A great traditional Indian restaurant with a very varied menu, lovely welcoming team and a convivial atmosphere. We had a family dinner here and the food was really delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Old school Indian restaurant with a fantastic choice of food at so reasonable prices. And the lamb is so soft . I was told this by a friend of mine Debbie and Andy who also go their. Well worth a shot

Amazing food, atmosphere and friendly staff!

I’m writing this review because it’s important to support local businesses that you want to survive and prosper. I live in Kingston Upon Thames and have been going to Sacqui for years. In fact for a family that’s fortunate to eat out 1-2 times a month I’ve tried out a number of the local restaurants but the one we return to the most is Saqui ! Why ? The food is delicious, it’s well priced and the service is friendly.

Had a takeaway and we enjoyed it. Good enough portion sizes, affordable.

Exellent India cuisine in this area. Tasty food and services. We ordered the crispes, mutton curry, butter chicken, and naans. So fresh and delicious. Best thing is very budget. £15~20 per head. Highly recommended.

Seriously the best indian cuisine you will ever encounter - we have been going there for years (every visit to the UK) and went there again this January. The food was better than ever and we enjoyed every moment of it. Service was very friendly and didnt rush us along in the slightest (even if they already closed :)) We will be back on our next UK visit ❤️

Was there for a school trip with staff and learners. They made feel very welcome, excellent service, lovely tasting food and will definitely recommend orders to go eat here.

The food was definitely not worth the money. Before we ordered, I calculated the price of the food we would order and over the phone, they charged more than expected. For more than £40, we received tiny portions: the almost £4 rice was enough for a one and a half servings; the paneer “tikka” was sad and flavourless, sitting sadly in a small tray; and the £8.10 lamb Nariyal Pani was basically little lamb pieces drowning in a mid curry. They offered no receipt with the delivery, which was a problem because we ordered three rice potions, but we were given two and charged for three, although they insisted that we ordered two.

Our favourite local curry house out of the several options to choose from in the area. Food is always good quality, service is always friendly and it's always an enjoyable experience whether dining in or taking away.

Have been coming here for 25 years : food and welcome are consistently excellent. The shashliks, the thali and the salmon tikka are particularly good, but I've eaten my way round the menu over the years, and it's all good.

I've been to this restaurant many times and have had good food and service. Tonight we ordered a take away and was told to come and collect.in half hour. An hour later it arrived took it home . Onion bhajis were minging, nan bread cold and soggy and the overall meal wasn't hot and very disappointing after been there . Maybe anyone else can comment?

Had my first takeaway from Saqui today. Loved it. Probably best Indian takeaway I’ve had, and it arrived very quickly. Can’t wait to use them again.

Delicious food and delivery on time .

This is an excellent, inexpensive and relatively hidden, local Indian restaurant. The food is authentic and tasty, the staff are attentive and for a local Indian restaurant it is nicely situated, traditional in design and is generally quite busy.

I wanted to find a place that did Thali. This was a perfect take away with friends during the present lockdown. We all had a delicious selection of dishes in their own containers (so no sharing needed) the restaurant is a bit far from my house but I will definitely make the effort to eat from here even after lockdown has finished. Just had a takeaway, delicious and amazing value.

Asked for poppadoms and if chutneys came with them. Told part of price. Charged for chutneys in the bill. Balti had no flavour whatsoever. Like a stew. One of the worst i have ever had. Short changed when i paid the bill in cash

I had been told they are closing so we sadly booked out last annual get together with friends. All of us really happy to hear it had a new owner but same staff and chefs who want nothing to change and have a friendly reception. Great local restaurant if you are in the area. Looking forward to going back in 2020 and beyond......

The most delicious Chicken Korma I have ever had. The chicken pieces were succulent and the sauce was amazing. Perfect naan bread.

Had a takeaway this evening ... chicken tikka masala was just like chicken in a curry sauce .. chicken Jalfrazi was like it was cooked in the same sauce and my chicken tikka main consisted of 5 tiny pieces ... not impressed at all and the Chappatis were like raw dough

Went on a busy Saturday. Not a large place, and the place was packed - a good sign. Staff are very friendly, particularly Faris the owner. Both the Chicken Dansak and Chicken Kali Mirch were really really good. Prices are reasonable, particularly for Surrey. Will be a regular here from now on

Very good food, and very friendly staff. Great service. We had the chicken Tikka masala and chicken korma. Both were delicious. We also got nan and garlic nan. If you're unfamiliar with how they do lemonade, it comes out clear, not yellow. We thought we had gotten the wrong drink at first. Anyway, atmosphere is great here, and I'd happily come back. If you're looking for good Indian food, give Saqui a try!

Food was very satisfying.. There was a Vallette but the food definitely made up for it The Thali is undoubtedly one of the best I've seen for taste and cost alike Biryani lacked presentation but again taste was one of the upper tiers I've ever eaten Lately I've found veg dishes are the most flavoursome..

I can't understand why this place got a negative review. The food is excellent, they'll prepare off menu dishes on request if possible and the staff couldn't be more polite. I visit at least once a month. I do try other places in the area but keep coming back because I know I'll always get a delicious meal and a good dining experience.

I wasn't expecting much and they did manage to lose our booking but we were accommodated with good grace despite being busy on Christmas Eve. The food however was superb and well served. Highly recommended.

