Great service from start to finish. Great food cooked to your test . Good sensation on the menu. From the every day currys to the chefs special. Could recommend a trip to it .

Driver went to wrong house and left the food at someone else’s door he needs to be sacked asap!

Very small portions, rubbish chips, not much meat. Very dissappointed from a restaurant

Spent £40 on 2 biriyanis , one kebab & 1 curry Even tho I thought it was overpriced I place the order to take out regardless as I have eaten here in the past and the food was always good ! This time was not the case both biriyanis were tasteless rice was mushy and bland meat was scars ! The vegetable curry that came with the biriyanis was disgusting was like a mixture of frozen vegetables dumped into a tin of baby food the smell was revolting whilst the kharari curry I got was none better more ciniman stick than meat !!! All in all was one big disappointment I know cost of living is high and restaurants struggle but so do we & we are paying good money for this food the least they could do is put some effort into making the food taste good ! Please do better

What a hidden gem this restaurant is, so welcoming from moment we entered food glorious and proper homecooked chips 😋 all 3 curries ordered were hot and lush. the staff went out of there way to satisfy us even provided my son extra mango for his poppadoms. Added extra is its so reasonably priced compared to some restaurants will def return when football arnt on hence why the atmosphere rating isn't filled thanks dilshad we enjoyed and have passed ur business on

I’ve walked past this place hundreds of times and never thought much of it. Today I fancied a curry, so order from here wow. Beautiful, fresh, and authentic. The portion sizes was just right, the curry sauce was beautiful, rice nice and fresh and the Nan bread just gorgeous. I don’t have curry often but from now on i’ll always go here. Also, really good price and super speedy delivery.

Just had An Uber eats delivery from Dilshad, a place I haven’t been in years and the food was delicious. Great portions and perfectly cooked. We had chicken tikka masala, lamb tikka, tarka dhal with popadoms and a garlic naan. All tasted amazing. We will definitely be ordering again.

The food was awful. Miniscule portions and not very good. We wont bother ever again. Also only us and another family in. The waiter turned the tv up to full volume.

Ive had curries all over uk and abroad this was the most vile was like the smallest amount of meat about 7 pieces about a 10mm diameter served in a disgusting sloppy vile masala please avoid at all cost threw up when i got home. The rice was normal Rate 0/10

Never had such a bland meal lol n my life. Onion bhaji thuddy and went in the bin, tandoori prawns over cooked and chewy, followed the bhaji, Byriani had no flavour at all and no omelette on it, that went in the bin as well. Even the garlic nan had no flavour of garlic and followed the rest to the bin. Worst meal ever.

Inedible. Not sure what the piece of wood was doing in the mushroom rice but this was only one of the issues. Chicken tikka masala was the worst I have ever tasted. The chicken was chewy and I had to embarrass myself and spit it out in front of my guest. The lamb was grizzly and fatty and chewy. Never had a keema naan like this one, it was awful. Whole meal was appalling and I will never use this restaurant again

Have always visited the restaurant so decided to get takeaway. Food hot and as nice as it always is. Won’t be going anywhere else for takeaway now. Delivery charge a bit steep at £4 !

Ordered veggie Paneer Tikka Masala - called the restaurant and asked if they could make this as not on the menu and they said yes of course. It’s my favourite dish and was expecting to be disappointed given the crappy reviews on here. Also ordered x2 chapati, pilau rice, veggie samosas and a side of Aloo Gobi. Total £18!!!! Delivered on time - piping hot, the tikka masala was one of the best I’ve ever tasted with tandoori charred paneer and the most delicious sauce, the rice was aromatic and flavourful, samosas home made as were the chapatis. I’ve lived in India and know my curries - this was outstanding.

