Our first visit on a Groupon. Thoroughly enjoyed our food. Well worth our trip over from Bolton and would most certainly go again because of the food quality. Finding a parking space was a little difficult even though we visited on a Monday at 17:30.

Very quiet at lunchtime but brilliant food and service.

Really disappointing, especially with some of the hard hitters in Chorlton. Under cooked Bhajis that are far too spicy (bhajis don’t need to be spicy). The Lamb was tough and lacked flavour. The chicken korma was watery as tasteless. No depth in any of the dishes. Papdam basket doesn’t include dips. £62 for a meal for two - over priced and seriously under delivered. Don’t waste your money here. You will be disappointed. The worst curry house in Chorlton.

Still good but very quiet tonight. I like this place it's very friendly, the food is good and the menu is interesting. Everything is served on steel plates as in India cafés, the music is Indian pop and the place has a good atmosphere. Prices are reasonable.

Went last night with family, surprised to see no one else in at 5pm. We had varied food, from poppadoms to starters, chicken and lamb curry mains with a couple of sides. Couldn't fault any of it, plenty of meat, good service, worth a visit.

I’m a vegetarian!!!! So my reviews are based on the vegetarian food. The food served here was slightly disappointing to us as the restaurant claims Mumbai foods. We had Pani puri which was good, gobi Manchurian was not to the expectations, vada pav was a disaster (usually the Mumbai based restaurant servers very tasty dish), Paav bhaji was a good serve. As a main course we ordered biriyani, veg Hakka noodles, veg jelfrezi, and couple of naans. The dishes were bit spicy but was manageable (we asked to make it spicy as most of the restaurant around serves less spicy). The portions were perfect. The ambience is good, reservation to the restaurant is recommended during rush hours, parking lot in front of the restaurant is not reliable sometimes it gets full. There is a nearby shopping centre where car parks available.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Charlton. Must try pani puri, gobi Manchurian, chilli chicken and Virgin mojito.

Friendly fast service and good food. Particularly enjoyed the Gobi Manchurian and samosa Chat. Plenty of vegetarian options . Would definitely return

Went in on a Friday Evening with my Fiance. From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly and the waiter was incredibly helpful. He advised any items on the menu could be served mild medium or hot which was perfect. Everything we ate was exceptional and the spice level spot on as I prefer mild (the waiter even checked to make sure it was mild enough). The portions were generous and we didn't have to wait too long for the food I cannot recommend enough and we will definitely be coming back again

Best Indian food I’ve had in recent years , very authentic & spicy but flavourful

I had paneer butter masala curry, gobi manchurian & pulao rice for a sunday takeaway. It is one of the best meals, everything is well cooked, tasty, flavourful and feel healthy.

Serves best vegetarian food in chorlton. Must try Lamb kadai ,Chicken kadai.

There is no respect with delivery men👎

Really good selection of vegetarian and vegan food on the menu. Food was tasty and good value. Staff were friendly. Service was a little slow at the start. On the whole though very good - would recommend.

Popped in for a light lunch while on a pub crawl in the area. Paulicarus ordered a pint of draught Kingfisher. ( Cobra only in bottles.) Had poppadums as an appetiser. Nice and fresh. Then Gobi Manchurian and a Chilli Chicken. Probably the best Gobi ever. Lovely spicing and a great crispy texture. Loved both dishes. Hope to be back and try the mains.

An absolutely gorgeous place with amazing food, ran by a lovely family that really know their proper traditional dishes which you can rarely find anywhere else. The only proper curry house in Chorlton. I'm now a regular. Forget any negative comments: they're usually about the delivery process, delivery drivers or some sort of order misunderstanding, from what I've seen, but never about the food, the restaurant or the service which are impeccable. Prices are reasonable, or, at least, reasonable for the great food quality. Definitely recommend.

Just had the most beautiful meal here! It’s a really relaxed restaurant and the people are so friendly and welcoming. The food was incredible, and there were so many vegetarian options. I’m allergic to nuts and felt so comfortable with the menu as all allergens were labelled clearly, which made the whole experience so easy and enjoyable. Thank you for such a lovely meal!

asked something they have on the menu to be taken out as a phone order and they refused straight away and wouldn't let me collect it to so I could take home Update: After posting the review I get a phone call with the worst customer services skills. Instead the owner of the restaurant talks to me in a rude and threatening way. When I hang up he sends me abusive messages. If this continues I am reporting this to Police.

Some of the best Indian food we have had for years. Brilliant onion bhaji, beautiful paneer in a very good mutter paneer, excellent chicken saag. Was our first visit, will definitely return.

Food and service really good. 2 persons had bad stomach shortly after. Checked food hygiene and it’s a disappointing 2. There is no excuse for this other than can’t be arsed to clean. We will not return until hygiene standards reach 5 which many other establishments manage

Absolutely outstanding food - fresh, spicy and delicious. Great modern, clean and stripped back cafe vibe with a clear view of the kitchen. Probably the best chilli paneer I’ve had. Not a dud note on the whole menu.

