Had a takeaway. Tasted more like a ready meal from a supermarket. Curry was bland and powdery. Would not recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous meal the food was delicious. The staff were fantastic so helpful,polite and efficient but also friendly.

Zero atmosphere, lighting terrible , decor terrible , food was nothing special and took an age to be served , when it arrived it’s cold / Luke warm at best , waitors as miserable as sin , To top our experience of there was a huge hole in the floor that was a health hazard …..avoid this place at all costs

Went to the restaurant on Christmas Eve night not very busy waiter took our order for drinks quarter of a hour went by no drinks so we walked out

I took my family here for my birthday. Was greeted by Sam and Sal, Very freindly people and a nice atmosphere. Restaurant not full but with approx 5 tables full there was a nice warm atmosphere. Food came up hot, colourful and well presented and full of flavour. Special mention to Abdul and the chefs. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back.

Really enjoyed our meal here the food was very tasty and a little different with spice and in overall taste. The Masala was very good as was the chicken katmondo. The Sag side dish was lovely. The wine list was varied and we enjoyed a nice Malbec. The waiter was friendly if a little nervous but the service was efficient. The place wasn’t too busy for a weekday evening but it was steady. Lots of takeaways being ordered. The restaurant is deceiving larger than anticipated and seating is nicely laid out. We couldn’t help notice some plaster bubbles on the wall and an area near the bar that needs a bit of painting as it lets the rest down. Overall it was about the food and this definitely was an experience worth the taxi fare. We would go again and recommend.

Excellent value, cheeky night out Indian. Food is very tasty and reasonably priced. Not the place for a romantic meal, as its a bit stark and bright, more like a cafe. But for a no fuss ,just in from work,let's pop out for something to eat, it's perfect.

On their website, they state 20% discount on collection orders over £10 - mine amounted to £11.90 - but NO discount was offered. Food was average and I have had a lot better. Sadly, on principle, I will not be returning there until they amend their website deleting the '20%' discount for collection.

Very Welcoming Staff, The Atmosphere Was Nice, Aesthetically Furnished, Food Was Delicious, Definitely Order The Duck or the Masala, Food Was Nice And Hot When It Came, Quick Service, Very Polite Waiter, Definitely Coming Back Here.

Great service, food was banging, recommend the katmando chicken and the tandoori king prawn masala.

Ordered a takeaway from here in a Saturday night. Delivery arrived within the allocated time slot (all be it right to the back end of it). Food was ok. Pretty much same as most other Indian takeaways around here. Not as nice as some but better than the worst. Wouldn’t make me come away from my usual Indian takeaway but do like to try others every now and then. But this one I will leave for a while now.

My wife and I decided to give Wild Ducks a look for nostalgia sake really. Previously this building housed The Mayflower and before that The Poona, both indian restaurants where we, our son and my in laws were regulars for many years. Everything about Wild Ducks was excellent. We were welcomed and attended to by a very friendly and efficient waiter. Our food was delicious. I plumped for Chicken Patia with boiled rice, Sag Paneer and a chapati and my wife went for chicken bhuna and a garlic nan. The chicken was very tender and it's accompanying sauce was very tasty, among the best I have had. The Sag Paneer was also very nice and both dishes were of a decent size. My wife also was complimentary about her food. I had no room for dessert, but it didn't stop my wife and again she was highly impressed. Our bill, for two which included a couple of drinks each, 2 poppadoms and condiments each and the aforementioned dishes was a very reasonable £46. We will be back, everything about the place was delightful, including the decor and Hadleigh has a new quality eatery amongst its neighborhood.

Fabulous little restaurant with excellent food and friendly staff. The complementary post meal digestif is a nice touch! Very old school.!

Lovely place to eat out and the owner and his son are lovely will definitely be coming back.

Read to the bottom as been updated Eaten at many Indians over the years, tried this place tonight and hands down the very best we've been too..food was delicious, staff very pleasant and helpful, gave some recommendations for meals, left with no room for any more, great price for 4 of us with alcohol, if could give 6 stars I would. 10/10 for food and service. Would highly reccomended a visit. Million times better then mall road. Plenty to choose from on the menu. Had a take away week after was dissapointing.....if there's no consistency with the levels of food, guess this will be another that dissapears sooner rather them later

Incredible staff and amazing decor. Greeted with warmth and accommodated our requests. The menu was incredibly diverse and we were able to get something for everyone. We had a very big group and we could see the staff stressing out but we told them it’s okay take their time but the food still came out really quickly and the owner and son were just spot on with their service. Amazing food. Amazing staff. Amazing place. A little gem tucked away in southern. Definitely a go to place. !!!!!!

