Excellent customer service! Loved the place and staff. Very hospitable and clean environment.

Great vegan food, lots of vegan options. Would especially recommendnthe bhel puri. Only set back was some of the tables are shared.

First time here having been to the Piccadilly branch several times. This one felt a lot more chaotic with service on the slow side (so much so we left a smaller tip than we would normally) although it was busy. We had the festive feast for 4 and we could not finish it (although there were only 3 of us!). Ordered post meal drinks. the House chai did not arrive before we had to leave. Complained to the manager who gave us a drinks voucher which we may or may not use and said the money for the drink would be refunded: this never happened as I suspected it wouldn't. Under promise and over deliver please guys. Love the Bundobust vibe and the food is always good but wouldn't rush back here and would go to Piccadilly given the choice of the two given the slower service and less comfortable seating here. £33 a head for our food and drink felt about right especially as it included 2 pints and 2 cocktails between us.

Great food. A fantastic suprise to our visit to Manchester today. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The service was good and the food to the table was quick. We had a member of our party who had a peanut allergy. We were assured of how they keep the ingredients separate to avoid cross contamination. Well done.

The atmosphere looks really good and lively, staff were very polite and helpful they suggested me and my friend’s items with our preferences. I felt the food quantity was not sufficient compared to its price, the taste was also not impressive, I liked the chole saag apart from that rest all were very normal.

Overall Bundobust is a great place to eat and explore craft beer. The Indian food is excellent but don't try the Baingan Baubles. They can't cook the Aubergine properly. Aubergine has to melt in the mouth the Baingan here is tough. We sent it back and it came back the same, uneatable. My wife talked to the a waiter and he said that they have this problem all the time. I love aubergine and hope they learn to cook the Baigan Bangles as they should be.

Visited both this and the one on Piccadilly Gardens with friend and they’re both great. This one in particular is in a great spot for a bite to eat before going to the Palace Theatre or to the many gig venues around the area and further down. The beers are on the expensive side for a brewery - usually you’d expect the house beers to be a bit cheaper as they’re not traveling very far - but the food is reasonably priced and very good.

The food here was all vegetarian I was not expecting this and didn’t do my research before hand this made me quite disappointed. Food was mid and cold. The chai tea was my favourite thing from this place. Recommend for vegetarians

Perfect stop for Indian street food!

Este lugar es fantástico, grandioso / industrial que crea el ambiente. Los asientos comunitarios de estilo banco es muy relajado y la comida era excelente, fresco muy bien especiado y nuestro plato de compartir simplemente siguió invitándote a volver más. Las cervezas eran geniales también, y el personal era muy amable. Estábamos en un viaje de negocios, así que fue refrescante poder mantener una discusión sin pelear con la música, y aunque el ambiente estaba zumbando con una conversación similar esto no desmereció en absoluto. En general un muy digno 5 / 5.

Fui invitado por amigos, con toda honestidad son viajeros más experimentados que yo, lo que significa que habían experimentado este tipo de comida callejera antes. Yo estaba jugando para probarlo... no era realmente lo mío, pero fue una noche encantadora ponerse al día con los amigos. Ellos deliraron con la comida, pero me resultó difícil emocionarme ya que no me gusta la cocina picante. Mi gusto y ninguna reflexión en el menú. Como experiencia valió la pena probar, y divertido, las cervezas eran buenas.

My friends and I called for lunch midweek and were happy we did. The food was tasty and the beers were very good. We probably didn’t order enough as the portions were quite small, like tapas so bear that in mind when ordering.

Food was delicious. Lots of options for food and drinks, and the food was really well seasoned and tasty. Everywhere was clean and was a great atmosphere but you do sit quite close to other tables which I'm not keen on but that was the only downside.

I like Bundobust street food but loved this brewery. Drinks with a Indian touch is a different style such like Mango Lassi Ale and Peela. The Indian street food is always on top and most of veggie. Whatever you try, has a taste. My choice always go with Thali combo to get all the things in one place. Really like the communal seating area. The vibes were at top and atmosphere was such cool. Thats why always try to go Bundobust wherever i am Manchester, Leeds or Liverpool.

Very bad quality food. Food inspectors should really visit this place to check the food quality. The potatoes used were clearly spoiled and the daal was smelling too. When I asked the manager he said the daal was made the earlier night. I expect fresh food when I visit a big restaurant like Bundobast :(

Had the combo for 4, which included the perfect amount of food, and the perfect variety of everything we could have wanted. The food was incredible and full of flavour. And the service was fast and super friendly. I love it here, and one of my favourite things about bundobust is the entire menu is vegetarian

Great relaxed place for Indian vegetarian food and nice draught beers from their in-house brewery. Wait to be seated at the long tables and order your food and drinks at the bar. Food will be served at the table. Also very accessible for single travelers. Short waiting time possible but you can already have a drink at the bar.

Perfect mix of craft beer, food and good vibez.

