Naz in Staffordshire Moorlands

A post football curry with the family and it was superb.Mixed starter and vegetable samosa for Mrs C - we followed this green massalla, south indian chicken for Little C and chicken korma for Mrs C.A rice to share and naans all round - absolutley superb.

We had a takeaway from The Naz last night, it was delicious. Hot, freshly prepared and promptly ready for collection. Thank you

It was the first post lockdown curry for the Grace Street Posse & it was very good. No starters as we had been to a localwatering hole before - so poppas & mains. Everyone enjoyed it - hot, tasty, spicy & fillingWe need to enjoy life & apprecaite friends more - this was a great night

Excellent service from start to finish. Food always impresses and caters for all tastes. Would seriously recommend the chicken chat starter and the Staff curry. Always excellent food and service love any food on the menu they never disappoint, we have tried all the Indian restaurants in leek take in and away this is the best by far.

The staff where very attractive and caring ,also the food was excellent. The food was ready to collect within 20 minutes and very fresh.

Lovely fresh spicy tasty food for all four of us. We'll presented, hot and delicious. Never fails to impress, always great Service really good and staff very polite, and cheerful.

There is not a negative thing to say about the food , staff or even the restaurant apart from it is not closer to where we live , but well worth the journey , we have found nowhere as good as here . Also not forgetting they have a fabulous range of vegetarian dishes .

I love to visit Naz’s Restaraunt the food is excellent The service is amazing. Whenever we go and eat there we are always invited to the kitchen to tell chef how much we have enjoyed the food. The kitchen is spotless. Highly recommend Naz’s. See you soon

We visited about a week ago. The staff and service was very friendly and welcoming.The food was outstanding and the portions very generous.Only downside was that the restaurant had a few big parties and so it was very noisy, we hardly able to hear ourselves talk. But, this may have just been on the night we chose to go.

Environment is lovely with lost of good tables to choose from. My personal favourite is table 10 but most of the restaurant is light and airy with plenty of space between tables and most of all comfortable. Staff are always welcoming and professional

Have been going here since we moved to leek, maybe once a month for a takeaway - really good food, lovely ambiance when picking up, friendly and chatty staff.

Have been to this fabulous restaraunt several times and have never been disappointed on any of the visits. The food is always fresh and tasty and the ambience of the restaraunt is very friendly.

Called in just after 6pm, not many in. We ordered a sharing starter, and a main. The starter was as big as a main and each element on the plate was delicious. My main was Chicken Danielle and the flavour was superb, each individual spice could be tasted. It was hot but not blow your brains out hot. Subtle but distinctive. Will definitely be returning.

Good as usual, extensive menu, but with a fresh home cooked and distinctive tastes. Just love the Indian cottage cheese dish!

We have used this curry house for years and it never disappoints the taste and presentation is superb and a cracking atmosphere,it’s well worth a visit.

After not finding a table at another local pub to dine we went looking for somewhere else and decided to go in Nazs, and so pleased we did the service and the food quality were excellent, I had chicken jalfrezi and my daughter had the vegetarian option and it was very hard to see the visual difference between the two dishes that’s how good they were and yes hers was a quorn version and son-in-law had another veggie option which he said was delicious and both agreed it was the best vegetarian meal anywhere they had eaten in a restaurant , we will deffo be back and I can highly recommend this restaurant.

We stumbled on this restaurant totally by accident. We visited Leek on a friday night to our usual restaurant. Only to find it was jam packed and no tables. So we walked about Leek and decided to try Naz restaurant for the first time. I started with poppadom which was ok, i wasn't keen on the onion or dips and to be honest at this point i wasnt expecting to be wowed by the food to follow. I ordered onion bahji for starters, the portion size was plentiful and the consistency was perfect. For mains i ordered the Quorn Jalfrezi, this was AMAZING !! this is the first time i have ever been to an Indian restaurant and seen Quorn on the menu ! .. the Jalfrezi was cooked to perfection, it was spicy with a kick to it, really tasty. I had garlic rice to go with it, again the rice tasted perfect. i could not fault the food one bit, and we will be going back definitely. Highly recommend.

The first visit was for my birthday treat with friends since then I have been numerous times and have never been disappointed.

A few of us who stand together at football meet annually for a curry - this year it was the turn of the Naz. Couldn't fault it really - very good, typical curry, with some nice touches around choice and presentation. Definitely worth a return.