Went with a big group, they were very welcoming and friendly, the food here is very good for the price, I'm surprised of the quality of food for the price, ridiculously good, a must visit for anyone in the area, they are 10/10.

Quiet evening so not much atmosphere, even so had to ask for drinks, couldn't really fault anything.

First impression from outside was cold and empty, walked in and fabulously surprised, lovely greeting from the staff, and beautiful hand painted murals on the walls which you could see from outside. The food was delicious, fresh and not greasy at all, perfect. The serving staff were attentive but not invasive. Thank you Wild Ducks

I live in London around Brick Lane area where many Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants, friend invited me for a special occasion and He chooses this Wild Duck restaurant for our dinner ! I left this restaurant with 5 stars! Staff are friendly and the foods so good! ⭐️ The owner was there and talked to us, feel really welcoming ! I do recommend this place and if I’m in this area, I would love to come again to Visit ! Thank again to make our Day ! 🙏🥂

four of us dined at this newly opened restaurant called wild ducks formerly the mayflower. we had poppadom's to start as did our companions, we skipped a starter our friends had prawns on puri which they rated as very good we had chicken tikka Pathia...

We went for the Sunday Buffet of a mixed starter, main course and either a rice or Nan bread for £12.95 and it was delicious My main of chicken Kora was full of flavour with lovely fresh rice and Nan breads - others had tikka...

Came in on a Tuesday and ate mostly veggie (pumpkin and okra with garlic, Bombay aloo and aubergine and aloo) while my partner had a korma and peshwari naan. We were both satisfied, came out fresh, the staff were kind and attentive. Was amazed by the hand painted murals.

Very welcoming staff, great value for money and a range of dishes to suit all tastes. The duck and vegetarian dishes were a nice surprise alongside the more traditional Indian go-to’s. Don’t miss out on a visit to Wild Ducks!

No stars for atmosphere but only because we haven't eaten in yet. We have used Wild ducks a few times now and they are great! They've not been there long but made a lasting impression already. Easy to talk to and explain what you'd like and nothing is too much trouble! They say to never recommend food or wine, but I highly recommend Wild Ducks!

The staff made you feel very welcome. Food was cooked really nice. Not greasy at all. The selection on menu was good. I tried a new vegetable dish consisting of pumpkin which I've not seen anywhere else. It was really delicious 😋. Very clean inside and newly decorated . Highly recommend. This place needs customers.... Please give it a try. X

Extremely friendly service with good food. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the lamb chops were slightly underseasoned and the dhansak was just a little bit too mild

I was a bit sceptical at first since it was my first time here but they did not disappoint!! Customer service was amazing, I was greeted nicely and seated. The food itself was brilliant, it was presented well and I could tell it was freshly made. I felt well catered to and it was obvious how much they care about providing good food and service to the customers. Definitely recommend!! I am one of the regular customers now!

the poppadoms were the only good things about this place. both curries had absolutely no flavour, tasted like water and they both tasted the same. the cheese in the sag paneer was hard? and the bombay aloo also had no flavour. i had a stuffed paratha which tasted like a lukewarm normal paratha. and the pina colada had the taste and texture of normal pineapple juice. honestly i couldn’t finish my meal. we asked for the bill and got given a deserts menu, we asked for the bill again and they took about 20 minutes and gave me and my boyfriend a coffee? we had to go up to the counter and get them to come over so we had to pay the bill. the worst indian i’ve ever had and we will not be coming back.

Very disappointed tonight we was not offered a drink on the house but a table of lads got offered a drink. The week before we was offered a drink but tonight we wasn’t even though we spent near on 100pds. We won’t be using this again Eddie

Husband and I went to the new Indian in Hadleigh The Wild Ducks had Sunday lunch excellent food and service.We have seen it change in the last 40years but the new owners have made it the best ever. I have given 5 Stars ⭐️

Been here twice in a week and the service has been amazing! It’s family friendly or perfect for work meals. The food has been amazing and at the perfect temperature on bringing it to the table 1000% recommend!!!!! You won’t be disappointed

The wild duck has only opened three days ago staff was very disorganised had to wait for drinks order off food ect but when food arrived lovely and fresh hot everything we ordered was lovely The restaurant needed a more warth feeling to light more like a cafe but early days give it a chance please really nice