Used to love Bundobust. But few issues for me now. Firstly the food portions keep getting smaller. Now there are metal plates they took the opportunity to shrink all the portions it seems. Price has gone up. Vegetarian food is cheaper than meat. But I can go to another Indian serving meat like Akbar’s and get significantly more food for the price. It was a novelty, I like the food but it’s just not well priced and so small portions now. Also the chairs in the brewery are so cheap. There’s no where to even put your coat as the chairs don’t have backs. Feels so cheap in there but not cheap prices.

Fantastic food and great atmosphere.

This place has all the quality you'd expect from these guys, with the added bonus of their own brewery into the mix. Great service and decent drinks selection. The dishes are also far more filling than you would think!

We arrived in Manchester late afternoon on a Sunday. After a red eye flight from Denver, we were hungry and thirsty. This was our first stop, and it did not disappoint. Bundobust never does. We have been to the Leeds location many times on previous trips. We did eat at the other Manchester location later in our trip.

Horrible, food disgusting, had some kind of rice that it was no mexican neither indian, tamales worst thing ever had no one in my table eat that.

Amazing selection of food - if you want to treat someone in Manchester this is the place to start. The drinks selection is also great from the brewery section.

Came on Wednesday before the theatre and wow!! I'm not a vegetarian myself but fancied trying it as seen the reviews previous and it didn't disappoint! So many different things to try out and the flavours were amazing! Will definitely be visiting again. The bhajis were some of the best I've ever had

I was quite surprised with the taste! The ambience, interiors EVERYTHING! simply perfect!

Absolute amazing place! The food is so damn tasty and the portions are amazing too! I had a cocktail which was super fruity and I also tried the vegan masala chai which was sweet and lovely too! Their okra fries are out of this world. Can’t go here without ordering them!

We ordered the everything on the menu deal and it all came in a timely manner all at once which was impressive. We thought the food was delicious and our favourite was the Okra chips!

We called in here early on a Thursday evening and was surprised just how busy it was. Luckily we only wanted a drink as there was just nowhere to sit if we'd have wanted to eat some of the excellent vegetarian food they do. Instead, we just stood at the bar and watch the goings on around us. The barman was absolutely superb and nothing was too much trouble for him. He recommended different beers and let us try as many as we wanted which was very helpful indeed. The atmosphere was vibrant and we really enjoyed our time there. It certainly made us realise that if you want to eat you must definitely book as it is so popular.

It's great to have an entirely veggie-vegan Indian restaurant. The concept is fantastic, trendy street food joint with brewery attached. My only slight gripe is the portion sizing of the main dish. For the price it was definitely on the mean side of acceptable. Overall though, the food was great - vibrant on the eye and tongue, and contrasting textures. The beer was also excellent, if pricey. Service was friendly, food came quickly considering they were very busy with at least two large Christmas parties. The general vibe is canteen style, with stools and trestle tables, and funky music. We will be back. 😁👍

Really out of the ordinary Indian food. Flavorful and well prepared. Lots of things I'd never heard of. And incidentally completely vegetarian and very vegan friendly without feeling deprived.

Visited to try the beer so no review of the food. The customers eating seemed happy. A bit of a strange atmosphere with bare concrete floors and long tables.

Food was nice but it didn't warrant the cost, it was so expensive. Vegan friendly too.

A good idea - an Indian restaurant in a brewery! I only tried a couple of the beers which were good but very expensive (3.50ish for a half - more than London!). Staff were friendly.

Good god....whilst we are a mixed family of white and South Indian, none of us enjoyed the food. Too much heat, too much turmeric. Worst Ragda Pattis ive had. Should be tamarind, fresh coriander, sev but just 🔥 🥵

Food always perfect, staff super frienly and going the extra mile. If I didn't have a great job already, I would love to work there. That is the impression that the atmosphere gives me. Much better than Market Street!....Edit: went yesterday 18/5/24 for okra fries with partner. This time we both had a couple (about 4) of old stringy okras, which only used to occur at Market Street, but unfortunately now also Oxford Road 😕

This place is a dream!!!!! They are an Indian street food brewery. The food is delicious and very reasonable. They have a lunch deal that is two dishes for £10.25. You definitely have to try the mango lazzi dazzler. They are brewing while you eat and drink. So glad I found this place!

Great place to eat veggie food and drink some good craft beer and some of it is brewed onsite, i didn't eat this time but the food looks good. Staff very friendly. You walk down a few stairs to get in.

Came here for a quick lunch. We enjoyed the food selection. Staff were nice, especially the bartender who took our order. Some dishes were not as I expected them to be, but they were all nice and enjoyable. Recommended

I have loved this place in the past but visited it with a work colleague around 2pm and the food came out stale so had to send it back. More than that the brewer was rude to my colleague about occupying the last table.

Visited with friends. Food is great, although last time, I remember being able to order via a qr code rather than queuing at the bar. Saturday evening, but music was a bit too loud, and we struggled to hold a convo. But all in all, great place.

The beer selection is good but having to wait to be seated and being handed menus as you sit down give the feeling of a restaurant and not a relaxed brewpub. The food was disappointing and greasy

Nice brewery tap in the centre of Manchester. The tap also sells Indian food. It was very popular during my visit, I was constantly asked if I was eating by staff, obviously wanting me gone so they could accommodate people eating AND drinking. Because of this, we left!!!! You either want customers or not???

