Excellent curry and beer canteen. All vegetarian, not that you'd notice the food tastes so good. Great range of craft ales. Always look forward to introducing friends to this place.

Overhyped place. Overpriced food Supposedly simple indian street food, made unnecessarily complicated. Good beer and cocktail selections

Poor value for money, taste wasn't good either. Ordered cholay saag and was served just plain cholay. over all very disappointing experience.

Only rating 3 for the atmosphere as it was around 4pm so early doors. Great food, lovely staff - got me a fresh pint after i knocked mine over (like a tool). Love the place, kids did too

The food you get from the stalls are better than this . Not much taste and the size of the bhaji/buns were sup-par. The pakoras were burnt and I can still taste the burnt pakoras in my mouth, hours later. The parathas were sub-par and very thin. Severely disappointed.

Had the Hogan Cider x Bundobust Brewery: Bundobust Blush Hibiscus & Ginger cider 3.4% 29/09/22: update... visited again, courtesy of Bundobust and it's marketing manager. Exceptional service as always, dog friendly and great food and drink! [Photo update]. We had Rajma & rice, Aloo gobi paratha, Bhel puri, Vada pav, Gobi Manchurian, 1/2's of Pineapple & Coconut lassi sour, 4.5%, Nitro Chai Porter, 5%, Red Willow Chevallier EPA, 5.7% and Peela pale ale, 4% 14/04/22: my first time here, but it won't be the last. Only came for the craft beer which I was surprised was so plentiful. Had a great review off my friend which is why we came. Really friendly staff, who seated us quickly and explained how to order and what was recommended. Fantastic selection of ales, very much look forward to returning for food.

This was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. My husband and I were extremely hungry and short on time, so we decided to try Bundobast. We ordered Paneer Kadhai, Bhature, and Nimbu Pani, hoping for a satisfying meal. Unfortunately, the food was completely tasteless, and the presentation looked like it was meant for a child. The portion sizes were incredibly small — it felt like a joke. There was neither quality nor quantity. As someone of Indian origin, I can confidently say this came nowhere close to authentic Indian street food. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for real Indian flavors.

Food with nice kick and spice to it. Depending on the day you can also have a nice deal on the prices. A HUGE selection on tap beers! The occasion fries are my fave. 😊

In Manchester for a work event. Saw this on a search and it was great to see a totally vegetarian restaurant. Ordered a takeaway if was very tasty. Staff were helpful too.

Four of us enjoyed an early evening meal at this fabulous Indian street food diner. We were recommended to try the combo for four as we hadn't been before. A wonderful selection of different dishes arrived, all extremely tasty. We are not Vegan or Vegetarian but none of us missed meat, there was ample for 4 adults. Service was friendly and speedy. We also enjoyed the Python lager and a couple of the spicy snacks before our meals arrived. A thoroughly enjoyable evening, will definitely be back next time we're in Manchester.

It is one of the best Indian street food restaurants around! Incredibly tasty food, great choice of beers and cocktails (give the mango mojito a try!), and a very chilled atmosphere. You just can't stop me coming back to this gem!

Not good food according to the name and traditional indian food. we ordered for dal thadka the dal was completely uncooked and paneer kadai where the paneer was like rubber and hard, Bhatura didn't seem like bhatura and just a single piece. Totally not worth spending. I have attached the photos below.

The chickpeas and spinach stewed in garam masala, onion and ginger, was served with puri and it was delicious. Okra in crisp chickpea batter, was tasty.

Genuinely one of my favourite restaurants, I always take friends and family who visit Manchester here and everyone loves it. Great beer, great food and even better staff. Niamh especially is absolutely amazing.

Five committed carnivores ate a vegetarian meal that was one of the best meals we have ever had. We will definitely be back.

My daughter and I visited for an evening meal after a trip to the cinema. We had not booked but were welcomed as soon as we arrived and then we were seated on a long table with some other people. The ordering system was explained by a friendly waitress. We ordered two dishes each and some rice along with cocktails. The food arrived in good time along with an additional dish that we had not ordered and then we noticed that were missing some bhajis. The waitress apologised and explained there had been an error. We received our onion bhajis and were allowed to keep the other dish. We were happy with how this was dealt with. All the food was really tasty and just the right amount of spice. We loved the salt and pepper okra and Gobi Manchurian. The cocktails were also something special! We loved the restaurant and will definitely return. I am awarding five stars as even though there was an issue, it was dealt with professionally. Thank you.

Food is fantastic! I had a fab experience going just me and a colleague, but the experience we had yesterday as a group for my partner's bday was fenomenal! Super chilled, each person can order what they want when they want. And most dishes are shared, so we ended up sharing many dishes in the end, which was quite fun! The atmosphere is great, music not too loud which I appreciate in a group setting. Definitely coming back!!