Just ordered a takeaway - Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Jalfrezi and sides. Both arrived swimming in oil- son ate the Masala but I called and asked for a replacement Jalfrezi. Both times food arrived too quickly to be freshly cooked and had to return the Jalfrezi again. Asked to be credited back for my food and a rice and naan bread as now had nothing to eat it with - Apparently I now need to go in with my card as they can't action over the phone. Will not be ordering food from here again - awful

Absolutely awful - Oily and inedible takeaway that was sent back twice, Now can't get money back on card without going to the store - outrageous as they were able to take card details over the phone. Will not be ordering from here again

Very good meal, with attentive service

What a surprise -- rather unassuming front but a lovely traditional Indian restaurant with excellent, attentive service and very good food. Seemed very popular and I was glad we reserved a table. We'll be back!

Wonderful Indian food. The waiters were very nice, although it was 27 degrees inside. Remember to turn the air-conditioning on;)

It's a regular place for a quick curry. It's friendly. Parking easy. Standard curry menu with the staples done well. Reasonable drinks too. Fair price.

This is my new favourite curry house. The meat is tender and well cooked in the sauce, lots of flavour all the way through. The service can't be faulted, even on a busy night and the staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Saqui is better than any Indian restaurant I've tried in Hounslow and I've eaten in most of them over the years.

We've been using this restaurant for years and years and can't fault it. Delicious curries every time.

I have lived near the Saqui for many years. The food is always excellent whether take away or eat in. The service is attentive and prices are competitive. When eating in the atmosphere is convivial.

My partner and I regularly visit The Saqui and have been extremely happy every time. I am a vegan and my partner isn't but the food here can keep us equally happy. The staff are almost like family now and the owner Peter ensures amazing customer service. He will bend over backwards to ensure your meal is to a standard he and you are happy with. Our family has been coming since it opened in 1982 and will continue to visit for the foreseeable future.

Always a good meal here. We go about twice a month. Everyone is very friendly and the food us excellent and great value for money. This family owned restaurant has been here for over 35 years.

La comida era de muy buena calidad, sana, fresca, carne seca buena (no como en muchos lugares) sin necesidad de sobrecargar las especias puede tener cosas de la forma que usted desee si quieres un buen plato picante. El propietario es un hombre divertido y cálido con una verdadera atención a sus clientes. Mi papá estado yendo regularmente por más de 30 años, que es el mejor recomendaciones que podía conseguir. Lovely atmosphere, always. It's at weekend so book ahead. Food is consistently good. Dahl amazing as is jahlfrezi.

My local Indian restaurant - we never go anywhere else for Indian food now - and I've tried a lot! Staff are so friendly whether it's your first visit or 100th and the menu is great, as are the prices, with discount for takeaway.

First time eating at this restaurant in over 20 years of living in the local area. We were not disappointed. Delicious food, courteous service and very relaxed atmosphere. A real gem. Will definitely be back soon.

So yummy! Tandoori chicken and lamb buka is the bomb

Ham Parade is an easily overlooked little parade on the main road between Richmond and Kingston, but locals love this restaurant, as it has a very interesting menu in a cosy and friendly environment. Dinner at Saqui does not not hit your wallet, and all the dishes are very fairly priced.Our dinner last Friday, including starters, mains and beer, with coffee to follow and service cost us £20 per head.

4/12/16 Went out for a family meal for 5 found a hair in the food which can happen anywhere. But the manager was like a pig and was very rude. He had a bad attitude from the word go, I would recommend not coming to this restaurant. There attitude to the customers was a joke👎.

The Saqui Tandoori is a fantastic restaurant residing in Kingston. The restaurant seemed newly refurbished, and upon entering we were greeted warmly by the staff present. The restaurant seemed clean and well maintained, and the food was delicious. I especially recommend the tandoori chicken.

I met here with a couple of friends for a catch up and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and food. On the outside Saqui looks like a traditional high street restaurant. However, upon entering we were pleasantly surprised by the atmospheric lighting and beautiful decor.The waiter was friendly and efficient showing us quickly to our table. The seats were very comfortable and the table was presented well.Our waiter continued with excellent service throughout the night.The food looked amazing and tasted equally as good, coming out sizzling and full of flavor. To top it all off the restaurant is a local success being under the same management for 30 years! Which just adds sincerity to the whole experience.Overall it was flawless with delicious food and great staff combined with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The perfect combination for a great meal.

My family took me to Saqui Restaurant for my birthday recently.We had made a booking (and just as well). Why?Because the quality of food, service and pricing is just right!Highly Highly Recommended!

Stayed with friends at the weekend who are regulars at this restaurant but we were too tired to go out, so a take await was and it did not disappoint. Lovely melt in your mouth lamb sagwala...simply delicious.

I live in Portsmouth but was visiting family and this curry was nothing like one from home although there was nothing wrong with it I didn't like it I guess it's not what I'm used to

Nice restaurant with excellent service and good Indian food. We enjoyed between 5 of us 5 different dishes and shared with white rice and Indian bread. A very nice restaurant with good food.

My friend and I have dined here several times before but have never really been made to feel welcome, but the food is decent, its local and the service adequate.Last night, though, it seemed to become far more personal. To start with, the wrong wine was brought out. Not a massive issue in the grand scheme of things, but it was an indication of things to come when an angry, surly manager came over and angrily said, "Is this the right wine?" before filling our glasses and forgetting to apologise for the shortcomings of his staff.It then took an inordinate amount of time to order. Then, when our main course came out, dishes were missing and took around 10 minutes to sort. Again, zero apology.Finally, we wanted to get out of the place - it was a thoroughly miserable experience. After a lengthy delay, the manager brought the bill. He didn't seem to take kindly to me calmly going through the things that went wrong and had the temerity to say he did say sorry. A shame that a local restaurant treats its local customers so badly. Simply holding your hands up to mistakes and a decent level of service goes a long way. We'll go a long way to avoiding Saqui in future.

Visited with family. Very friendly staff, but this is not really authentic Indian food. The restaurant is also quite stuffy on a warm day
