We ordered several dishes including, chicken tikka masala, paneer curry, mushroom curry, daal, as well a few more dishes. We also ordered naan bread. This was the second time we’ve ordered from Diwali. The food is a good standard, however you can taste the sugar in most dishes which I think reduces its authenticity as a dish, as it’s tastes the same as the next Indian restaurant. All dishes were nice enough though you can’t help to notice that generally the sauces all taste the same with the veg or meat swapped out. Again, if they added some distinct difference in the dishes it would improve the over all experience. The delivery was on time, and although a bit pricey for the quality of food it’s not a bad place to go to for a takeaway Indian.

Had a takeaway tonight from Diwali camberley. Probably the nicest food from an Indian restaurant ever. Delicious, really hot and good value for money. Now in our favourites. Thank you Diwali.

I've enjoyed going to Diwali for years now. The service at the restaurant is fantastic. They take good care of you. The food, though, is equally delicious. I highly recommend any of the Naan, Lamb Dhansak, Lamb Biriyani and Garlic Rice, our standard go-to items off the menu. We often order deliveries, and the process is simple and easy to order online on their website, and the wait time is short. The guys are great and would highly recommend Diwali.

We booked a tabke for 3 people at 19.30 and arrived on time, we had to wait for a good couple of hours for our food as restaurant was clearly putting just eat customers first, Good food but poor service, Maybe we should of ordered our food on line to be delivered to our table 🤔

We had a takeaway from Diwali on New Years Eve. The food was delicious, the staff friendly & informative when asked about dietary information. The labelling on the plastic containers, was really useful too. Will definitely use again

Food was very nice. Very reasonably priced and service was 100%. Good lighting and sound so nothing distracting - unlike a number of other restaurants around this area (not Asian). I got a LOT of chicken in my main course and liked it rather than loved it - hence just 4 stars. Nans were just right. This is is a very good, well run restaurant.

Waited hour and half for delivery- which should’ve been 50 minutes

First visit and honestly was a tad apprehensive, as I had read some reviews. Well, I was surprised. Service good, food very good. If I want a Indian out, I would definitely come here. Didn't feel too much like an Indian, but the food was good. I will be back with my hubby

My curry tasted like tomato soup and was apparently Butter Chicken, Momo were thick on the outerside (dough) and minimal inside, Dahl was boring and mutter paneer....peas were over cooked and hard. Sadly a job for the bin as I do not want the leftovers 😬

First time eating a proper meal at an Indian restaurant and wow! What a great meal. Service was amazing. They were there at your every need. The potato naan (like a pita bread with little pieces of potatoes) was excellent. I also got the fried egg rice since it is close to fried rice in the states. For the meat, I got chicken tisala (not sure on spelling sorry) and it was really good. Mix the chicken and rice together and use your naan to compliment it, and you have an amazing meal! Will definitely return and give it a go again. Try it!

I just order a butter chicken and veg Momos. Which is totally no taste and the butter chicken was full with tomato puree. I could hardly saw the chicken pieces. It ruins my night. 👎

Never fails to meet expectations. My wife is a big fan of the Chettinand, but the range of food on offer is consistently good. If you get a takeaway, then I would suggest collection and getting there before the time requested.

Not terrible, but there is better available in the area. The Lamb tikka was tough, but tasty. Papudoms were fresh. Onion bhajis were slightly raw. Garlic chicken (vindaloo hot) didn't taste authentic. Chicken was dry, but the sauce was plentiful with no oil. Mushroom rice (extra shrooms) was decent. Overall, if you want a big portion but don't care for authenticity, you may enjoy it. Delivery guy was nice

Food was okay. Ordered papad, Veg and Chicken momos, chicken and lamb biryani. Chicken momo was good but veg one's outer cover was not soft. Biryani was not upto the point, it was tasteless although served with peas and beans curry. Ambience and service was good.

Takeaway ordering was simple and delivered slightly ahead of time. Food was OK, but I felt it was anglicised rather than authentic. Quality was good, but nothing to rave about. My personal opinion is that there are better Indian takeaways in the area, but I'm not saying you shouldn't give them a try. Just not what I expect after enjoying genuine authentic Indian food in Wolverhampton. By all means give them a try; they may be what you're looking for and I cannot fault the service.

We have been ordering from Diwali for 5 years now. Food has always been consistent. Have never had a bad meal. Their Chettinand is my favourite and is an absolute must. I have recommended it to so many family and friends. Delivery time is always hit and miss but good food always comes to those who wait. Thanks for a great experience everytime!

