Wheelers Tandoori in Castle Point

Went and picked up a takeaway which was ordered for 7pm, didn't walk out of there until 7.50! Left waiting for food for nearly an hour, barely an apology and when I requested to speak with management, no one called me as they had promised. Food was average at best (one dish was a chefs special) - hardly worth the wait and several items were cold such onion bhaji and rice. Won't be returning.

Amazing food such vibrant colours never ordered from here before was recommended by a friend and have to say seriously didn’t disappoint the food was so flavourful arrived hot great portion size just brilliant all over would recommend to anyone

Haven't used this place for many years but heard they had got better so thought we'd give them a try. Food was really nice but arrived a little colder than expected considering they are not far away.

Lamb kori - lamb a little tough but flavour nice. The thali was lovely, best masala had in a long time.

The food was delicious and good value for money. We also tried the new tandoori pizza which was really tasty

Sadly disappointing. Food was tepid on arrival and all dishes were bland and quite flavourless.

Honestly cannot even compare this food to all other Indians in the area it is second to none the most authentic tasting , rich in flavour , lots of meat in every dish , staff and service are impeccable , you have to try wheelers for sit in or take away you won’t be disappointed 👌🏼

Had a cheeky Friday night meal at wheelers everything was very nice owner was very nice and friendly highly recommend I'd also like to point out that if you look at the reviews that all the recent ones are 5 star if this was a new business 6 months ago it would have a 5 star rating give the new owner some credit for the changes he's made.

My new favourite takeaway. By far the best Indian around from benfleet to Leigh.! Food outstanding. Bit pricey but well worth it.

As always the Tikka was amazing but this was the 1st ever bad experience with the butter chicken, it didn’t taste like it normally does and was very curry powder flavour and the wrong colour, such a shame as we order from here all the time but this won’t stop us ordering again just maybe another dish next time

First time we have eaten here and I’m sure it will not be the last. Lovely staff and great food. After talking to the staff about my allergy, they discussed the ingredients and gave me a complete allergen menu to give me peace of mind before placing my order, never had that level of service in any other Indian restaurant! The meat samosas were lovely and spicy. The keema naan was the best we’ve ever had, the curries and all the other dishes were really nice too. Highly recommend.

I recently ordered a Chicken Danzak, and requested it not be too hot. It was so delicious, it had a nice thick sweet and sour sauce and lots of chicken. I would definitely recommend these guys.

Our normal go to place for takeout but last time we collected our food from a different restaurant so haven’t had a indian for a while they have had a refit so thought we’d go back they have a great online ordering system which worked 100% our food was ready on time and exactly as ordered guy behind counter was great and food was even better we will return

Came here for my birthday with my partner and son. Restaurant was clean and fresh staff were welcoming and so friendly food was superb and plentiful. Was offered a free dessert as it was my birthday. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return

When I ordered it said that side dishes were 2 for price of 1 and deducted bombay potatoes from the bill. I pressed order and pay and the cost of them was back on! I've paid for something you said was free? I phoned restaurant and they said I have to speak with you? I've tried through the app without success. Can I have refund please?

10 minutes late and one dish was missing. To be fair they apologised and rectified it really quickly.

We have used Wheelers for over 20 years. When they closed for refurbishment we couldn't find a takeaway that we liked. The various ones we tried served very oily/greasy food which we had never had from Wheelers. We are delighted they have reopened and our first meal from their new menu didn't disappoint at all. We would definitely recommend them. Definitely our go to sit in and takeaway restaurant!!

We went here yesterday which was the first time we had been back since the refurbishment, the food was good before and always was good value in comparison to the other indian restaurants in the area but this time the food was amazing! It was such a lovely meal really was the best curry we have had in a long time. Service is great too they are really friendly . Me and my husband loved it- best salmon tikka masala ever!

Really nice friendly service, very cheap compared to our other local restaurant. the best curry I have had this year in 2024 for sure. Really nice beer aswell . They have Bombay Bicycle IPA which is delicious and Kingfisher lager on tap! Great value for money and very nice curry, Naan breads are the best here! They do Indian pizzas too !

Not very good at all. All of the meat is burnt and even the sagg aloo tasted burnt. The Prawn puree is soggy very disappointing

Food was excellent, delivery was a bit of a curfuffel. Recently reopened following an extensive refurbishment. So expected some confusion. Would definitely recommend the food though!!

Original delivery time 18.05 to18.25. I received an update enjoy your food on the app I would but my food wasn’t that time 18.40 delivered. Food when arrived needed to go in oven for 10 minuets to throughly heat up. Not happy at all .

Pre ordered for delivery when restaurant opened. delivery was estimated at 17.50pm. Called restaurant at 18.25pm and was told they were short on drivers. food arrived at 18.40pm. Food was hot and very tasty like I remember from a previous order. I will order again. The late delivery was only an issue as it was getting late for my kids to eat.

Waited over two hours for our food to be delivered. Called restaurant after two hours and they hadn’t even started cooking it. 30 minutes earlier I received a text saying it was out for delivery. I wonder how long it would have actually taken had I not called two hours after ordering.

I Rang restaurant multiple times till I finally got a response saying I could collect it otherwise I have to wait I will not be using this restaurant again there service was appalling and the food was cold.

Guys you didn’t communicate with me at all and then you turn up after I leave a voicemail saying the delivery is too late. I’m not happy guys I didn’t eat the food.

Food was not good called to tell the restaurant and they offered to send out another dish which was just as poor. Was the first time we tried this restaurant needless to say we won’t order from them again.

Food was not very nice at all naan bread absolutely greasy and not cooked still soggy chicken tikka starter completely over cooked onion Bhaji looks like it’s been ran over and chicken in korma is really dry definitely won’t be ordering from here again very disappointed!!
