Razias in North Lanarkshire

My cousin and I went here whilst on a comedy night in the town hall in Airdrie for her birthday. I kind of don't want to tell anyone about it cos it's an absolute jewel! We ordered from the pre-theatre menu. It's hard to find many restaurants anywhere who still do this and it was perfect for us. The meal was substantial enough and very tasty. I had chicken Tikka chasni and my cousin had the chicken tikka. We ordered 1 of each of peshawari naan bread and rice and we shared them between us. We both wanted each but we knew it was way too much and we would struggle to eat it all. The service was spot on, especially considering there was 1 waiter on and the restaurant was busy. We'll be back next time we're in Airdrie. It has been such a long time since we had such lovely food and great value for our money. £33 with drinks for both of us... that's so unheard of for a 3 course meal in this day of the greedy proprietors. Well done Razias! No one even comes near you for value for money, service and just the right portion size.

Often go here with my mate. Food is lovely and affordable. Lovely clean restaurant with an equally nice ambient atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone that likes authentic Indian food.

Curries full oil and tasted bland. Asked for ginger, garlic and coriander - none in the curries. 30 money wasted. Barely any meat in the curries. Would not order again. Naan bread was orange.

Korma was really bland. Chicken tikka starter was so spicy I couldn’t eat it. Pilau rice was more like fried rice. Naan wasn’t very garlicky and was flat and crispy. Won’t be going back here

Really lovely, what looks like newly refurbished, restaurant. Unlike many Indian restaurants with tacky decor this is really stylish with modern decor and great finishes. The food was really good with great, friendly service. I was stunned, however, why there were not more people in there. Maybe because of the time, before 7pm, and the local football derby. Good news for us though as we were able to get a table without waiting. I really think this could be a hidden gem despite being on the high street. Looking forward to my next visit. As current prices go, good value for money taking into account the lovely surroundings. Vegan options available.

Korma sauce was tasteless and I mean tastless, the sauce was lumpy and looked like scrambled eggs. The other meal was fine. Would not order again

What a special treat this lovely restaurant is, we love it, the food is excellent, and all cooked without any artificial colourings, which adds to it authenticity. Lovely friendly staff, who can't do enough to make it extra special, beautiful interiors too and lovely atmos. Love it. X

Amazing restaurant with very helpful staff and good services. The interior is designed with taste and I was impressed by the table size which is more that any other similar restaurants. The food was absolutely fantastic and the chef was more than kind to cook a dish that wasn't in the menu. We spend really good time in here and if we will have a chance we will come again. Stay away from that shop guys it's scam There's a sign outside saying lunch deal 8.99£ I went for lunch I had biryani and soft drink They charged me 20£ and the biryani on menu says 12£ and sign outside saying 8.99£ lunch deal it's unbelievable 👎

It is family run small business, the food sounded like home made food. I enjoyed the evening meal.

We visited today for the lunch menu. Fantastic value at £8.99 for 2 courses. I will never understand why the place was as quiet. Where else can you get that value. Fresh cooked food for the price of processed nonsense from fast food joints Very clean modern restaurant. Support places like this and not chain fast food places.

The good points are the interior is nice, there’s a welcoming on arrival and the vegetable pakoras are lovely. My main course however looked unappealing and unfortunately for me my chicken was hard, the rice was nice and the sauce was edible. It’s kind of a shame really I was hoping for better.

Popped in here for a quick lunch.. I can honestly say the chicken and veg pakora was one of the best we have ever tasted. Main meals were also delicious, for the price of the lunch it was def value for money.. The service was fab, very attentive.. Will def be back..

Tried to get lunch here at 2.15 as they advertise a set lunch from 12-2.30, but we were turned away because they said the chef goes on a break at 2.30. Very disappointed. Maybe change your advertising.

First time here, came for the very well priced lunch and will definitely be back. Starters weren’t huge (it’s a starter!) but very tasty. The curries were rally good and the naan bread was nice and light - not the heavy stodgy bread you often get at restaurants. I’m told they only use natural herbs and spices, and certainly I didn’t see anything with that bright red food colouring in it. Great deal for a lunch and I’m planning on coming back for an evening meal soon. Top marks

My husband and I visited for meal together and while the food was good the service was not. Took 30 minutes to clear away our main course plates after we were finished and we were the only table in. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert and as we had ordered off the pre theatre menu tea/coffee or ice cream were included, I had to go to the bar to order dessert. Very slow response again after we were finished our desserts so just went to bar to pay. Be careful as they added a tip to our bill in the middle between meals and drinks so you might not notice and tip twice.

Absolutely delicious food from the pre theatre menu. Chicken chaat is amazing. Only problem is there's not much heat in the building.

