Madhu's Brasserie, Richmond in Richmond upon Thames

The service and hospitality we received at Madhu's was incredible. The waitress recommended some amazing dishes that we all loved. They threw in an extra lamb chop just so we'd all have one each, which was so thoughtful. The most important part, is that the food was so incredible. I have eaten at a LOT of Indian restaurants, and even Dishoom has nothing on Madhu's when it comes to flavours. Every single dish we ordered was a distinctly different flavour, and so well cooked. No single dish disappointed us, and we were raving about the meal weeks later! I highly recommend the Palak Patta chaat, the garlic prawns, lamb chops and the butter chicken! Stop thinking and book a table, they even do 20% discount on certain days - you won't be disappointed!

I recently dined at Mahdu’s Brasserie, and it was a surprisingly nice experience! The food here is better than many Indian restaurants in central London—rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The Thali was a standout, offering a fantastic mix of dishes that gave me a perfect taste of the menu’s variety. The Indian Robata was cooked to perfection, with grilled meats and vegetables that were smoky and tender. A must-try is the Boozi Bafu, a unique dish that brought bold, exciting flavors to the table. It’s unlike anything I’ve had before! Their wine menu was also a pleasant surprise—well-curated and perfectly paired with the food, elevating the entire meal. From the authentic and delicious food to the warm atmosphere and top-notch service, Mahdu’s Brasserie is a true gem and an absolute must-visit for anyone seeking an elevated Indian dining experience!

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Food was amazing, service was attentive but not intrusive, Rida (our server) was friendly and gave great recommendations. They accommodated our party’s nut allergy without issue.

Had a delicious intimate dinner on a Wednesday night and was pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious authentic and tasty without being too calorific. Will definitely go again

Awesome place! First time visiting here and was impressed with the food, quality and flavours. The staff are professional courteous yet friendly and all in all a lovely ambience for whatever the occasion.

We had a great work meal here. The service by Sandon and Team was excellent. They looked after us really well. Sandon ensured the drinks were always topped up and replaced swiftly. The food was immaculate, we almost had every dish ordered atleast once including the platters and we will do our Christmas do here! We really enjoyed it! Thank you Sandon and Team

For the main course, we chose Veg and Non  Veg Thali , all items were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The dessert, was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal. What stood out the most was the attention to detail in every aspect, from the presentation of the food to the impeccable service by Muskan.

We had the best experience yesterday for a post civil wedding lunch! Sandon was particularly helpful and easy going in the planning of the lunch and made it very easy for us. The food and service on the day was flawless! All the guests and myself thoroughly enjoyed the starters so much that by the time mains started we were already full as the starters were amazing, especially the palak patta chaat, malai broccoli and chilli paneer. The spice level and flavour of the food was perfect and I will definitely be coming back very soon!

I took some friends out for a night out on evening of March 23rd. The food was good, the portions small, and the Kulfi desert was hard and had not rested and come to room temperature, so when I wen to cut it, part of it went on the floor. The ambience is good, however, my sincere disappointment is that I did not get the 20% discount applied as promised and I have had to make several phone calls to claim this money back. The monied owed is around £34 and I have been give an array of reasons why this has not been returned and to be honest I have given up on the refund and not be going back in a hurry.

Madhu's is a charming spot that offered us a delightful dining experience. We're glad we chose it over a more distant option. The staff were exceptionally polite and friendly, with Muskaan providing outstanding service. The food quality was excellent. I highly recommend trying the Spinach Patta Chat—it's a must! If you find yourself in Richmond, this eatery is well worth a visit.

We had a lovely anniversary dinner at Madhus. The service was great, the food was delicious and had the perfect portions. My husband doesn’t normally enjoy veg food but he loved the veg sharing platter that we ordered and the other dishes. The dessert was amazing! I was full but I didn’t want to stop eating that! :) the mocktails were yummy too, thank you for the recommendation. Thank you for bringing out a cake and candle for our wedding anniversary and wishing us happy anniversary too. This was so very kind of you. Lovely lovely staff and lovely service overall!!! Amazing, tasty food. We will hopefully be back when we are next in Richmond!

The best chicken biryani ever tasted in London !!

My new go to for the best Indian food ever! Not only delicious, but beautifully presented with a lovely ambience. Staff were attentive and Sandy aimed to please with a top class service. I really missed Madhus in Southall, so pleased this is closer. Parking after 6:30pm is pretty good too

It is rare for me to go out for indian food, however this fabulous restaurant catered to all my needs. The garlic prawns were just amazing and the chaat the best i have ever had. I will definitely be returning. The flavours are on fire and the authenticity is second to none, along with very attentive staff especially Sandy. On top of this you can also treat yourself to delicious cocktails-All in one place.

As always, the food was amazing and I always choose this restaurant to take different groups of my friends as I always know it will never disappoint🤩 The ambience and the staff were amazing as always and the manager Sandy always goes beyond to look after all the guests… I highly recommend anyone who likes Indian food to definitely try this fine authentic food, so yummy 😋

Lovely dinner at Madhu’s. Delicious mocktail to start things off and excellent non-veg thali for our mains. The dal and chicken tikka in particular stood out, and the freshness of the salad was a good balance to the richness. Wish we’d had room for dessert! Will be back.

Best food quality and great customer service by tanu

We visited Madhu's Richmond on mother's day and thoroughly enjoyed our evening there. Warm, welcoming, courteous staff, lovely ambience and mouth watering food. We had Palak Patti chat, chilli garlic prawns, veg thali, kadhai lamb, garlic naan and gajjar ka (carrot) halwa. Special thanks to chef Mohit Hora, Mustafah and chef's team for the lovely food, Sandon and Tannu for looking after us so very well despite the restaurant been so very busy. A must try in Richmond, highly recommend it to all the foodies who prefer authentic Indian food.

