The best restaurants serving Indian food in East of England

Wow. We went to friends for some food and ordered from A Taste Of India. I can honestly say the food was outstanding and the best Biryani Ive ever tasted. Simply packed with flavours and plenty of tilka as well. The food was waiting piping hot when we went to collect. Excellent service. Thanks for a great experience. We'll come into the restaurant next time.

Ordered of just eat, food was late chicken tikka was also wrong spoke to them and they said”nothing I can do now” after putting it the order notes what I wanted.

Al llegar nos llevaron a una mesa con no cubiertos. Un miembro del personal, literalmente tiró 8 cuchillos y tenedores en la mesa para establecer allí. No hay servilletas o cualquier otra cosa. Nos quedamos muy impresionados por el comportamiento grosero. Nos levantamos para ir al buffet y me dijeron a sentarse y que íbamos a ser traído entrante. Un poco de comunicación hubiera estado bien! El primer plato era dos cubos de pollo cebolla un duro correosos bhaji samosa y un pequeño. No me gusta la cebolla bhajis o samosas, así que cuando voy a un buffet es porque me gusta elegir lo que quiere comer. El buffet no era mejor. Fue limitada y la carne era duro y difícil. No volveremos muy pronto. No podía salir de allí lo suficientemente rápido.

I wish I could give this restaurant no stars DO NOT GO THERE AT ALL. Everything about this restaurant was bad the food service atmosphere. We decided to order 2 starters and because the food was so bad we decided to leave and go somewhere else however when we tried paying the bill they were rude and screaming at us because we didn’t order more food. They refused to give us the bill and when we tried paying the guy made up a number for us to pay. We got screamed at by them the food was disgusting so I would suggest you do not go there and go where you can get your moneys worth because this place is not it. Furthermore the whole time we were there they made us feel very uncomfortable by looking at us weirdly and secondly by forcing us to order food we are customers so it’s our choice what we want to eat. This place needs to be shut down!!!!!!!!

Fantastic takeaway for. Food is fantastic as always. Plus I got to enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant with a nice pint of cobra while I waited.

What a wonderful experience our group had this evening. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff were excellent and even offered to do a milder version of a Persian curry for one of us. The food was outstanding and beautifully presented. Adjacent parking is also an added bonus. We would wholeheartedly recommend Cam Spice and we will be back with our friends!

Little India is the best Indian restaurant in Halstead, confirmed by my taste buds! I've tried them all. Even though they don't deliver, I make the effort to go and collect, knowing it'll be worth it. Other restaurants just can't beat Little India! Their restaurant hospitality is also excellent, we've taken friends and family to dine in, and all have loved it. They serve Kingfisher beer on drought, as well as a non-alcoholic version when driving. We've discovered delicious new dishes, such as the Nepalese 'Kuka Co Co Paka', which my partner orders most times. The Chicken Tikka Masala / Mixed Grill Masala, and Chicken Passanda, are amazing and we regularly order. I was surprised to find Little India didn't have 4.5+ rating, so felt compelled to write a review. Keep up the good work, Little India!

Been here many times (definitely in the double figures) and still never had a bad experience in any way. It definitely deserves this 5 star review and more!

My husband and I have been eating here (dine in and takeaway) for over 15yrs. We’ve now moved out of Chelmsford but still come back here when we can and take our children who love it too. Visited tonight with my 10yo daughter. We had such a good meal, the most welcoming and friendly service, and felt thoroughly looked after throughout. Just love this place. Best Indian in Chelmsford.

Always great and friendly service

Great Indian restaurant in Bury St.Edmunds. We were a group of 11 with quite different choices. The service was excellent along with the food, which was taken to the table at the same time for everyone. The staff were very helpful whenever someone wasn't too sure what to have or what level of spiciness would suit them. Thoroughly recommend the restaurant.
