Fantastic night out, with brilliant food and excellent service. Everything was perfect and it is wednesday so it is banquet night (as is Thursdays) which was a very good deal. We were not asked to review but we left so satisfied so thought I must share our experience. We usually get lovely take aways from here and eating in was even better.

Emon did an incredible job serving us this evening. His attentiveness was second to none, some of the best service I have had.

Absolutely fantastic , the service great and the waiter Emon was just perfect with great hospitality.My family went there on Friday and we were impressed. The restaurant was cleaned and the aroma was fantastic and making craving for more.The prices were exceptionally low surprisingly for the service, they gave free chocolate and he offered some complementary drinks just a wow.Would definitely recommend. .

I recently had the pleasure of dining at **Taste of Raj**, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Now, let's talk about the food. **Absolutely amazing!** Every dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented.After we ate our meal we were presented complimentary mint chocolate and drinks. Overall, **Taste of Raj** offers a memorable dining experience with fantastic food and exceptional service. Thanks to Emon for making the night even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

I have been to Taste of Raj a long time ago and eaten in the restaurant and it was very good food and service. But I had a take away and it was the worst curry i have ever had!There was almost no meat and the sauce could have been tomato ketchup! It’s disgusting that the restaurant would make food of such a bad quality and deliver it as a takeaway!I doubt I will visit again!

Terrible food wrong food given and 2 beer cans as an insult how rude didn’t receive a full refund the rice wasn’t cooked and the keema naan the food was cold and the raita was wrong they gave me a green one. I will never be ordering again horrible customer service. Probably the worst order imaginable

Upon entering this restaurant, a damp, moldy smell was immediately noticeable, which affected the ambiance. Although the service was good, the freshness of items like the mint chutney and salad was lacking. Despite labeling itself as an Indian restaurant, the food does not reflect authentic Indian cuisine. As someone familiar with true Indian flavors, I noticed that many dishes seemed to rely on a one type of curry paste, resulting in a bland, one-dimensional taste. Indian food is celebrated for its complex layers of flavor—not simply hot and spicy and that depth was missing here. If the owners are looking to improve, I’d recommend visiting authentic Indian establishments, like Cha Chaz in Feltham or Flavours of India in Hounslow East, to experience genuine Indian cuisine. Un viernes por la noche fue muy decepcionante tener arroz recalentado, arenoso e insípido, chuletas de cordero llegando a un plato chispeante al menos cinco minutos antes de que llegaran los platos (entonces se les dijo que esto es normal) , reclinado en una cama de cebollas hervidas recalentadas, jalfrezi servido en un cuenco de sopa y cobrando £ 1 por el encurtido de lima que pedimos para jazzear los poppadoms empapados. Además de que se nos hizo esperar para pagar la cuenta debido a que los conductores que se llevan tienen preferencia, nuestra mala decisión de dar a este restaurante una tercera oportunidad para redimirse fue nuestra propia culpa. Sin embargo, creo que finalmente hemos aprendido el error de nuestras maneras. No puedo desaconsejar lo suficiente.

I live in Manchester and am currently working in London 2 days a week and ordered a takeaway last week which was delivered to the Cabbage Patch pub in Twickenham. I have eaten in nearly all the restaurants in Rusholme Manchester commonly known as the “Curry Mile” and I have never had a better Lamb Jalfezi in any restaurant there which was as good as the one The Taste of Rag delivered last week and the garlic bread and starter were also excellent.

Delivery came on time, the food didn’t taste like it had before, no spice and too fruity. The poppadoms were stale, we couldn’t eat them and called the restaurant 2 times over 2 days, left a voicemail each time but no return call. Poor service, listen to your customers.

The service provided by the young Bangladeshi man was 10/10. he deserves all the good credit.

This is the eat-in to have. Food is always nice. Fresh and a lot of flavour. Always arrives hot and fast. You can call up and ask any questions about new dishes that you would like to try. They will always do there best to explain what it is and what it has in it. The people who work there are super friendly very polite nothing to much for them.

Absolutamente increíble! El lugar es precioso y el personal es muy amable y la comida... ..maldita sea la comida es deliciosa y auténtica. La comida era deliciosa y sabía aún mejor. Todo sobre este restaurante era increíble. Taste of Raj es uno de los mejores restaurantes que he probado en Twickenham hasta ahora. Normalmente no dejo comentarios, pero me siento compelido ya que la comida era absolutamente exquisita. Honestamente un 11 / 10. Sin duda recomendaría este lugar.

Unbelievable service from the friendly staff and fantastic tasty food, very well priced especially for the area and we can’t wait to return next time we’re in the area.

