Cranham Tandoori in Havering

Had dinner here for my dad’s birthday in December and never again would I eat in there, restaurant was cold, service slow and it was empty! was like we were a problem being there, food very poor and not cheap!

7 of us for £35 very tasty food and great service

Lovely food, great big chunks of chicken and very reasonably priced. Khan and his team are friendly and look after you every visit.

Really nice food. We had dinner on Friday night. Family of 4. The kids enjoyed it too.

The actual curry itself was great, we ordered and picked up lamb bhuna and lamb pisanda alongside a pilau rice with a naan. The service was great when we picked up the curry as we was given the food fast. But our order arriving quickly could be the reason why the chips were completely stale and also the chicken nuggets were under par. After all, for a curry house chicken nuggets and chips do not sum up the overall quality of the food. We would highly recommend this place. 👍🏻

Went in there last night and was told it was closed about 9.30 then walked passed 10 minutes later and it looked open l went in and was told it was open by someone else. When l saw the waiter again who told me it was closed l asked him why he said that and he started shouting and he said to me you are trying to get me the sack very rude guy.

I have probably been to well over 100 Indian restaurants and this one is in my top 5. The overall quality and service is absolutely fabulous and I would strongly encourage you to try it for yourself!

Very disappointed in this restaurant. I ordered a Lamb Madras curry over the phone and was given a wrong order. I tried to explain they had made a mistake instead, I was told its my problem! Very disappointed as I have now wasted money on a meal I cannot eat. Poor customer service as there was no offer to correct their mistake

Picked up a take away on Saturday night, the food was very tasty & hot. Will be back.

Went early Saturday evening. Recieved a warm and friendly welcome. The place was packed out at 6pm. Food was excellant and the staff friendly and really went the extra mile to make it an excellant experience.

Visited last night with my Mum. We were both really impressed with the quality of the curries - a chicken pathia and a prawn dhansak. Service was friendly and professional and the dinner was very good value. Would definitely recommend.

Cranham Tandoori is by far in my opinion, the best place for an Indian meal in the area. The food is great, reasonably priced. I don’t like when you get Indian dishes that have a film of oil or are swimming in grease. This is never the case at Cranham Tandoori, food is fantastic and the staff are brilliant. Friendly, welcoming. A must visit

The food was not cooked properly. The meat needed to be replaced. Replaced food also was not good. The plates were dirty and needed to be replaced.

Very good food. Excellent selection with some Iranian curries also available. Service is always quick and friendly. There is limited parking available to the front of the restaurant. This is always my regular curry house when staying in Upminster. Prices are also very reasonable as well. 5 stars.

First time having used this restaurant, well absolutely delicious just had a takeaway of chicken korma, chicken dopiaza,mushroom rice, pilaf rice,special garlic vegetables, hot and soo good, Im a fussy old bat and i loved it!

I was in the market for a new Indian restaurant and this one was recommended to me. I ordered the meal for two for away. It was amazing! Sooo fresh and tasty, clearly lots of effort went into preparing our food. The delivery was quick and the portions were massive! It was so good that I even bugged my family WhatsApp group to tell them all about how great this place is!!! Recommend!!!

Me and my partner dine in here regularly the food is always top notch, and the staff are incredibly friendly and polite. Its the best curry house for price and quality in Essex I strongly recommend the Balti CTM. Will definitely be returning in the future for a pint and peshwari.

Really lovely food, although the korma was over sweet for our son, the waiter quickly rectified this and brought out a less sweet sauce. Dishes were really lovely and the staff equally lovely! Will definitely visit here again!

I live local to Cranham tandoori and the food is amazing .i have a Indian at least once a week . Tonight is the night for mine and my partners treat and I can’t wait.

I am a frequent visitor here but last time their food was certainly lacking but I am pleased to say that they have certainly upped their game

I live locally and don't need to go further to find a good indian restaurant. Tasty dishes, friendly lot with good service. They also do delivery for when you are feeling a bit lazy, happens to me a bit.

I’m assuming the restaurant has been taken over... this has been our favourite indian for the last 10 years, haven’t been in a while so was really looking forward to going. None of the old staff were there, we had to wait half hour for a drinks order to be taken (restaurant wasn’t even that busy), wine was awful, several food items were missed off of our order - half of our table had finished by the time the rest had arrived. The new staff wernt very attentive... no back ground music... just wasn’t the same :( Iv given three stars as the food (when it arrived) was lovely and good value...

Last time I eat here was in March and in my review "I stated that the food was always to a high standard let it continue" Sadly on this occasion it was not to their usual standard. Whether they have changed the chef or he was under pressure or just having a bad night. If this had been the first time that I had frequented this establishment I would not come again.

Absolutely amazing experience. The food was stunning and the service is fantastic. You're made to feel very welcome and are looked after by the very friendly waiters. Always busy and not just weekends. I would highly recommend giving this restaurant a go if you're a curry lover.

12 of us visited here for a Friday night birthday celebration. Understand that the management has recently changed. Nice welcome. Drinks and food orders taken quickly. The usual poppadoms and sauces arrived. Very nice. We asked if the bill could be broken down 3 ways. Not a problem. The meals came up 4 at a time which wasnt a problem. Most of us had different mains plus the usual sides and breads. All hot and tasty. Friendly staff who had a laugh with us and this added to the night. Good value for money. Would definitely return.

Had a takeaway for the restaurant and this was a good quality meal. The restaurant has changed hands a short while ago.

only recently visited this restaurant last week and was so impressed that went again this evening, the food is amazing and have to say the chicken has got to be the best I have had in all my time of eating indian food which is over 35 years or more

I visited this restaurant on Friday 9/8/19 with my daughter, sister and niece. We all had a great evening. The service was exceptional, and we were made to feel valued customers, even though this was our first visit. The food was good and served promptly. Will definitely return.

Just took the family in for the 1st time. Staff were lovely and had a good laugh, spoilt my Grandaughter and bantered about the football, Food was absolutely lovely and when more of us they moved us to a bigger table with no fuss and brought all our food together. Everyone couldn't do enough for us and it was very much appreciated. Been a while since we can say we had amazing food and amazing service. Will be our new local without a doubt

I too was recommended here by the Maa Eyecare, they weren't wrong, a lovely atmosphere, staff who serve with a smile. Sean is absolutely fabulous, he arranged for a dish to be made for me off menu and it was amazing. This is definitely the best Indian in Upminster and what makes it even better is the staff. Great food, great choice of drinks - excellent staff. Thank you for making our anniversary meal so special.

Shocking! Teenager in a tracksuit serves us spiced cat food whilst senior waiter smoked outside.

Goan green curry was so tasteless and unappetizing it was unreal. I was first put off by a worm looking creature that I found in my popadom packet so much so that I had to close my eyes to eat the rest. Just bland... as anything however the tandoori restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. But dear lord I feel so sorry for the people that use this place regularly... they need to venture out and try real curry.Mr Curry.

Friendly helpful staff. If you are new to Indian food tell your server, he will be pleased to help you select something that is not too spicy. Reasonable prices. Vegetarian options, nothing is too much trouble for them.

Would thoroughly recommend Cranham Tandoori. The staff give a warm welcome and we were well looked after from arriving to leaving. Lovely atmosphere and the other clientele are also very friendly! One of the nicest Indian meals I've had. Also the best value Indian meal I've had!
