Saffron in East Lindsey

To be honest it was very poor went with my partner a bigger party came in after us and the eye contact went straight to the larger party didn’t enjoy at all

The worst Indian food I have ever tasted. Perhaps it’s because we are from london BUT Indian cooking is Indian cooking…….food arrived scorching hot in the containers but immediately became cold and not easy to eat?????? What’s that about?? The Biryani was tasteless. The vegetable curry that arrived with it was like slop…. To top the disgust, prawn puri arrived with very greasy bread. Pershawri naan was disgusting. All in all total waste of money. The best party of our order was coke cola in the bottle. Take away order from pe25 3js. It’s one of restaurants on bed and breakfast recommendations. Sorry but very very disappointed with quality of food.

Had a lovely meal tonight. We're not locals but wanted a nice Indian restaurant. I have to say this is one of the best Indian meals we've had!

Had a delivery tonight the curry tasted burnt threw most of it in the bin. The kema nan was also horrible. Have had a few take aways from here and this was definitely the worst one ever.

First time visiting excellent service, food excellent some items on the menu you get in any Indian restaurent and quite a few different ones to try. We went for a birthday celebration so pushed the boat out a bit and chose top end of menu price wise. 2 starters with 2 mains and sides with soft drinks as they don't serve alcohol came to £50

Tried this whilst we are staying on a break at Butlins. food was absolutely amazing, couldn't fault a single thing. Best onion bhajis we have had from a takeaway ever, fresh like eating them in at a restaurant, same as the poppadoms. 100% recommended to anyone fancying a curry!

We had not booked a table and we arrived around 7.00pm. There were 5 of us and the staff quickly pulled tables together to accommodate us. The food was lovely. It was fresh, hot and very tasty. The staff were all lovely and really looked after us. Please note that this restaurant does not serve alcohol. Please don't let that put you off.

Very disappointed chefs special curry looked like slop on a plate naan was cold and tasteless also over charged so check your bill was charged £3.50 for water it was £2.50 on the menu

Very disappointed with food which to be fair I didn't except considering it so highly rated. The chicken in both our dishes was very dry and bland, my partners sauce was good and plentiful but I had to search for the sauce (very dry) I also bought a garlic nan which was very tasty unfortunately went to waste as no sauce to dip in. Pilau rice was a little dry and a little hard in places. Star of the show was the Mango lassi which was very flavoursome albeit could have done with being a little colder. Restaurant was a busy Saturday night, service was quick considering but for £50 I would expect better food. Service and cleanliness was good.

Loved the food. Vindaloo was very tasty, could have been slightly hotter in spice. Rice and chips were also good. Wasn’t too pricy

Oops just missed the salad and sauce but when we reported the issue delivered within 3 mins. Really enjoyed the foods . Recommend the Lamb dish perfect for my taste.

Your my favourite takeaway but the food I ordered on Friday was inedible. I'm not sure if it's because you were busy but my curry was watery, no flavour and the chicken very vinegary. The poppadoms tasted very salty. I had to throw it away. Very sad about this

Chicken tikka massala taste like cardboard and very gritty, couldnt eat it very strange flavour. Also no garlic on garlic naan.

certainly looked after me was collecting a take out, but it wasn’t quite ready. Made me feel so welcoming and very apologetic. pulled a chair out sat me and down and gave me a drink couldn’t apologise enough and only had to wait no more than 5mins. Food was excellent, would definitely recommend 😊

OH MY GOD! We used to have taj mahal in ingomells, not no more the portions was massive, the onion bhajs was monsters not like a small squash of onion like most places, the nan bread with cheese was full not skimping the cheese. That was a meal it's self, they could definitely double/triple there price and keep the portions the same and would still pay it. The best thing that could happen to skegness has happened thank you saffron!! Will see you again soon.

Really poor food tonight , kema meat was green , whole meal tasked like it came from a microwave ready meal

2nd order that has had very little taste to the curry, not sure if it’s because it’s out of season now or if there’s been a change of chef. Tonight’s curry was so bland and disappointing for the price paid. Will try one more time before going elsewhere. Delivery driver also never got out of his vehicle. Just rang me to tell me to go to his car and fetch the food.

I've ordered from saffron quite a few times and have always been happy with my food but this time unfortunately my lamb balti was Luke warm so were the chips and the onion Bhagi was dry and not hot also poppadoms weren't crispy, a little chewie.

Would not even rate this place it was totally disgusting spent £50 a meal for my family it tasted like it was cooked in dirty fat was rancid had to throw it all away was completely inedible the staff was going to refund me that didn’t happen e-emailed the owner didn’t get back to me they just don’t care I’m local would have ordered again god help the holiday makers I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone stay well clear

On the most part the food was excellent. Hot, tasty and exactly as ordered/described. Only disappointment was the lamb tikka in both the starters and one main. It was chewy and tough, completely inedible. Only thing that stopped it being five stars all round. What a shame because everything else was fantastic.

I called and asked the restaurant for finely chopped onions and tomatoes in my curry, this preference wasn't taken on board so ruined my meal to a certain extent 😞

the app said it had been delivered but turned up twenty minutes late so wasn't very hot this is the first time I've had a bad experience with the service hopefully it was a one of

Absolutely superb, great atmosphere, fabulous food and lovely staff. THEY DO NOT SERVE ALCOHOL but don't let that put you off. I'm disabled and they were very attentive. Portions were a good size in fact I think two could have dined on what we left. I cannot fault it, we look forward to returning soon.

Took about an hour to order, as there's a secret limit on how much you are allowed to buy (possibly £100?). Food was decent.

Helpful and quick service. I arrived at 5:30, had eaten very well and left by 6:10 which suited my needs perfectly it was a fuel stop rather than dining experience. Friendly servers and I enjoyed the food.

Forgot poppadoms and came out to deliver them straight away

Not a good experience this time which disappointed us. My curry was quite bland which is unusual for this place. We ordered coffee but the cream had curdled and when we pointed it out he ( the waiter) just shrugged. When it came to paying they then tried to overcharge us by £13. As I said a disappointing visit this time. Not sure if we will go back again.

The absolute best Indian restaurant far and wide....They have a Tandoori chef there who is a very good friend of mine...his name is Ahmed and he is from Bangladesh....he does the absolute best Chees Nan....!!!! They cook there so well, tasty and the kitchen is so clean that I don't believe that it could be better anywhere in the world than in this restaurant...maybe it's just as good, but definitely not Better because Safron Skegness is absolutely TOP...!!! !

While on holiday in Skegness we decided to to go out for a meal to Saffron, after reading the reviews we thought we would give them a try. Glad we did, the food was excellent, good portion size, the meat was tender and tasty. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. If we come to Skegness again we will definitely visit them again.

Absolutely loved it if ever in Skegness would definitely use again food was superb an hot which can be tricky with some deliveries in other towns I’ve used takeaways before now turned up when they said it would all round happy chappy

Ordered a takeaway and the food was beautiful. Food was piping hot and tasty, but also not oily which is great. Would recommend a visit and will order from here again when we are back in the area 😊
