Very good food, nice variety of South Indian dishes, drinks and desserts, and very cheap prices. The decoration is nice although it is easy to miss from the outside when walking past! Definitely recommend the lemon rice.

A great experience for the price. The dosa are crispy and come with a wide range of accompaniments. You will not leave hungry!

Popped in here on the way back from Southampton to Croydon. The food was excellent. I particularly liked the vegetable uthappam. I tried a salt lassi for the first time and really enjoyed it. The interior is basic but the staff were friendly. Will definitely come back whenever I'm close.

Visited the place with and treated in way that , they don’t care anything about the customer . Went with my wife and waited for about 25 mins and no one cared to even say a hi . The shop only had 2 other people and yet acted like they are busy . We had to leave the place . Request the management to keep someone who is interested in the job and really care about the business . Honest Thought . I have tried restaurant before and frankly Food here is definitely good 👍 But service 👎 Huge Disappointment!!!

Found this place just a stone throw away from Premier Inn, its small the first day I walked past as its not much to look at, but seemed busy none the less.. first day tried the mutton curry just wow tasty, spicy, fresh soft roti was like home from home.. decent portion left me enough for lunch next day, I went back for second day, if you enjoy authentic Indian food and you find yourself here.. try it..

I recently visited here in Farnborough along with 4 family members during lunch hour, and it was an absolutely dreadful experience from start to finish. I wish I can give zero star. The establishment was severely short-staffed, which led to significant delays and disorganization. When we inquired about the staffing situation after extensively long wait, the manager/owner displayed shockingly irresponsible and rude behavior. Instead of addressing our concerns professionally, he dismissively told us it was none of our business, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, we had specific dietary requirements for our meal, which the manager initially agreed to accommodate. However, they completely disregarded our requests, showing a blatant lack of attention to detail and care for their customers. This negligence could have had serious health implications for my family member. The manager's behavior was especially egregious. He was not only disrespectful but also demeaning, particularly towards my family elder. His lack of basic customer service etiquette and outright disdain for our concerns made us feel unwelcome and undervalued. The overall service was abysmal, and the manager's hostile attitude only exacerbated the situation. It's clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority at House of Dosai. The combination of terrible service, unprofessionalism, and disrespect made our visit to Farnborough memorable for all the wrong reasons. We left the place without having our meal. I strongly advise against dining at this establishment if you value decent service and respect as a customer. This place is a total no-go.

Great little place. You'll love it if you love authentic food from restaurants. Be warned, if you don't like overly spicy foods, you may struggle finding something, but staff are very helpful and they will try and give you a milder option.

Very nice place. Decent tasting food and reasonably priced. Could do with a refurbishment. When we visited, there was a special of muttons rolls. We ordered 2 portions and one of the rolls wasn't cooked inside. They one charged for one portion. Dosai was very nice Would definitely recommend.

My sister and I came here for dinner and I'm so glad that we did. We ordered one masala dosa, one puri masala, one uthappam and sambar vadai. I loved the dosa, uthappam and puri. I also had a salt lassi and my sister ordered a rose milk. The masala dosa had very little filling so we ordered more. The toilet here was interesting and could use some work. Overall loved the food and I would love to come here again.

I am really disappointed with the takeaway ordered as it is was old and soggy. Spoke to the person but they didn't even offer an apology or correct it They used to do well but their food has gone down the hill recently. Probably they would improve after this

Food was excellent very authentic South Indian food. Would have given 5 stars but service is a little slow. There were 4 in our party and none of the food was delivered at the same time. Saying that we will definitely be coming back for the food. The mutton biryani was especially tasty. Took a takeaway on 22/5/24, service was much better than last time ordered online and picked up within 25 mins, order was ready when I arrived. The Bhatura was really good and authentic and the mutton biryani was also really good, be warned if you don’t like meat on bones this dish does have a lot of bones.

The food is just like the Indian food. It is exactly as if you're eating in India. I tried the masala dosa , the size of the dosa was very big it was out of the plate I was very happy to see it and after eating I was more happy. 😃😃😃😃 We also tried Chloe bhature, fish curry and rice. Everything tasted good.

What a secret gem this place was. We came for a kids bday party in the neighbourhood and we needed a quick lunch and found this as we drove past. The Chettinad massala dosa was incredible and came with chutneys and sambar. Also ordered a portion of mutton rolls which came with mint sauce. The portion size are great and the price is affordable, so no reason not to sample the food.

The best dosas I have had in this country. Thin, crispy, not too oily, lots of different filling options, just super-super delicious. We come here often, definitely recommend. It has a nice laid back atmosphere as well. I love it.

