Lovely food as always can never fault it

Best Indian we have eaten, staff very at tentative the peswarni nan was best we have had in many years, loved it, lots of food large portions, fully enjoyed, will definitely be back, chefs biriani special, peswarni nan, pilau Afghanistan chicken was beautiful and tender, we're given the pickle tray, so tasty

The chicken came as roast pork the chicken jalfrezi was not the correct thing that arrived

Always quality tasty food here, takeaway is as good as eating in the restaurant. One of our favourite places to eat.

The food was lovely but it was freezing cold such a shame things cancelled

Didn’t get any poppadoms even though said free with a lot of the meals and we had a Nan bread and a rice missing. Tried to phone and couldn’t get through. Otherwise the food was lovely

DON'T - JUST DON'T Have their Food 8/12/2024 - Just warmed up my 'Meal for 2' - ordered 4 dishes and each was cold ( except for the Yoghurt which is supposed to be cold ) - I went for a takeaway a few years back and the incredibly cocky owner that claimed that 'once you have had my food you will NEVER eat anywhere else' - well it was so bad I never went back. BUT I made a MASSIVE mistake tonight and ordered from 'Just eat' - They were good by the way for delivery - BUT the FOOD IS APPALLING. Good points 1 = delivered faster than quoted. 2 = There is no more good points! - all of the tiny dishes I have had to heat / cook myself as they were too cold to consume. 4 different dishes from the range of mild to hot were exactly the same except for the tough meat - (raw chicken was not a tough though) Save your money and get a £3 ready meal from the local mini market - its better quality and you will get more than the £20 I have just wasted. PS they also add a SERVICE CHARGE for the delivered items ON TOP OF the delivery cost - Be very cautious of these Rip You Off guys. There are dozens better places to use. - I certainly won't be back

Arrived on time and the food was nice, but unfortunately the food was lukewarm so had to be microwaved.

Superb restaurant. Took a massive booking of over 30 people after us being let down by another restaurant. They couldnt do more for us. And kept all different families bill separate making it so easy to pay at the end. Never had a bad experience here.

Went as group for birthday celebrations ,staff very helpful , food available was buffet or off menus on a Sunday night, good prices

not bothered about the delay but food was cold I had to reheat it all.

We have been coming here since it first opened and we have never had a bad meal. We often have taken aways and again great food. Friendly staff who always go the extra mile.

One of the main course dishes was missing. Rang the restaurant to inform them but the phone was not answered, so one person went without their food at the party.

I ordered a meal tonight and paid online. There was no confirmation, so I called them. The man who answered said the meal would be 20 minutes. It has not turned up. Have raised a dispute with the bank as they clearly cannot be trusted.

This is the second really bad takeaway now the curry was watery the chicken korma was flavorless the lamb tikka starter was sour definitely on the turn the whole lot went in the bin it was inedible

Very disappointed to read poor reviews about Mumbai restaurant. We ate there on Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed a first rate meal. Food was well cooked and delicious, staff friendly and polite and the bill very reasonable. We will not hesitate to recommend it to our family and friends and will be eating there ourselves very soon. Thanks Mumbai for a lovely meal.

Been several years since we’ve there due to living in France. Brings back fond memories staff were very attentive would certainly recommend.

Quite honestly, the food was appalling. The curries were both watery and what taste they did have was vile. The naans were doughy with no taste. The rice was watery with little to no taste. Generally, it all looked unappetizing too. We've ended up having to cook separate food as we couldn't stomach to eat it. Absolutely won't be ordering from here again.

Ordered a takeaway Friday evening , onion bhaji for starters, very greasy and under cooked , king prawn pathia for main with saag aloo and peshwari naan . 3 I repeat 3 king prawns in the curry sauce, couldn’t pick the naan up as it just fell apart , the saag aloo was the best thing on the plate. We won’t mention the side salad as there wasn’t enough salad to mention, £30 wasted probably the worst Indian takeaway I’ve had ever

This was my first order from here a delivery. It arrive earlier than expected which is good. I had chicken korma and rice for myself and chicken nuggets. You get loads I've got plenty left for a meal tomorrow tasted so good I would definitely recommend and will be ordering from here again. Thank you

I had enquired about a private buffet meal for x 24 people for my birthday celebrations and Mumbai definitely came up with the goods in a perfect setting , I had chosen the menu with the staff previously , on the night the food was absolutely spot on as was the service , every guest loved it and had plenty to choose from . Thanks for a great night

They initially forgot my korma but they were very apologetic. Everything tasted amazing and was hot. Loved it. Will definitely go again

got a delivery time of 20:10 and the restaurant changed to 20:30 and was still late.

Arrived luke warm ! Chicken was of good quality but sauce was only warm in temperature, chips & rice average , onion baji just glorified onion rings nothing baji about them …… best thing was popadoms, staff very polite on the phone and delivery guy but unfortunately won’t be ordering again .

the poppadoms where soggy and had no snap to them. the rice was full off water.

