Delivery rip off. Gave the guy £60 and got change for £50 - £10 less; didn’t realise till later. Phoned them to mention it, but they didn’t bother. Given them plenty of business and even recommended them plenty too . Not any more; don’t like being taken the p**s out of 😉

I have been using Chilli and Spice for the last 11 years and I have never had a bad take away. Reccomend the cheese naan and chicken Rogan Josh. Always very polite and helpful on the phone. Order early on Fridays and Saturdays as they do get busy and wait times are a bit longer, but it's worth it.

I’ve been using this takeaway for over 10 years because the food is good. It still is and that’s why I have given 2 stars instead of none. I’m saddened to say I won’t be ordering there again. The inflated prices have become ridiculous. £16 for a popadom, a main, a rice and a plain nan is daylight robbery.

Could someone help. Does that meat look like chicken, it’s a dark shade of brown.ordered normal meals for collection as delivery isn’t anywhere near good enough . Got two imposter meals , didn’t look like what we would Normally get, tasted good although not as good as usual.

Pre ordered for collection Christmas Eve. It’s the first time we have ordered here as my daughter has just bought a house locally. Wow. Food was fresh very tasty with generous portion sizes. It’s by far the best take away we have had in a very long time. Staff when ordering and collecting were very polite and even helped me carry my order to the car. Thank you guys - will definitely be back soon

After moving away from the area we found ourselves back within reach of the legendary chilli and spice , we couldn’t miss the opportunity to feast upon its legit ness all again , 100 percent the best thing you can eat besides pum pum , I love chilli and spice it tastes so nice . We won’t be leaving it another year ever again

Thanks once again for a lovely takeaway. I know I had to wait a little while, but at least I know it's cooked fresh and was piping hot when I arrived home. A lovely weekend treat.

We had given up on Chilli & Spice after years of being customers due to the waiting time for the food and being lied to each time we called to see where the delivery was. Last night we decided to try them again but another evening of disappointment and lies! I called to place my order early (5.15pm) and expected to have to wait and was told the food would be an hour. At 6.50pm I called to enquire and was told the driver would be out in 10 minutes. The food finally arrived at 7.50pm ( 2 hours and 35 minutes later) with no apology and the food by then was not warm. Needless to say we will again no longer be customers of Chilli & Spice. If you’re local I suggest the nearby NASHAA where the food is delicious, the staff are friendly & it’s well worth the extra few pounds. And, no I’m not on commission!

Sad to leave this review as we love the food, but we have unfortunately been messed around with the wait time on many occasions at this point. This time, we were told 3 hours on the initial call so were expecting it to be a long time, especially since it is New Year's Eve. We phoned at around the time we were expecting the delivery and they said they were just packing it up which was not a problem. We phoned again half an hour later because the food should have arrived and they told us the same thing again so clearly they had lied about it the first time. They then tried to convince us not to cancel the order despite the fact we kept saying that my partner had to leave for work, eventually managed to cancel. Very disappointed in this, as much as I love the food I cannot justify being messed around like this again.

I'm stopping in a local hotel to this takeaway. I came across it on a search and I'm so pleased I gave it a go. The starter, main course, rice and Nan were probably the best I've had for some time. A superb meal and will definitely use it again. Thankyou to all staff for a fantastic meal. 😀

This Is my second review and I do not apologise for doing so. I have sampled the majority of Coventry Indian takeaways and this is in my opinion undoubtedly the best. If you are looking for a different dish try the chicken Naga, It's really hot. So even If you enjoy a madras, ask them to go easy on the Naga Chillies ( scotch bonnet). The chicken is of really good quality. Well done to you all of you and thank you.

Wow I would just like to share my experience with this wonderful Indian takeaway. The ease of ordering the friendly And helpful staff.The food we ordered was delicious but when I got home a rice was missing so I telephoned and they said they would get me another ready so when I went to collect they compensated me with a few freebies in a way of an apology. I was more than happy and will definitely be visiting again . Highly recommend to all .

