Minster Tandoori in Thanet

This restaurant used to be my local over 12 years ago and was great then. Returned recently whilst visiting family and it still lives up to its previous standard. Food and service were superb. Extremely friendly and a great atmosphere enhance the overall dining experience. First class flavours make this a great curry house. Hope to visit again soon.

Just had an amazing takeaway delivered from JustEat. The food was piping hot & fresh. The sauces were thick and the meat was very tender. Would highly recommend!

Me and my partner ate here the other night and we cannot fault the food or the staff, we had a lovely meal with a couple of drinks and we will definitely be going back.

This is takeaway review Today is my son's 14th birthday and he loves curry but never had an authentic one made in an authentic way so I decided to treat him I ordered pilau rice Chicken madras Butter chicken ( madras hot) Onion bhajis Poppadoms Pilau was lovely really aromatic and clearly freshly cooked and there was plenty of it The chicken madras was delicious tender juicy chicken which had definitely been marinaded for ages as it had soaked up all the flavour and served in that stunning red sauce I was able to taste every ingredient my son's face lit up with every spoonful . The butter chicken madras hot .. sumptuous tender sweet hot everything you want from a butter chicken and with hot green chillies in the sauce it kept delivering flavour the more you continued to eat Onion bhajis my son has only ever tried the cold storm bought time so he was elated when he saw 4 huge bhajis in the tub. The silence was broken. Y the crunch from them crispy delicacies my son said it's like the shop one but 110 times better And to top it off a moon sized light and crispy poppadom to scoop it all in with I'm stuffed my son's stuffed with a huge smile on his face Thank you for a great introduction to Indian food for my son and for a great dinner all round Ps it arrived in a good time and the man was super polite and very well presented probably the smartest delivery driver I've ever seen

Went at 5pm when just open for evening. Been going here for 30 years. Chapati was good but no sauce/pickle. Main courses very tasty. We will be back. Pub across road has good wine and 0% Guinness is picking up.

Food was barely warm and the quality was not good very greasy it was delivered very quickly which means it wasn’t cooked to order the standards at this restaurant have clearly gone down

The service was good however the expectations of food slightly didn’t meet as it was more likely made for English people. No spicy, I was specifically looking for authentic Asian/Indian food. The place and where it located was fair though based on the regular customer’s. We drove 40 minutes just to reach here looking at google map while returning from Dover.

We have eaten here quite a few times now and we have always had a lovely dining experience. Not sure what has happened guys but the food was dry and no flavour whatsoever. The service was extremely poor and very unwelcoming. Whatever has happened guys you need to sort it out quickly as the people on the table next to us was also not happy with the food. If you think charging £12.95 for a small potion of curry containing 5 small pieces of chicken is acceptable and hardy any sauce, well you are so wrong. Get a grip guys because you are much better than what we experienced tonight.

Amazing food and such a great selection to choose from, we had a large party and everything came out at the same time, the waiter had a great sense of humor too

Not my local but always worth the drive. Fabulous food with a menu full of your favourites and enough extra dishes to keep the connoisseur of the curry paying attention!! Add in a couple of cold Cobras and friendly attentive service and you’ll have a fantastic dinner out!! 5*

Food was delish! Driver had trouble finding my air bnb but called for help and delivered on time definitely worth ordering!!

collected the order from here food was hot and all in order. it was a large order I did for my friend's and I. food was tasty but my meal was a bit dry for my taste. but overall the food was food. maybe give some freebies though when the amount is alot would have been a nice touch. overall good food.

Both the starters were cold, this put us on the wrong foot straight away. The onion bhaji then becomes more of a tastless doorstop. The meat kebab starter because it was cold was truly awful and I refused to eat it. I had a lamb jalfrezi, it was ok, covered in onions but the meat was chewy. I was expecting better after all the reviews, but would be very reluctant to use these again. £40 down the drain in my opinion.....I am really not happy

The lamb was quite tough. too many onions for my taste but a tasty sauce and the potatoes were delicious.

This was recommended to me and I was not disappointed. Food was delivered bang in time and all was still piping hot. Everything was absolutely perfect. Only complaint is the food was so good I ate the lot so didn’t have left overs for the next day!! Will definitely be using this for my regular take away delivery in future.