I've had very little South Indian food in the past, so this was a real treat. I love the simplicity of the restaurant and the authenticity of the food. Everything look impressive, tasted amazing. We had the Masala dosai and a mutton curry with paratha. I cant wait to return again to try more dishes!

The best Indian in town guaranteed!

While the food was good, the quality of the service was not at all satisfactory. There was delay and when enquired when the food will arrive, the staff kept on saying 5 minutes. We waited for 25 minutes for one dosa (we were the only customers in the restaurant) which never arrived. Eventually we had to leave.

Chanced upon this hidden gem. Amazing food, their dosas and pillow soft idlis means the batter used is fresh. Very good pricing too. Definitely coming back!

Fantastic food. Chicken 65 was so tasty. Egg curry amazing flavours and chicken masala dosai was A*. Best Indian food I’ve had in a long time!

The food here is excellent. Not the standard fare that you will find in a curry house and it's perfectly spiced for those that can appreciate the bold flavours on offer. The only downside is that there's not much room so it can get quite cosy if there are a lot of you.

Food is ok, veg dishes probably best. Masala dosa is good. Service is very slow, a bit hit & miss, waited ages for someone to take our order. Even though there were only 2 other people in. Orders do not arrive together, which is okay. Some dishes seem over priced.

1 beer, 1 poppadom, 1 curry 6 pieces of meat and 10 pieces of cauliflower. £31 awful value for money . Delivery. Called as I thought the delivery guy must have eaten some and he confined this was right

Very good dosai and one of the best mutton biryani!!!!

Dosa or Dosai is a dish from South India which is flat crispy mostly, similar to a pan cake. House of Dosai serves most dishes that you would see in restaurant in South India. The dosas are limited to plain, masala and Rawa. All of them are good well backed by sambar. The chutney could have been better. It Das served cold, and that probably took away the taste. We also ordered sambar vadai and that was good and filling. It can be considered like a full meal, and if you are not hungry enough you may struggle to finish it.

Loved the food. If you are craving for proper Sri Lankan South Indian food this is a great place to visit. Family friendly. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming. Really worth the price you pay. Parking is a bit tricky. Probably will have to park somewhere nearby and walk to the place

5 Star for everything. If you want to taste the traditional south Indian( Chettinad style) biryani, here is your destination. All good items have superb taste and we always visit once a month. Kudos to the shop and the running team mates. Must visit shops if you are in Farnborough & Aldershot towns.

I ordered takeout, and food was pretty bad, not cooked properly, and starters were dripping oil. Takeout was package horribly. They just threw food in a cover and handed it over, i think.

Very friendly staff. Good Automatic South Indian food. Loved Dosa, Chicken Biryani, rasam soup was mouthwatering; very high standard food well presented. Strongly recommend to visit and try if you are foody and love to try something different locally.

Ordered biryani and uttapam for collection, said ready to collect in 15-20 minutes. We reached in half hour and dish wasn’t prepared. Reason given was they forgot. This is not the first time. On top of this no salt in both dishes. Horrible service, horrible food. Food quality initially was good, however with time, we had series of bad experience. Service was always issue with them, once waited 30 min beyond the committed time. This review is after series of bad customer experience. Saying sorry is not always the solution. Hope they improve.

Staying in an apartment close by we popped in for a quick light bite at 9:15 on a Sunday night hoping it would be still open. We found the place packed with more people arriving. Despite our simple order we were made to feel welcome. We waited for the food getting hungrier thanks to the amazing smells. Our take out potato masala dosa was amazing. The dosai was crispy, yet soft and filled with a really well spiced potato mixture. I could have happily eaten a bowl of the Sambar, and will order it as main when we come back for a full meal. An amazing choice of options for z vegetarian.

It is rare for me to give a 5:0 rating to every aspect of what makes an outstanding meal out. There was this amazing smile as I was greeted by the staff… followed by the most authentically prepared dosai I ever had in England! The masal tea & rose milk reminded me of all the mamak stores in Msia… the cook came to say hello as I was sighing so loud with such contentment, I think he heard me! Absolutely spectacular food!

The value for what you get is unbelievable, the dosai would have been enough but I was fooled by the cost of everything. I was thinking they would be small portions but was incredibly wrong. The dosai and lemon rice was by far the nicest thing I tried. It did take a while to have our food brought out to us, it would have been fine if we were not in a rush

Small decently priced and Ok. Mysore masala dosa - It’s ok good one but not best. The quantity and taste was good but not that great. But for the price it’s good. My 5?year old son enjoyed it Poori masala - This is best and tasty for the price Mixed Bhai - Again it’s ok but for the price it’s not worth it Masala tea - Not a must try item for the price. Over all it’s good but not a must try restaurant but I will still recommend if you are going to Farnborough and fancy about South Indian it’s a good reasonable restaurant

Really nice masala dosa takeaway, packaging could be a bit better to keep dosa fresh and crispy but overall authentic tasty south Asian flavours will order again!

