surprised by the reviews as we found the food very average. There’s better Indian restaurants in Ware.

The service we received was awful. We waited a hour and a half for our food to come out and it wasn't exceptionally busy. We had to ask for our plates to be cleared twice and once he cleared the table he then throw our cutlery down. Although the food was lovely the service was a big down fall.

We allways get a takeaway from neelakash probably once every two weeks. Lovely staff beautiful food.