Was really bad service there was a hair in the rice...The plates were dirty & the waiter just cleaned the plate with a napkin & I said I would not eat of this plate....food was cold and curry was sweet would never go again nor I would not recommend

Service and atmosphere were great and location was a little spot near the green. We got the poppadums which were lovely- chutney were interesting but could have had more flavour. We got lamb chops, sheekh kebab and pani puri to start which were good but just needed more flavour and a sauce. We got the butter chicken and lamb korai for mains which were both good- I enjoyed how sweet the butter chicken was. We got garlic naan and rice which were both great accompaniments. We booked through the Fork and our bill was around £35 which is very good value.

A potentially bad experience turned great! There was a slight issue with my order after ordering online, but the owner was quick to offer a resolution when I collected my food. A great family run restaurant that has been in service for the community for many years. Thank you Taste of Raj! It is all love!

Super clean new place. Best chicken Dumpling in town. Dragon pawn sushi was also very tasty. Even the brownie which is surprisingly very good also. Have to come back again. Thank you guys 🤩

We've lived in the area for a year and a half and we've tried at least 6 different curry places trying to find a good one with no luck. Came here for the banqueting night, the food was fantastic and the service was absolutely top tier. They kept our water topped up without us needing to ask, and they were super accommodating. When I asked for the vindaloo extra hot they actually made it as hot as they could! Finally found our new regular spot!

This is my all time favorite Indian Restaurant in Twickenham..I have used it for more that twenty years and apart form the wonderful view of Twickenham Green the staff are friendly, efficient and mostly family..The food is consistently of a high standard..fresh and plentiful even when the restaurant is quiet..perhaps that is because many people use it for take aways too.. I Really love this local family run restaurant and have enjoyed fabulous food and service for over 20 years. The food is always freshly cooked, interesting and a consistently high standard with good portion sizes for the hungry. Staff are friendly and helpful.I feel so lucky to have this restaurant so close to my home and with the added bonus of watching the seasons change on Twickenham Green .. over a very good curry.

Just came back from a lavish £11.99 Sunday Buffet with some friends from the local church! Amazing food as always.All freshly cooked and plentiful. Particularly noteworthy were the chicken and pakora starters and the lamb and saag aloo curries. The best in London! As for the chutneys - all freshly made, they were soo tasty a few of us asked for a take away of them. The service was impeccable. Emon is the perfect host and makes the experience even more delightful. We all (14 of us) left feeling very full and content and planning our next outing there. If you’ve not been there yet, trust me, you just have to go!!! Thank you so much Taste of Raj.

The Taste of Raj was recommended – I used to live close by and it seemed a good idea for a family meet from different locations. It certainly lived up to the recommendation! The food and service was very good. We all agreed it was an ‘old school’ Indian restaurant – small, booths, no fancy nouvelle cuisine stuff, owner serving the food and tasty dishes, good value, too at under £27 per head (no alcohol, though as we’d spent an hour in the Prince Blucher beforehand!). Just like the places we went to when we first started the family Indian meal out idea. Worth a trip to go and we’ll do it again

Excellent service, fantastic food and the draught Cobra was superb. I booked this restaurant on *The Fork* app to celebrate a birthday curry with 2 of my besties and it was class.

I took my elderly disabled Dad out for an early evening meal this evening, as I live 75 miles away and have not lived in the area for 20yrs I was totally out of touch with good places to eat. I visit Dad often and he used to love a good curry, well, we couldn't have asked for a better meal, Dad doesn't walk far or eat much and they catered for him no question, Emon, thank you for your hospitality and being so kind, food honestly was superb, we will be back

The only reason for 1 star is my son and I waited over an hr for delivery it was just down the road I had to phone restaurant to ask where it was and if it wasn't hot it was going back lucky it was but still annoyed at long wait

Taste of Raj Taste of crap!!! Absolutely bloody awful food Cold, bland and tasteless. Staff were rude, arrogant and Very unfriendly. Plates dirty, cutlery un clean. And the toilets...OMG I've eaten in thousands of restaurants over the years. This is the worst of the worst. Close it down!!!

Superb experience yesterday at Taste of Raj. Eamon was first class and the food was nothing of short of amazing. We had the banqueting menu and it was very tasty with amazing sized portions and the food just kept coming. Been to pretty much all the Indian restaurants in Twickenham and this is the best by far. Don’t just take my word for it - try it!

Last time I order here I ordered the set menu 1 I asked if I could swap the chicken takki for the butter chicken they said yes with no extra charge when i got my order there was no butter chicken and the rest of the meal was horrible I wont be ordering from here anymore

We wandered in here pretty late attempting to grab a few beers. The chap was friendly and welcoming so we had a seat. Then decided we could probably all do a curry. He said the kitchen was still open so we had the works. Enjoyable food. Good variation of curries. He also let us play Depeche Mode thru their sound system all night as we'd just come from the DM gig. A great night was had by all.
