Second of the two bundobust in manchester, again you walk down some stairs to get in. Some craft beers on tap, prices for beers are a bit expensive. I didn't have food , but lots of people were eating there veggie food.

Reasonable sized place, decent menu, small tapas size potions. Price's really good for Manchester and the service was excellent. Easy to find, close to tram and bus stops. I went with the vegan Dahl and the bhajis. Wasn't blown away with the food but wasn't disappointed and thought it was good for the price. I would go again. Lots of stairs into the place, you would have to enquire into other accessable options if required.

It’s only fair I start off with the good points. Right now onto the bad points. The slogan is “The Original Indian Street Food & Craft Beer Hall.” Which is very deceiving to say the least. Unfortunately as someone who eats an organic (usually) grass fed multi-nutrient dense tastebud galore balanced diet; I was shocked to learn after reading the full menu, there didn’t seem to be any meat options. However I hadn’t eaten much that day, so assumed I was hallucinating. I then asked my girlfriend if she was seeing what I was seeing - the dread hit me as she indeed was. So in short it’s catered towards vegans/vegetarians which is completely fine, I just wish it was more clear on google or their website. “Original Indian Street Food” should be changed to “Original Street Food”. I’m more Indian than this food and I’m a pale ginger. It’s as if they told one of their apprentice staff members to visit Tesco, close your eyes, spin around and pick random spices from the spice isle. The food just isn’t Indian spices nor spicy in the slightest. As someone who loves Indian cuisine, I actually find it almost insulting. It’s just a mess of random mixed spices put together and hoping for the best. It’s hard to fit what I’m about to say into a normal sentence. So here goes, one of the dishes we had, had rice crispes. I’ll repeat that again, one of the Indian dishes we had, had rice crispes in them. I could really go in on this and try and be funny but it’s not at all a laughing matter. I’m an adult, I don’t eat that stuff at home, I especially don’t expect to eat it when I’m paying good money for Indian street food. You’d be hard begged to find a box of Kelloggs rice crispes in India, so why on earth it’s in street food - beggars belief. “Craft Beer Hall” this statement to be fair is true. It’s a nice interior craft hall style place with craft beer and IPA’s. If that is your thing. Overall this restaurant caters towards you if you are vegan/vegetarian, are into Craft Beer/IPA’s. As someone who isn’t vegan/vegetarian I wouldn’t recommend the place or if you are after authentic Indian food.

We were greeted and welcomed very well. The waiter helped us to choose the meal and thet were nice and delicious. The food was absolutely incredible, unfortunately the small issues I had were that whilst everyone else around us were offered cutlery, menus removed, asked how the meals were. We were forgotten, amongst a crowd of other restaurant goers. As I thanked the waitress who 'served' us, I was met with a cold glare as if I was a piece old meat. That and the fact the specific sharing option for two came with a number of dishes that contained odd numbers, so made it harder to share. Would go again, If I received a different server.

I ended up ordering all veggie options but I wish I ordered the kofta. The veg didn't agree with me the next day. It was cooked well and the waiter was very good but I much prefer a curry to Indian street food. I went there because I was with friends. I just had a coke but one of my friends had lassi that looked nice and another had a mango cocktail. I've not given 5 stars for atmosphere because it wasn't cozy enough for me. If I was a beer drinker maybe I would have loved it there.

We called here before heading to the theatre and had some really good food. We had the veggie sharing platter and it was very tasty. I'm glad the sharer was an option because I was with my mum who isn't usually very adventurous with her food and wouldn't have known what to order so the sharer was good for her to try a bit of everything. It was all very tasty - I can't remember what my favourite plate was called - but it had something like crushed up poppadoms in it and was delicious. I love that this is all veggie - but really who'd know?! The restaurant was packed but they managed to fit us in considering we'd not booked.

We went to this place on Saturday. Cannot comment on the ambience and service as they had just opened and we were the only few ones they were dealing with. The food was sub par. We ordered Egg Burji, Moong chat and panner tikka. The egg bhurji was very dry and lacking flavour. The moong chat has bit on crispy corn which tasted very absurd there was no balance of flavours. The paneer tikka was doused in ketchup. We have been to many Indian restaurants in the UK, would advice to skip.