Diwali wasn’t my first choice in North Camp as its Google reviews scores are the lowest in the area. There’s a lesson here: don’t always trust the numbers – it’s without doubt my favourite Indian restaurant in the ‘hood. I’ve dined here at least once and often twice a-week whilst staying in Farnborough. The food is enjoyable, especially the Chicken Chettinand (with extra green chillies), Tawa and Naga when accompanied with Jeera Rice (which itself is not often offered by Indian restaurants). Diwali is also reasonably priced with a curry & rice often being a few pounds less than other establishments, and given the food is good, represents very good value indeed. The staff are always really friendly and welcoming and every visit is a pleasure. So, if you’re reading this you can be sure I’ll be returning when in Farnborough and, if you’re thinking about a visit I’d recommend it.

We made a very last minute, very large, and unique order for our school PTA event. The staff were so accommodating to take on the order when another place had let us down. The service was excellent, the food was utterly delicious and the value was fab. Thank you Diwali and we will defo be coming again. (so will all of the people at the event!)

Everytime I'm visiting Farnborough, I have dinner at this beautiful restaurant. Great service and even better food. I simply love the spicy Naga Chicken. Highly recommended. 5 stars, AAA, 1+++

I had a takeaway from here last night. Steaming hot and tasty food, which was also very well packed and presented. The little bags are lovely. When I walked into the restaurant to collect my order, the restaurant was very clean and well presented. The decor was bright and minimalist. The staff are very well dressed, and very efficient. It is very surprising that with the whole set up, and quality of food, that the prices are that of a regular takeaway. A little gem in Farnborough, and I cannot wait to visit and have a dine in meal.

Good food, a little less spicy for my taste but when you ask they make it as per you. The best I found in this place is palak paneer, must try. Peshawari naan is also good.

The service was terrible. A large group arrived while we were there and the staff proritised those rather than also seeing to our group. We werent offered anymore drinks and we made to feel in the way. We wont be returning to them in the future.

Poor effort from Diwali tonight! Order turned up but was missing onion bhajis and a naan bread, ran out and spoke to the driver who said he would come back with the missing items. The driver did come back but still missing the naan bread! When informing the driver that we were still missing a naan bread he replied with I'm not going back again!!

Ordered only naans and received and had to pay for a huge order of dishes we definitely did not order or needed... sadly we will not use again after over 6 yrs of our continual happy service. Terrible customer service.

Dishes varied from tasteless, to burnt, to wrong dish (paneer used instead of chicken). Don't bother.

Normally really good food at a reasonable price. Along with my normal choices I ordered the sharing platter for two. Sounded great on the menu but a bit pricey. I thought I’d give it the benefit of the doubt and try it. Upon arrival at the restaurant to collect, I was waiting for the best part of five minutes before the server got to me. Gave my details and he lifted a bag from the bar behind him. I asked if the food was still hot as I’d been there for 5 mins by now. I was assured it was still hot. I paid for my food and left. I traveled the five minute journey home and then served the food. At this point it was luke warm! The sharing platter was a total let down (see pic). I paid £9.50 for this! Absolutely shocking! Never again!

Ordered from Uber Eats, took over a hour to arrive when the time stated was 25-40 mins Food was cold. Chicken tikka masala had absolutely no taste at all! Diwali naan was stale and inedible 80% thrown straight Into the bin! Waste of money

Delivery 45 mins late. Tracker would not work. Restaurant wouldn't answer the phone. Arrived cold. Food was tasteless and really not good. Would not recommend at all.

Best curry in the area. The restaurant is quite basic but the food is outstanding. The lamb is melt in the mouth.

Drinks and poppadum's ordered. They both arrived quickly but the drink order was incorrect and the poppadum's stale. I ordered a chicken tandoori starter which resembled a small drum stick which was very salty and a red mess. Having just finished the starter, the main course arrived. The main dish was chicken Madras. Again very poor. My opinion was that the chicken had been re - heated and the sauce made previously. Definitely not fresh.. The naan bread was also a disaster. This was supposed to be garlic and coriander. The waitress said that the chef had no coriander so he cooked it with lots of green chillies instead. All in all a very disappointing meal in a restaurant that had no atmosphere . I wont be returning...

AVOID!!!! Did not deliver the order i made via uber eats. Man on the phone was very rude to me and my wife - just said it was out for delivery, not once apologised or gave me an updated time for delivery - then to top it off they stopped answering the phone! Still waiting for my refund via uber. We will not be using this place ever again!

Last minute booking as me and my wife really wanted to eat out. I would normally visit the Everest but they were full. We have some quality Indian restaurants and takeaways in the area and me and my wife embarrassingly have probably tried them all. The food here was not what I would expect from a restaurant with such good reviews. The food although acceptable tasted like it came from either a jar or ready made paste. The traditional British Indian curry flavour was completely absent. If instead it would have been a more traditional authentic Asian menu then I would not be complaining. It was neither. The staff looked stressed, unhappy and not able to cope with the covid restrictions. This was obvious in the quality of the food. Very disappointing. Will not be returning.

