Chit'n'Chaat in Manchester

Great food, amazing and welcoming staff, went for my 40th birthday meal with my loved ones, just a girlie evening, ran late and had to call twice to rearrange the time slot, no problem what so ever. Very accommodating and friendly members of staff. Great service and everything we ordered (was quite a-bit) was spot on and tasty to say the least. Hot, tasty and beautifully displayed. Great place to enjoy a good cuisine. Thank you for a lovely evening

Everything we had was delicious and they gave us the option of 'mildly hot' - which was really appreciated. Our server was really helpful (and patient!) with us and helped us choose as we had never tried Indian street food before. The food came out really quickly. The toilets were also nice and clean. I highly recommend this - especially if you have never tried it before. Will definitely visit again and hope

We tried the Kheema Dosa for the first time in life and absolutely loved it. We also tried Masala Dosa 5/5, Gobi Manchurian 5/5, Chilly Garlic Chicken 4/5 and Kothu Roti Chicken 4/5, Chicken Lollypop 5/5, Punjabi Veg Samosa 5/5,Papdi Chaat 5/5, Chicken Momo with schezuan sauce 4/5, Tawa Fish Fry 4/5, Mango Kulfi 3/5, Gajar Halwa 3/5,Gulab Jamun 5/5. Drinks were served quickly as we ordered for a Beer, Lychee Martini and a Naga Negroni. We ended our meal with some Masala Chai.

The Pani Puri was excellent, offering great flavor. Definitely worth a try!

I have been to this place a couple of times and recommended to friends.Today we went for breakfast. Biggest mistake.We didn't know they would serve lunch items only after1pm.Four of my friends ordered Bad Boy breakfast and I ordered Chole bature.They served all my friends food orders. They served 4 other customers and made me wait 25 mins before I asked about my order.When i asked, the waitress said '2 more minutes'. Then I waited for a further 20 mins.When it arrived, all my friends had finished eating and my food was cold.i tried the food and left it as just wasn't even worth the wait.Least they could have done is made sure it was hot.Avoid Wilmslow Road branch if you're wanting breakfast.Nice decor.

Enjoy it every time I visit. Definitely try the chicken bun kebabs, I would call it the under dog amongst the lovely food choices.

January 50% off deal was excellent! All 3 of us got a starter/main and dessert. It was very tasty, my Paneer curry was on the spicy side (but I can't hack spice) but the starters were delicious and my Naan bread was good too. If there wasn't 50% off on it would of been a pricey night out 😬 but it was a lovely restaurant and the staff were very attentive and polite, it's in an area of town I've never been to before (new sky scraper apartments) but it's very posh around 'Deansgate Square'.

If you're from India and miss Indian Tea then i highly recommend this place and even dosai and sambar taste traditional ( South Indian flavour) But the size of the restaurant is small so find a seat asap before someone else occupies it 😄

My first visit and it was amazing! The atmosphere is on point. The food is exceptional, especially, the Chilli Paneer and Keema Pav. I will be visiting again. Lalita and Sai were amazing servers. Kudos!

Service is good. Food is ok but very small portions and you still get hungry after.

Came here for breakfast, ommellete was nice but remainder breakfast food was standard but nothing special, service not the best, was unable to get the bombay breakfast as they had no Sauages and were still charging full price and not offering any replacement for the Sauages so only had 3 options to choose from. Should have more variety for breakfast.

Visited Chit n Chat for the first time and must say walked away with good first impressions. The food was authentic and true to its reputation of delicious street food. From the pani puri, chilli chicken, masala dosa, lollipop chicken to the chai, we loved everything we ordered. Will definitely be going again.

Get the chicken roti cus it is slapping

Sooooo good,we enjoyed every single thing,dahi puri is very good in taste,masala dossa is very tasty and perfectly cooked and perfect in taste,sauces are very good and tasty too,pav bhaji is good too but very spicy for me,chicken momos are very good,well prepared and tastefull,but sauce that they gave us with momos was very spicy,anyway it was a very good experience,their service is very fast.

Chilli paneer was very nice. Very weird garlic taste in Vada pau. Pani puri was too spicy. Papri chaat was just okay.

Me and my friend go every week the food is so amazing and always tastes so fresh! There is a male waiter who always very friendly and polite probably one of my favourite restaurants ever

Every time we go to Chit n Chaat, we always rave about how good it is, this visit was no exception! Every dish is bursting with flavour, and we always leave with full (and happy) bellies. Our favourite is the dahi puri, papri chaat, reshmi chicken and the lamb chops (some of the best we’ve had, cooked to perfection!) just to name a few. Staff are always lovely and welcoming, service is great and don’t forget to finish with a massala chai. Perfection.

I was searching chaat shops near me and this lovely restaurant popped up as my first recommendation. We decided to go there, around 1 hour drive with pretty heavy rains. And inspite of being Sunday, restaurant was full. Luckily we got table as soon as we reached. The food was top notch and really quick service. We had pav bhaji-amaazing and good flavours, vada pava- my favourite, mini idli soaked in sambar (8 idlis), papdi chaat and Pani puri (6 pieces- interesting flavours with aloo, some pomegranate tamarind sauce which surprisingly complemented each other tastes) with masala tea and ginger tea. It was definitely worth the drive and effort. Must try if around Manchester area. Will definitely come back to try other dishes in the menu. Reasonably priced- our total was 38 pounds.

