The staff were really friendly and helpful with the menu. The food was really fresh with lots of flavour. The onion bhaji's were fantastic - really light and crispy and the samosas had a great flavour.

This restaurant is no more what it used to be. The service has become terrible, cook rubbish in the name of food. My husband and I have ordered fried rice and noodles which was rubbish, but it was after that we ,started to have severe stomach ache and vomitings the entire bloody night. This would happen only when the same oil is used 100× .I seriously suspect the quality standards (substandard) of ingredients used here. If you want to keep your health and happiness, we sincerely recommend to avoid this place.

Amazing healthy food. Never had tandoori chicken tikka in such a natural flavor before. Amazing restaurant. We had tandoori chicken tikka, steamed rice and dal makhani. Even the mint chutney served with tandoori chicken was fresh , flavorful and tasty. Very happy with the food. Everything was very fresh and tasty.

The food was delicious, I had the samosas followed by the butter chicken curry with pilau rice and garlic naan. I’d rate it better than Jumaira. Service was lovely and there was a nice calm atmosphere throughout despite there being a number of other tables of guests around. I’ll definitely be going back

Usually really good, but tonight the chicken was a bit tough and the poppadoms were not very crispy, clearly had been made a while.

My honest opinion we have ordered from here for years I live on the same street I've only just ordered today since it changed ownership its not what it use to be it's not the worst but it's never going to be what it used to be if the owners are reading this I'd just give it up move location it's Saturday night the street used to be heaving with customers there was not one person in there your wasting money staying open

In Starter Paneer Shashlika is not good. Rest Main Food was nice we ordered Vegetable Karahi , Baingan Bharta both were nice & in breads we ordered Lachha Parantha & Roti both were good . So overall was Fine.

We have visited this restaurant a couple of times since it opened under new ownership. It is very posh inside and in a beautiful old building. It is a little walk from the town centre but still very close. The menu is far more interesting than the usual Indian restaurants in Doncaster, with lots of street food classics for starters. It is also extremely good for vegetarians and many of the curries can be done with paneer or veg instead of meat. Each dish is different and distinct from the other and was full of fresh ingredients. Favourites were the Chilli Paneer, Aubergine curry, black dal and paneer shashlik. The staff were very attentive and knew what they were doing. You could tell they cared about the job. I think that if this place was in Leeds or Manchester it would be packed out every night. Give it a go.

Second time here and absolutely superb again. 3pm Saturday. Fairly quiet. Again, gorgeously tasty food. Wonderful. Going to bring some other friends soon. Cheers guys.

First truely Indian test. Paneer Tikka and daal makhani was truely Indian test.

2.5 star. We visited for a birthday after having great food and drinks here last year, not sure if the place has changed hands but it was a completely different experience and we were very disappointed. When we arrived we were given a drinks menu, I ordered a pornstar martini which was £8.50, reasonable considering how lovely they were last time, but tonight I was served what can only be described as watered down orangade, it was disgusting, it in no way resembled a pornstar martini, I wish I had taken a photo to post, it was terrible. The food was nice but the madras had no heat at all, tasty but mild and we had to wait over half an hr just for poppadoms even though there were only 2 other tables in, on a Saturday evening at 7.30 they should be heaving, they certainly used to be. Such a shame as the place used to be a little gem, sadly we won't be visiting again or recommending to anyone else.

Party of 9 for a birthday celebration. It took us 80 mins to have poppodums and pickle tray provided. The service was absolutely shocking, you can’t embarrass them to serve you. One of our party’s main course was missed out. No apology just casually knocked it off the bill at the end. Asked twice to clear drinks glasses they had collected and stacked at the end of the table, still there when we left. What an absolute shower of incompetent fools. Seriously, don’t waste your money at this place, it’s nothing like what it used to be!!!!

