Cold (Everything ) and no Peshwari Naan Bread delivered

Was disappointed this time food wasnt hot. The nann was hard like the fiid had been sitting there for a while

Unfortunately the service was very slow the tables were very cramped all of which we could of dealt with ! but the food was less than standard the butter chicken was a korma recipe full of coconut the vegetable samosa was oily and again inedible the mint raita was not freshly made just out of a jar the whole experience was not good this is not authentic Indian food it’s literally supermarket food served in a restaurant

Food delivered early piping hot and delicious the only down was the vegetable curry which was more like onion and potato with some cabbage and he’d very little flavour

I can't really fault them, they're definitely trying. However it was literally impossible to distinguish between butter chicken and a korma other than the colour. Nothing but coconut - which is a real shame. The chicken biryani was ok, I've definitely had better. It was lacking flavour if im being perfectly honest. Hyderabad biryani knocks this out of the water. I'll give this place another chance but won't be ordering any of the above again. The best part of the meal was the samosas and the naan bread.

My Wife and I recently had a lovely Indian meal at this restaurant. The service was excellent and the meals we had on top of the starters were lovely. My Wife had the Prawn Bhuna and I had the Lamb Bhuna. Both of these were plentiful in the portions. They both were better than our local Indian restaurant. We would highly recommend that you have a meal at this restaurant if you either live in Birchington or are staying in the area on a visit.

Mostly good, but the saag aloo didn’t contain any spinach which was a real shame.

First visit whilst on holiday. All the food was very generous and nice chunks of meat. Prices are very reasonable and we only waited 20mins as it was being made. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

If you haven’t had a takeaway from here don't hesitate. The meals we had delivered were super tasty, of good quality and plentiful, and in my view the best value for money Indian takeaway we've had for a long time.

not order curry from here in a long time it's always been my favourite however tonight my teacom masala the chicken was dry the sauce was brown normally it's a nice bright orange red color and taste delicious tonight's food was of a very low standard

Never sat inside to eat but I always get my takeaways from here the staff are super lovely and accommodating and good is dam good.

The food wasn’t hot but this is the risk you take having a takeaway but it didn’t detract from the flavour it was delicious

Terrible experience. Waited hours for food that wasn’t edible. No apology from Ali the owner would not return if you paid me too. Ordered a take away previously turned up 90 minutes late stone cold.

Ordered a take away. Had a prawn biryanni which was very poor, only 6 prawns in the entire dish. Ordered popadoms with dips very unhappy with the quality of the dips. No lime chilli pickle or mango chutney supplied. Food wss not hot and was very dry. Probably the worst indian meal i have ever eaten and would not recommend buying a take away from this restaursnt.

We had 3 dishes consisting of a Balti, Curry and Madras, chicken and sauces were cooked spot on. We will be coming back for sure, highly recommended a visit to this restaurant 👌 🍻

Ordered a couple dishes to take away tonight. Really disappointed as when we eat in it is fantastic food. The chicken was dry and seemed left over and the Bombay aloo potatoes cold and partly hard. We certainly won't order take away again. Wondering if was cos we ordered early before official open times and from day before

The experience was very good. We were seated in time and the first bits and drinks were served right away. We enjoyed the food, which was quite tasty and warm, helped by the hot plates they provided at time of serving the main meal. I had read the reviews here and was a bit concerned, but on our experience everything was good. If you order anything with chilli 🌶️ on it, be careful. I ate a whole one thinking it was a green bean and it was quite hot 🥵😊😊 I will go there again in the future.

A classic old skool indian - it is tastey good food hot plates and does what is says on the tin!. I work and travel in India and was very skeptical about this place from the front but don't be put off out back is a british style indian restaurant. They serve classic dishes and it was busy on Saturday night. The peshwari nan was delicious Channa Dhal excellent and sag paneer delicious! This is local ..it aint Dishoom or Mogli...its a local dependable classic indian that seems to be doing what you need on a Saturday night ! Great service . Thank you .

Butter chicken and lamb pasanda. Never the spiciest of dishes but the chicken especially was watery and tasteless. The lamb was overly sweet. Bombay aloo was just plain oily potatoes. No spice or flavour. Naan was stodgy. Rice ok. Will not use again

I had King prawn curry and Tandoori salmon, And they were both delicious, very flavoursome! I shall certainly be returning to this restaurant.

