I had a great experience in the royal mahal , everything was delicious and the service was amazing by nilesh who served us, I really enjoyed it

The tables were dirty, the toilets were dirty and one was even broken down. The food was decent, they do birthday celebrations quite loud not good if you have anxiety or get shaken easily. Barely able to call waiters to the table, have to get up yourself and go to the counter for anything you need. The glasses to drink from, all fingerprints and smudged and dirty, the 'tap' water tasted like metal. Wouldn't recommend to be honest, but if you want to go somewhere for a quick bite and okay food I guess you could do worse.

I really enjoyed the food here. Abbas served us and he was very nice and welcoming.

Excellent breakfast - soft and freshly fried puris, halwa and chana All for only £2.99 as part of intro offer. Other menu items also good - Pancakes were nice and fluffy Only negative was they didn’t really know their menu that well e.g. no one seemed to know what a Spanish coffee was, but ordered it anyway and it was nice!

Good service, Great food and a nice atmosphere. Only thing that let them down was the masala fish was over fried and some lamb chops were over cooked and therefore chewy.

The customer service is 0 the waiters were soo rude except one lady who was asking for water. Starters were good but main course was soo bad …

I had visit to royal mahal norbery branch before it was very good but last time I visit to tooting branch very bad experience food was very bad not even biryani they put in microvave chicken karahi just ok

The food here always gets the taste buds alive. Top service with a waiter already for you. It can get super busy and of course that means service takes longer but the food is worth the wait.

One of my favorite place for good authentic Pakistani food. Delicious kebabs, lamb and chicken karahi. Lahori falooda is the best dessert here.

Went here to try a breakfast. Really not good enough. All ingredients were poor quality. My partner mentioned it was ‘not good’, and totally ignored! Honestly, enough decent places in tooting to swerve this one. Toilets were filthy as well.

Stay clear from this place, got food poisoning from this so called restaurant. Plus it’s filthy, never again !!!

I bought jafrazi food for my wife and Lam Madras for myself. It really was a combination of quality and freshness. I would like to thank my brother who cooked it, the manager of the place, the servers, the dishwashers and every worker who worked in this place. It was a great meal. See you again.... We recently visited royal mahal for a brunch and absolutely loved it, reminded me of lahori nashta. Everything was cooked to perfection. The staff was really kind. My experience was 10/10!!! Loved it

Great indish restaurant with delicious food. We really enjoyed our stay and the food. Abas took good care of us and served as with joy.

Worth visit. Taste is good specially within the price of £2.99 having 2 puries, halwa , channe and with pickle and sausces its a very much nice deal . Must visit the place on sunday and enjoy your breakfast. Sitting is very much impressive and also do not forget to book your table prior reaching there because the place is full of foodies all time specially in morning of sunday to avail the big discount.

Ordered the desi breakfast and pancakes for delivery, and they were just amazing. Too gooddd!! Will definitely come to dine in next time for it again!

The restaurant was very noisy so we decided to get a takeaway as we wanted a quiet meal. Waited inside for 45 minutes. Grateful for the small mango Lassi to share. But it felt like a long time. Children were playing in the toilets and men were walking in and out of the ladies toilet with their children. I was glad I didn't need to use the facilities. When we got home we found they had completely forgotten the Naan. When we called then they were really uninterested in this and questioned whether it was on the order. The food we did have was inedible. Very poor quality meat, spinach felt like it was out of a tin, paneer was raw pakoras were stale and chewy. The meal went in the bin. Hugely disappointing for our first visit there and we will not be going back

The food is fantastic (we tried the keema, mixed grill platter, and cheese naan), and the staff is very attentive. Despite being quite busy—understandably so—the restaurant is clean and well-maintained. The prices are reasonable, and there is parking available on the side roads. We will definitely be back!

For was good, on the expensive side but it tastes good

Haleem, keema naan, nihari, masala fish, BBQ and Lahori faluda worth trying. In breakfast, egg keema paratha is highly recommended.

My experience at Royal Mahal was superb, kingly, and like no other! The restaurant team as a whole has excellent customer service.

Food was preheated, whole chicken is a baby chicken that should be described. Overcooked, meat was dry.

Chicken Tikka and whole chicken charga was not tasty and spicy even after specifying my preferences during placing the order which means customer preference was not taken seriously...While the main course(chicken handi) and deserts (gajar halwa) were very nice , I may not order tandoori from here again....

Overall experience at Royal Mahal restaurant (Tooting) was ok. I been there for breakfast. Found not proper dish so requested to do some changes . But they refused and been offered same dish as it is.

One of the very best Pakistani restaurants in London. Food, service and atmosphere all wonderful. We have visited several times for the food and now that they have launched a breakfast menu we had to check it out. Highly highly recommend. Venue: Royal Mahal Tooting Date of Visit: 28/04/2024 I came for a belated Eid dinner with my parents. This is the location where Spice Village was previously. The vibe here is a bit lively though I think the decor is over the top. The staff could have been more friendly. Order Included: - Pakore Papri Chaat - Royal Mixed Grill - Masala Fish - Lamb Methi - Chicken Channa - Roti - Karma Kola Drink The food arrived within 20 minutes and overall the tasted great and flavourful. The Masala Fish however was a rather small for the price There was a rather cringe moment while dining. It was the birthday of a fellow diner and one of the servers was dressed in a gold jacket, waving sparklers and shaking his booty to Punjabi birthday song. It was pretty pretty embarrassing. Te Karma Cola drink also quite unpleasant. I understand that people want I boycott big brands but this drink was not enjoyable the slightest Total cost was £80 which is more than elsewhere but not as ridiculous as Spice Village. Overall it was a pleasant visit, the food tasted great but the atmosphere/environment needs improvement. 4/5 Stars

Ordered online. The food was not the best which comprised of a butter chicken and some naan which tasted nothing like they should. The only thing nice was the mango lassi beverage which tasted great, otherwise would not order again.

