Absolutely amazing food, Promopt and Polite service. Will become our go to Curry House! Recommend!!

Absolutely superb, great atmosphere, fabulous food and lovely staff. THEY DO NOT SERVE ALCOHOL but don't let that put you off. I'm disabled and they were very attentive. Portions were a good size in fact I think two could have dined on what we left. I cannot fault it, we look forward to returning soon.

Took about an hour to order, as there's a secret limit on how much you are allowed to buy (possibly £100?). Food was decent.

Helpful and quick service. I arrived at 5:30, had eaten very well and left by 6:10 which suited my needs perfectly it was a fuel stop rather than dining experience. Friendly servers and I enjoyed the food.

Not a good experience this time which disappointed us. My curry was quite bland which is unusual for this place. We ordered coffee but the cream had curdled and when we pointed it out he ( the waiter) just shrugged. When it came to paying they then tried to overcharge us by £13. As I said a disappointing visit this time. Not sure if we will go back again.

The absolute best Indian restaurant far and wide....They have a Tandoori chef there who is a very good friend of mine...his name is Ahmed and he is from Bangladesh....he does the absolute best Chees Nan....!!!! They cook there so well, tasty and the kitchen is so clean that I don't believe that it could be better anywhere in the world than in this restaurant...maybe it's just as good, but definitely not Better because Safron Skegness is absolutely TOP...!!! !

While on holiday in Skegness we decided to to go out for a meal to Saffron, after reading the reviews we thought we would give them a try. Glad we did, the food was excellent, good portion size, the meat was tender and tasty. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. If we come to Skegness again we will definitely visit them again.

Ordered a takeaway and the food was beautiful. Food was piping hot and tasty, but also not oily which is great. Would recommend a visit and will order from here again when we are back in the area 😊

We ordered a chicken phaal and a chicken korma. The food was outstanding, the chicken fell apart, the phaal was lovely and spicy. Delivery driver was friendly and approachable.

Omg so we orded a take out not just me but 2 orders The food was amazing gooooooood The service was great to Rang at 4-30 No answer 2 minutes later I got a call from them They taken our orders as more than one n said it be ready in half hr I turned up and he said sorry it be a few more minutes We got 10 percent of the price as I picked it up (no delivery to anderby creek) I dropped of a mates order come home and omfg I had a lamb jelfeazi ( Loada of lamd onions peppers) perfect Hubby had a chicken tikka Everything was just perfect My mate orded loads to and told me also that was the best ever so a big THANK YOU xx Definitely gonna be out go to Shame no delivery to anderby creek 😭😭😭😭 But not a problem thank you so much xxx

Absolutely the worst Indian I’ve ever had. All the meals were watery and tasteless, chips soggy, keema nan was crunchy! The plain nan was fine & the rice was okay too but the drinks were not cold in the slightest. The only reason I’m giving 2 star is because they forgot my chips and sent the driver back with them.

Holiday treat. In Skegness with friends. Only me likes Indian style food so on my own. Staff really nice and obliging. Was told no alcohol on entry so opted for a coke. Pickle tray and popadoms really tasty. Lamb Achari pliau rice and naan spot on. All piping hot. Well done.

Was really looking forward to a good curry. We love to try out new flavours etc. We ordered a chicken madras and pilau rice, I ordered a mild fruity chicken dish. My partner asked for the madras to be extra hot. This was not the case. My biggest problem was the food was dry n salty too salty and then I saw the sign on the wall. Halal. I mentioned this as the meat in the keema tasted dry too and now we know why. If we'd had known we wouldn't have gone. We Brits don't eat halal we prefer juicy meat. In our home town they normally have a big yellow circle on the door and we avoid it. There was no yellow sign, as we left there was a small green circle on one window. Hardly visible amongst other things. Myself and my partner have been here before and noticed no concerns. My partner knows a good curry. He feels the place is not the same anymore, has it changed hands . Also they don't sell alcohol. If I'd have known it was halal I'd have not gone. This is not what we eat. And it shouldn't be the only choice. This is England. That in our eyes is wrong.

Every so often i like to treat myself, and this is my goto place. Another excellent meal..

Party of eight 8 on a golf trip to Skeggy. Fortunate to find Saffron on Sunday night 30/06/24. Absolutely tremendous food, Welcoming efficient staff, great service, good value. Every member of the group raved about it and that doesn't often happen. Not licensed and can't take your own but the quality of the food off-set's that.

Very poor. Looked online, great drink selection etc all on there… arrive to find out they no longer serve alcohol and you can’t bring it in. Ordered a mix grill and the lamb tasted ‘ off ‘ I had to spit it out. I did mention this to the waiter and then got told ‘ it’s very popular ‘ We’re restaurant owners and I’m a chef and I never really complain. Won’t be back.

We were visiting Skegness and wanted a nice family outing for an Indian and this had really good reviews so booked ahead (very important piece of information) for me, my wife and 2 year old with a high chair - We received a confirmation followed by a “we are looking forward to you arriving” message which was great! We arrived and were greeted by the waiter who guided us to a table and after I said “we ordered a high chair on the booking” he replied with a big smile “we don’t read the requests here’s your table” - which he seemed very proud of We had to ring round some other restaurants and luckily no.9 were accommodating and saved our evening - when we mentioned we had found somewhere else and we were leaving the waiter laughed and said “okay okay ” whilst turning away.. Worst Indian experience I’ve ever had - especially bearing in mind we pre booked with a special request which was “confirmed” - won’t ever be coming back here

We chose this Indian restaurant as it was rated number 1 on trip adivsor, the food was gorgeous and the service we received was very professional and the staff were lovely. The only problem about this restaurant - The restaurant was empty when we arrived, we were sat on our own as a couple , their were plenty of seats and big tables but when a family of around 10 people arrived they sat them about an inch away from us which made our meal very awkward and uncomfortable. Apart from this the restaurant was very good.