Been Eating here for many years and the food started off amazing and it's changed the menu but not the quality or quantity. It's well recommended.

Can vegetarian be delicious? Yes. As an omnivore, I don't often go for veg; but when I do, it's the Indians that do it best. And Bondobust does it very well. The chaat was refreshing, the puri fluffy, and the chickpea curry delicious. I wasn't much of a fan of the paneer kabab, nor was the chai up to par, but this place still veg food quite alright for the commoners. It's not made with high-level dining nor quality in mind, and the ambience reflects that, but still still a lovely place to take a break from meats.

A superb alternative for our group. I was not aware from booking that this was a vegetarian restaurant, and some of my team were not best pleased at first... when they left they were all converted. Fresh, richly flavoured food with a variety of textures and colours, it was a fantastic meal and we all left with full bellies!

I’ve given this restaurant multiple chances, hoping the experience would improve, but unfortunately, it hasn’t. Despite trying every dish on the menu, the food consistently fell short of expectations—both in taste and portion size, which feels ridiculously unreasonable for the price. The service was just average, and I noticed a lack of hygiene, particularly with the cutlery. Additionally, the menu has remained unchanged for a while, making it feel repetitive and unexciting. Overall, it didn’t live up to the hype.

Service was good, everyone was really nice and helpful. We ordered the meal for 2 with all their 'favourites' on. Unfortunately the food was just bang average which was disappointing as we had high hopes for this with the reviews being so good. IPA and peach mai tai was tasty. The food just seemed really bland yet some things were drizzled in this very hot sauce. we love spice but that's all that was there was spice and no flavour. the paneer was dry and the lentil curry was so bland. okay but just wouldn't return in a hurry. Place was nice inside.

Good food and interesting place. We were looking for vegetarian options and the menu is all veggie and vegan. It is nothing like a traditional Indian restaurant, more like a cafeteria with a bar. The food was served fast and had great flavors. Wasn’t really conducive to hanging out and chatting.

You had me at 'Indian tapas', better than I could have imagined. The selection of food is amazing and excellent quality. I think the craft beer selection is what makes Bundobust stand out from other restaurants. An impressive selection of their own brewed ales go alongside a superbly curated set of guest beer. Hit the spot for quality and value. Had Tikka Paneer very good, onion Bhaji good slightly over fried sauce with it excellent, chickpea dish good but nothing special, very spicy, bread served with it very good. Super choice of craft ales the one I had was excellent

Tasty food especially the kofta. Quiet mid week lunchtime but the music is quite loud. Pleasant staff. Main seating area as you walk in consists of high tables and high stools which aren't the most comfortable. Further up there's another seating area with normal height tables and stools. The Sharan Mukt Crush (cranberry, pomegranate, lemon and apple) was too sweet. Other than that, it's a great place for vegetarian Indian street food.

Really good food, the dishes are small so you can get a bunch of them and share if you're going there with people. It operates like a cafeteria so you order by yourself then sit down to eat. There are good vegetarian and vegan options

Good place for vegetarian food lovers…

The food was tasty and inviting but not particularly suitable for more sensitive palates (most of the dishes were spicy and/or spicy). Good craft beers produced by them and equally good cocktails. Chaotic but at the same time welcoming environment with very friendly and helpful staff, the only flaw is the slightly salty bill.

Raghda Pethis not so tasty as it should be but bundo chat was nice. But staff are horrible no one attentive to the guest

I got the lunch express, the Chaat was amazing, 10/10, the Chole Saag was good too! Would definitely recommend and visit again!

One of the best restraunts in Manchester! New Year's eve brunch was fantastic.

I like the attempt to share some less glamourised indian dishes but this hasnt worked correctly imo. The menu feels small and choices limited. Some menu items have an added spicy oil which doesnt do the dishes justice and makes it taste cheaper. The dishes are rather small to encourage consumption and are slightly expensivem The beer is very good. Tables have a bit of a canteen feel and arent reflective of the price of the dishes.

Bundobust was amazing. We went for the beer and we were blown away by the food. So much flavor in every dish. The spice level is just right.

Great place and really good prices.

I love that the whole menu was vegetarian but sadly the food wasn’t good. The lentil curry didn’t have much taste, the paratha was stale and the achar pickle was inedible with too much salt none of the group could eat it. The lassi and the okra fries were the only two things that were really tasty. Unfortunately overall, I wouldn’t go back nor recommend.

This is a happening place. Tucked away in the busy city area, you enter this place going down a flight of stairs. You go the the counter and order your food. Menu options have variety. The food is served quickly. It is flavorful and you enjoy it sitting in the bench tables.

The place was interesting but unfortunately the food was not that great. It was trying to imitate another Indian place (Dishoom) but feel short of our expectations.