Nice and clean restaurant, staff are welcoming when walking into the restaurant but that soon changed once it came to ordering food. They are mostly clueless about their own menu, food that tastes worse than ready meals (everything tasted bland and like a leftover meal but also who would add lentils in chicken curry) and the attitude of owner/manager changed once there were complaints about the food, there were other customers too who were not happy with the food and the owner/manager could not handle constructive feedback.

The restaurant dropped leaflets through our door during the pandemic offering delivery and we were happy to support them and have used them since. This evening I was informed (in an abrasive manner) that they no longer deliver to us at week ends. Seems rather one sided, when they needed support they asked for it and got it but are happy to let customers down when they don’t. £70 on its way to another restaurant.

Went here for dinner with a friend and was very disappointed. The popadoms and the rice were the only things we ate that were of any quality. The “Platter” we had for a starter consisted of four cubes of tough meat, a soggy samosa, cold kebab and onion barji which could have come from the freezer section of any budget supermarket. We ordered a lamb dish which was horrible tough mutton and a chicken dish which although had a tasty sauce the chicken was dry to death. Naan bread was under cooked and almost raw. Nothing good to say about this place. It wasn’t even busy so no idea why it was soo bad.

Absolutely awful mixed platter for 2 was like a piece of baby food , it was just awful as for the rest I’m not using the words I want to use on here , just never order from them n I’m only 2 mins away and ordered at opening time , it was defo yesterday food

All was tasty except the lamb in the bhuna, which was awfully chewy.

Had a beautiful feel last night, had a few dishes and one of them being ‘chilli green curry which was unbelievable, so delicious. Best curry house!

Our pilau rice was missing so I called the restaurant and they said I could be refunded for the rice through just eat but no refund has been sent. The food that did arrive was great.

Unusual to find an Indian restaurant that strays off the beaten path and does it so well. For starters the delicious pea soup. Mid, slightly creamy but with a nice background flavour of spices. The crab on puri, what a delight and packed with crab. For main I tried something different for once, the lamb Sikandari. So glad that I did. Like a bhuna, but with a bit more kick. All highly recommended!

The best curry I have ever had! Vindaloo and keema rice, spot on, hot and flavoursome. I've only had takeaways so far and look forward to dining in the restaurant soon. Keep up the the great work.

Nice restaurant but mid week very quiet. Standard menu and a little pricey bearing in mind it's location. Bank on £80 - £90 for a meal for 2 with drinks. Overall, a nice evening

ordered a small meal for the family we had prawn korma and tandoori chicken. It was nice and hot, full flavoured and filing!

the food was very bland and not too the expected standard and the customer service was poor as no nan breads with order and this and the poor quality of food which was also cold was a waste of money!this place clearly not what it once was sadly

All good but we ordered 2 x Railway Beef and we received 2 x Railway Chicken (I have kept the handwritten note that says chicken for the chef) It was really nice - we know Minster Tandoori people and they are great people - always superb food - it's just this time we had the wrong superb food !!

On the whole a very good meal with the exception of the naan bread far to thick and consequently not cooked the whole way through a shame to let a simple thing spoil the otherwise good fare .

Been here many times over the past 25 years, food is always very good service is excellent very clean and tidy relatively small restaurant with an extremely friendly atmosphere. Good selection on the menu as well as a good range of drinks prices are good offering fantastic value for money.

The worst curry restaurant I have ever eaten at. Food had no flavour, not one bit of it. Meat so overcooked it was chewy and difficult to Swallow. The mushroom rice had oil at the bottom of its dish. Never going there again.

This was the first time we had ordered from here. The food was excellent. But it arrived an hour late. I phoned the restarutant twice and the staff on each occasion were very polite and assured me t he food was on its way. The delivery driver was very polite and said the traffic was bad. But it would be better to say that it would arrive later at times when traffic is an issue. The food was very good indeed and for that reason we will order again, but hope the food will arrive on time.

My first meal from Minister Tandoori was the absolute best ive ever had. I will not order from any other Indian takeaway ever again. The fabulous food is innovative and the chef should be recommended to be Michelin standard.

Very good service my partner has a nut allergy and we had a phone call to confirm what had been written on the notes! Very good food infact this isn’t my normal go to but it may be from now on!