Really tasty authentic Indian food. Went last night and I had the Lamb Saag. Absolutely gorgeous & tender. I always like when you can see the kitchen and all the chefs cooking and freshly preparing the food, also the smells are great too!

Had lunch at Mumbai Tiffin room, would rate the food, I had the vada pav, paratha and Mumbai potatoe dish, very tasty and they make a really good chai too. Would definitely come back

The food is here is incredible. Lovely restaurant and great staff with authentic dishes. Their biriyani is the best around and their green Hariyali chicken is excellent. Food is affordable but great quality. Use their website to order takeaway and ditch the third party apps too as it’s much cheaper! A hidden gem in South Manchester!

We love this place! Proper authentic Indian food, great menu and quality ingredients. My personal favourites are the Biryani and the Haryali Chicken. Eating in brings the benefits of Mango Lassi :-)

Great place - easy and attentive team, happy to explain the food and help you choose. Went in a family group and tried a range of starters and mains - all really good. Deep flavours gently applied - everything tasted lovely. The butter chicken was ace! Also - good range for vegans.

The food was pretty average. It was hot (as in chilli hot) but had no real flavour. I had veggie stuff, aloo gobi, paneer tikka and a couple of veggie starters.

Food was lovely, mixed grill came piping hot. Naan bread was amazing. Overall good. Waiter was friendly

Delicious food cooked fresh by the owners. I had mushroom curry and rice my husband had lamb they were both lovely. Beer and wine were good. Portion sizes are just right. Not too expensive either. Service is excellent. The family are from Mumbai, the owners cook from the open kitchen. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic place, loads of choice for veggie and vegan diets too. Really friendly, personable guys, recommended a beautiful lamb dish, you can tell it's proper home cooked food. Real gem this place.

Had an excellent meal here last night. Both the customer service and food were first class. Particular highlights were the Goan fish curry, the cauliflower starter (the name leaves me!) and the tandoori king prawns. Will definitely be back to try more dishes soon. It was our first time here at Mumbai Tiffin Room and the food was amazing, very authentic and fresh especially the bread which is what I look forward too most funnily. We were mostly served by Suraj who was brilliant and very friendly so I would definitely recommend!!

Absolutely bloody delicious. Get the mixed grill. And the okra fries. And all three of the mains we ordered. Good value but more importantly the best curry I’ve had in Manchester, having lived here 10 years.

Amazing food and amazing prices, staff made us feel very welcome

I had been meaning to try this restaurant for some time and finally got the chance to visit on a Tuesday evening. At first, around 7pm, I was the only diner although 2 couples came in after me. Warm welcome by the waiters. I was, first of all, impressed that soon after I was shown to a table, I was asked if I had any allergies they needed to be aware of. This was the first time I had been asked this question in any restaurant and I now think that all restaurants should ask this as it shows care and attention to detail. I had the Pani Puri to start with, which were delicious, with a good "kick" of chlli at the end, and were beautifully presented. For main I had Lamb Kadai with pulao rice. The lamb was tender and beautifully spiced in a rich sauce full of flavours. I don't usually have dessert at the end of the meal, but thought I would try the Gulab Janam. Usually they are too sweet for my taste, but these (apparently home made Gulabs) were just right for me not being too sweet and, surprisingly, were made with chocolate which gave another dimension to the tastes along with the ice cream they were served with. I also ended up having 3 glasses of the house white, Pinot Grigio, which had a sweet finish which perfectly complimented the spicing of the food. This is a lovely Indian Hindu family run restaurant, who really do deliver great personal service and great food. It is also very clean and you can see into the kitchen - usually the sign of a good restaurant as they have "nothing to hide". I highly recommend

Invited by friends to try Mumbai Tiffin and we were pleasantly surprised by the flavours we were served ... A refreshing change from run of the mill “curry house”that you so often experience. Good choice of vegan / vegetarian also. Would definitely recommend and not silly money . Big thumbs up !

This is genuinely some of the best Indian food I have eaten in Manchester. We have just moved to Chorlton and discovered this place. Would highly recommend the Samosa chaat, Gobi Manchurian, fish curry and paneer and pea curry which is basically everything we ate!

Today for Valentine’s Day I should of had a booking at 1pm. I phoned a few days ago to make the booking. The man said my confirmation back, I offered to leave my phone number to be told they already had it cos it comes up on their phone. So can someone tell me why I turned up today for the restaurant to be closed. No phone call no nothing.

Been a couple of times now and tried different things each time (we are vegetarian) and all of it has been excellent and really tasty. Staff are so friendly and it's very reasonably priced.

Food was tasty enough, but the portions were small. Ordered delivery and took nearly 2 hours to come and was 45-75 min when we ordered. They missed off the poppadoms so didn't even send the full order.

Really good and tasty food at MTR. The service was also very nice. Would recommend for Indian street food and Indo Chinese menu.