A bland and disappointing food experience for 2. Mains: tandoori chicken was average. The lamb Mirchi Ghust (with very hot spices and green chillies ) was not at all ‘hot’ as indicated - the sauce was tasty but lacking a “kick” (not as in vindaloo hot). The staple vegetable sides (bhindi, sag aloo and tarka dhal) lacking In basic seasoning, were simply tasteless. We had not had an Indian meal from Tandoori Nite for a very long time and this meal was far from the “treat” anticipated by our hungry taste buds.

Luvly curry restaurant have been a few times always great food and attentive staff and good location good Irish coffees

Oh Dear. I like to see myself as a bit of a dust bin, eat anything and usually happy. However... I ordered a large delivery for my family as a treat. Ordered at 5.30pm for 7pm. Turned up at 8pm, cold!!! If I wanted a microwave curry I'd have gone to sainsbury! Probably would have taste better to be honest. No one enjoyed their meal, poor quality and small portions. Even the rice.4 king prawns in the King prawn patia £11.50, thanks for that. Worst service and indian food I've had. Never again.

Had a nice meal here last night, but my father in law had the Mirchi Gohst (lamb) dish and had really bad food poisoning. Was really feeling rough. Everyone else seemed to be unscathed, but he's been sick as a dog. I'm sceptical about lamb in some restaurants, but my wife had the lamb shank and was fine. I personally would just avoid the lamb dishes.

Our local favourite restaurant, being going there for years. Great menu, attentive staff and good value for money. Recommend the Tandoori Mixed Grill and mushroom rice, old favourites like the lamb Madras are super but be prepared to wait a bit longer which is fine, while they work the magic!

This restaurant used to be lovely but has unfortunately gone downhill. Chicken was dry and chewy, vegetable samosas were very bland- thoroughly disappointed as use to be our favourite Indian

I'm staying nearby on business and used this Indian restaurant. Service was excellent, food was very good, ambience was comfortable and prices reasonable. I'll definitely be back when work brings me back here.

This place is a solid Indian. Had the vindaloo which was very good alongside a chicken madras and plain naan. Along with drinks and rice price came to £36 for two people

I come across this restaurant while visiting Birchington a few weeks ago, it’s got to be one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had, the food was cooked fresh and tasted amazing and it was also excellent value for money and the staff were also friendly also the only bad point was when we paid the bill I said to the young girl keep the £10 tip her reply was we don’t get the tips which is a bit wrong but apart from that it’s a lovely meal

Mediocre. Very stark lighting was my first thought, very clinical. No music, no atmosphere. Chutneys were not freshly made, which isn't a bad thing, but with competition doing things better, perhaps they could think about small things like that. Charisma.....none, all staff looked fed up. The food was hot but all the dishes were the same colour 😕 . It wasn't bad but wasn't great. Think, tbh we have been spoilt with modern Indian restaurants, who don't use ghee and everything is prepared from scratch. I suppose a good old fashioned Indian restaurant if you're not looking for an atmosphere or a change of menu.

Has a take away this evening and it was dreadful! All I could taste was sugar! Yuck! The Tarka Dal was slush, the ish mushroom dish flavourless. Worst take away curry I’ve ever had!

Im a regular here, sadly the tikka was anaemic, small & not on a hot sizzling dish as it usually is..they took it away assuming to be replaced by a more appetising starter. Sat for 15-20 mins. No sign of any food. So we left! 😔

Consistently the best Indian restaurant in the area of thanet, been here 50 times over the last 10 years and never have any complaints or heard anything bad, might have to wait for your food a little bit longer, if busy but the food is excellent and best tikka masala in Kent, prawns have down sized though, which is a shame if king prawns, these were not unfortunately, but still a nice meal.

Recommended by our Air B&B host..... My king prawn pathia was good, my wife's Chicken tikka dansak however gave her severe food poisoning, she has been very ill for 2 days and we had to cut short our break and come home.

This is probably the best Indian food that I've ever eaten anywhere period. The lamb dishes are outstanding and a speciality at this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious(faultless really) The chefs are obviously experts in their craft. It's a very pleasant restaurant, comfortable and relaxing.The staff are always friendly, polite , helpful and welcoming too. Spent a lovely afternoon in Thanet at the seaside on Saturday the 25th of September and then finished the evening off here. It was a great end to a lovely day!

