The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

This is our favourite restaurant as the food quality is first class and reliably great.

Tikka Massala too spicy and watery for my taste.

No free papad basket. Driver couldn’t care less about the delivery code.

The food was cold. There were no peppers in the Shahi Murgh Tandoori and it was much hotter than usual.

An amazing place to eat. I have been here a number of times with my wife and in bigger groups too. Amazing food, incredible service and atmosphere. One of my favourite places to eat in Portsmouth.

To be honest it was very poor went with my partner a bigger party came in after us and the eye contact went straight to the larger party didn’t enjoy at all

Visited as a family group of 8 and were made most welcome. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were very friendly. Excellent value for money. The restaurant is not licenced but you are welcome to take your own alcoholic drinks which keeps the price down. We will certainly visit again.

Excellent service and food in a traditional old style Indian restaurant. Beats all the trendy modern ones hands down. The wine list was also very good, including surprisingly Chablis at moderate prices