We visited Spice and Ice last night and were blown away by the quality of the food. We were also really dismayed that we were the only people in. So firstly, the restaurant itself is still super glamourous and very comfortable. But the food is the real star now. Firstly, they have included very interesting dishes on the menu such as Gobi Manchurian and Aloo Papri Chaat alongside curry house favourites. They managed to get everything right. Our favourite dish was a smoky aubergine dish called Baingan Bharta. The waiter explained how they burtnt the aubergine skin to get the flavour. We got the impression that all the food was made from scratch with this type of care. Another star dish was the Samosas, they are the Punjabi style made with thick pastry, slightly spicy and very filling. Also, the wine was a reasonable price and great quality. So the only criticism we could come up with was “no craft beer”, but that’s pretty much the same for all restaurants in Doncaster. Finally, the staff were excellent. They were knowledgeable, polite and professional. Photo of the bill included but we all thought it was excellent value for what we had. They are obviously skilled in the trade and cared about customers. We told them they need an Open Now banner out front because we thought the place had closed down. Anyway, if you are in the area, please give them a go.

Under new management!! Food was incredible!! Service was totally sub par!! It wasn't overly busy, actually quite empty when we arrived.... drinks took 25 minutes, table water 15 minutes. Popadom tray took 30 minutes. Saw them taking beers to people with half the glass as head. Food arrived asked for salt, 5 minutes later asked for salt again and we was given pepper. We hadn't finished eating, guy asked if we wanted anything else, after replying that was enough he immediately asked if he could fetch the bill over. Waiting for the young one to finish and he brought the bill over anyway. And to finish, no usual hot towel and mint. Food arrived after 35 minutes. It was incredible!! Overall we are really disappointed for the service that was provided tonight! We won't be attending again. Previous owners has that place on point. The front of house was suited, there ready to serve when needed. They need to take a leaf out of his book 🙏

Visited recently on a quiet Saturday lunchtime. The food was great. The saag paneer especially was amazing. Will definitely return

When we got there, there was barely any other customers inside the venue, we didn’t get a single interactions with any staff members for over twenty minutes. They wasn’t busy and looked at us multiple times but didn’t approach to get us seated. After they approached us and seated us we was then left for a further twenty five minutes till we then decided to get up and leave, staff were not fazed that we was leaving. Wouldn't recommend this place the staff will leave you to wait around for no reason, would much prefer to eat at Ciaos which is located within ten minutes distance from this place.

Enjoyed the food very much. Loved the fact that the different curries all look different unlike some restaurants. The surprise starter was a surprise😁😉

Tried this restaurant last night, food was absolutely delicious. The mix grill starter was gorgeous. I was particularly impressed with the peshwari naan and prawn saag. Great atmosphere and service, will definitely visit again next time I happen to be in Doncaster.

We booked a table for seven on Saturday 2nd September 2023, this was the first time we'd been to this restaurant and all of us agreed that was hand on heart one of the best establishments we've had the pleasure of visiting, the food was amazing, just amazing!!! The staff were so nice and friendly and attentive. We can't recommend enough, we will be back again without even a second thought for anywhere else.... loved it

I visited with friends and found the service was good and the portions good sized but the flavours were not outstanding and didn’t come up to expectations. I found the drinks prices a little steep for Doncaster too.

Exceptionally good! My wife is a very good Indian cook so I get spoiled at home with really authentic dishes, making dining out (or getting a takeaway) rather disappointing on most occasions, hence it is a rarity for me to even try. Spice and Ice are the exception. I did my homework before choosing this venue. Their out of town presence and their lack of gaudy external advertising means that they rely on their reputation rather than passing foot traffic, which is always a good filter when trying to find a really good restaurant. This time I was not disappointed and will certainly go back there again. My compliments to the chef and a thank you to the staff for the excellent and courteous service.

