The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

We had a lovely family birthday lunch. The restaurant is very smart as are the staff. Beautiful white table cloths. The food choices on the banquet menu were extensive and good value. The food was lovely too. The staff couldn’t have made us more welcome.

Second Bad meal in a row, Cant believe after all the great stories, the curries can be so bad, flavour less, even had to put salt and pepper on a meal , unheard of in an Indian, Curry was tasteless , just gravy and meat , so disappointing , every Curry house in the old town knocks spots off this place. Not worth 1 star if honest , Matt & Donna Zero Stars

food always top quality, and brilliant service polite and friendly

The food and service in this restaurant was really good. The restaurant was nicely lit with comfortable seating and good space between the tables. The staff were attentive and polite with a friendly attitude, that made it a pleasant experience to Injoy the wonderful authentic food that offer. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. I would recommend this restaurant.

Really enjoyed our evening at the Curry Leaf. The food was very nice and the staff were lovely. We will definitely go again and would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great naans, that's about it! On the surface it seems to be all right, but when you ask for anything there is a problem. They were out of larger, they were out of lemonade, they were out of prawns etc The gents toilet had a sticker on it saying 'out of oder' And then we came to the bill, they said card machine was not working1

We ordered chicken byriani and chicken karahi and although the portion size were great, the chicken was tough and tasted like old chicken. This was a real shame as everything else was great, including the poppadoms, which you can't really go wrong with these. Looking at other review it appears that others have had dry over cooked chicken, similar to what we had although it had a old taste to it and had to leave the meat from our meals.

Food was ok didn’t think the waiter was hygienic wiping his nose on a napkin didn’t think it was appropriate for people eating in the restaurant

Visited tonight with my dad, great food and great service! I would definitely visit again. I had a lmab dish which was perfect and my dad had beef, we shared a chicken rice which was perfect!

Exceptional food fantastic service and beautiful environment. Well worth a visit. Raj the owner and the entire team were accommodating. The ambiance of the restaurant was 5*

We are new to the area having just moved in this week and thought after a long week we would treat ourselves to a take away tonight. With so much choice in Sandwich we settled for Chutney Masala and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Great service on the phone and delivery guy was friendly to the food which was amazing. I had the Chicken Tikka (not too adventurous) and my wife had the Chicken Shashlik both of which were cooked fresh with no grease and had great taste. It’s fair to say now we will be back as we begin our life here in Sandwich! Keep doing what you’re doing at Chutney Masala….its brilliant.

I had not been to my regular Indian/Bangladeshi for a long time due to Covid. I tried their take away tonight. Very nice prawn puri starter and lamb tikka main + excellent sag aloo. Old reliable.