Two different curries ordered but tasted the same, very bland, no spice strength, watery taste. Chips soggy. The best part was the onion bhajis. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

We ordered a poppadoms pickle tray, 3 mains, 2 naan breads and a rice for delivery. Whilst it may not have been the cheapest, it more than made up for in taste. Delivery was fantastic, placing a phone call order, we was advised it would be 50mins. Perfect. 10 mins before delivery a follow up call to confirm its on its way and where to meet the driver (we were on a touring site so really appreciated this) A text message was then sent by the driver to let us know he'd arrived, so we weren't left hanging around, and nor was he. Absolutely fantastic service. *Please note it is cash only on delivery, so good to know before ordering if you're not near any cash points or cash back facilities. The food....Absolutely delicious. We had chicken tikka masala, chicken rogan josh, and lamb biriyani. All 3 dishes were bursting with flavour, and were all piping hot even after sitting for 15mins while we had our poppadoms Even the delivery bags were of a great quality...think bag for life rather than the standard flimsy white carrier bag you get with most take aways. Extremely impressed and will definitely be ordering from here again on our next visit to Winthorpe. Thank you for a delicious meal

Decided to visit while away for a few days for my Birthday, and definatley will be visiting again when in the area! The food was served in reasonable time, and full of flavour. They even varied the strength of the food to make it hotter for me. Thanks again 🙏

We have visited the Saffron several times over the last 12 years and usually have a very good meal and a feeling of value, until this occasion! The onion bahji were excellent, very fresh and tasty. The main courses were quite tasteless and the chicken meat dry. We were aware of the 'no alcohol' status before we arrived. We asked for water to accompany our meal and we were served 2 off plastic bottles of water and charged £5. We felt this was not value for money. Time for a change of restaurant for us the next time we are in Skegness.

Came to Skegness for a short holiday. Lovely food, very flavoursome. We went as a family of 9, service very good. Food came out relatively quickly. Kids were happy Highly recommend.

It’s the second time that we have visited, we made our way to Saffron from home (unfortunately we live in Skegness), when approaching the restaurant we saw the sign saying that there is no alcohol which is perfect for us as we don’t drink, once inside we were greeted by our front of house/waiting staff who showed us to our table. The menu has a great selection of Indian dishes, for the second time I had the Tandoori sizzler and my wife had a curry (unsure of the name), while waiting for our food we tucked in to our poppadom which was a mistake as it was so nice we couldn’t stop, our food then came out and my Tandoori sizzler we could hear approaching us as the sizzle was super loud and that was awesome, my wife loved her curry and oh my don’t forget the rice, I had special rice and my wife had coconut rice both we amazing. Our waiter came over to ask us if everything okay, we obviously said yes as it was spot on. At the end of the evening I was a little cheeky and asked our waitress if I could have a tub of the lime pickle and she was more than happy to get me a small tub of it. The bill arrived and we were pleasantly surprised at final cost. Personally I would like to thank all of the staff for helping to make our evening a special one. See you again soon. We have visited this place yesterday . Food was absolute disaster . No taste , no salt nothing . If you want to try Indian food I do not recommend this place.

No taste cold vegetables where to big hardly any chicken rice tasteless like curry will not be going back there again

After reading some of the reviews we wasn't expecting much from this Indian. We got their just as it opened, we were pleasantly greeted and shown to our table. The food was fantastic the staff were great. Even our youngest daughter said this was the best 👌 👍 . We will be back for more thank you.

Customers need to know before hand that this place does not sell alcohol and your not even aloud to bring your own. silly business decision as you just lost £200 customer tonight every Indian restaurant I've been to that does not sell alcohol always let you bring your own carnt comment on the food as did not end up eating here because of there alcohol policy

We booked this restaurant as we were staying in Skegness for the night & my partner had his heart set on a curry for our evening meal . The Saffron got the best reviews on Google, so we though we would try it. However, all I can say is the food was just "OK". I had tandoori king prawn as it is my fave, however it lacked flavour, it was bland & basic. My partner had king prawn dansac, his fave & again, although it wasn't unpleasant, it wasn't anything special. We have produced these meals at home that tasted better than what was offered & we are far from great cooks & chefs. Also, this restaurant does not sell alcohol. We had got a taxi to the restaurant as we had hoped to relax, have a couple of glasses of wine & a meal during our night away. There is no mention of this on the website when we checked out the menu. I feel that the restaurant needs to say they "do not sell alcohol". My partner asked if it was OK to purchase a bottle of wine elsewhere & drink it on the premises, (a common occurrence in many restaurants who do not have a licensing permit) & he was told this was not allowed either. So we ended up paying overcharged prices (£2.50 for a bottle of 500ml still water & a small can of red bull for £3.90) On the upside, the nan breads were large & staff were very polite, attentive & I cannot fault them. Unfortunately, I felt having spent almost £60 for two people, that it wasn't value for money for a mediocre meal & two soft drinks that we wouldn't have chosen for an evening out, given the choice. I felt obliged to stay as I had booked a reservation & also was unsure of our surroundings, but I would not return to this premises again unless they improve the food quality & gain a permit to allow alcohol consumption or sale. Customers who are on a break or on holiday want to chill out & enjoy their time away, with me that means a nice glass of wine & good food.