Not what I hoped for I have read the reviews of this restaurant and consequently was hoping for a tasty meal for one. The restaurant that we normally use is closed on a Monday. So decided to give this one a try. in my opinion it really was tasteless. So much so, that I ate about a quarter and binned the rest. Such a shame as wanted to find another decent Indian restaurant

Me and my family ordered chicken palak and lamb tiki with rice. It was our first order, we loved it. The rice was amazing, the salad was very tasty, the main dish taste like home made food. Large portion and well packed. Good value for money. I have tried Mother India , kebab mahal and some other Indian restaurants. Tandoori Nite is "The best Indian restaurant and takeaway in Edinburgh ". Definitely I'll order again.

Take away collection or delivery atm obviously. Excellent food as always. Ready on time and friendly service. Hopefully be able to dine in again asap.

I thought I’d found a little gem when I first reviewed this place 3 years ago. Had lots of takeaways from here and whilst some have not been as great as others, never really found anything to complain about until our last order. We ordered our meal and was so looking forward to it. Got home dished up our food to see it was all the same colour. Starting eating and I couldn’t manage to eat it. Food was awful. I wanted to take it back but my other half said let’s just walk with our feet. I had cheese and crackers instead. Not the cheapest food nor the nicest anymore. So disappointed. Feels like you’ve stopped caring. All dishes looked like they were from the same batch in colour and texture yet they were supposedly different dishes. No bread with prawn puri that was even the same colour as the various curries. Food was just vile.

The food is lovely and the staff well you can't fault them . They make u feel welcome. Would recommend them to anyone enjoys agood night out

Lovely curry. Opted for take away and the service was good, order taken and food collected in 20 minutes and food was hot. Cooked well and tasted great - what more can you ask, got a free poppadom too, bonus!

Main course was very good but was disappointed with the portion size of the mixed kebab starter. Seating is good with only alternate tables in service.

Food was absolutely amazing melted in your mouth, we was put off by all the little flies that kept flying around our food not sure where they were coming from bit apart from that it was lovely staff were so polite.

Good Food. Visited on early evening in bank holiday Monday, six of us. Food served in good time and was nice. Service really good and the staff attentive. Little query regarding the bill that was sorted very quickly. Recommended.

My family and I dined on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was very quiet but it's not a very large room so didn't feel empty. The furnishings are basic however the food was superb, my daughter had the tandoori and I had a lovely curry. Great service from staff and great value. Would highly recommend if you're in the area.

So when we pointed out that the dishes were as sweet as jam, honey or cake icing, tasting of nothing but sugar, the waiter first lied that Chicken Tikka Masala, Sag Paneer, Lamb Pasanda, Coconut Rice and even Garlic Naan were all supposed to be sweet. Then suddenly he blamed us for not knowing that Indian food in England is nothing like the authentic cuisine. Add this to the fact that the staff don't wear masks but lean over you when speaking; they charge extra for condiments without telling you and are rudely pushy about drinks, then it all adds up to the worse restaurant experience we've had in a long while. The place is nothing but a scam. Only go here if you've never tasted real Indian food and don't mind indifferent service.

Tandoori night in Birchington Kent is with out question the best Indian that ive had in 30 years plus, food out of this world, freindley, happy outgoing and the staff are happy in there job. Go on i dare you to give it a go.

The food is quite simply brilliant. We had lamb pasanda and korai king prawn with some side dishes.

Had booked in advance, as Tandoori Nite is very popular. The staff are very friendly, the service was good, the food was delicious as usual. The prices were reasonable. We all enjoyed our evening, and shall be back soon.

Lovely and spacious dining area, attentive staff and no loud music, so great to be able to chat. Accepted Taste Card no problem. Can't wait to go back.

Probably my favourite reasonably priced Indian restaurant in the UK. Although I would agree with another reviewer that tables are to close together.

The food was delicious and the service excellent. The Balti chicken channa was a great choice. The king prawn puree was mouth watering. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Quality establishment, their tandoori chicken was dee-lish.

Nice food for the price but tables are far to near each other and the staff seemed more interested in people coming in for take out than the customers in restaurant.