We drive past this place a couple of times a week and I always thought it was in an odd location. I actually doubted it was a real restaurant because I just couldn’t understand who would be the customers. We decided to try it for a take away tonight and let me tell you it was the second nicest Indian takeaway I’ve ever had (the first being my first ever taste of Indian food as a young child). Everything about it was delicious and it arrived on time. My only complaint was I definitely ate to much for a weeknight as it was just too tasty. If we can get some baby sitters we would like to visit the restaurant at some point in the future and will definitely be ordering take away again

It was amazing food firstly i ordered Chicken biryani with the madras spicy, Glass of Mango lassi it’s very spicy i didn’t expect this much spicy i enjoyed my biryani dinner and also loved Mango lassi then after again i ordered take away one more same chicken biryani 👌👌👌

A fantastic experience at spice and ice. To start the staff were very attentive and couldn’t have done more for us if they tried. The menu is extensive and well informed with gluten allergies etc. All our dishes were fresh and had deep flavours throughout. The only thing I could pick on is the lack of chutneys with the poppadoms but this is very minor. This was a very good experience and I hope to return next time I’m in the area.

Lovely restaurant, with nice decor.. food was delicious and tasty. Really hot and served quick. Would recommend to a friend and definitely return. We ordered - a diet coke, alcohol free beer, large still bottled water. Bhaiis, pilau rice, chips, 2 garlic naans, chicken pasanda, chicken rogan josh, pickle tray & 3 poppadoms. This came to £50.95 which is very reasonable. Really big portions, couldn’t finish it all.

We ordered a delivery from Spice & Ice this evening, we have ordered on numerous occasions and the food has always been beautiful. This evening, our food was anything but! We ordered a garlic chilli lamb and saag tikka chicken as main courses. They were beyond disappointing! The garlic chilli lamb was like something straight out of a crap Chinese takeaway and the saag chicken was half oil, half sauce. I immediately rang the restaurant to complain and he stated that he would not refund the meal because ‘many people rang up and complained’. He offered us the same meal tomorrow night but who actually wants 2 Indian takeaways over 2 nights? I wouldn’t mind if this was a standard Indian takeaway but our order cost £45 where at another local Indian takeaway - it would be half the price and we would just take that by the by. Has Spice & Ice changed hands? Don’t go or order takeaway - you will be disappointed!!

Ordered garlic chilli lamb, come out in black gravy sauce, asked them if they changed recipe, waiters said yes they changed this dish to Indonesian / Chinese style ! Its Indian restaurant so why they serve Indonesian/Chinese dish? Menu doesn't say that meal is Chinese ! By the way that tasted horrible. we wont go back there agin as we dont know what to expect next time ? They may serve us chicken tikka masala Mexican style !

Food was lovely but almost an hour wait between starter and main course and even then we had to wait for the rice to arrive after the mains were presented. There seemed to be more emphasis placed on the delivery service that we could see arriving at the back of the restaurant than diners although this may be a completely wrong opinion. I would definitely order a takeaway from them but probably won't return to the restaurant.

Nice ambience.. tasty food. We ordered paneer chilly , nalli ghost , paneer jalfrezi, fish, tandoori chicken.. all was good.. except the Manchurian which was quite tangy and sweet, gravy was too thick served with plain rice, not worth the price. Garlic Nan was amazing . Will definitely visit again . Would be great if they introduce more vegetarian options like chole bhature ..

May I just say that the customer service reached beyond excellence, The Manager & the lady which seemed to be a supervisor were exceptional, outperforming and acknowledging our needs and mainly serving by themselves unlike some management in other restaurants/ lounges which made it even more special. Additionally the staff were also fantastic as they ensured & maintained our satisfaction, including the gentleman greeting us at the front and guiding us through the service. This is what made the food taste even more delicious. It was my first time and my family relatives’ second and we definitely recommend the restaurant as a whole. Also the way the Chicken Dum Biryani was delicious!! Thank you.

We picked up a takeaway meal to enjoy on Christmas day. It was recommended by a Doncaster resident as we are visiting family in Dunscroft. The Restaurant was easy to find the interior was fabulous. Staff were very friendly and attentive as we enjoyed a drink whilst awaiting our order. The food was plentiful & extremely tasty the Lamb melted in our mouth. My husband had Chicken Tikka Madras he said it was stunning. We highly recommend Spice & Ice for value for money & extremely tasty food.

After a Doncaster v Gillingham win (we are Gillingham fans) we needed somewhere to lift our spirits and we couldn’t recommend Spice and Ice more highly. The food is wonderful and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Top tip: order the Biryani
