Been visiting this restaurant for many years, same owner and still some of the same staff along with new replacement staff who was also very friendly, helpful, always made to feel very welcome and looked after, good old style traditional Indian restaurant & service which is sadly very rare these days , they do a good value set meal with poppadoms chutney tray, good selection of almost all the traditional Indian starters and mains, had the mixed starter and a chicken jalfrezi😋, pilau rice and plain nann followed by a kulfi pistachio ice cream. All very enjoyable and highly recommended. 👌

bhajis were stale as was the 2 nan breads, the curry tasted sour and the fries were overly greasy. a terrible experience at a costly price.

Back to its best, absolutely gorgeous. Chicken tikka masala, mushroom pilau rice. Will defo order again.

Best curry restaurant in the world

must have been a busy night as waited a long time for the food but still within estimated slot. me and my family thought it was well worth the wait. portion sizes are great and the food is flavoursome and well cooked..you can tell this is top quality restaurant food, just brought to your door for convenience! Will be ordering again!

We ordered a takeaway for 3 people; starters, mains and papadums with dips.The wait was a bit long but it was a Saturday night and we're not that nearby. When the food arrived, it was delivered with a smile and was piping hot and delicious. I have never eaten from this place before but it was recommended and didn't disappoint. Loved the lemon rice and vegetable dansak. It was so tasty. I would order from here again.

My family have been coming here over 30 years, I used to live in Burnage just off Kingsway and have such amazing memories of family meals here. We don't live locally now so haven't been for some years. I had some bad news and my husband suggested coming her for a treat and due to the great memories and laughs as well as superb service, it used to be like visiting a friend. We took our seat and were served very thin popudums, I ordered chicken tikka, it tasted like it had been cooked in butter and sort of wet, the curry sauce that came with it was salty, my husbands meal was ok but didn't have much taste. It was clear I was visibly upset due to news I had just received. The waiter took our plates away and it was obvious they hadn't even been half eaten and didn't ask was all ok, didn't ask if we wanted more drinks or desert or coffee or anything . We must have been 25 minutes in there it was a poor experience and it sounds crazy but it has taken away some amazing memories - I can see the reviews are a little mixed. If I hadn't been upset I would have mentioned it there and then....

This place is very good poppadoms and chutneys really good starters very good my curry was a little disappointing very dry but the Mrs was lovely wasn't keen on the chicken tikken bit tough sundries were lovely was very pricey for a local curry house but would go again defo oh soft drinks were flat cleary out of a 2 litre bottle disappointing because they wasn't cheap

The chips were discussing and the nuggets were ok never again it was ok customers service but there were being noisy

I’ve had plenty of curry’s in my life and this one was absolutely awful !! Food was cold, madras sauce was like eating a bowl of sugar, no spice what’s so ever. When we told the manager he didn’t even offer to bring something else out he just said I’m sorry which I thought was bang out of order. Avoid !!

This is the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to. They've made us wait over half an hour for the starters, they didn't even offer us poppadoms (which they did to other tables). We had to wait over half an hour again for our mains. When they did finally arrived my friend's chicken curry was just barely heated in the microwave, cause it wasn't even hot and my butter chicken was extremely sweet (mild shouldn't be the same as sweet surely!) and jelly like texture, which makes me think it wasn't even cooked at all. When we mentioned it to the staff, they did offer to fix it, but we had lost our patience with all the bloody waiting. Nothing was deducted of the bill either when it arrived. This is the worst Indian restaurant I have ever been to.

I’ve been looking for years for a decent curry house in Manchester and this is best so far, it’s no Imrans in Golcar, which is unrivalled, but it does the job. 5/5

Absolutely amazing flavour, taste, service, ambience, the staff are so attentive, the owners are always serving personally themselves, I've yet to eat at an establishment where no matter who you are, you are treated and fed as though you are a personal friend. I can say, with all honesty, you shall not be disappointed if you eat from here.

Rude staff, no salad and cold food. Ashamed to say I gave them a penny. Avoid at all costs.

Very good quality, but what I am really disappointed is the quantity , For what I paid it was pitiful , and for that reason , I won't be ordering again, better to make it yourself. I had really hoped to enjoy this , but I suppose the the cost of living crises , is what effecting everything nowadays, In short could have bean and done better for price, I cannot reccomend

Really nice food. Our only gripe was that none of the containers were full - the curries were only about 2/3rd of the tub. Nice overall but we were a little shocked at £4.25 for 3 bhajis. Good quality though.

Usually the food is really good but today it wasn't, sheek kebab smelt slightly off, won't be ordering again unfortunately

The chicken Nambali was absolutely superb 👌🏻 The lamb in the biryani just fell apart in the mouth, Would definitely recommend and will definitely be ordering again, I just hope it's not a fluke.

Not tried this place for a long time thought id give it another go.Ordered online was told it would be ready for 19.57, picked it up on time. Could understand a little if it was busy, only one table occupied. The order was wrong the food was cold, and I mean all of it . My wife actually said if i hadn't picked it up she wouldn't have thought it had come from there. Not even worth a phone call back to them it was that bad. Never again

Generally decent here but disappointing this time. Lovely big tender pieces of fish in the fish balti but the sauce was so lemony, it tasted like sweet and sour, couldn't taste any spice over the citrus, not what we wanted and most went uneaten. Spicy popadoms were burnt and blackened, annoying at £1 a pop. Chicken pakora are consistently good. Keema mutter tasted good but the mince should be broken up more.

Really disappointed with my meal, no salad with the Bajis so pretty dry, the chicken tikka masala was runny and tasteless, the chicken was so tough I actually spat it out. They were delivered in plastic containers this time, the last time I ordered they came in tin foil cartons so I’m not sure if the food was just chucked in the microwave to warm it up but it was horrible. Sorry Tandoori Royal so bad tonight.

Very disappointed food was cold the tandoori chicken was dry we have had food at the restaurant which as always been very nice but this take away was awful and ended up in the bin

First time ordering and really impressed. Fish Rezalla packed with chilli and really tasty. Saag Aloo was also full of flavour. Pakora had unusually light & crispy batter but could have done with more spices. Only real disappointment was the lamp chops, they were a slightly overcooked and quite bland. Wouldn't order those again, but will be back for the rest! Delivery was 20 minutes before estimated range.

Terrible service. Have ordered from this restaurant for many years and tonight they refused my order, after taking payment, due to my address being too far away. Requested that I cancel the order from their app (orderyoyo) which is impossible, so I have had to open a dispute with PayPal. Will never order again from this restaurant.

Beautiful food as always, we ordered a fish tikka starter,prawn cocktail and a house special Akhani Murgi which is delicious. Great staff and service to. The restaurant is lovely too.

I ordered lamb saag and it was very bland, there was no spices, it wasnt flavoursome. I also think it needed salt and pepper. The lamb was alright though. It's a shame because I had not had an Indian takeaway in months. I was left very disappointed.
