We really enjoyed our evening at Dar's, an unassuming Tandoori restaurant just a few minutes walk from Hampstead Heath station. The staff here are friendly and will happily recommend dishes to your taste. They have a good range of vegetarian options available on the menu. I had the lobiya daal and my friend the karahi chicken, with naan, rice, and samosa to share. The portions are tasty, plentiful, and all reasonably priced. We'd also recommend the mango lassi. The restaurant is BYOB, and you can also order food to take away. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

The food was amazing, i had the chicken jalfrezi, biryani rice and paneer tikka👌🏻 also the staff was very nice!

I usually go for the lunch meal deals . I got a kebab roll with Nan bread , salad, chips and drink for just £8.50. Yummy

Decent Punjabi food and well-priced. The roghni naan, mango lassi and rice were perfectly prepared. My friend really enjoyed their grilled chicken. I ordered the bhuna gosht but wasn't quite satisfied with the portion size. The staff were accommodating and friendly! I would recommend going for a well-priced Punjabi meal in Hampstead

Dars Restaurant is one of my go-to places whenever I’m on duty. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, making it a great value. I will definitely keep coming back.One of the best authentic indian restaurant i’ve been to. Definitely worth a try.

The food was lovely, very fresh, very delicious. We ordered Bhuna Ghosht, paprika Chaat, Shindig Katahi, and Tarka Daal and Roti and Pilau Rice. I can recommend all of the dishes. 10 out of 10

We had the lamb (special) and grilled chicken. The chicken was amazingly moist and the onions tasty too. The lamb went well with pilau rice. Good service - friendly people and attentive.

It’s very delicious, especially the curry is different from what I’ve eaten in China before. It’s great with rice and pancakes. It feels like the best meal I’ve had in London for so long.

Unpretentious and delicious. Some of the best Indian food we’ve had in London. Ee love the fish karahi, the methi gosht, and the pilau rice. The people are very friendly and there seem to be many regulars.

Had a fantastic meal here today. Food came quickly. My vegetarian meal was tasty, well prepared (I tried the green lentil dahl and am so glad I did) my dad had the Lahore fish as a change from his usual choices and he said that was great too. Waiters were helpful and helped me pack a doggy bag. Would definitely recommend as a Hampstead gem of an establishment

Authentic flavors and outstanding service. First night in London visiting from the US and we found this little spot in Hampstead. Do not miss out based on the simplicity of the decor and small storefront. We are only in London for a few days and will make it a point to come back for another meal here before leaving the area!

WHERE TO START WITH THIS FILTHY, RANCID, OVERPRICED AND PUTRID DRIVE OF A "RESTAURANT"....SHAME ON THEM, ZERO STARS. 1. This is the WORST Indian/Pakistani meal I have ever had in my life - the projectile vomiting, diarrhoea and food poising are proof of that! 2. Do NOT TRUST the reviews of individuals here who have NO IDEA what real Indian/Pakistani food should be like as they are clearly clueless and have overrated the mess that passes of as food from this hideous place in their reviews on Google/TripAdvisor. 3. I trusted the reviews and paid a heavy price not only financially but vomiting all night....the smell of the vomit was odious because of the rancid and appalling lack of quality in the "food" served and the "meat" which is horrendous. 4. My constant and projectile vomiting and my friend who normally has a stomach nothing can impact had diarrhoea most of the night. I had nausea 15 times at least. 5. I made the mistake of throwing away a doggy back of that garbage they want to label as takeout food and my vomit as this should have gone to Environmental Health at Camden Council for testing and shutting this repulsive place DOWN. THEY HARM PEOPLE. 6. I have never seen "MEAT" like this in my life the chicken legs were the smallest on the planet if chicken and not rat, the minced lamb smelled like rotten cat food and the curries my friend ordered looked not only totally disgusting but these unqualified excuse of cooks only used a bit of curry powder to "flavour" that diarrhoea looking mess they served a curry. 7. I am actually worried if they are using pet food to cut down on that dodgy not fit for human/animal/any creature meat to profit?? This very thing happened at another dive in Green Street years ago near East Ham. 8. The service is no rate. 9. The drinks are extortionately overpriced. 10. The bill was close to three digits for "food" not fit for human or animal consumption. 11. If this dive was in East London and not Hampstead, believe me this place would have gone a long time ago due to the horrific muck they serve, the high price and everything else that is so wrong with THIS DUMP. DON'T GO. EVER..!!!

Dar's Tandoori & Grill is the best of the best, there's a great selection of food available but I highly recommend the tandoori lamb chops, overall this restaurant is a 10/10 Staff is friendly and the restaurant has a welcoming feel.

I ordered butter chicken and it wasn’t even that good. I don’t even think it was butter chicken, at least not the one I am used to. Not Creamy and expensive for the amount that you get. Also, it does not come with rice you have to pay extra for rice. Not worth it in my opinion.

We always come here for the grilled chicken, garlic naan, chicken curry and buttered chicken. It is by far the best we’ve ever had in London. Whether it’s dine in or take away.

Cold tasteless food overcooked and dry waiter had bad breath and even worse attitude will advise anyone thinking of going I'd say go elsewhere

Work locally, so pop in to Dars minimum once a week either eating in or taking away. The food is delicious and flavourful. Less to mention the friendly courteous staff. Definitely worth a try.

Excellent Indian food for a very reasonable price! The tandoori chicken had a nice smoky flavor and the Lamb Rogan Josh was nicely spiced with an authentic flavor. Naan came out hot and was excellent as well. Service was excellent and attentive. Interior is no frills but completely fine and the most important aspects (food and service) were excellent! Will definitely be back when I’m in the area. Highly recommended!

The food is amazing. One of the best chilli paneers I've had. I've visited a few times over the week for a takeaway as my mums in hospital across the road and it's been great each time. Mum loves it too!

A friend's birthday was held in the restaurant and they accommodated us well as we were a big group. Lovely atmosphere and amazing food, all orders came out fine and there were a few of us sharing so I got to try a few different dishes. All tasted amazing and good portions. If I could I'd eat more. The orange juice was really fresh so I ordered it twice.
