The Indian Grill in Maldon

Fabulous Indian restaurant. The food was excellent, the portions were very generous and the service was brilliant. Great atmosphere, thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

This is by far my favourite Indian king prawns are KING prawns don't get them anywhere else, food is always fresh, piping hot and absolutely delicious took friends as we always bang on about this restaurant they absolutely loved it and said the Naga was the best he's had.Thanks again for an amazing meal.Staff are awesome 👌 too.100% recommend. We decided to try here because I’d seen some great feedback on social media. We had prawn purée, onion bhaji and decided to try the main dish that said highly recommended on the menu. Husband had Jaipuri Lamb with peshwari naan. I had Prawn Jaipuri with mushroom rice. It was so good & a large portion. The service was friendly and well organised. At the end we ordered my son a Chicken jalfrezi to takeaway which he thoroughly enjoyed when we got home! We will return thank you.

Really bad doesn’t really do justice to describe it. Had around £45 worth of food, was a complete waste of money. All the new decor looks nice but bad service and food. They need to re think things over. Back to the local B.Nights.

We visited the place some months ago and were generally happy, especially with the food. There were some issues though so this time we avoided the cocktails! This review is an update. Once again, the food ordered was excellent, quality and quantity were very satisfactory. Since we were 4 there were a number of dishes to compare and nobody was disappointed. They kindly adjusted the “heat” in some mains to better suit and this worked well. They do very nice nan breads. We never made it to pudding…too full. This time service was faultless and we left the restaurant very happy about our evening. The prices were very reasonable. We still think the black/white theme is a bit bright for a restaurant. We think the room might look less clinical and more homely if the lighting was turned down and the different sections might be broken up a bit by the use of plants or even trellis. We will definitely return.

We have just had an extremely good meal with our family. All meals were delicious and well made. Drinks were great and all items are well priced. Would definitely return as I believe this is the best in the area. Definitely have a new local.

Had great expectations but was hugely disappointed. The service was bad, and expensive for what we had. Bad belly next day ! Recognised a few faces there from previous restaurants hoping they would look after us. Nothing. Back to Curry Nights for us.

I got a takeaway from here last night. The food was ok but £17.50 for a Chicken Tikka Dansak with pilau rice that I went to collect and paid cash, is far too expensive for ONE MEAL so I will be going elsewhere for my weekly curry in future!

The food is delicious, lovely decor and you feel very looked after. A fantastic meal out or yummy takeaway. Our new fave Indian. The Everest curry in particular is one of the best curries I’ve tried. Well recommended.

What an amazing find this was, a truly wonderful family run business with fantastic service, lovely atmosphere and the food was exquisite. Went there tonight with some great friends and had the most wonderful evening.

What a transformation, new management and new team, great food and good service, when out of there way to help me get in on my wheelchair, food so tasty, look forward to going back

Excellent food , prices are good for the amount you get . Portions are very generous Good service The revamp on this place is spot on Clean , modern looking and tastefully decorated.the staff are polite and attentive. Myself and my wife had an amazing meal there last night and will definitely return.

After hearing so many good comments on this place I thought I’d give it a try. My son who doesn’t like overly spicy food and is not too keen on coconut so a Korma was out of the question wanted something also so I suggested a chicken Biryani as in my experience these were quite mild so he had a chicken and I had lamb now I can handle a fair bit of heat but this one blew my face off so needless to say he ate hardly anything and to be honest nor did I. The whole meal cost £48 and 90% of it went in the bin.

They was very welcoming and was very professional. They took our order by double checked that we had everything that we wanted. We had a drink while we was waiting for our takeaway with a smile they open the door for us when we left when we got home we enjoyed our takeaway for what I paid. They were very generous with the portions. We highly recommend this place and we have found a new takeaway. So well done Indian Grill. Will see you again soon.

We had a lovely meal at the Indian grill last night, 5 of us went for a friends birthday and we were not disappointed. The staff and managers were all really attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and everyone complimented the portion sizes and flavours. I had chicken tikka main, keema rice Bombay potato and they were all cooked to perfection. My friends had an array of dishes of which I cannot remember but they all really enjoyed them! We will definitely return here soon!

The decor in this recently refurbished place is modern, bright and grey…possibly too grey? Maybe the bare planters might have some greenery put in them to break it up a bit? It appeared clean, but we didn’t visit the toilets so can’t comment on that...
