The food in this restaurant was very nice and tasty and all the staff were very friendly and treated me like a family guest which impressed me more.

Continues to be one of Tootings nicest restaurants to visit. The staff are always incredibly friendly, the food is well priced and tasty as well as varied with lots of different choices. The environment itself is welcoming, comfortable and feels nice to be in Since the Sree Krishna closed this is the only place in Tooting to get good authentic south Indian cuisine, everyone knows it as well so booking is highly recommended especially on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

Tastes so bad... I ordered Samosa and Biriyani and Prawns poriyal (was okay) but biriyani and samosa was worst experience. The flavor of cumin was highlighted in the Samosa.

Tasty food. Cramped space though.

It's very rare for me to give establishments a rating. Saying that, I left this place with the need to provide my input. I moved to London almost 2 years ago and while I felt like the Indian food scene was incredible, I never felt like there was a spot that reminded me of dosas I've had in India until this place. The chutneys accompanied with the papdum and dosas hit home. I ordered the chicken bhuna with paneer and was so satisfied. The customer service was spectacular.

First visit here based on friends recommendation (who are regulars). It was busy which is a good sign. We did have a table. In the carnet which was a bit of a squeeze to get into. Food was great. At the end of the evening a gentleman came up to the counter near us and we overheard him saying that he has tried every Indian restaurant in the area but keeps coming back here as it is the best.

Food is ok. The spice is mellowed down; so not typical authentic food. After the meal the waiter adviced us to next time request for normal spice. Disappointing if you are looking for authentic food.

We randomly discovered this restaurant and we loved everything about it. Food was delicious, everyone super efficient, nice and warm. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. Will be back soon!! 🤤

I ordered for 7:45pm (because I had friends arriving at 7:30) but it arrived at 6:55pm, so had to sit in the oven to stay warm for 50 minutes.

Fantastic Curry house, one of the best in Tooting

First of all when I got in the door,I was ignored and the lady behind me was served first. After she was seated I STILL had to wave my hands towards them so they would notice me. Once I was seated and ready to order, I once again had to get the waitresses attention so I could order. I ordered the chicken Korma ,pilau rice with a plain paranthi,poppadoms and pickle tray , and Mango Lassi. The poppadoms came they were nice. Towards the end of my consumption of the poppadoms they tried take my plate away before I was finished. The mains came, the chicken Korma was too spicy and the paranthi was under cooked. The dough was still a bit raw. The Korma sauce was very runny and didn't have that distinctive coconut taste that it usually has. I finished off with a pistachio kulfi and a glass of water, which I had to ask twice for. Not up to their usual standard. All in all a bit of an expensive disappointment.

This is the best Indian food in the whole of London and you can’t tell me otherwise. I have lived in many different areas of London but Vijaya Krishna is absolutely fantastic. It’s now me and my partners regular spot and we go once a month. The food is delicious every single time. If you’re going to try an Indian restaurant in tooting it must be this one, or you’re seriously missing out.

Nice portion, tasty food, I ordered butter chicken. But they need to be careful with SALT BECAUSE THE CHICKEN BUTTER WAS VERY SALTY FOR ME.

I wanted to try this restaurant for a while and finally went with my son last night. Despite it was busy they managed to get us a table. We were very impressed, we had so some fabulous food. I strongly recommend the fish molee. Lovely and lively atmosphere and great service.

Disappointed the korma sauce was watery & not enough soon as you put it with the pilau rice it disappeared

Went there yday with my family a big party of 8 firstly we had to wait near on 20 minutes to access our table which we had previously booked. After that, the service was very below par as it took a long time for a waiter to even come and ask if we needed drinks for example, the wait was so long that we had to order everything drinks, starters, mains in one go. After we received the starters, there were many drinks that were missing, which needed to be asked for more than three times, including diet, Coke and water, and two of the starters just didn’t arrive. After that, we waited well over an hour and half for our mains to arrive by then we were quite frustrated so it didn’t help that there were items that were missing again, such as the potatoes which we were told that there was none left after the order and not before , which I found quite strange being a Saturday Night (the busiest) they should’ve been better prepared for the custom that they receive. Overall, we are very dissatisfied with our experience in this restaurant. Also an hour after we arrived There was a lot of other parties arriving which were extremely loud and boisterous, which put a downer on our evening. It is a shame because my family has been to this restaurant on a few different occasions but based on our experience yesterday evening they will not be returning ever again. My advice is if they are not ready for the amount of customers that will be arriving on the weekend they shouldn’t be open. We didn’t receive any apologies for our wait outside or for the food even though we had elderly people that needed to sit down, hence why we booked in advance. We also didn’t receive any complimentary food or drinks, which I think is a great shame. If I could give 0 I would unfortunately

At Vijay Krishna, my wife and I were enveloped in a world where culinary artistry and tradition converge. This was probably the worst takeaway curry me and my partner have ever had! We ordered it from here because of the high rating reviews but a big regret. To start with it was cold. And the curry’s were SO watery with no thickness. The dhansak had no flavour whatsoever and the korma was spicy and runny. Lastly the chicken was so dry. Most of it went in the bin. Wouldn’t recommend.