We have tried many dishes from the menu and each one has been delicious. The staff are friendly and take care to make sure your order is correct. We truly have never had a reason to be disappointed. This is a small local business with great customer service, realistic estimates of delivery times and most importantly great food. Highly recommended.

We have had around a dozen takeaways from the Chilli and Spice and every one of the meals have been superb. Last night we tried something new. Chicken pasanda, a lovely rich, sweet, creamy dish. If you like a korma type meal, try this one, fantastic. I had a chicken Naga, usually one of the hottest dishes and very spicy. I requested that they made it medium, which they did. Absolutely tasty and flavoursome - you must try! This is a very small outlet, so on busy nights, order early and be patient, It's worth the wait. If you are the owner and are reading this review, DO NOT EVER LET THE CHEF GO!

Absolutely Ruined our Saturday night with a 2hr40 minute wait for food after being told 60minutes, phoned up three times and was repeatedly lied too about where the food was and how long it would be, really gets frustrating! This is the second time this has happened and we won’t be ordering again, which is a shame as it’s our local. They don’t seem bothered about keeping regular customers.

We had a chicken chilli, garlic masala. It was hot, spicy and fabulously tasty.We also ordered the makani chicken. A rich, mild, sweet almondy dish full of flavour.Both dishes full of good quality chicken.Very friendly attentive staff.From a very experienced curry addict, this takeaway is my definitely my firm favourite!

This is the only thing I miss about living in Coventry! This was my go to takeaway when I lived in the area. I have used Chilli and Spice for many years. I wish they would deliver to where I live now. Never disappointed. The food was always fresh, warm and delicious! Whenever I am back in Coventry and having a takeaway this is the place!

Best curry house in Coventry with top class service and phonemonal consistency, also I’ve been informed by the management they have introduced a lot of new dishes to order such as different style prawn dishes and even they’ve started doing all the dishes in beef on their new menu.

Excellent delicious food. Ordered a delivery. It took an hour due to ordering a lot of food. Takeaway was served in a box. We got 4 free popadoms, yoghurt and chilli dips. Starters that we ordered were 2 shish kebabs and 1 shami kebab. They gave three portions of salad. Our starters were very tasty. We ordered a chicken balti, chicken pasanda, a peshwari naan and chicken saagwala. Compliments to the chefs at Chilli and Spice.

We really enjoy the food however waiting 2 and a half hours for food to be delivered is unacceptable.

It's the first time I have ordered from Chilli and Spice and I wasnt disappointed. The food is by far the best I have had from a take away in Coventry. It was beautiful. There were a group of 7 of us and we ordered about 50 quids for of food to share. I tried the garlic chicken chilli masala and the tandoori lamb chop masala. It was succulent and delicious. The whole group enjoyed every dish from tandoori mix grills to chicken Rogan Josh. I will definitely be coming a regular. Well done everyone. Great food.

Huge portion of special biryani, lamb was soft as butter lots of chicken & suculent lil prawns.free poppadums dip & salads. Tasted great exactly what i fancied.lovely lemony towel too for a after pigout clean up!

Ordered food from here lots as the sauces they use are just amazing. We normally order chicken-based dishes but for once recently ordered lamb. It didn't taste like lamb and the texture was totally unlike lamb. Every now and then the portions will be a little on the stingy side too, so if the restaurant reads this I hope it helps provide them with some feedback.

Hasn't let me down yet. Decent portion sizes. Sometimes have to wait a long while if busy but that is understandable I guess.

Friendly staff great food very much undiscovered and underestimated. We are regular visitors and have never had a bad meal from here although deliveries can be delayed due to busy times along with collections but not a bad thing as all food is cooked on the premises fresh. Try it you wont regret it.

So easy to order . Said 20 minutes and it was , ordered 4 popadoms got 8 , food was was hot , food was wrapped up in a box neatly presented, flavour was good , I think that folk just need to allow at times a little patiance instead of moaning at every little thing. Well done . Will be back next Sunday as well.

Orderd by phone they do delivery but decided to collect, food was ready for when they said it would be. The lamb balti was perfectly cooked and really tasty, the peshwari nan was lovely. Would recommend this place for takeout Indian meals.