I took a party of 22 people on a saturday night in April 2019 and it was excellent,the meals all came out together they were hot and delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Service quick and effcient. I can well recommend Naz.

Went in at 6pm on a Sunday when the restaurant was empty. Would not seat us as we had a push chair. Despite us offering to take the baby out to fold up the push chair.

We fancied a change and this was really nice - if not a tad expensive compressed to other local Indians

We arrived at 6pm on a Saturday and there were already three other tables and a 60th birthday party due, in what is quite a small restaurant. We had no issue therefore, having booked last minute, to be told they required the table back at 7:30pm.

Every time I visit Naz’s we are all made to feel so welcome

This was our first visit to the Naz in Leek and it won't be the last. The menu is extensive and the food was excellent. The service was very good and the decor was nice making us feel relaxed. Would highly recommend.

My other half and I have visited Naz many times now and I can honestly say we have never had a bad or even average meal-every meal we have eaten has been full of flavour and very tasty!

best Indian restaurant in leek! we go on a Sunday nearly every week and it's always amazing food the food is full of flavour and well cooked every time. The staff are lovely and very helpful too. lovely atmosphere and very clean they always have our orders ready for us to collect on time if we ever order takeaway. we just love it :)

Not familiar with the restaurants in Leek we settled on Naz. An appealing looking restaurant, bright and clean with very pleasant and personable service. The takeaway arrived quickly.

Eaten at Naz's place on many occasions, the service, food and wine are always excellent. The restaurant is immaculately clean with nice white linen on the tables.

I went to the restaurant with a couple of friends not really knowing what to expect. I found the whole evening most enjoyable with good food, service and surroundings. The waitress recommended starters and main course which were wholly enjoyable so will certainly go back there again. Brilliant well worth a try

We popped in without booking for an ad hoc birthday treat for a friend. Pleasantly surprised how many tables were taken and delighted to be accommodated as a table for 3. We skipped the starters and went straight for a main course and a naan bread each. I'm a total spice head so went for the hottest looking thing (couldn't see vindaloo on the menu but sure they would have done one if I'd asked. However, it's been my experience that vindaloo's are held in so much contempt that I rarely get a good one) I digress... The food was swiftly prepared and served. My lamb could have been softer and more plentiful and the portion size was a little on the small side. I also felt that it was quite sweet which I attributed to the copious quantity of cooked down onions. My dining companions gave there food an 'it's OK but not great' verdict What made the meal was our waitress who once she'd warmed up was smashing to deal with. She even gave our friend a free drink to take away with her for her birthday! We'll more than likely come back but next time I'll be a bit more specific about the dish I order.

We could tell this wasn't just heated up to order. It was fresh and not a bit 'heavy' or covered in 'gloopy' sauces. The taste of the veg and meat really came through. Service also good. Would definitely recommend.

I allowed myself to be guided by Naz in my choice of meal since many of the dishes on the menu were new to me. I can't remember the name of the dish he chose for me, but it was excellent. My wife also enjoyed her favourite chicken tikka which was cooked with a natural marinade and was juicy and flavoursome. My daughter was less happy with her chicken korma. She found the chicken dry and a little tough and the sauce bland.

Visited for the first time last night for my Brothers birthday. There were 10 of us, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic. The best curry I've had for years. Will definitely go again.

Having eaten for many years in the Pabna, we defected to the Qarma in 2011 based on word of mouth. The Qarma food was excellent but with issues in the family the food went down bank and has since changed ownership in 2018, so I needed to find a new Indian in Leek. Having been to Naz in the past I had always enjoyed the food as a change from going to the Qarma. Since defecting to the Naz in August 2017, we have been going for dinner once a week. This in its self tells you the food is very good. Naz the owner is very welcoming and helpful, and we have got to know him well. I would highly recommed this restaurant for couples and families. Also if you are in Burslem try his brothers restraurant The Great Mogal. Another top Indian to dine at.

We had a very good Indian meal here, a main meal preceded by poppadoms and good service from the staff; plenty of choice as well.

Like home from home. You will always get a big welcome at Naz's. The food is great, service is always with a smile and Naz is a friend to everyone he meets. Well worth a visit if you've never been. Be sure to book if you want to go a bit later in the evening as it soon gets busy.