From the outside you would never know how good this place is. The dosai are fantastic, a real treat. Equally the curries and rice are super tasty. Probably the only place that's worth eating in in farnborough.

Was so excited to have Farnborough’s first vegetarian restaurant. Only to be now really disappointed that they’re now serving meat. Why?? What a shame. 🙁

Superb place for a quick visit. Service was great. Dosa was authentic and superb taste. Place is small though but not to complain. Public parking nearby (in fact if you spend something at Sainsburys, parking can be free - see signs). Filter coffee was authentic! We will come back again!

Excellent food. We have tried Dosa, chicken Biryani, Lamb Biryani, Gobi65, Chollai Bathura, Carrot Gajar halwa, Samosa and Chillie chicken on different occasions. Fresh Roti/chapati was awesome today. Food is so delicious therefore we have been going there 1 day a week since opening day. Service has been improved well but still needs a bit improvement. Big thumbs up and thanks to SAM to bring this delicious food to Farnborough

Ordered a take away. Told 15-20 min but waited 35 min. Not a good start. When I finally got home the Chicken Kadai had no chicken, it was a paneer, a Kadai paneer. Someone, hopefully not a vegetarian, had ours. The restaurant itself has extremely bright lights inside. Zero ambience. Not ideal to dine in at all. Glad I had a takeaway. The food was really tasty. Really tasty. I have been offered a refund/ free dish upon return. I'll update the review when this happens. It could well be 5 stars because the food is spectacular.

This is seriously good Southern Indian food. Recommend the Gobi 65, Onion Bhaji, Chettinad Dosai, Vegetable Biryani and Sambar combo.

It started as a good option in Farnborough but sambhar is not that spicy and aromatic as it should be. Sambhar tastes more like normal dal. They need to start asking the spice level in sambhar while taking orders - not everyone has same expectation.

Pretty decent place, enjoyed the dosa and cholay bhatooray. Service is good too and it’s a clean place. I didn’t like the chai though, maybe cause I was expecting a Pakistani style chai. Price wise a few things are a bit on the expensive side though. Been there twice now and would love to go back

I have officially fired every other indian takeaway/restaurant anywhere near me! The food here is amazing! Forget everything you know or knew about an Indian takeaway. This food at this place is off the chart! The restaurant itself is small, lacking the softening effect of traditional decor and character and can "feel" a bit cold and hard, but it's clean, warm and functional. There are very few seats, i think i counted a 6 seater, 4 four seaters and a 2 seater table, my wife and I arrived early (about 6) and by the time we were nearing the end of our meal the place was at capacity with a group waiting outside for a table to become free. If you're fussy about service (like i am) you may be a little disappointed when you first arrive, however, the staff are polite and receptive to a little tug in the right direction, but once I had my large bottle of Kingfisher beer in front of me I soon settled down and began to peruse the menu. The menu was a mix of a few things i knew (samosas) and things i didn't (okra half gravy) to name a couple that we ordered, my wife and I mostly go veggie and there was plenty for the veggie and meat eater alike to order from this menu. The veg fried rice we had was delicious and non-greasy, the korma the wife had was fresh, delicious and nothing like what i've seen before from a "normal" curry house. The portions sizes were good and the prices too. So to sum up... Restaurant lacks a little "character", the service needs work, but alllllll is forgivable for that food, i cannot wait to get down there and try something else off of that menu. Also, a guy, i'm assuming is the owner is out on the floor too with his staff, he was friendly, polite, chatty, and seemed to have this little "knowing" smile on his face that the food is incredible and he is proud to share it.

I ordered the plain dosa and it was delicious! Perfectly crisp and light and the sauces served with it were delicious. I also ordered poori and that was equally delicious. It was so light and fluffy, and the potato served with it tasted incredible. I also highly reccommend the samosas. It comes with a very tasty sweet sauce that tastes like nothing I've ever tried before. It blew my mind. My only issue with the restaurant was the confusing service. The waiter explained a dish confusingly and we ended up with an extra plate of poori thar we didn't want but accidentally ordered because of how they explained things. Other than that, it was great. Highly recommend this place, it's a real hidden gem in Farnborough and the price is quite cheap considering how big the portions are.

This is possibly the best Indian meal I’ve ever had. The menu isn’t a typical British-Indian restaurant and that makes it so much better. It’s awesome!!!!