Hemos usado este para llevar algunos años, pero la comida de esta noche no era nada bueno. Mi Makhani estaba bien. Mi marido no era Rogan Josh tan bueno porque el pollo estaba tan seca, a pesar de la salsa. Nunca he tenido un desagradable Pershwari Nan. La masa sin cocer y no pedazos de coco. En cambio en el medio era una especie de coco con sabor dulce pegajoso gunge. Lo siento, pero ahora debemos buscar otro sitio.

Mi hija sólo le gusta pollo tikka masala y sólo comer de aquí, dice ella en cualquier otro sitio no está tan bueno. Siempre consigue satisfacer mi pedido pollo biriyani sin cebollas, que algunos otros tome siempre utilizada para la lucha.

Love the food here always great the only thing i would say is they get very busy so Friday and Saturday get your order in early otherwise you will wait hour and half for delivery or longer even collection will be long wait but worth waiting for !!!

I have ordered from Chilli and spice for the past couple of years.. And they are just great... The delivery man is always great the people on the phone are so so polite and lovely ! The chefs are doing a great job! I always recommend Chilli and spice to people.I must say there chicken tikka masala is AMAZING ! I like how they send free salad popodoms, sauce and fresh wipes with all deliveries. This place is UNDER estimated... I am due a tikka masala hmm will have to pop down there ASAP or give them a call.

This is a favourite for takeaways, we do try others but usually opt for this one. Last order, The chicken biryani had lots of chicken was beautifully fresh with a very nice veg sauce with nice selection of vegetables. The lamb pathia was tender and spicy. We quite often also go for the combi dishes two smaller curry dishes with rice for around £8 a bargain, the king prawn Bhuna is delicious. Delivered with free papadoms and dips brilliant! It's generally over an hour for delivery, we don't mind we just order allowing for that.

I have always been skeptical of Bangladeshi takeaways full of greasy and oliy food passing off as Indian takeaways, however this one was a pleasant surprise, food full of flavour and taste and not just the standard oily tomato sauce based sweet sour stuff...definitely recommended

Always feshly cooked and tasty. Have never been disappointed with anything I have tried from the menu. Last thing purchased was a Tikka Wrap for under a fiver. Should have been a snack for my wife and I but came complete with poppadoms, dips and salad. We were amazed with the quantity and the quality and were full up at the end of it!

Recommended this Indian by a friend and we now use this place as our regular takeaway. The service is excellent and the delivery is usual before the estimated time given when making an order. Price is on par with many other local takeaways.

Chilli and spice is superb. We moved nearby in June 2014 and no joke this place is so good we can't stop ordering takeaway. We always have the same; chicken tikka main, egg fried rice and popadoms. It's so tasty, good price, always on time and delivery guys are friendly and ALWAYS have the right change in a little envelope ready. Super tasty place. Definitely recommend it.

Me and my wife have a takeaway from chilli and spice every Friday and sometimes more! , not because we are lazy and can't be bothered to cook, it's because these guys can cook quality Indian food way better! We have had hundreds of meals from here over the years and have never had any complaints, everything is always fresh, perfectly cooked and delivered hot and in a reasonable time, the staff are very friendly and will always try and meet specific needs, I would recommend this place to anyone!

l live a few miles away in March way, but I vow by Chilli and Spice, the food is out of this world, proportionate meat, chicken or whatever ingredients unlike other curries where you get a tub full of watery,oily sauce and just two pieces of meat. I love it here. I come often. When they are busy they can make mistakes but catch them when they are not and the food is awesome. Cheap too. Can't ask for more.

First of all I just want to say I visit India monthly with work so I can compare real Indian food with what You can get in the UK. The guy's that run Chilie and Spice are really friendly and they have never once got our order wrong. The food is always consistently excellent and it's always wrapped up for collection/delivery perfectly. The portions are plentiful and always delicious. This takeaway came highly recommended so i decided to drive the 31 miles from Birmingham to Coventry. I had a good feeling about it after placing my order, the guy on the phone was friendly, polite and professional. I was greeted with same enthusiasm upon my arrival too and they had packed my order like i have never seen before. To say the food was good would be an understatement, it was every one of the 31 miles. Staff fantastic and food fantastic.

