Delicious Food & Excellent Service We had a fantastic meal at this Indian restaurant. The lemon pilau rice was fragrant and paired perfectly with our mild chicken main courses, which were full of flavour without being too spicy. For dessert, we enjoyed two excellent sweets—one was ice cream topped with mango, while the other was an Indian twist on carrot cake, served with ice cream. Both were delicious and a great way to end the meal. The service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The staff made us feel right at home. Overall, it was a brilliant experience, and we’d definitely visit again!

Ordered 3 chicken steaks with chips, one without peppercorn sauce but they sent out all 3 with peppercorn sauce. When called them up, the staff member just laughed at the mistake and said it wasn’t her who prepared the order. Kids don’t eat peppercorn so having to cook at home for the kids!

Just come back from a family meal of 8. Amazing food, staff are really friendly and accommodating. They didn't mind us being noisy, laughing and joking, as we only get together occasionally. The food all came out at the same, piping hot. Rather than paying altogether they let us order separately to stop any confusion on who had what. Could not fault this place. I felt it was reasonably priced. If you go on a Monday you can have the set menu and change your starter or mains. I would highly recommend.

We went to Kahani this evening and the food was simply fantastic. The menu has options for everyone - for the vegan with a great eggplant masala and other options or for meat lovers with a lamb curry based on the old Edinburgh recipe... we enjoyed both very much. The service was very good and attentive and the atmosphere in the restaurant was great. If you want alcohol you have to bring your own. We would love to come back on our next visit to Edinburgh.

We arrived at 7.30 for a family meal. We waited for 1 1/2 hours for our dinner to arrive. When it did my husbands prawns were raw in the middle. We had ordered a round of drinks when we initially sat down, I have to drink non alcoholic drinks due to my medication requirements. We ordered a second round of drinks, the same again. When I had drunk half a glass of my ‘non alcoholic beer’ I was alarmed to read that the beer was actually alcoholic. Service was disorganised they were unable to cope with the demand. Mistakes like this must not happen. Thankfully there was no one with a nut allergy or seafood allergy. The lack of attention and care could be catastrophic.