Pani Puri khatta was freshly made and had a good balance of spices and tang. Puri ball filled with ample amounts of fruit and savoury filling. Delish

Really delicious food. Every dish was incredibly tasty. The lamb dosa, sev puri and gobi Manchurian were particularly good. Service is really friendly too. Marked down a couple of stars because it was absolutely freezing! It was a really cold night, and it felt like we were sat outside due to the lack of heating. Will definitely be returning though.

Forgot to take any pictures of the food - too busy tucking into it. Called on spec for lunch as it looked interesting passing by. Not disappointed, great and affordable Indian street food, with great service explaining the menu and providing recommendations. Highlight was the chaat, ensure you don't leave without trying it!

Nice authentic Indian Street food. Went with my partner and her mother, both originally from Bangalore. Veggie friendly with is a little rare on Curry mile

This place is overhyped and the food it not all that great I ordered the reshmi kebab I got 3 half piece of a full kebab the portion are very small for the price

Good food. Reasonably priced apart from drinks. Very small drink bottles with high price. The Dahi Puris are on point. Not HMC Approved.

We tried a variety of dishes and we were left very dissatisfied with 2 out of the three things we ordered (excluding the drinks, I'll come to that later). We ordered a portion of the Gol Gappa (Paani Puri on the menu) and they were nice, despite being only half filled with ingredients. That is where our joy ended as we tried the Chicken Haka Noodles and the Chicken Fried Momos. We were advised that the items that Chit 'N' Chaat serve fall under the "mild to medium" spicy category, but we felt that they were mild at best. The Chicken Fried Momos were overcooked and the filling inside had very little taste. We've not had Haka Noodles before and this will probably be the last time we get them. The noodles themselves were of a good quality. We just couldn't stomach (excuse the pun) the taste. I would describe the taste as mildly sweet with a hint of spiciness, and that's being generous. The drinks are also very expensive. £3 for a 200ml coke bottle is ludicrous. Ateast with the Nimbu Paani you get something different at the same price.

Excellent experience, very tasty food that was prepared quickly and a great welcoming service. 2 adults and 2 children, circa £50 for dinner including drinks.

Had great Indian style street food . We tried lots of food like chicken lollipops, seekh kebabs , lamb chops , kutchi dabeli , masala dosa , samosa chaat , chilli garlic prawns 🍤, chicken jala noodles 🍝 and masala tea . Everything was delicious HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Trying this place is a musssstttt !!!!

Went there to try their chat items but it was too early in the day so they were not serving it during that time so ended up trying chola bhatura instead which was also equally tasty !!

Authentic Indian food with reasonable price.worth to visit but make sure you reach early because cafe is tiny so you have to wait little bit more but the service is awesome 💯

We had Sev puri, Dahi Puri, Ragada patties, along with Masala Chai and Kashmir Pink tea. The tea, particularly the masala tea, was excellent. The Sev Puri and Ragada patties were delightful, offering a burst of diverse flavors. As for the Dahi Puri, it's a must-try, but be sure to devour it quickly as it's so good that it disappears in no time.

Friendly service and authentic Indian food in a uncluttered interieur. The buns from the Keema Pav was so soft and nicely buttery that it went perfectly with the slightly spicy minced lamb. The Gajar Ka Halwa is a bouquet of flawors. Go to enjoy your meal there! My reviews are usually strict

Bad service no professionalism’s food was ok not working money

Waitress was lovely. Food was disappointing and overpriced. £7.50 for a the 'reshmi chicken kebab 3 pcs' which is basically a seekh kebab divided into 3 pieces. Nothing to really justify the price. Chaat was okay, but the mango lassi also came into small cups, though it tasted good. Overall just not worth it for a small 'street food' place.

Both me and my son have been ill since we went there! Food poisoning, for a full week we have both had the same symptoms. We don't live together and this place is the only place we have eaten together. Avoid really bad experience.

They have variety of Indian food. Always a busy place at evening snacks but the team always make sure to get you seated at the earliest if you wait. They have a good ambience. We have been visiting alot of times. We always make sure to buy chilli gobi, chai, Pani puri, and dahi Puri. Additionally we always try one new dish during every visit.

We went around lunch time on a Sunday. Ordered few things . Pani puri was nice but be careful it might be too spicy for some. They had green chillies in it. Their dosa and the sauces that came with it were good. Their nimbo pani was very refreshing . One of the best ones I have had so far in England. Their chilli chips were delicious. Stuffed lamb partha was nice too. Samosa chaat was flavoursome. Their chilli garlic king prawns were prepared so well. I enjoyed that the most. It doesn't come with any side so you have to order another dish with it. Would definitely visit again.

Just had the best lunch for a long time. So many good things to choose from. If you like South Indian food this is the place to go. Sad that only passing through otherwise would eat here regularly. Highly recommended.