Very disappointing! Saturday night treat that ended up in the bin. Whilst ordering I asked THREE times for no coriander as my partner has a massive dislike to it and won’t touch anything it’s in. The guy taking the order shrugged off what I’d said hence me repeating it again twice. Full of coriander!! I ate some but partner wouldn’t touch it. Even with the coriander the lamb karai was very bland tasted more like korma no spice at all, Chips were rock hard tasted like raw potatoes that wasn’t fresh. Onion barji’s one was nice and soft one was rock solid couldn’t even break it with my hands never mind my teeth! Rang to say they had put coriander in after I’d said it 3 times, not a care in the world once they’ve had my money. Said oh we are sorry about that, no offer to replace or refund it. Will not be ordering again, used to be a great takeaway but gone down hill massively

Went too the Dilshad tonight with my partner for the first time since lock down. I am amazed at how it has changed in the decor,the quality of the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and the price is very reasonable. Will definitely recommend it to everyone who wants a relaxed meal

The most tastless and bland curry I have ever tasted very disapointed will most definitely not be ordering again I would go as far as to say this was the worst curry I have ever ordered . I ordered Chicken tikka masala and my partner ordered lamb bhuna we both thought the same chips were not nice nan bread was the best part. Very very poor

As always the service and food was amazing. This was the first time we have eaten in a restaurant since early 2020 and could not have asked for anything more.

Top Marks - use this restaurant for collection and dining in (when allowed) and the food & service is always excellent. Pleased to say my first order via Just Eat didn't disappoint. Food quality excellent & piping hot. Delivery was requested asap and arrived within 30 mins. Only drawback is the £4 delivery fee, but would certainly use again if I couldn't collect.

Really nice food, they accidentally forgot part of the order (it happens) but they were swiftly right around with missing food and apologising after phoning. The chicken balti was amazing. My son had the masala which I finished and was really really tasty the chicken was perfect aswell. Top marks all round best curry’s in the area.

There was a slight issue getting my order confirmed on Just Eat, so I rang the restaurant - they were already aware of the issue and were rectifying it. They couldn't have been more helpful. My order was delivered quickly and the delivery driver was extremely pleasant. I used to go to the Dilshad on nights out many years ago so I thought I'd give it a go for old times sake - the food was just as good as I remember it. I'll definitely be using them again. Excellent all round.

Ordered a takeaway from what is normally a good restaurant.I was given chips which can only be described as mummified,clearly a few days old.The curry was supposed to be Jalfrezi but was extremely bland and the chicken really,really tough,with hardly any fresh chillis.A box meal from Tesco would have been fresher.Very dissapointed and mightily let down after spending £20+ on a family takeaway which was thrown away.

THEY ARE OPEN for takeaways during lock-down. Delivery or collect and they practice social distancing. Same great food and excellent service. Our food was excellent. They are working hard to keep going, please try and support a local business.

We go here quite a lot. Have been going for about 15years. The good is lovely and the service excellent. Whenever we want an Indian meal Role has is our first choice.

Ordered a takeaway for the whole family but have eaten in many times. Have to say no matter what you order, it's done to perfection, always cooked fresh and piping hot. You'd be hard pushed to find cheaper anywhere in the country. Waiters are the friendliest you'll ever find and nothing is too much trouble. Have eaten before at loads of restaurants throughout Manchester and this place knocks the spots off even the best in Rusholme's curry mile.

Estuve de vuelta en Moston después de vivir, escuché hace muchos años y decidí volver a visitar el Dilshad ya que me alojaba en el Premier Inn, que está a 10 minutos a pie. Valió la pena. De hecho, me acerqué a la especia de Mumbai, que estaba más cerca, pero me desanimé por el desorden y los camareros que mostraban barbas de estilo extremista (con bigotes afeitados, estilo ISIS), así que no me quedé.Afortunadamente mi paseo extra fue recompensado. No solo con buena comida, sino con una gran conversación con Abdul, el camarero que creció en Manchester a partir de padres bengalíes que emigraron aquí en los años 70. ¡Qué gran Mancunian!Volviendo a la comida que era excelente y desearía haber comido más. Entrante mixto con cordero tandoori que era excelente. Methi Gosht (cordero sustituído amablemente por pollo sin ningún problema) y todos los acompañamientos habituales.Realmente es el mejor restaurante indio (bengalí / bangladesí) en esta área. La decoración está un poco anticuada pero, sinceramente, no nos importa. Bien hecho muchachos.