Always wanted to eat at the heart of tooting a lot of restaurants so we chose Royal Mahal as it was a birthday occasion. First of all nice looking place and the vibe is decent. The samosa chart looked a good starter and it wasn't bad I've had better but it was OK. Opted for mixed grill, Chapali kebab and saag chicken. A real mixed bag to be honest. I thought the kebabs were OK, the Chapali wasn't so good not spicy or seasoned enough. Added Fish pieces and these were also dissapointing in taste. My wife was more scathing and thought it was all very poor and that's a surprise as you can't normally go wrong with mixed grill. Pointed this out to management who listened to our points. All in all I'd say average and most of my party were in agreement Spice Village much better

I loved the royal mahal nashta! I had the egg keema paratha, french toast and halwa puri with tea. My favourite dish was the egg keema paratha as it was light, crispy and filling. I would recommend it to all :)

It was a horrible experience, they did not warn that the food was EXTREMELY spicy. We couldn't eat anything, unfortunate.

Tried to scam with bottled water I didn’t order, rude staff. Chicken curry tasted like pork curry.

Ended up here by chance but One of the best places I've been to recently. Royal Street food options on the menu to 5 stars!

Boringly I usually order the same main dish, 'Chicken Korma.' Normally delicious. Just right thickness of sauce..almond and coconut-y. Plentiful, large and tender chunks of chicken. Unfortunately and unusually on this occasion the sauce was fairly / far too spicy for a Korma. I have also been disappointed on one other occasion, when I received Chicken Tikka Massala instead of Korma. The massala sauce tasted overwhelmingly of cream of chicken soup which wasn't very pleasant.

We enjoyed great food here! We tried different curries and all were delicious. The service was fast and the waiter was very helpful. Overall a very good place! I can only recommend it.

I came here on Father’s Day as a table of 5 and ordered gol goppay,onion bhajis , chilli paneer , pakoras , lamb seekh, chicken handi, lamb balti, lamb curry and lamb madras. The gol goppay, pakoras and onion bhajis were nice but I wasn’t a fan of the chilli paneer. The chicken handi and biriyani were delicious too. Regarding the lamb curries, the lamb meat itself was very soft and tender but the lamb curry was not nice at all. The lamb curry was so bad that we couldn’t eat it and had to order the lamb balti which was a lot better. Overall though the food was good and the restaurant itself is very big with a lot of space for dining and nice decor.

I have been to nearly all curry houses in tooting (living here all my life) and this is my favourite place to go. All the curries I’ve tasted have always been great & my go to is the methi chicken - please don’t change it! Lovely owners too & great stuff for local community. THE BEST!

Very good restaurant, located metres away from Tooting Bec station. 🚉 the food they serve is amazing everything we have ordered is tasty. Be aware they don’t serve alcohol there. Some of the finest curries and kebabs. It is very reasonable priced. The atmosphere is superb it feels cozy, shick and elegant. Place is clean and staff are very friendly and quick.

Was a pleasant experience and I felt the prices were amazing for the quality and portion of food so would highly recommend! The flavours of the food and drinks were amazing and would definitely recommend for birthday celebrations or any special occasion.

I came here to enjoy a nice meal with the family on Eid day and was delightfully served by Abas. He was both polite understanding and most importantly careful with our order. I commend both his service and the restaurant nothing shy but a 10/10 (give the man a raise)

I checked out @royalmahalgroup in Tooting. Now I've kind of tried their food before at their catering hall right next door for a friend's party - Food was memorably good and I've kept hearing praise since then so made the trip to check it out. Their starters are great - the Royal Platter pretty much has everything, and more! It's a mixed grill but also biryani and also masala chips. Lots on one plate and great to share. Everything went down well here and the masala Fish was my favorite, it just tasted fresh was quality. Mains had the usual favorites: Nihari, Haleem, Handi and Biryani. You can tell the quality and taste is there with these dishes. Even their naans are nice - Keema Naan was highly recommended to me and had to order that. It didn't disappoint. Thin and crispy but authentic. Desserts kinda took me by surprise because not only are they house made, they were up there. Falooda was really good but that gajar ka halwa with kulfi was delicious. Then that basque cheesecake; I normally prefer basque cake on its own and avoid toppings but with melted milk chocolate was dreamy. @royalmahalgroup has a lovely family seating setup and worth a check out 👌

Chicken tikka biryani was inedible - far too much salt. Had it before and it was ok so on this occasion someone must have just tipped the salt in . No refund from Just Eat - standard line about different restaurants have different taste profiles etc but they’re missing the point: need to allow for things fundamentally mis -cooked to the point it’s inedible

Food was second to none, staff are very nice, quick at taking orders and overall excellent service. The dynamite chicken and mixed grill was the best. I envy anyone that is in the tooting area because this was easily a 5/5 restaurant.

We travelled all the way from east London for this restaurant. The food was amazing, high quality. The interiors were lovely and clean. Excellent customer service, well prepared team, catered to all our needs, especially brother Abbas. He looked after our table, big shout out to brother Abbas and all his team.