We got to the restaurant very early so the place was pretty empty, by the time the rest of our party had arrived the place had filled up and was buzzing. The staff are great and cannot do enough. Our starters were bang on time as were our drinks. The mains were superb quality and piping hot considering how busy they were. Shall certainly be going back.

Been going to Naz for the last 10 years, never ever had a bad meal. Service is amazing and the food is so delicious- cooked to order and it’s so fresh! Best curry house in Leek by far! Keep up the good work!

I ate here solo recently and really enjoyed the ambience and the fact that the proprietor seems very well connected to the people of Leek.

My madras had zero heat or taste. It was effectively chicken in curry gravy. So I've missed my chilli hit this weekend. My wife had the king prawn jhal puri.....no taste, very watery plus the chef didn't bother taking the shell off the prawn. A quite expensive take-away that I wished I had taken the time to drive out and get from somewhere else. Never again Naff.....err, Naz!

Such a lovely place food is always spot on and staff are lovely and are great with our little girl. Always really nice when we go there. Cant wait till our next curry night out.

We had searched for good restaurants for our weekend in Leek and as we are fans of Indian food Naz stood out as a restaurant we really wanted to visit. We arrived on Saturday having booked a table at 7.00 as we knew it would be busy being Mothering Sunday tomorrow. Glad we booked as the restaurant was buzzing and obviously really popular.

A group of ladies from our golf club ate here last night and I was very impressed with the service and the food. It was excellent value and the food was delicious, can really recommend a very pleasant restaurant and staff were brilliant, thank you!

We eat here on a regular basis and are never disappointed. Plenty of parking nearby. The place has been very recently refurbished but it honestly didn't need it, its always had a modern welcoming feel. The service is always outstanding and food second to none. The place is spotlessly clean. It's not the cheapest Indian we have been to but we believe that you get what you pay for and that quality costs. We have experienced both the veggie and meat options and both are tasty with quality meat used in said dishes. We highly recommend this place.

While on our stay at Buxton, we went to Leek to try few of the curry houses (yes! i am a curry lover) and came across Naz. Not the best of ambience but it did the magic. Really friendly staff who were very attentive and polite. We skipped on the starters and had main courses straight away. Enjoyed the meal (couldve been better) but overall it was a lovely experience for worth £36 for 3 people.

Very good service here and overall a good curry. I had the Staffordshire oatcake with spicy fish for starter which was great and my wife pakora. The mains were good too although I got the end bits of the chicken fillets left in mine. Would definitely go again.

We have been to this restaurant many times over the years but the last three times have been disappointing. We have felt the quality of the meat to be poor and have both been up all night with stomach pains. Sadly we won't be going again. Sad as the staff are lovely and the setting good too.

Visited The Naz again for our treat and we were welcomed by Naz to the newly refurbished restaurant. Excellent food was served, as usual, by superb staff. Nothing too much trouble as the husband wanted some tweaking to his curry and chef duly obliged leaving the husband and myself very happy indeed. We can't recommend The Naz highly enough. Always a delight to sample new things on their extensive menu and never disappointed. Quality fresh food served at a very reasonable price. We will be back again very soon.

Since moving away from Leek I haven't found anywhere like Naz, I try my best to visit every time I'm back. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Naz himself is very accommodating eg. he's always happy to give you advice if you like your food a certain way. He's just installed some new seating which is comfy and should be good for big parties. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit for anyone that's not yet had the pleasure!

Best in Leek. Need I say more... The curry is full of flavour, the rice is moist and fluffy, the Nan breads are hot and generously filled. Drinks good price! 5/5 excellence.

Came with friends had a lovely meal high standard of food and excellent service have been many times and can say I have always had more than enough food. I have never had a bad meal and Naz had spoilt us for going anywhere else as we expect the same high standards of food and hospitality. Thank you Naz and your excellent chefs and waiting on staff.

We went to Naz for a birthday celebration and had a great time. The service was very fast and friendly and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend the mixed platter starter to share. The main course was also top quality (mirch podina). Very nice, relaxing atmosphere also. We will be back again soon.

Having met up with some old school friends, we decided to go ago Naz on recommendations.All I can say is the service, food and price were excellent.I had the Chicken Shalik, along with popadums and mixed pickle when down with a Cobra beer.Can't recommend this place enough.Will certainly be going back.

