Excellent service and food in a traditional old style Indian restaurant. Beats all the trendy modern ones hands down. The wine list was also very good, including surprisingly Chablis at moderate prices

I’ve been eating at Palace Spice for 6 years and have always been struck by how fantastic the food is and how warm and welcoming the staff are. They cannot do enough for you, and nothing is too much trouble. A wonderful experience this time on NYE and we’ll be back again soon!

The food was good and wasn't over salted. In terms of advice make sure that the biryani sauce always has cauliflower. It had it last time but not this time and I missed it. The second piece of advice is change the chicken breast for chicken thighs.

I ordered Special Biryani and Bindi Bhaji. They were delicious. Perfectly seasoned. Just delicious. I don't eat much in one sitting so the biryani will last for at least three meals. Glad the salt issue has been addressed.

El mejor curry que mi esposa o yo hemos comido en Londres. La última vez que vivimos en Clapham hace 10 años, éramos asiduos. Encantado de decir que sigue siendo tan bueno como siempre. Las ofertas estándar y las favoritas están aquí, así como platos más interesantes como gingerwala, murgh malai y pathia. Los platos de carne están llenos de pollo, cordero, etc., y los bhajis son especialmente buenos. También vale la pena mencionar que la comida entrega excelentemente. No te dejes engañar por el cartel que dice que no hay MSG añadido, colorantes alimentarios o grasas. Esto no hace nada para disminuir el sabor de la comida. Así que gracias de nuevo Palace Spice. Pronto me volverás a ver.

Love this restaurant- it never disappoints- the food was delicious and plentiful - best onion bhaji I ever had. As for the staff, I cannot praise enough - very attentive and they go above and beyond to make your visit a memorable one. Highly recommended.

Great service friendly staff. We booked via an open table experience for my daughter's birthday. The king prawn puree was excellent. Portion sizes were good. We had chicken tikka, fish tikka, chicken shaslic, lamb biryani, butter and garlic nans, plain rice. Enjoyed the bengali beer as had not had it before. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely brilliant meal my self and three other people went for a meal after being recommended by my son and granddaughter we were celebrating Michael and myself birthday the service was good they didn't keep worrying you were had time to talk we all chose different meals and all complemented on how good each one was we will definitely be going again I'm going to get a takeaway of the meal I had it was that good

I called when I received my order because I didn't know what it would look like and what I received didn't look like I expected it to look like (my ignorance!). They were great! They explained everything. That said I didn't like the crispy shrimp. I found it salty yet weirdly flavourless. I wish I had known what I would be getting when I ordered it. I bought special biryani. Tbh, I felt it was a bit under seasoned and some of the meat didn't taste fresh. In future I will stick to separate menu items.

It was quiet, midweek. They were very attentive as we were the only diners there for most of the meal. Starters were very good but my friends not so keen on their mains.

I ordered chicken Jalfrezy and mixed fried rice. Delicious! Jalfrezy was hot, but not ridiculous, until I accidentally ate a chilli! Have whole milk on deck for chilli accidents. Flavour was off the charts. Mixed rice was delicious too. Jalfrezy and mixed fried rice was enough for two meals for me. I recommend.

The food was fresh & flavourful. The curry and side that I selected said medium spice but I couldn't detect any spiciness at all so I would buy spicier next time. I really wanted a Jalfrezy but the heat vs flavour can't be predicted so I wanted to test their ability to season food first, which really was excellent. The portions were decent too. I will definitely buy again and expand my choices.

Brilliant food, pleasant service. What I call proper Indian food. Varied menu and a great place to eat, inside or out. Visit Battersea Square!!

Great tasting food but the pilau rice was unnecessarily greasy.

As a frequent visitor of Place Spice, both dine-in and take-away, I cannot fault them in any way and encourage all to visit. The customer service is exemplary, staff are incredibly attentive. The cuisine is consistently exquisite; enjoyed in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The best curry experience I have had to date.

We reordered from this restaurant again as our first experience was lovely. Unfortunately, this time was not. We got a notification around 19:10 saying our order had left the restaurant but it didn’t arrive until 19:40 (we’re only a six minute drive away) so the food was stone cold. We also got delivered the wrong orders. We asked for a Chicken Naga & Lamb Rogan Josh. But instead got a Chicken Rogan Josh & Lamb Naga - didn’t actually realise until we checked the lids afterwards (my boyfriend was dying from the spice of my naga!) It’s a shame but we loved our first order but this one was such a disappointment.

Food was an hour early and so was cold by the time family home to eat it. Why offer a pre-order time if you can’t stick to it ?!

Although the food was outstanding, I regret that chicken was not real pieces of chicken, just processed pieces of chicken.

One item missing , phoned no driver but did say I’ll get something off nxt time, food sadly this time was just ok,will probably wait now until the restaurant is fully open.

Not the best Indian. Raita was split and the passanda wasn’t that tastey. Onion barjees weren’t crispy and were bit soft and oily.

We order from here on a regular basis, driver is friendly, food is great and portion sizes are very good. This is the only Indian takeaway that we know of anywhere local that can make a lamb passanda correctly. Highly recommend this dish! Thanks guys, keep up the good work

We placed an order for 7.20pm collection specifically, we got a message at 6.40pm saying it’s was ready and we weren’t anywhere near the place so had to run back, which meant that when we got it home it was a bit cold but popped it in the oven for a bit. Apart from that everything was delicious! Chicken tikka balti and lamb rogan josh the meat was so so tender. Mixed platter starter portion probably only for 1 person. Onion bahjis were really good too!

Ordered from this restaurant. Terrible service, called in multiple times - told us to wait and that they would call us back - never heard from them so we kept having to call back. In the end they hung up on us. We resorted to getting other food because they were an hour late and no one had arrived despite saying the order had been delivered. 2 hours after the food was meant to be delivered the food then arrives. Don't forget they forgot to put two items into the meal they delivered - waste of time and paid for more than what we got. Terrible service and I woukd like to speak to someone about getting a refund for the order.

This was our second visit to Palace Spice Battersea and, while we had enjoyable evening, felt the meal wasn't quite as good this time around. The chicken tikka massala was a disappointment. However, other items form the menu were very good.

Lamb madras, was nice, along with a keema naan. Only thing that I would say was a few pieces of lamb were a little tough for my liking.

We originally put an order in with another restaurant but it never turned up so Justeat cancelled it. Two hours after our original order and really hungry, we ordered from here. They say everything happens for a reason! The food was amazing! I'm so glad the other place didn't turn up! The food is full of flavour and fresh. It tastes authentic rather than a generic paste that everyone Uses. I was visiting my partner so I really hope they deliver to where I live as I won't order from anywhere else now. The delivery driver was lovely also. He must of thought I was either really greedy or really silly when I asked what restaurant this delivery was from 😂

I'm really sorry I usually hardly ever write review but the food was appalling. There was no taste to it at all. Had to throw it away. Would like a refund.

The food was terrible. My pasanda had separated out into lumpy, tasteless liquid, the naan and roti were hard and dry, and the other curry was also tasteless. Even some of the poppadoms had an odd taste to them. We couldn't eat the food. I have never left a review before on justeat but we were really disappointed with this.

We ordered one Tikka masala with lamb and another with chicken. The sauce was barely edible and tasted sour. Very dissappointing! Also there was very little meat in either of the dishes. Will never order again.
