Yatri in Camden

Six of us ate at Yatri for the first time this week, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The quality and taste of all our food was outstanding. Generous portions at excellent pricing, all served in a buzzing atmosphere by attentive and friendly staff. We were down in London for the weekend and we won't hesitate to return next time we're down. Highly recommended.

So good the first time, we had to return! Authentic, genuine Indian cuisine. Food was outstanding, staff were very friendly and knowledgeable when describing the dishes. In a quiet side street away from the hustle and bustle of Euston Rd. Thoroughly recommend.

Good food in a buzzy atmosphere. My lamb was tender, the dal palak (with spinach) was moreish and the rasmallai for desert was very indulgent. The basket of poppadums was poor value including small ones, straight out of a packet. Be aware that the tables are tightly packed and while staff are attentive, they do keep things moving quickly to ensure you don't exceed your 1.5 hour time slot. So not a restaurant to linger. Ice cold glasses for our Jaipur IPAs was a nice touch and this is the first time I've seen Kulfi ice cream served on stick, as an ice lolly...!!

Would advise booking as was busy but they managed to find us a table as a walk in. Staff very attentive and advised of dishes. Food was DELICIOUS and served hot and quickly. Would highly recommend.

Plats savoureux, pas trop gras, les nan fromage sont différents de ceux qu’on mange en France, c’est différent. Great genuin Indian food with very service minded staff. Highly recommended. Try the railway chicken, a specialty filled with flavours.

I cannot think of many Indian restaurants where you can get a meal of this quality - 2 courses and a couple of Cobra beers for less than £60. The best Indian restaurant in KX. Service is friendly from the young team and the quality of food very good. For mains I had the Lasooni chicken with spinach which I found a little rich though moorish and my partner the vegetarian Gujarat Undhiyu with bread and Jerra rice. An enjoyable meal - we loo forward to going again.

The staff were ok and the food and drinks came to the table quickly but we felt we were being hurried, the restaurant wasn’t that busy at the time so a bit confused as to why. I have eaten lots of Indian food in my time and one thing I can say is it’s never bland, however that was the first bland Indian meal I have had, we both ordered different dishes and they tasted exactly the same as each other, the popodums were like the ones you buy in a packet from Tesco and the side order of chips were frozen ones ,the rice was ok and we did eat it all but only because we were hungry, we visit this area of London a lot and won’t be going back,

Disappointed with the quality of their chef special dishes : Railways Chicken had 50% potatoes , 20% chicken (over cooked) and the rest was gravy . The Shish Kebabs for starters was thin and two half pieces . The Menu looks very reasonably priced but there is devil in the details .

Really tasty Indian. Myself and three pals had a delightful evening with some really excellent food. It was a fabulous evening. Very friendly and helpful staff too. We will be back and highly recommend !

Now open Sunday evenings this was our first visit to Yatri for some time. We have been missing a concise menu though which offers something for everyone and excellent food all looked after by a young team. Some prices seem to be on the high side (compared to say Drummond St) though we could not fault the food and we had an enjoyable meal with a combination of chicken and vegetarian dishes and sides of rice and a garlic nan. Including a couple of beers our bill came to £67 including service. For this standard of cooking very good value - we look forward to our next visit.

Met up with friends from London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. It was tricky to know numbers and exact timing but the staff were so helpful and easygoing. There was no rush to order or to vacate the table despite it being a Saturday and pretty busy. The food was delicious and a bit different from usual curry menus. Lots of choice for vegetarians. I would totally recommend this restaurant and would go again.

We dropped into Yatri at short notice, and the friendly, welcoming team fitted us into a busy Saturday night. We ordered the Bombay Chicken Curry and the Muglai Kadhai Lamb with some naan. The food was moderately spiced and incredibly tasty (truly authentic flavours), and the meats were incredibly well cooked. It's possibly the best lamb curry we've had. After all that, we were then surprised to see how reasonable the bill was at the end. Well done Yatri and thanks. If we're in the area again, we will come back.

Over for the Rugby World Cup and met friends and family here for dinner. Absolutely perfect . We had a set menu as were wanting to try a bit of everything. Fun staff , perfect food , lots of laughter in this beautiful London restaurant. The food is beautiful, the atmosphere is second to none …. Probably the best Indian we have have ever eaten.

Didn’t know the restaurant before our weekend visit but we were staying nearby so took a chance. It turned out to be a really nice evening. The service was excellent, friendly but not too in your face. The choice of dishes was good, many that I have never seen elsewhere. I don’t eat meat & was pleased with the amount of veggie/vegan options. Everything we chose was tasty, and well presented.

The food and service was excellent. We had lamb samosas. I had a chicken curry . Everything tasted delicious. The only issue I had was I felt a bit rushed . He kept bringing the bill when we still had drinks to finish .

I love to visit this restaurant when I’m in London. Staff are very friendly. All food and drink is well presented and good value for central London with good ingredients and well spiced.. Good sized portions of tasty food. Staff attentive but you are not rushed.

Toooooooo expensive. Food was ok. But a price of more than 50 GBP for to mains, one beer and one soft drinks are way out of line.

Although the restaurant was decorated in a cool and contemporary fashion, the service was not great ,portions quite small and my meal ,paneer korma was anaemic and inedible. It did not resemble or taste like a korma I have had before ,anywhere. The chips were clearly from a frozen bag My fellow diners enjoyed their meals at the time, but have since paid the price. I have read great reviews about this place - hence the visit, but was left less than impressed overall.

Lovely young, fun staff, great menu , interesting choices, plenty veggie options. Food arrived in good time, bloody delicious. Wife and i are regular Indian eaters and this food was up there with the best. Came as was staying round corner after long haul flight so jet lagged, hungry and a bit ratty when arrived but left completely healed! Thanks everyone.

Lovely food but too rushed. The starters and main dishes were delicious but it was all very chaotic with food arriving in record time. Drinks, starters and mains all done in 45 mins.