This restaurant appears very small from the outside but has plenty of room inside. It is one of the best established Indian restaurants in the area and has been going for more than twenty years. The food is always excellent and the price is great. There's no point going anywhere else around North Manchester, this has to be the best. The place is clean and bright and the staff are all pleasant enough. There are all the usual Indian meals on the menu and the food is cooked to perfection. Can't rate it highly enough. Worth travelling miles for.

Not been here for a while, and i wasn't disappointed ! Food is still excellent all piping hot, the waiters can't do enough for you. We went in last Saturday a party of 10 and all ordered different dishes and we had no complaints Will definitely be going back very soon

My family have been coming here for nearly 14 years. The service is second to none and the food is spectacular. Highly recommend chicken jalfrezi and the naan breads are to die for. We always get the meal deal as it is such good value. The staff are amazing !!

Went to dilshad tonight and got the five course special offer for £10.95,food was superb and you actually got real chips not the frozen rubbish .

The food was brilliant you could really identify different spices and herbs I have never really noticed these before, I would say it is better than some Indian restaurant's in the area. £66.00 for four five course meals with drinks?? Would we go back..defiantly..

I usually prefer Chinese food to Indian food but went here with friends. Everything I ate here was delicious Premises were very clean, Staff were polite Reasonably priced, well worth a visit, recommended.

We have been going to the Dilshad for many years as the service and food has always been good. Tandoori lamb chops are my hubbys favourite and always cooked to perfection. I love the tandoori king prawns. Service always with a smile. Reasonably priced.

Great service, consistently great food

Leaving this review as I am horrified at the behaviour of the staff at this takeaway. We rang to order a delivery to be told they DON'T deliver. We questioned this as it says on the website they do to which we were told "oh wait is it a big order?" And they then agreed to deliver! We ordered but due to an emergency we cancelled 7 MINUTES later and apologised and explained why. They REFUSED to cancel it and gave us a torrent of abuse on the phone and said we were LYING and making excuses! They then hung up on us. A minute later we received a call back off a mobile number and when asked if this was the manager he said yes and continued to abuse us over the phone. They refused to cancel it, called us liars and TOLD us they were coming to our house and we "could not do this" as the order was ready (in FIVE MINUTES after telling us the food would be 45 minutes in the first place!) So after threatening behaviour and abuse rest assured as I informed you on the phone that the phone calls ARE RECORDED as proof and are being sent to trading standards and if anybody else threatens to turn up at my house and rings our number threatening us again, expect a visit from the police. Disgusting - and before any if the loyal customers "that go here every week and can't believe this as they've never had a problem" bother disputing this, remember trading standards will be being contacted and all of this is fully recorded.

Not been here for a couple of years due to working out of country.So pleased to see the dilshad still cooks up fantastic authentic fresh food.We've. Eaten in nearly every curry place in Manchester. From backstreet cafes in northern quarter to high end restaurants, and the dilshad produced so of the best food iv had in a while, even took a doggy bag home which we've just finished off.Fantastic place and staff, please don't change anything.

Visited here a few times now and every time the food has blew my mind everytime i go in i try something new the service has been excellent every time we have been in and the staff were very helpful and greeted us with a smile i would deffinately reccommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great food and a good night

Myself and my husband decided to visit here last minute as we wanted somewhere local so we thought we would give it a try and were not disappointed. Food was really tasty and the staff were lovely. It was really good value for money too and they do a good early bird menu. I would definitely go back.