Food was ok but portions were very small no where near enough to fill me, not what i'm used to from a curry house. Also felt like we were rushed starters were put down before we'd finished poppadoms and mains came very quick. Naans were dry too. All in all I wouldn't recommend and I wouldn't return.

We were in Leek over the weekend and searched the Indian restaurant and this one came up with high score and some nice review. We decided to give it try. We love Indian food and have dined at Indian restaurants in different cities and different countries. We just returned from a trip to India and enjoyed food there. However, food from this restaurant so far is the worst! The portion is extremely small and tasteless. We ordered tandoori chicken in kind of source and also vegetable in curry source. Both came out with extremely small portion and taste is very bland. The garlic naan is very dry, It was very disappointed meal. Definitely not recommend it.

We had a reasonable meal, but the portions were small, we thought the wine was over priced and we ordered a pint of Soda water which we were charged £3.75 for !!! we were really disappointed at this extortionate cost for something that you get free at most places or a small token charge. We will certainly not be going back there, our friends may do because they visit Leek regular, very disappointed.

Naz has a great menu featuring all the favourites and also has a brilliant Chefs special menu. Chef Dada has come up with a good selection of exclusive house dishes to cover all tastes!

Naz is a great little restaurant, not to cramped, very helpful staff but not over bearing, all in all relaxing environment for couples and families to enjoy an expansive menu. Food quality is good with great advice from the staff. all at a very reasonable price.well worth a try.

I visited Naz for the first time to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant was fairly quiet. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. They assisted with descriptions of dishes and this helped my wife and I make informed choices. The restaurant accommodates all age groups - we covered all ages - literally form 7 to 70. The food came well presented and the portions were excellent. I was surprised at the very reasonable prices. We have already decided to go back on our next visit to Leek.

Really good curry. Menu has plenty of choice, and whilst the old favourites are there there are numerous dishes that are that bit different from the usual stuff. Had a good lamb fillet in an onion-type sauce and 2 companions also enjoyed their selections. Friendly staff. Obviously a need to book on Saturday nights, place full.

First time at this establishment and was pleasantly surprised.The service was good, and the food was very tasty.I had the mixed Biryani which had lamb tikka, chicken tikka and mushroom in. Highly recommended.

We visited the naz for a works reunion.(Ladies aged 45 to 55) Food was ok but the hospitality was shocking... Young man firstly came to order and had no customer service skills at all, a smile might of helped. But no.so miserable... Food came was ok, Bill came , fine...still no smile.... Then a chip flew across the restaurant from a neighbouring table of mid 20 somethings and hit a friend in the eye.....hospitality awful ... Again......I have been here on numerous occasions over the years and always feel that they want your money but then can't wait to get you out.... Plenty more excellent Indian restaurants in leek with fantastic customer service , give it a miss or be prepared to be shifted out as soon as the bill has been paid.

Lovely food - a bit different from the usual as they don't use any colouring in the cooking - somehow this seemed to enhance the flavour. Usual fare that you would expect but everything ordered was delicious. Highly recommended. Cant comment on value for money as was treated by a colleague as we held a business meeting.

Been here plenty of times with my uncle before the comedy club on a Thursday.Good value curry and would definetly attend again, however, it's not completely grabbed me as the must go curry hour in Leek to attend.

We visited early on a Saturday evening , we hadn't booked but they found us a table. I had a change from my usual Madras and had the chicken tikka Podina. My partner had the chicken rogan Josh. Both dishes were good but mine could have done with being a bit hotter in temperature as it was only warm, not hot, but still tested good. The garlic coriander nan was good as was the lime and coriander rice. We would return if in Leek again.

Visited yesterday and it was superb. The place is spotless. The menu has so many great choices from specials to old favourites. We all left feeling very satisfied and the food was really fresh tasting. I can't recommend highly enough. If you are thinking of going, stop thinking and go! It's now our new go to place!

The Naz is a great Bangladeshi/Indian restaurant. Quiet small and intimate and always kept very clean and tidy by the eponymous proprietor who welcomes you on arrival. Naz serves all your favourite dishes plus numerous house specials, I would personally recommend the Tandoori Fish Garlic Bhuna or a Chicken Jalfrezi if you fancy something hotter.