Order from here quite often as I only live around the corner, as I work late it's easy to just pop in and get a curry on the way home. The food is always lovely, the staff are friendly and if you don't know what too have they will advise you depending on how hot you like things.Even on a Friday night when they are busy ordering and waiting for the food doesn't take long, 10 minutes max. Even telephone orders are quite quick and only take on average half an hour for delivery.Overall amazing place too eat, beautiful food would recommend too all!

The food here is consistently good but order your food ahead of time because delivery times are normally over an hour. They usually quote 45min but Im used to having to wait 1h30

Thought we would give this a try as it's only round the corner from us... Have used the same take away for 10+ yrs... The food was great and cheaper than our regular place... All food I'd boxed up & even gave us hand wipes... Very friendly service... Even used them on Boxing Day

This is without doubt the best tasting indian takeaway I've ever had, I can't eat from others now. However, for about the last two months it's been poor in regards to service; missing items several times and then again being charged, continually late. It's such a shame as this is a fantastic tasting Indian takeaway.

I order regularly from these guys, food is lush and never have I had to complain about anything. There customer service is top notch (although sometimes deliveries do take longer than expected but they have definitely been working on that) defiantly worth the try. You won't be disappointed. Don't be fooled with there small shop (no offence). Probably one of the best fast food places in Coventry.

By far the best Indian food I've ever had. My family and I would regularly order from here abs now I've moved away I make a point of getting a curry to bring back with me as we have tried every curry takeaway in near us and nowhere comes even slightly close to the standard of chilli & spice. We order regularly from chili and spice and after trying most other take always this is by far the best. The food tastes amazing and always delivered hot. We have tried most of the currys but I highly recommend the lamb balti it's just amazing and there nan bread is so good. If your looking for excellent tasty cheap food then chili and spice are the one to buy from.

Used Chilli he and Spice many times over the last few years and it's always been good. Granted, we did always have the same dishes. Me and the Mrs fancied something different this evening and I have no idea what's happened. We ordered poppadoms with mango chutney and got chilli and mint sauce and raita. The garlic naan was stodgy and the Mrs' highly unusual choice of an English dish (what's that about?)... chicken and chips were a disgrace. Eight small cubes of chicken fried in ghee with half a portion of dry cold chips and a few peas for £4.20! My chicken biryani tasted of nothing coriander (cos it had massive amounts in it, I suppose). Standards have slipped, chilli and spice, you need to get back to the normal levels!!

I used this take away for the first time today, it was recommended to me by family who had used it earlier the same day, it had been recommended to them by other family members who use it regularly. The food was very tasty and hot. The tandoori chicken, chicken pakora and the chicken tikka massala are my fave's so far! Definately better than other take aways ive tried

I have used chilli and spice many times but the last couple of times the food has been poor.I ordered five different currys because there was a few of us and all the currys looked the same.we didnt know what each curry was and they all tasted very similiar.We thought that might have been a one off so we tryed it again.We ordered a chicken rogan josh and a chicken masala balti which on both dishes the chicken was tough.We couldnt eat the dishes so had to be thrown away.We will not be using this take away again

I've sampled many different Indian subcontinent restaurants across the UK, and Chilli and Spice is certainly one of the best. I'm very lucky to now live nearby!I order from here once or twice a week on average, the food is always consistently excellent. The staff are very helpful, polite and friendly.I would particularly recommend the Naga Biryani, Nargis Kebab and the Chicken Jalfrezi with extra chicken and a boiled egg ;)

I have been a customer since chilli and spice first opened and have never been able to fault their service. In the first instance you are always treated as a valued customer, all the staff are very friendly and go out of their way to give good service. The food is excellent being of a much higher standard than the normal takeaway. They have an ethos of care which is demonstrated not just, in the excellent service but extends right through to the way the food is packaged for the journey home. I think they value the relationship they have with their customers, talking with you on all manner of subjects while you wait for you order.