Very poor. Even at £6.99 lunch menu tasteless! One drink non alcoholic and one beer. Extremely small portion with maybe 3 bits of chicken. Vegetarian option a couple of bits of broccoli. Naan bread stretched to a thin limit nearly at £3.95. Very bad manners from the server. Bill still came to short of £30. Would not be back if it was for free!

Food was just average, decent enough but would not rush back....pakora burnt and and main of South Indian garlic chilli chicken had little flavour...pity!

Was at a 21st birthday party on Saturday 8th Oct.and I must say it's the best Indian meal I have had in a long time,from the starter to the dessert was absolutely delicious and nicely presented and the service was also excellent, they couldn't do enough for you.First time in there and I would definitely go back again when in airdrie as I stay in larkhall,All in all great service and food.

Lunch was great. They don't add colouring to the food so it's more for your taste senses to pick up on.

Sorry Raziàs not for me ,I'd really the great reviews and decided to try so ordered and picked up a takeaway tonight chicken tikka vhuna,rice and a wee done garlic naan . Firstly the staff were very nice . The rice was nice and fresh but the main meal was poor .chicken a bit tough and not a lot of it ,sauce was OK and the Garlic naan had not one bit of garlic on it and it was not puffed up like naan usually is sorry guys expensive for a disappointing meal which I didn't eat much of

My parents ordered a takeaway from Razias yesterday and were disgusted by the quality of the food. Was there a chef on or a member of the waiting staff?? My dad had chicken Bhuna which was thickened a lot with flour. My Mum had the Chicken Tikka which also had been thickened with flour. No Garnish (onions or salad) which you usually get with a Indian meal / starters. Pakora lacked taste. The Samosas were coated in a strange substance. Disgusting. The rice was also VERY salty. £28 worth of food went into the bin as they could not eat it. The food was not cooked the way it was supposed too and feel the chef needs sacked and retrained. My mum cooks Indian meals from scratch with all the spices etc and feels she could have done a better job. Get a grip Razias!!

Fab restaurant :) my family and I eat here around four times a month . Best food ever ! They don’t use any nasties or food colouring . All natural and fresh. Great service :) x

I came across Razias while travelling around scotland with my family. Food was amazing and the environment was friendly and welcoming. Authentic food takes a liitle while to prepare and it is well worth the wait. I would recommend a visit you will not be disappointed.

Food was amazing fresh tasty, great portions lamb was soft, garlic naan bread one of the best I've hand soft and full of flavour. Desert was very sweet and moist. Staff couldn't do enough for you, but also didn't pester, very polite and friendly. Will definitely be back

Takeaway pizza was disgusting, cold, no tomato base on it, dry as an old shoe,, dissapointed on a Saturday night, mixed kebab for £8 and got 6 small pieces of kebab with a jazzed up salad so all in £25 down the drain

Visited this restuarant twice so far. Had to go back a second time to confirm the food was as good as we thought. Now our favourite local Indian restaurant. Love the fact they do not use vibrant colouring and the nan bread is light. The pre- theatre menu is great value.

Without doubt the best Punjabi food in Lanarkshire. Good home cooked food with quality ingredients. No food colouring either. Worth the drive every time

Went in to collect a takeaway about three weeks ago. Pre-ordered lamb karahi with rice and nan bread which is my usual order. Was Thursday night and the restaurant was very quiet which is not unusual and the owner was very polite and chatty as he usually is. The meal was totally bland and tasteless no hint of any spices at all and very watery and I was so disappointed as the food is normally excellent. Should really have phoned on the night to discuss this. I would be reluctant to return as the prices are not the cheapest and there may be other restaurants offering better value for money in the local area.

Very authentic food! No fake looking colours and the flavours were amazing. A 3 course lunch for under £8. Full size portions and nice and spicy. Really worth a visit.

sorry guys but the food was terrible . its tasteless and the nan is from a packet and comes looking like a frisbee. the wife had tandoori lamb which took an hr and came so dried up she couldn't eat it . wont be back . came home and been on toilet for 20 mins . however the guy was friendly and kept apologising so the star is for him

visited this restaurant for the first time, delicious food, nice staff, very clean and modern and not expensive. food has no artificial colours added and tastes all the better for it. if you haven't been yet make the effort to go, you will not be dissappointed

Both me and my family agree that Razias cook exceptional food. The service was quick and the waiter was very polite. I had chicken korma which tasted amazing. The rice and the nan were to die for. My cousin had lamb desi, she still hasn't stopped talking about how nice it was. We would highly recommend it and we’ll definitely be back

A fairly new restaurant and I have been in for lunches and dinners. 3 course business lunch is great value. Dinner menu fairly standard but be warned - order a nan to share as it is HuGE!

Run by husband and wife. Very nice selection of food in the right ambience. Would recommend.

Absolutely fantastic! I'm a vegetarian with a garlic intollerance which they accommodate without any fuss. They food is great and not the usual bright orange fodder you normally get, they don't use any artificial colourings. If you haven't tried it... Why not?