Order never arrived! Seems like i am not the only person this has happened to reading the review below. Ordered via uber eats, me and my wife called once it took an hour! - man on the phone was extremely rude on both occasions - didnt once apologise, just said it was out for delivery? But never turned up!! I am still waiting for my refund from uber. Terrible service - why take the orders when you cant fulfil them. Typical - after the money .

Ordered online after eating previously in-house. Was given an estimated 30-50mins (not unusual around here). I started trying to call them at about the 1hr 20 mark....phone rang off the hook for over 20 mins only for it finally to be answered. The person on the end of the phone was extremely short with me and just said 'all I can tell you is all orders are on the way, 20 minutes tops' and then hung up on me. The food finally arrived exactly 2hrs after ordering - and I managed to get the driver to admit he'd only collected it 15mins before. So, the restaurant lied. To top that whole debacle off the food was almost cold, sides had gone stale (from sitting for so long I expect) and items were missing. Pretty pathetic service really. And no excuse for the blatant lying. Avoid!

I have been a long time customer of theirs but not anymore!I placed an order via Uber Eats. They missed the ETA and wouldn't update when requested. Finally got through on the second number. Manager was rude and requested for me to cancel the order as they were so busy. I cannot cancel an in-progress order! Why did they accept orders if they have no intention or fulfilling it? Terrible unprofessional customer service.Never going back to these jokers.

Ordered via Uber Eats at 7.05pm, said food would take 30-50 minutes. By 8.20pm it still hadn't arrived and we called their phone number repeatedly for about half an hour with no answer. When we did get through they said all the current orders were out for delivery and the driver left 20 minutes ago. They didn't ask us for any details, basically said the food was on the way and there was nothing else they could do. It arrived at 9.05pm, two hours after we ordered. The driver said he left the restaurant 10-15 minutes before he got to us. The food was almost cold, the naan was missing and tbh it didn't taste that great. Really awful service.

Delivery was at least 1 hour 35 minutes late. It was impossible to track the delivery hence had to call the restaurant 2-3 times only to be told that deliveries are running late and will be there soon. I can understand this can happen sometimes but the situation was handled very immaturely by the restaurant. The gentleman on the phone was fast to ask me to wait but was not apologetic for what it is. Food was average I won’t lie but it was not worth waiting for. Disappointing experience.

Not sure if lockdown has affected the cooking, but the quality of curries were very below par.For example Chicken not cooked in sauce, no spices in the curry, dhall had no seasoning, etc When I tried to call next day to mention this, the phone kept ringing on and on...Please do not be put off Diwali is usually a great place to eat and get a takeaway. Just on this occasion it was pretty poor, let’s hope the chef picks up his level of servicing.

Food was delicious and delivered in good time. Unfortunately they forgot our drink and I havent been able to contact them since everytime I tried to call it would go to voice mail or just hang up. I left a voice mail (this was 2 days ago now) but no one got back to me I also emailed but never got a reply.

I have been visiting some Indian Restaurants in UK for few months, but this is the best indian restaurant by a fair margin. Very good and authentic service. The staff is well mannered. Speedy service.

Number one curry house in North Camp wouldn’t go anywhere else. Lovely manager and staff and always made to feel welcome. If your visiting you must try the Chicken Chettinand, it’s an absolute winner

The best curry in Farnborough! We have been eating here for several years and cannot fault the food. Whenever we eat at other curry houses around the UK they are never as good as Diwali. The chicken chettinand in particular, is fantastic.

Went Diwali restaurant for takeaway meal for the first time.This on advice from a friend.restaurant appeared pleasant.And then all down hill.Miserable staff member,couldn't even manage a smile for start.when collecting meal 15 minutes later still same.Got home dished up.Found chicken bone dry overdone.no flavour in curry.bombay potato hard.and rice awful.Could have got a better ready meal from the shops.. definately the worse Indian ever tasted.give this place a MISS !!.

Great food, wine & service. It may seem an odd thing to focus on but Diwali makes the best Naan Bread I've eaten.

We have visited Diwali couple of times and got takeaway multiple times. Every time the food is amazing. The portion size is good, the taste is authentic Indian, which you hardly get in any of the Indian restaurants. Lots of vegetarian options and food is made according to your taste. The staff is friendly. Its a hidden gem of Farnborough.

Food was Ok. Service excellent. Store decoration very dated and dirty walls and doors. It needs at least wall panting, new descent decoration and cleaning or replace the toilet doors (they are filthy like no one cleared them ever). At least the customers should feel comfortable to enjoy their food.