Lovely place to visit with your friends on weekends, its located just next to the Oxford station, in Manchester. Its not crowded.

Located on Oxford Road this is a terrific bar and restaurant and we always enjoy our visits there. They do Indian vegetarian food but this visit was just for drinks and it is good fun. The staff are excellent. They are more than happy to give you advice on the varied and Interesting selection of beers and you are able to taste before you buy which is good. The bar itself is roomy with shared benches and a laid-back feel to it. Some of the beers are really different and there's definitely something for everyone.

Was recommended to try out the brewery version of Bundobust and was not disappointed. Defo a place if you need a fast turnaround but equally spend some time catching up with friends. Food was delicious. Very tasty and the Bhel Puri and the bhel chaat were fab. The Vada Pav and interesting new thing to try. With a Bhaji butty and a paneer tikka for good measure we were full! Sadly didn’t stay long enough to work through more beers. But will return.

When we walked in, the place seemed super busy, but they managed to find us a spot at a big communal table. We decided to order some aloo & dahl kachori, bundo chaat, paneer tikka, chole saag, okra fries, and bhaji at the bar. They serve mixers in small cans, so if you're having a vodka coke or rum and coke, you won't get a full drink unless you ask the bartender to top it up. Seems like they get that request a lot because the bartender was really apologetic about it. The aloo and dahl kachori were tasty, although they were a bit cold. The bundo chaat wasn't our favorite—my cousin likened it to savory granola. The chole saag (chickpea curry) had a nice kick of spice and came with puri flatbread, which was enjoyable. I also liked the paneer tikka, even though it wasn't swimming in sauce. The bhaji had a flavorful sauce at the bottom, but it wasn't drowning in it. Most of my group loved the okra fries, but I couldn't quite get past the sliminess

No fuss place for Indian street style food and good beers brewed by themselves.

Exemplary variety of Indian small-plate (well, tubs) street food and onsite brews, served by friendly hard-working staff in a vibrant (but not noisy) L-shaped room lined with brew-vessels, about 15+ mins walk from Victoria station, 20+ mins from Piccadilly. We ordered 5 plates between two of us - Bhel Puri Raghda Pethis Chole Saag Okra Fries Mung Bean Chatpata All of them delicious and if you think you hate Okra, try the fries and have your mind changed forever. £30 between us with a couple of beers took the bill to £40-ish. The beers were excellent too - varied for most tastes. Get there before 6pm though as it can get VERY busy. Choose dishes at your table, head to the bar to order, food is brought to your table. Easy. Bundobust is very much a serious brand - various taste merch gubbins on sale.

Nice and pleasant place. Service and staff was smiling and forgiving. We had a combo for two people and it was famously good, we enjoyed it very much and we agreed that it is one of the best Indian restaurants. Thank you for a great meal.

Been multiple times now and I absolutely love it!! We visit every time we find ourselves In Manchester. Never any issues, great food, great beer and great service. Please open one in Sheffield 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Our time at Bundobust was delightful! The fusion of craft beers and an Indian restaurant was unique and surprisingly successful. Despite my initial reservations as a fan of more meat-based curries, the fully vegetarian menu impressed me with its diverse range of options – a definite win! The onion bhaji 'burger' was a real favourite. The beers were great too. The staff was friendly, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. Getting a 9 pm booking worked well for us/was lucky, but it's best to book in advance. Keep in mind the high stools; if that's a concern, make sure to mention it. Without a doubt, our favorite spot from the entire weekend.

Cracking evening here with the Mrs. v quickly seated and explained the system of ordering at the bar. Went for a good range of food between us. Tarka Dhal with rice was a little spicy treat. Lovely flavours. Okra fries were amazing. Could have had double the portion. Paratha bread was excellent with a little unknown filling. Gobi manchurian was a cauliflower and mushroom spicy delight. Poppadoms good as well. Could have arrived earlier as the starter as advertised. But that would be quibbling. Two excellent pints - python then peela. Both excellent. A really good experience.

Only had a drink here, was drawn to the massive beer vat you can see from the street. Great beer, loved it though a bit pricey or its just because its in manchester. Great atmosphere and very lively. Service was topnotch, really like the place. Definitely coming back for another pint

Called in for drinks on a rainy afternoon and were then tempted by the snacks menu. Enjoyed Paratha & Thepla, Okra Fries and Paneer Tikka, sat at a high table, shared with other diners. It’s a real brewery too with great beers, served in ⅔ pint glasses. Only slight downside was the throwaway plates. Otherwise a perfect stop.

Phenomenal. I just went for a little solo date. They were rammed when I got there which is a good sign. They managed the waiting list really well and I just chilled at the bar for a bit. Staff were lovely. Really felt looked after but in a friendly casual way. Food was first-bite-pause-to-appreciate good. Banging small plates and steering away from stereotypes really well but being familiar enough to feel accesible. Simply presented, good portions for the vibe. Top.
