Ashoka in East Hertfordshire

I must say this is our go too takeaway. Beautiful food, always cooked perfectly, always delivered hot and always friendly delivery drivers. I’ve recommended Ashoka to lots of friends and strangers online and all have agreed in how lovely the food is. Thankyou again and we will see you next time! 🍛 🥰

Late but hot & tasty as always.

The meals were really tasty. I enjoyed the coconut flavour of the korma and the Rogan Josh went down well with my dad. The chicken in the coma was a little firmer than I was expecting and unfortunately the salad that came with the chicken tikka starter wasn’t great. It obviously wasn’t very fresh and had gone a little brown on most of the leaves. But overall, the meal was lovely.

Thoroughly enjoyed our food. Delivery took a while but it was a Saturday night and came when they said.

The food was excellent as always, however wasn't very happy about waiting an hour and a half for the food.

We love Ashoka!! We order from here all the time and they are always incredibly friendly and efficient. Had a mix up tonight with our order (in the end I think our fault, sorry!) but they went above and beyond to redeliver a new meal with some extras and kind messaging with happy birthday written all over the boxes for my dad's birthday. Super delicious. Will be ordering again soon, thank you so much!

Food was horrible and half filled tubs what a joke what a waste of money never again

As always the food here was second to none. The delivery was bang on time and everything was faultless. We wouldn't go anywhere else locally for a curry!

Food was delicious. Can recommend the house biryani with king prawn and tandoori chicken. it is spicy but comes with a delicious, buttery, mild vegetable curry.

First time using Ashoka. The food was tasty and well cooked. The only issue was that temperature of the food was not as I would have liked. But that's what a microwave is for.

Food has always been good from this restaurant but this time I must have received a hot version by mistake. I definitely ordered original as always and I was unable to eat it.

2 Poppadoms were missing from the order.

Food really tasty and hot. The onion bhajis normally have come with mint sauce before but not included this time. I would have ordered separately if I'd known this was not included anymore

For years the food has been great. Last few orders it’s been like eating molten lava. Not sure if the chef has changed or they just no longer like me

Placed an order to be delivered at 7:30pm and they had the cheek to deliver it at 7:29pm!!! Then upon eating the food, we found it better than restaurant standard in our own home! Also the delivery driver was extremely friendly! Definitely be ordering again from here!! Deliver driver disappeared before I could tip him!!!

My first time ordering from Ashoka and my delivery was accidentally delivered to the wrong address. I called the restaurant and explained that I haven’t received my order and they were very apologetic and re made my order fresh. The food was delicious and I will definitely be ordering again

Nice curry and delivered within an hour of ordering. I like the fact the App gives you an idea of when it will arrive. We don’t get take-out often but using Just Eat makes it so easy.

Usually have excellent meals from Ashoka, not sure if they’ve got a new chef in but quality of the food was terrible, such a shame.

Great speed but chilli paneer barely cooked- inedible! Murgh masala and naan nice but perhaps the whole package wasn’t worth £21 inc. £3 delivery!

Not sure if the chef has changed, but the dupiaza had large chunks of onion and pepper in which didn't feel cooked through enough like a nice sweet deep cooked onion should for this dish and also seemed to have a watered down sauce which was not that tomato in flavour. The chicken tikka balti is now more spicy, which it wasn't the many times we've had it before and my girlfriend couldn't eat it. Bit of a shame since we've ordered from there quite a few times.

I used to order regularly from this company but they must have changed the chief, the curry was what I can only describe as tasteless with chicken that was the worse I’ve ever had.

Yet again another great takeaway from Ashoka. I don't believe there has been a single time in the years I have lived nearby that I have had one bad takeaway, late delivery or anything to moan about. A great tasty meal, delivered exactly on time, I mean to the minute... Friendly and helpful at all times and I really enjoy ordering and enjoying the food from Ashoka. I must come in to the restaurant at some point! Keep up the good work!!

Stale popadoms, onion bhaji raw and gooey in the middle and tough chicken. Very disappointing, will not be using them again

** INCOMPETENCE AT ITS VERY BEST - AVOID THIS RESTAURANT ** Ashoka restaurant has been our go-to for many years for our takeaway Indian, but recent experiences have left a sour taste. On multiple occasions, items were missing from orders, notably on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day, two occasions when reliability matters most. Upon reaching out to the restaurant about the recurring issue, their response lacked concern, merely promising to send the missing items—which arrived 20 minutes later, cold. While mistakes are forgivable, the consistent errors and indifferent attitude speak to a level of incompetence that's hard to overlook. It's has been impossible to have an stress-free meal from Ashoka, and as of today they lose a loyal customer.

Our go to Indian! Never fails us and always satisfying. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I know places get busy, but I do think they should let people know what sort of a wait time they are in for, we waited just over two hours for our food and it also was cold when it arrived when I called after an hour and a half of waiting I wasn't offered anything for my inconvenience not even an apology not really good enough in my opinion....

Second time we have use this restaurant both time we had to chase the order will not be using them again food ok but past caring as it was so late

The onion Bahjis are the best I have ever had!!!! First time ordered from them Saturday and again tonight 😂, they are huge, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside….they are a meal alone!! I live off the beaten track and have to walk a few hundred meters to the nearest rd, Ashoka now leave it in my car and text me when delivered 👌. Great service and friendly team, delivered five minutes earlier than stated!! Good communication.

Food hot and tasty, except the onion bhaji which were really thick and had uncooked onions/ batter in the middle. Usually they are thinner and tender. Other than that, food and service were good