Sunday lunchtime @ 1:30pm My first time trying Bundobust; I’m aware that this is a chain restaurant with several in many cities (2 apparently in Manchester alone, though this one doesn’t have the brewery!) Wasn’t expecting such a unique and ‘street food’ vibe as you walk down the stairs to this venue. Was promptly sat down albeit alongside a bench of other diners; street food style, I guess? I wasn’t expecting an order-at-the-bar setup but it was all pretty straightforward. Provide table number, order food and drink and wait for the drinks to take back to the table. The beer was good! The Bundobust own Python is refreshing with a hoppy, sweet aftertaste. The food arrived around 20 mins after ordering and everything was provided on paper bowls/plates for that authentic street food feel. The taste of the dishes were really good, the portions were a little lacking but I would say it opens up for you to try different things. It’s more like Indian tapas and they encourage you to order 2-3 dishes each. The paneer tikka was really good with the paneer having a bite to it, without crumbling away. It’s skewered with mushrooms and peppers but would have liked to see more variety of vegetables in it! The Chole Saag was nicely spiced and they recommend to pair it with the Cobis nu Shack, which was a cold vegetable dish akin to slaw with some vinegar acidity and sweetness from white raisins. The highlight of the meal was the Bhaji’s (and Bhaji burger!) which were very well seasoned and perfectly fried with little ‘oily’ residue you get often with them. I only dock a star as the service was very aloof and would have been nice to have been given a ‘thank you, goodbye!’ as we left. It seemed they wanted to just get the tables cleaned and rotated for the next customer!

I've popped in here a few times for a quick cheeky pint but had never tried any of the victuals until this week. Walking down the steps you will open doors to find multiple long benches where after being seated get ready for a massive choice of beer and vegetarian dishes. For food I ordered the okra fries, a veggie pattie in a bun and some paneer falaafel? I was torn between a few beers so while ordering the food a member of staff graciously let me try a few such as the mango lassie beer, a Chaitro stout and a pineapple and coconut beer. Sitting back down the food arrived promptly and tasted fresh and delicious. The bun was quite spicy which I adore but just as a warning to those that don't like too much spice. Overall a really nice atmosphere, terrific service and great quality food for fair prices.

We came on NYE and found that only the brunch menu was available (fair enough!) - we decided that was fine and chose a few items to share. With the exception of one part of one item, everything was a bit grim - school dinner taste, dry, claggy, bland...honestly, I wanted to love this place, but there was nothing that I could honestly say I enjoyed from the 6-7 plates we bought. I suspect the all-you-can-eat menu impacted on the food quality - everything tasted like it'd been made en masse and stuck under a heat lamp for a year or two. Unfortunately, I won't be back. Service was friendly but pretty inattentive.

I’ve seen this chain pop up throughout the UK and i thought it was time to try it out. Myself and my partner decided to try out their express lunch menu which consisted of the choice of 2 dishes (each) out of 8 options. The options we went for were Sprout Bhajia (christmas menu), Bundo Chaat, Raghda Pethis and Chole Saag. We also ordered the Vada Pav. However, I wouldn’t of recommended the Vada Pav as it was wayyyyyy too salty. The options on the express menu were really nice. The Sprout Bhajia was better than i expected, crispy and super flavourful. The Bundo Chaat was quite surprising aswell - I’m used to chaat being quite soggy once the yogurt is layered ontop but the samosa pastry was still crunchy and flaky. The Chole Saag was very similar to normal Chole Bhatura, I didn’t see much saag in it. It was very rich in flavour though. The Raghda Pethis was okay. Nothing to write home about. Overall, I’m pleasantly impressed. I would revisit in the spring or summer where they’ve added new items so I could try more seasonal items.

Great food. Portion size quite small for the price.

This is a lovely vegetarian Indian restaurant in the basement on Piccadilly. Once inside the seating area is vast. We went on a Friday evening and were lucky to get a table. Food was piping hot and served freshly made. The okra fries and chick pea curry were our favourites. Wine list is a bit limited but there is something for everyone. Huge selection of beers too.

I have tasted some of the items and they are good. This is a vegetarian restaurant, and there are no much items on the menu.