Possibly one of the best Indian Restaurants i’ve eaten at. The food was phenomenal. The flavour was amazing whilst the food itself perfectly cooked. It’s a fairly small menu, but this is a good thing as they clearly get to focus on the quality of what they are serving. They were able to cater for my gluten intolerance no problem and the menu is labelled really clear for dietary purposes which makes dining so much nicer. The decor was lovely, modern but romantic. The service was attentive but not intrusive. My only request is for a GF popadom option (but that’s because I love popadoms). Slightly out the way of the main high street but highly recommend this and will certainly be back.

I was at Madhu's in Richmond last Sunday and I must say that I had an amazing experience. The food was outstanding. Staff are very friendly.

The food is delicious! Some dishes especially the fusion with Indian and Kenyan cuisine are quite spicy so check with the team if they can temper the heat down if you can’t handle your spice . Being a new place it was quiet but hopefully people will discover this hidden gem soon. Big shout out to manager Sandon and Zain for looking after the diners well

We loved everything about Madhu’s, best Indian food in Richmond. Our hostess Muskan was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Our only regret was the dining area was a little too warm and the heating could be turned down a little for guest comfort.

Amazing authentic food, with a great atmosphere in the restaurant

We came here for dinner on a Tuesday night. Ambience and decor was great. Service was fantastic. The place is in Richmond but about 10 minutes from the station. We got the chaat and chilli paneer to start which were fantastic, no complaints. Poppadums and chutney was also great. We got the non-veg Thali’s which were also fantastic- we loved the chicken tikka and chicken curry. Great flavour and I would recommend. Our total bill was around £85 which was on the pricey side.

Without a doubt, the best curry I have ever had. Staff were very friendly and attentive and catered to my boyfriend’s nut allergy. The food is delicious and not greasy at all. We’ve returned a few times and ordered take away!

We went last night as a group of six and had a great time. The portions weren’t the biggest but every one was distinctive in flavour and character, and all delicious. I was really impressed, just surprised it wasn’t busier. It’s not the place for a cheap blow-out, it’s much better than that. Use it or lose it.

I took advantage of their 25% introductory offer on deliveroo - the food was fantastic, up there as one of the best curries in the area. We’ll definitely be eating in the restaurant.

Had dinner with family at this place today and it was AMAZING. Food is very tasty and full of flavours. Service is amazing too. We have been served by Muskan and she was very friendly, passionate and helpful when we had questions about the menu - which complimented and enhanced the amazing dining experience. Other staff are very friendly and professional too. We live locally and I can say this is one of the best restaurants in Richmond, perfect for occasions or just friends or family get-togethers. I had walked past the restaurant and hour earlier on the way to my friends and Rig the Manager had come out to chat with me as I was looking at the menu. I was pleased to tell him we'd already booked for later :) So nice to give my friend a pretty birthday desert. We will definitely be back.

This was my 1st visit to Richmond Madhu's restaurant although i have visited the other sites and found this place be very cosy and relaxing. The food was really flavoursome and authentic, the vegetarian options were fewer than at the heathrow / central london restaurants but they made up for it with the ambience and attention to detail. So happy to finally have a Madhu's within close reach and would like to thank Muskaan and Flynn for their excellent service. Thank you and I will visit again..

Visited Madhu’s for dinner, following it reopening after a fairly lengthy closure (had not visited previously). Was very pleasantly surprised - the prices are much more amenable than when first open, the food was delicious and the staff could not have been more pleasant. A really nice local restaurant to have in the neighbourhood; will certainly be back. Has a nice relaxed brasserie atmosphere and some slightly different dishes to a ‘standard’ local Indian. Thumbs up for Madhu’s.

I went to have diner at madhu’s and I must say I had an amazing experience. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff is friendly and offered a great service. The menu choices they have are really good and the food is delicious. I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it!

Had a dinner at Mahdu Brasserie in Richmond on a voucher which Was donated to the Victoria foundation charity ball. The venue was empty apart from employees and owner/owners friends. The food was good, and the service staff were friendly. When it came time to pay, the owners refused to accept the voucher saying that we could have printed it off the internet ourselves. The glasses smelt of bleach and the room smelt like it had drainage problems being masked by the constant spray of febreeze. It is a shame that a business like this would offer vouchers to a charity event, and when bid on and claimed the owners act in distaste and rescind their offer.

We had a walk from our job and recognised that we never been at new place near our home in Richmond! So we divide to try Indian kitchen and was really enjoying! The place are new, clean, very cosy. People who are working there very friendly and helpful they help us to chose the food right, made some recommendation that really helps cause actually it was my first visit of Indian restaurant but I really enjoyed. So here some photos of our food I can say they serve it very professional, all looks beautiful and taste as well. Food really very spicy so if you not a fan or like middle spice I recommend you to ask waitress to make it less spicy cause I usually not eat spicy food so for me I feel fire, but anyway we not finish cause we already been full, and we took at home and eat the meat with a rice and it was very interesting taste. because it was almost 10 days ago probably I delete it. And thank you owners who open this place, happy that in Richmond open new places and to people who work there for the atmosphere! I live close to this restaurant and was offered some of their food for free as a promotion. It was a vegetable plate that normally cost £27 and consisted of a old rice and wrap, little pieces of vegetables filled with sauces and overdone with condiments. I received the offer a couple of days ago and since then I got a terrible stomach pain. Many thanks for that!

Aside from the fact that there are tooooo many men hanging around the restaurant and the prices are SKY HIGH even by Richmond standards - the food is delicious! I would happily stick my head in a bowl of butter chicken!

Every Madhu’s is as good as the original This one has a small compact menu and a very cool and chill bar like atmosphere Food is as good or better than Southall.