This is an absolutely fantastic vegetarian restaurant that completely exceeded all expectations. The food is incredibly tasty, the staff are great, and everything is reasonably priced. There's also an extensive selection of very tasty craft beers on tap, from all across the country. I especially enjoyed 'New beer coming soon' - refreshingly light and surprisingly inexpensive. Finally, I was delighted to see that this restaurant is dog friendly. Well worth a visit.

Average Indian restaurant. The Okra fries were too soggy, not crispy and thin like it is supposed be. The sprouts bhaji had little sprouts and tasted more like onion bhaji. Overall an okayish place. Good interior giving you a college canteen vibe. But average in terms of food!

Indian vegetarian where you order several or many small dishes to share and have them with either biryani rice or prata or Pune breads. Order at counter and self served. Recommend the Sprout Bhajis (crispy onion, shredded sproutss & broccoli Bhajis spiked with fennel & chilli) which come served with a unique Cranberry Chutney - pairs excellently ! Baingan Baubles also not bad if you enjoy mild curry with braised Aubergine stuffed with nutty sweet & spicy masala (served with Basmati rice). Also ordered the Paratha & Thelpa which is basically Paratha stuffed with masala potato & cauliflower mix. Served with tomato chutney and achar pickles the latter of which you can skip if not so into sour eats but the chutney ya gotta have.

Ended a day in Manchester with dinner in Bundobust - Leeds branch repeatedly recommended by a friend so thought we'd give it a try - so glad we did!! Ordered the vegan combo for two, everything was so tasty and there was more than enough food for two with healthy appetites. The atmosphere was relaxed, the staff were friendly and the student discount made a reasonable price feel like a real bargain. Would definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone.

Delicious Indian street food in the heart of Manchester!

Absolutely fantastic. As always. Had been to the Leeds restaurant and was excited to try Manchester. My GOD did it not disappoint. The food is amazing. The staff are really great. Will go whenever I’m in Manchester

On arriving at the restaurant we were welcomed by friendly staff. The restaurant is casual dining and this was perfect for a group of lads. We weren't aware, out fault that is was a vegetarian restaurant, but don't let this pit you off. We had Bundo Combo, which was everything on the menu, £120, and was more than enough food for the 5 of us. Highly recommend the food, beer and experience.

I absolutely love the food, drink & atmosphere at Bundobust. So relaxed & open. I recommend the Tikka Paneer, Bhajis, Orka Fries & Puri Bread & Mango Lasso for a drink. Always my go to meal!

Amazing food. We visited on a work trip and had one of everything off the menu for a great price. Food was generally brilliant as was the own brand beer. Defintiely would revisit if i was in the area.

Great service from all. Food was fast and tasty. Good value. Great tasting cocktails. You order food and drinks at the bar. Great for groups. Clean bathrooms also. The only reason I marked it down by 1 star is because we felt a bit rushed, we still had drinks post our meal, and we were informed our table was booked and that the people had arrived. We were not informed there was a booking when we were seated, and we were only there 1.5 hours. We would not have ordered more drinks had we known prior.

First off the beer was very good, and so was the house red too apparently. Waiting for our table at the bar was a delight. We booked a table early Saturday night, ordered loads of good stuff, about 3 dishes each and that was a bit much. The food was all great and fresh. Staff were efficient, the manager had a lovely waistcoat, all no hassle. The hard part is having to remember your tables food choices to order at the bar.

Couldn't believe how quick the drinks were served after ordering on the app. Did didn't Yahweh much longer. Excellent food, loved three mango lasso and chai!

An amazing place with great atmosphere and food. I only rate it 4 stars because we asked them for some sweet chutneys and sauces because I’m a wuss when it comes to spice and was given a sharing dish that he promised wasn’t spicy (and one of them was really spicy and ruined the experience for me a bit plus we waiting a little while for them) so I only rate it down because of that. Will probably be back at some point though even just for drinks as the cocktails and craft beers were great!

Really amazing veggie restaurant. Gets lively on weekend evenings. Love the Asian fusion seasonal dishes. The service is quick and friendly. They catered to my husbands food allergy well so thank you. Please open in other big cities like London, guys! Manchester is too far to travel even for this tasty food! We need more top notch veggie restaurants like this in the country. Will definitely be visiting again when down in Manchester for the footy.

Best ever mango lassi, avocado lassi, chat, thepla, aaloo paratha, kulchas, paneer kadai i had in England! Because of small portions, we need two plates atleast per person, however still extremely pocket friendly. I loved the paneer tikka too but it was slightly harder, so I would have preferred a softer one. The gobi Manchurian was average compared to rest. Above all, they accept blue light card , thus making this my go to place in Manchester! Highly recommended to everyone