Got the Kerala fish curry and the Fish Mollie with the Kerala parathas - both were decently good although the description says it’s made with kingfish which I love but the actual curries came with tilapia which was a tad disappointing.

Had a friend’s 50th here and the restaurant couldn’t do enough to make it special for her. Wonderful food, atmosphere and located a 3 minute walk from Tooting Broadway.

Probably one of the worst Indian takeaways we've had. Both curries were completely tasteless, chicken was average at best as were the Parathas which was supposed to be garlic but had a whole chopped onion in each one. Only plus was free delivery. Would not recommend!

Good restaurant, nicely decorated with a welcoming feel. Food was good. I’ve given a low score for atmosphere because it was so noisy we had to almost shout to be able to hear each other. Maybe it’s a Friday evening thing, or maybe because the decoration of the restaurant (all wood) amplifies sound. But don’t go expecting to have a quiet relaxed conversation.

Our party of 3 adults enjoyed a relaxed meal here on a weeknight. We shared the Mysore dosai and Mysore Masala dosai, Kerala fish curry, lamb green masala, okra/aubergine theeyal and 2 rice dishes. The food was REALLY tasty. Favourites were the dosai which came with raita, curry, and the Kerala fish curry - delicious sauce with fish cooked just right. We received excellent service from kind people with interesting conversation. Will return for more dosai and the rest of the menu.

I live north of the river but sometimes when I'm down in Tooting, I like to grab me some of this restaurant's tasty wares. The fish curries are my absolute favourites, particularly the Goan one. The food stays piping hot after my one hour journey home... wonderful!

really cosy lovely local south indian restaurant the people who work here are so welcoming and friendly the food was delicious i loved the onion salad and the popadoms especially the beetroot pickle—the prawn puri starter was delicious fresh little prawns with a really tasty bread. we had the green lamb curry which was so good i love the green sauce very delicious. my favourite was the keralan fish curry the loo is so beautiful it’s like a spa loo ! my new favourite restaurant in tooting i think! xx

Really enjoyed eating at this restaurant. Stumbled upon it after starting a new job at the hospital down the road and decided to give it a try. When checking online I also saw that there had been good / positive reviews from other customers. The food did not disappoint! We tried a few things off the menu and each meal was delicious. The atmosphere was also very calm and the staff were very efficient. I would highly recommend if looking for 100% authentic, home cooked food. We have been back numerous times since!

Just been for Sunday lunch at this place . Food was absolutely delightful . 5 of us had a variety of dishes and there wasn't one which wasn't delightful. Sensibly priced as well .

This restaurant was highly recommended to us by some local friends. Menu had a wide variety of well described options and food was well presented and extremely tasty. The staff were very polite, professional, and attentive. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

The dishes ordered were mainly onions. However, very impressed with the delivery time despite it being New Year’s Eve, we didn’t have to wait long. Taste was disappointing

It's the best southern Indian restaurant in Tooting and I would highly recommend this place but be warned it does get very busy .it is also highly commended by Sadiq Khan MP

I was very impressed by this place. All the curries were fantastic, especially the lamb dishes - so tender. I enjoyed everything I tasted. Also very, very cheap - at least 10 curries, multiple appetizers and sides, rounds of drinks and two bottles of wine worked out to about £35 per head for 8 people.

Came across this from a Google search as we were in the neighborhood. Best south Indian food I've had in a long time. Very much like home cooked food. Brilliant service and very clean and tidy. Highly recommended

Superb South London curry house. Fresh South Indian food.

Spontaneously visited vijaya krishna for dinner. The restaurant was warm and welcoming and had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and attentive. We ordered a masala dosa followed by a keralan fish curry with an assortment of bread. The curry was delicious, light and flavoursome with tender fish. Really excellent dine in experience.

Edit Dec 22 Unfortunately, after having a great experience in the restaurant, we ordered a takeaway which was really poor. The lamb madras was bland with poor quality meat, the Bombay aloo lacked flavour and the same for the chicken saag.

Really authentic South Indian cuisine. Very tasty food, fresh and great flavours, value for money, and staff are so friendly and polite. Will definitely be going back.

This is by FAR the best Indian (South Indian) restaurant in Tooting. The food is exceptional, fresh and not swimming in oil. Being a slightly smaller restaurant the service is first class and you’re incredibly well looked after in there. Having tried other Indian restaurants in Tooting to judge the competition, Vijaya Krishna is still miles ahead in my opinion. Fantastic!

Great Indian with the usual dishes as well some different ones that are south Indian. The fish molee was nice and coconutty and the tomato curry is great as a side. We ordered poppadoms, dosa, three curries, rice and paratha which came to £28 each. This was definitely overordering but made for great leftovers.