Staying in Manchester for a night so decided to get a take away from the Dilshad. I was very impressed, Lovely food, very good prices with fast friendly service. Will definitely visit again when I am next in Manchester.

Great food, brilliant atmosphere and the staff are really friendly. However if there is a few of you book in advance as seating is limited.

Been coming here for years and just cant beat it as i tried all curry houses all over the world. Its the best so tasty and fresh a taste you will be addicted to. The staff are so lovely and welcoming they do sit in and take outs, big portions aswel and excellent price. You must try!

We forgot about this place whilst going to Rusholme for the last few years . . .and regret what we have been missing! We were made as welcome as we saw the regulars were. The manager was as welcoming and accommodating as a person could be. The cleanliness of the place made me relax and worry free.The presentation and service was second to none. The starters and authentic taste of the karahi dish we had (including the visual whole spices-always a good sign) meant it would not be long before we'd be back to try the rest of the menu!

This is the best Indian restaurant by far !! My family have been visiting for the last 13 years and the quality and value is amazing. Although the restaurant is small it keeps that friendly relaxed feeling. Whenever we visit we are therefore around 3 hours and never rushed. I just cant recommend them enough.

We visited the Dilshad on Saturday evening at 10.00pm with my family of 5. So friendly, welcoming and the food was freshly prepared and delicious. Service was excellent and very reasonably priced. I have visited other Indian restaurants in the area but none of them have come up to scratch regarding the service or good quality food. Well done Dilshad and how lovely and friendly your staff are!

The best curry around. Dilshad can not be beaten for quality or price. The food is amazing here with staff that can't do enough for you. Everything is fresh,hot and amazing quality. Very cosy and relaxed place. I would reccomend this place to anyone as i have never had a bad meal here in 10+ years. 10 out of 10

To end 2015, my family and I decided to spend our evening at Dilshad Tandoori. On arrival we were greeted by satisfactory customer service and seated at our table. Half way in between our dining experience we were asked to move to a table situated on the opposite side of the restaurant where there were two terrible drafts (which for the end of December, wasn't very pleasing). Over all, the food in which we ordered were delicious but I personally think their dishes could have been presented at a higher standard, even aspects such as a simple side salad. Within the poppadum appetiser, unfortunately my father discovered a long hair during his first spoonful into the pickled onion tray... Although besides the satisfactory customer service, the food was extremely great value for money but I would have been happy to pay more for a better presented dish as the side salad for example was quite pathetic to be honest. Considering the restaurants value for money I would recommend to other customers but I would warn them of their small capacity.

on the 18th of December my beautifully partner booked a table at the dilshad. the meal was fantasic, there is a great choice of food on the menu. the staff were excellent, polit, friendly, and helpful. the food came out piping hot and freshly cooked to order. the premises were spotles. will be going again and can strongly recommend to everyone who likes to eat out.

Just had a great family meal in Dilshad, been visiting on and off for years. Food always been lovely and friendly staff very welcoming. This was first visit for over a year, we won't leave it as long till next visit. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Lamb tikka sagwala was beautiful.

Have been going here since the first week it opened and it never fails to impress. We have since moved away from Manchester but are still drawn back every so often. No where we go can or does compare to the Dilshad. Staff are excellent.

Havent been to the Dilshad for about 5 years so decided to give it a try and see if it was as good as it was - short answer YES! It was excellent, friendly helpful staff, delicious food, very clean and tidy and as they had a 5 course special on it was fabulous value for money. We will definitely be frequenting this wonderful restaurant much more in the future.

My family and I have been visiting the Dilshad for over 25 years it is a firm favourite. The restaurant is lovely, staff are always very polite and provide excellent service. The food is fantastic, especially the Boti Kebabs which are definitely my favourite! Food is always fresh and tasty. It's great to eat in the restaurant or take out. Highly recommend this place.

You cannot fault the food here. it is beautiful. Ladies toilet is not very large but everything else is perfect.