I ordered a jalfrezi it has never been a jalfrezi it was creamy no flavour no heat absolutely terrible. I won’t be ordering again disappointed

Drove 30 minutes to collect an order it’s complete wrong, items missing and the balti tastes like plain chicken. Phoned to resolve and they couldn’t care less

What we ordered was awful. A plate full of water. The Kong prawns were not king prawns. The onion bhaji were something else. The rogan josh was just liquid. We phoned to complain and ask for something else. The manager put the phone down on me and blocked me.I was very respectful however he wasn't and just kept going quiet. Do not go here. Waste of 35 pound

Class forgot naan turned up in 5 mins with it and a free cobra beer. Food was amazing lamb Korai spicy different level

Absolutely disgusting the chips were stone cold and triple cooked and dry. The mixed starter was disgusting. If you want a decent meal do not go here. Wow very disappointed and took 1hour 30 minutes to get here

Ordered a medium spiced dish, was to spicy, should of been rated as hot could not eat, rice and nan was cold, only thing that was nice was popadoms, cost nearly £60 will not be ordering from there again

Food arrived late when arrived was freezing the whole food called to complain got told would be sending more out over an hour I waited called the restaurant still same I got told was out for delivery but still took another hour therefore we never eaten any off the food as was cold

The food was the worse food I’ve ever seen, we didn’t eat any of it . The korma was like spicy water. The restaurant don’t answer there phoned. The food went in the bin. Avoid at all costs !!! Complete waste of money

Spring lamb tasted like old bull, all food was freezing but too late to complain, delivery time was 45 minutes over scheduled, I will try somewhere else next time

The flavours were simply amazing. Although delivery has never been quick, it does come within the time given and I think its well worth the wait.

Just eat did not notify me when it was on its way we had it an hr ago and it said its now on its way , also the rice was very watery and the chips were really soggy .

Did take an hour and half. Was all cold. Not impressed an hear so many good reviews. Sad really as wanted a nice Indian take away. Korma chicken tiny bits an tikka nice chunky chunks. Chips looked refried edible once warmed up

Not ordered in a while from The Mumbai as we felt it dropped off a little, but thought we'd give it another go tonight and was quite impressed. Two hot chicken tikka curries which was well balanced with spices and the chicken was nice and soft. Garlic nann cooked well also. Only real thing maybe the curry could've been a little hotter on arrival wasn't cold by any means but not piping hot. Overall not bad and would order again going forward. 9 out of 10

Arrived just on time but was nice and hot and delicious as always!

Took over two hours to arrive. No salad with the starters. Hardly any meat in the curry and the rice was disgusting and the naan looked like it was shop bought. Won't be using again.

Come here quite regular but never put a review on. Tonight I wanted to because I have eaten at various place in the last few weeks and then came back to Mumbai. I felt it deserved a great review. Food was excellent, portion size is generous and prices are affordable. Well done guys one of the best curry restaurants in the area for miles.

Rude. Hang up on you when phoning to question an order you’ve just received ! Orders arrive different every single time you order one week , the same the next and it’s different never consistent!

What a disappointment, pre ordered our meal at 5.11pm to be delivered at 7.30pm, food turned up at 8.20pm! My husband called the restaurant 16 times & the phone was not picked up once!!! Onion bhajis were a huge disappointment, didn’t enjoy any of it, complete waste of time & money!!!

Best curry house I know of in Northern England. Good staff, good value, amazing food. The pineapple Murgh Makhani is especially good.

The dishes were too ‘watery’ and not as flavoursome’ as we’d like, sadly. We tried this restaurant for delivery/take away but we also didn’t receive our naan bread. Not worth contacting the restaurant as by the time it got to us, we’d have eaten it. So we are it but left a fair bit because it was ‘alright’. I’ve done better with chicken and a jar of curry sauce.

The food was cold and we ordered keema naan and got poppadoms.

Order delivered late. Opened up and onion bhajis missing. Rang to tell them and they agreed to send them. They never turned up. Never had a correct delivery from here and I won’t be ordering again

Shocking food, the Indian was really watery and it upset my stomach within 30m of having. Last time I’m ordering from here.

8 of us rocked up on a Saturday night without a booking. Managed to get us seated. Staff very attentive. Young guy, Nathan i think he was called, was amazing. Great food at a good price. We will be back

Took nearly 2 hours from order to arrive. Food not particularly hot. Starters were lovely but mains were small portions and not particularly great tasting, especially bearing in mind the the price

Placed a order online payed and payed extra on delivery 18.11 order confirmed order 75mins 20.15 phoned restaurant said it's out on delivery 2050 phoned again as it's been in the car a while no it's not coming we are under staffed poor service and dont deliver to you after taking the extra delivery charge and the meal

Ordered 3 main dishes and 2 of them were disgusting. If I would have been sat in the restaurant I would have sent them back. First and last time I order from here

So happy to see so many clearly labelled vegan options. Lovely homemade tasting food. Will be back to try some other options!

Delivery was promt but overall the food was quite dull. I've had far better curries in other restaurants and takeaways in Doncaster.

I've eaten inside regularly at this restaurant and love it. First time I've had a takeaway from there and was abysmal. Very small curry portions and I ordered a cheese and onion naan, what I received can only be described as a margarita pizza. To be fair, when I phoned the restaurant to complain they said they'd send another out ASAP. That did happen...exactly the same order arrive. Most went in the bin.

Excellent. I don't really eat meat so the chef did me a fish handi even though it wasn't on the menu.............and it was superb. The service was first class and the bill very reasonable for such quality. Recommended!

Had a takeaway earlier this evening, our first from The Mumbai, & I have to say I was very disappointed with what we got. Both starters were missing their salad, despite clearly stating that they were part of the dish, the mains were more like soup than curry with only 4x king prawns in each, no substance whatsoever, just an oily, milky broth. I had high hopes, not anymore!!
